Good series

I enjoyed these books very much. Good action, good humor, good romance. The female lead could have been a bit less....stupid at times. She was supposed to be dominant but rarely acted it. That was a problem for me. But overall, I would read other books from this author.

HILARIOUS TITLE, A DEAL FOR 3 GREAT BOOKS❣️

I am Big fan of Aimee Easterling! She knows how to be tender, hilarious, exciting, all the while allowing her characters to grow and develop into the heroes and heroines we need and want them to be. Her books are fast easy reads because she doesn’t feel the need to keep explaining the same thing over and over. She’ll keep you guessing until the very end, which I really like, because I often have a plot figured out by about page 35.
You really should start with BLOODLING WOLF, the book that introduces Wolfie, the scrumptious hero. Then book 1 of this series introduces us to Terra Wilder and we go on an engaging adventure with her as she starts to become a strong leader with the help of Wolfie and assorted pack members. We’ll
meet another great gal, Fen, who gets her own series called,”ALPHA UNDERGROUND TRILOGY”. I've already read and reviewed the first book in her series, "HALF WOLF". But going back to book 2, Terra takes over as Alpha to her pack and learns a lot about what’s involved in being a leader. She and Wolfie will have to work hard and smart if their 2 packs are to survive. In the end we’ll meet The adorable Ember who will go on in book 3 to become the little hero who will get her own series, “WOLF LEGASY QUARTET”.
This is really a super deal and wonderful to listen to all 3 books at once.
Kelly McCall Fumo is the perfect narrator for these books.
Disclaimer — I listened to BLOODLING WOLF, read SHIFTLESS and HALF WOLF, then was given PACK PRINCESS As a review copy. ALPHA ASCENDENT is essentially a review copy, too, though I got it as this trilogy.

This was a very well written series, full of interesting twists & turns. Even if you think you have read everything in the world of werewolves, this is a very entertaining story. The characters were well-developed, the story moved at a quick pace & it left me wanting to know more about what happens next.

Ms. Easterling has introduced a lot of new and different aspects into the genre of shifter books, In this series, you meet werewolves who can't shift (called Shiftless), those of half-blood (who aren't accepted into the elite packs), and Bloodlings (those who are born in Lupine form and have a difficult time becoming human). You also have a tyrant of a pack leader who is turning full wolf in Crazy Wylder and a lot of Pack Princesses.

Ms. Easterling has done a great job of world-building and describes the pack dynamics and hierarchy of werewolves wonderfully. The books have some comic relief in the Yahoos (young teenaged werewolves just being teenagers). This trilogy is a full story, but the author has written in enough backstories along the way that I look forward to more books that tie in to this series.

This series is appropriate for all ages and can be enjoyed by young and old. If you are looking for something new in the genre without a lot of sex that often seems gratuitous, give this series a try.

The narrator, Kelly McCall Fumo, does a great job and really added a lot to my listening enjoyment. I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this series by the author and chose to review it.

Listened to the story on Audible. I had the boxset with all 3 books. Narrator does a good job. She has a nice tone of voice; a little more emotion in her voice would be good, but it’s still a good listen. Good quality recording too; not my favorite narration, but I’d recommend the audio.

I’ll write a quick review with all 3 books in mind for this boxset, but I wrote longer, more detailed individual reviews for each book as well.

The writing is good, and I liked the series okay. I liked main character Terra; she’s the only POV we get, so I appreciate that she’s likable and stands up for herself. The romance is sweet, and I liked Wolfie. The romance is too tame for me, but they are cute. This whole series is an easy read with low emotional impact, which is fine if you just want a light read. I would’ve preferred more depth, but I liked it. I’m not a huge fan of how this author writes her wolf shifters, and I wish there was more action and less pack politics. Pack politics is fine, but it’s the main thing through all 3 books, so it gets boring. Especially, when the antiquated ideals of the pack hierarchy/politics aren’t being fought against for positive change. Too much going with the status quo, but I appreciate that Terra tries. This whole series is about Terra trying to find her way in the shifter world and with her pack. Overall, I’d say this whole series is a 3.5; book 1 was the best for me.

Never a dull moment

In addition to a rather captivating storyline, the pace of these books were just perfect for me. There was so much to be told and I felt like I made a connection with so many characters in these books. While Terra and Wolfie were the hero and heroin, many strong personalities were included which added tremendously to the depth of the story. The only thing that would have made this book better was if the author had made Terra display stronger alpha qualities instead of appearing so dependent on Wolfie in several cases. Other than that though it was a great read. And since I enjoyed Aimee's style of writing so much I am tempted to continue Fen's story. I am curious to find out more about that uber-alpha. Something tells me his story might be just as intriguing as Wolfie's. Great job Aimee!

Cute stories

I like werewolf stories - always have ever since watching Lin Chaney Jr. as the tortured Lawrence Talbot in The Wolfman movies from the 1940s.

So, this werewolf saga is a huge departure from the last series I read. In that last one, werewolves were pretty much nasty horrible creatures with few redeeming qualities.

The Wolf Rampant Trilogy goes in the exact opposite direction. Sure, they are still wolves, but mostly they are noble and decent and the stories are written with a bit of a romance novel feel to them. So much so that at times it was a little too sweet for me which is why I didn't give the series a 5 star rating.

Still, the characters are likeable (except for the obvious villains), and the books were well written, which counts for a lot in my opinion.

Aimee Easterling's Wolf Rampant Trilogy is a must-read for anyone who loves shifter lore. Her take on werewolf culture and biology makes this adventure truly unique. Terra, a lone wolf having left an abrasive, overbearing father, is once again drawn back into his clutches. She must learn to channel her own wolf and rise to the challange if she is to survive. Wolfie, a bloodling, must learn to harness his power so that he and his wolf can function as one and be the alpha his pack needs. This set of books takes us through many trials as these two learn to work together to achieve a common goal. Filled with danger, mystery, politics, intrigue and romance the fast-paced and well-written storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters are wonderfully crafted and engaging. This series was truly a delight to read.

This book is too manic depressive in it's main characters switch.

She is weak, hates other werewolves, hates her own wolf, all alphas are vile, avoids them. Them meets some, loves a pack, loves her wolf, loves it all, loves him. Then ignores what everyone wants for her clever idea. She ends strong... then book 2 starts weak as hell again. She ignore what everyone's saying and her own instincts and is controlled by others, never think ahead etc.

Then the language used, it's like it's written by a teenager. No grown woman would refer to a man (and at +25 it is a man) as "the young alpha" or a group of teenagers as "the yahoos'.

I just gave up.

Audio Version Review:
Terra and Wolfie are probably my favorite couple in all of Aimee Easterling's series and it was a joy hearing their story brought to life. From Terra's reintroduction to werewolf society and her meeting bloodling alpha Wofie, to her discovery of unknown family and Wolfie's troublesome relatives, to their journey to being co-alphas and all the challenges they must face as both a couple and a pack, this series will have your attention from the very beginning.
The narrator not only brings the story and characters to life, but fills it with all the emotion and animation that will draw you in and make this an absolute delight to listen to.

The three books were a very typical werewolf story with a strong Alpha female and her mate find a way to accept all the diverse werewolves out there: Lesbian, halfies, the shiftless, etc.
The story is strong and fun. All the characters are well defined and there are the entire range of ages and attitudes in the werewolf packs in this world of Easterling's books.

These books are fun and they kept me reading and in some ways I want more.

It is a very common Urban Fantasy story, similar to all the other werewolf series out there (In fact Easterling has her protagonist reading a Patricia Briggs novel.

I would recommend this -- have fun!

Audiobook: I was entertained by this three-book box set. I enjoyed the worldbuilding and remarkable characters. I liked Terra Wilder's independent spirit and Wolfie Young who was more comfortable in his wolf skin than his human one. I appreciated all the twists and turns as they worked to overcome the obstacles they encountered in their lives. I thought Kelly McCall Fumo's narration was great, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook through Spotify. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author and found it very enjoyable. If you like stories about shifters, you'll enjoy this novel. The characters are well written with just enough information to define them, but not bore the listener. The plot is interesting and moves along at a fast pace. There is a different twist to this shifter tale. You'll enjoy the tale of young alphas standing up for what they believe in. Best of all, the three books are together so you can listen for as long as you like until you get to the very satisfying end of the series.

The story of the growth of Terra and Wolfie. Becoming strong Alphas together as well as a strong couple and parents. Merging their lives as humans and wolves. Intra and inter-pack politics.

Shiftless: It's a study of the need to be true to oneself, the need to be part of something and what part family (new and old) play in learning the truth about oneself.

Pack Princess: Terra needs to get other Alphas to accept her role while helping her family move toward the 21st century.

Alpha Ascendant: Can Terra make the right decision for her niece as well as for the rest of the clan?

I stopped reading after it seemed like he was going to challenge him to a game of pool. I cannot stand when an author makes a character out to be evil with no redemption and then turns around and paints a completely different picture where that yes that character did bad things but here is why and they had such good intentions. It seems like every book I read is plotting to drive me insane with terrible endings.

Another satisfying listen by aimee Easterling, she really does wolf shifters well. I love the female characters the most but wolfies no slouch either.
Recommended for romance and shifter fans that enjoy a book with clever depth.
The narration was perfect for this story letting me almost take part in the events and letting the words bring it to life. l found the book interesting, full of community, action and friendship although it was not all plain sailing for this bunch of wolf shifters.

Read the first book, the beginning showed promise with a different take on the world of shifters. The book started to lose me from the middle of the first part, didn’t feel the connection between the central characters.
Started the second part but decided that it wasn’t grabbing me enough to finish it.

I struggled with this book! Well honestly not the first one. It was really good and easily drew me into the story. I liked the characters. Sadly once the second one got going I struggled to continue. There are mates in here. The female pretends to not have one and flirts....yes flirts with other males pretending to be available. I did not like that. It really didn’t get better. Sorry.

Will finish later

As usual when reading about werewolves it's mostly about pack politics and male alphas. So I'm on the second book and already had enough. Sorry to say I may not finish this series.

Prepared to binge read

Once I stared this set of books, I couldn't stop reading till I was done. Three different stories but about most the same people/shifter. Well written self-contained stories that was very entertaining to read.

Another great wolf trilogy

A great romance story. We are taken on a journey through Terra and Wolfie’s romance from both their troubled youth to the start of a new life. Lots of ups and downs along the way same as anyone’s life but mix in werewolf culture and you have a story.

Gave up listening half way through. The reader did a good job, but the writing was not good. This wasn’t a story that flowed together. It was a description of everything that was done, said or thought by the main character, apart from the important stuff, which were just glossed over.

Great new series!

I love the setting and pack dynamics! My only complaint would be Terra's wishy washy attitude. I will say it ended well and I'm now off to read Half Wolf
