Wow! This suspenseful story that sent chills up my spine. Seldom is "Horror" my genre of good reads but now and then, a great one comes along to transport me to a chilling realm. An excellent read during the cold winter months ahead. Be prepared to for a petrifying ride.
A married couple is trying to make it out of their home alive after hearing screams in the middle of the night. What happens when someone tries to break down their front door? A great quick, suspenseful read!
Kris is woken up again by Glenn’s snoring, She goes to the kitchen and gets herself a beer. She hears a noise outside and at first isn’t sure what’s going on, but the scream brings reality crashing down. Someone is being attacked. Kris and Glenn’s home becomes the next target and they somehow have to try and live through the night. Edge of the seat stuff with twists and turns. At first I thought Kris was just another grumpy house wife but as I got into the story, I was routing for her.
I wasn’t so keen of the cover, Wolfenden usually does better than this… but the story was great - 4 1/2 stars
