A Thousand Storms

Rate this book
Everly is running from home to a world she's never known, but a memory like hers makes things hard to forget. Her endearing nature and reckless smiles help her settle in quickly.

Then she collides with Mason - all bitter frowns, smirks, and cynical remarks. He shatters her picture-perfect life with a frustrating improbability, seeing through her lies and façades as though she was made of glass. But his past is an abyss far darker than hers.

Secrets, scars, and painful pasts...they can only face their storms together.

I will shamelessly admit that I’ve read this AT LEAST 10 times. No exaggerations. It’s my comfort story and guilty pleasure; I’ve followed this story from mid-2019 until it’s conclusion and Everly Reed will always hold a special place in my heart.

On going

"A thousand storms" is a spin-off of the "Hoodie Girl" and so much better than it. I read "Hoodie girl" when I was introduced to wattpad and looking back at it now, I think that story was cliche in many aspects but this story has different setting (fortunately not highschool) and the romance is well developed and cute.

Amazing. Although it wasn’t finished by the time I read this book (and still isn’t), this is by far one of the most well written books I’ve ever read on Wattpad. I’m going to reread it once it’s complete and I’ll update this review.

This book is one of the best books I've ever read, so well written, I could re-read this book countless times, and I have. This book is literally so perfect, and I'm totally in love with it.

2.95/5 stars. This was pretty good. The only reason i’m not rating it quite 3 stars is because it still needs a few rounds of edits.

Some favorite quotes:

• I knew that I had planned to stay away from her, to protect her from myself, but she was like a ray of sunshine and I was so very, very cold.
• It was as though someone poured melted chocolate over the marshmallow parts of my soul.
• "The sun doesn't care if it's burning too bright. It doesn't need permission to burn.
It just... does."
• "Something else," I murmured, "You're something else. Unreal. The square root of negative one, blondie. That's you."

Yuen is one of my favorite authors on Wattpad, and I already read half of ATS about a year ago (never finished :p), so I knew it was going to be good. But lemme just say I love her writing style. You'll be breezing through snappy dialogue, and then she hits you with stunningly beautiful prose that knocks the air out of your lungs and gives you butterflies. Sometimes she states something so deeps with such Hemingway-esque simplicity.

If there's one thing that can be taken away from ATS, it's that consent is sexy. *vomits at my own words* Also, it's rated mature for good reason, and I pretty much ad to skip the last two chapters. Oh, well.

There is no secret that I LOVE this author’s work. I started this book way back when she just started writing it. It was a really charming, funny, and melancholy read. Mason and Ever's romance progressed slowly, which I enjoyed.

I'll be honest and say that I've read this at least ten times. There are no exaggerations. It's my guilty pleasure and comfort story; I've been following this narrative since mid-2019 and Everly Reed will always have a special place in my heart. My all time fav wattpad read!

I stayed up late last night to complete this novel. Overall, a fantastic read—the amount of twists and turns in the second half surprised me, but I enjoyed it regardless.

I think everybody who is a wattpad reader knows of this story. 100% worth reading. Thank you Author for bringing such a heartwarming, meaningful book. Wishing you pure success.

I hope Yuen will have the chance to publish this book. While I loved the Hoodie girl back when it was a free story on wattpad, A Thousand Storms is soooo much better.
I have read this at least 3 times even though I usually don't read books more than once so that says a lot. It's this lovely comfort book that will give you all the feels everytime.

Also, Mason >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> we love a broken/bad boy who actually has a good heart and treats his girlfriend (Ever in this case) like a Queen.

Overall it does exactly what a college romance with enemies (who were actually friends when they were very young) turned to lovers needs to accomplish.

I have read this book at least 20 times, it's again like Drive or Crash in which I read it before bed like my little bedtime story where I can reprogram my brain to turn off and think about loving relationships and hot fucking men like Mason. Mason is the hottest man ever written and I will DIE on that hill Everly is fucking adorable and the trauma and what she works through is so valid. I have read the pot brownie chapter at least 30 times because that's literally my favorite and Omigod sharing the bed and the apartment after what happens. Ughhhhhhh, fuck me Yuen so goddamn good!!!

It was a very sweet, fun, and sad enjoyable read. I loved the slow progression between Mason and Ever's relationship. I stayed up pretty early to finish reading this novel. Overall, really great read-and the amount of twists and turns in the second half I honestly did not expect, but I did enjoy nonetheless.
