This is my favourite story to date of this authors work.
An unapologetic journey of wickedness and depravity that took me down a rabbit hole with its amoral abandonment of all things virtuous.
A savage story of perversion and criminality but with an almost sinful sensuality about it.
This is not a story of riotous redemption: where an immoral anti-hero realises the wrongness of there actions and is saved by the love of a decent woman.
This is the exact opposite where the very players themselves revel in their perversities.
They say there's someone out there for everyone and here a serial killer gets to meet there destiny.
This was a really different read and there's so much more going on here than actually meets the eye.
Shocked me sideways a bit that one and totally didn't see it coming at all.
And I know I have said this before but know your limits disclaimers are there for a reason
If you are easily shocked and offended then this is probably not the story for you.
I now am more than ready for the next book in this very different series a thumbs up from me.

I haven't read many dark romances or thriller type books. Honestly, this was the darkest, most twisted story that I've ever read. Not sure how I feel about it. I liked it and I didnt. I felt like the story needed something...I did however like the writing style & thought the story was very well developed.
I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

Sick…that is what I said to myself as I read the last of this story. I found the story well written in a dark gritty rather disturbing way. Jynn finds herself with a serial killer but over time rather into Antone although his brother Devon is there from time to time trying to talk her into getting away from the inevitable death she faces if she stays with Antone. I really can’t say much about the story as it would give the storyline away. I will say the story included pain, suffering, blood, bondage, sadism, psychological manipulation, twisted thinking… it was different and left me wondering how many people in the world are really like those portrayed in this story.

It is really dark really erotic, I can't resist stopping reading! The story keeps dragging me in although I felt like something is missing in the story. I do find it too dark and twisted at some point and at some point I really couldn't take it but I want to keep going. If you're gonna read this book, be aware of super dark and twisted story.

Dark! And I absolutely love it. I am in awe of this crazy drama. This is my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last. I've already downloaded the next book.
Highly recommend for fans of dark romance of you like rooting for the bad guy and have a thing for serial killers.

I was kindly given this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve never read an erotica like this before & although i knew what I was letting myself in for, at times it was a little bit too dark for me.
I did however like the writing style & thought the story was very well developed.
I will be picking up more from this author in the future.

What a conflagration of emotions this story was able to elicit in me. I felt intrigued, appalled, confused, disgusted, and compelled to continue. The individuals we meet, Antone and Jynn, are two extremely flawed individuals. They are not only flawed, but they are definitely, uniquely, seriously damaged, demented and dangerous.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I am amazed by what a talented writer she is. For me, this was a sick, deranged story, so full of intense and inconveivable surprises, that it kept me reading past my horror, right to the end!

A very strange book, but well written. Both characters are rather flawed, damaged and yup a bit demented. With blood, gore and elements that most people would find disturbing, these two characters flow across the page in their insanity. To go into more gives away the story, enough to say that this book is not for the faint of heart.

The blurb was very compelling (I personally love messed up / dark erotica) so I couldn’t wait to start reading it. The prologue was also amazing: I really liked reading Antone’s thoughts and feelings, how he would treat his ‘slaves’. The prose seemed to flow beautifully and all those dark metaphors made me think “Damn, yes, you’re the book I’ve been looking for.”
ALAS! What happened after the prologue?! It nearly looked like a different person was writing the rest of the book!
The storyline was a bit stilted and wouldn’t make sense - sometimes time would jump without breaks or knowledge. The female MC (I’m sorry, I can’t even remember her name) was totally crazy (and later on we realise she, in fact, IS actually crazy) because the way she acted was just... insane. Some of the characters’ actions were just so unrealistic they bordered on ridiculous (especially the female MC’s) and that really brought the shine of the book down.
I’ve read many, MANY books with mentally insane people in them before which were well written and would actually mindblow you. On the other hand, this book just shows a crazy chick doing crazy things (bite other people in the neck kind of crazy and going home with someone after knowing them for barely a couple of hours) which doesn’t make her actually insane... why? Because we don’t get to really know her inside thoughts - into her “insane mind”, the book would just show you her actions and that justified her being crazy (also lots of past memories of why she became crazy in the first place) which to be honest were lacklustre for me, but to be fair I’m very difficult to shock...
The sex was... quite disappointing to be honest, and the chemistry between the two main protagonists was seriously non-existent. They would just talk and talk and say “dark” stuff, but to be honest this book was plain to me and not really dark.
There were some minor grammar mistakes that can easily be taken care of, as well as, to repeat again, the way the storyline flowed was quite stilted and not very logical.

If you love dark reads then you will love this story. It’s a well written story that had me gripped from start to finish.
Without a doubt this is a story I’m glad I had time to inhale it in one sitting. It’s a crazy read with plenty of twists. I’m jumping into book two now.

This was my first by this Author and Its one of my top reads this year, couldn't put it down these characters are so addicting and they had me in a trance to see what they would do next, they are darker then dark, twisted and scary and they feed off each other, match to match. Antone is a charmer and I loved how he talked and how his mind worked throw Jynn in there to match his brilliant mind and you have a war and it was the most intense situations EVER!!!! Oh wait the brother Devon comes along and things get real interesting. Loads of triggers and gruesomeness and I loved every bit. The writing and descriptions are fantastic and it will suck you right in and I need book two stat.

Dark and disturbing, just how I like it!!!
This was the darkest, most twisted story that I have ever read and I LOVED every page of it!!!
I won't give any spoilers but the characters are dark to the point of scary. They have inner demons trying to claw their way out while feeding their needs they crave. This isn't just a story of fear and suspense but also desire, which makes it for a pretty hot read.
I have read so many dark romances and thriller type books and I can honestly say this one was different from anything I've ever read before. Just when you think it couldn't get any more twisted and disturbing, it does just that. There were times that it was pushing my trigger boundaries but the thrill of it made it that much better. I swore to myself constantly that I had the story all figured out and every time I couldn't be more wrong. There will be triggers for some people. There is Non-consent, rape, torture, and plenty of gruesomeness, so be warned but if you are a lover of dark books than this is a must read for you. It does end on a cliffhanger and I absolutely can't wait to find out what happens next.

Deliciously dark and chilling to the bone, this book was one crazy thrill ride and I loved every minute of it. Seeing inside the minds of serial killers and the mentally unstable loves who get dragged into relationships with them was thrilling. That thin line between love and hate gets muddied when Jynn realizes she's not dealing with a normal handsome man, Antone, but rather a serial killer who is fully capable of ripping her throat out while believing it to be the most romantic acts of love. It was disturbing, but I simply couldn't put it down. I can't wait for book 2 in October! Be warned, it gets graphic, but it's totally worth it to keep reading.

Great read!
All I can say is, where's book 2? This was a good book, characters kept me enthralled the whole time! Can't lie, I'm going to miss Devons character. Jynn is just as crazy as Antone. I just know book 2 will be just as great as this, can't wait to find out what happens next!

A Serial Killer's Desire (Heart Of Darkness #1) by C.F. Rabbiosi was a twisted and crazy 5 star read. I have to say this is the most twisted book I have read in a long time.
Jynn meets Antone at an art show. There is something intriguing, mysterious and dark about him that calls to her. The things these two say to each other after just meeting were hot and you could feel their attraction coming off the pages. Unbeknownst to her just how dangerous this man was.
Antone ends up getting Jynn to his home. Jynn quickly discovers the twisted side to Antone and it calls to her darkside and starts to bring back some memories of a past experience that she had. There is a twist and Devon shows up at the house, this is Antone’s brother. Let’s just say that things take on an even more twisted journey after his arrival.
I loved this book and I couldn’t put it down until I was done. There are several unexpected twists and turns and shocking reveals. I love a book that always keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering just how things are going to pan out. And this really threw me. The characters all added a great element to the story. And we get some twisted, bloody, and sexy as heck scenes. Beware that there are some things that may make you cringe and cause triggers for some .My head was spinning and I was shocked several times. I received an ARC of Ms. Rabbiosi's A Serial Killer's Desire, and this is my honest review. Let me begin by stating that this book has many triggers and delves in to the murderous and demented minds of characters who will push you to your limit and beyond. This book is told from the killer's point of view.
Antone is a rich young man who is a serial killer. Jynn is a young painter who is afraid of the darkness that lurks in her as well as hiding from her past. Devon is Antone's older brother who also has his demons. Antone holds Jynn hostage in his home after meeting and going out for dinner. When Antone realizes that Jynn might have the dark tendencies and urges that match his, Antone finds that he may have possibly found his mate. As Antone tries to free Jynn from her self-made mental prison, they both come to realize that their likes and desires compliment each others. When Devon comes to Antone's house, Jynn is thrown in to a more twisted family matter as she tries and find out what had happened to them both, especially Antone, to make them who and what they are now.
This book is not for the faint of heart. Yes, it is dark, but to date, this is the darkest book that I have read. Ms. Rabbiosi delves us in to a tale of desolation, murder, bondage, and those who are mentally disturbed. When I had thought that I had figured out where the tale was going, Ms. Rabbiosi threw me through a cork screw. The different points of view through-out the story kept me enraptured, and I found that it helped me keep all of the events in order. I highly recommend this book.to those who love a dark book but are able to handle entering the darkest minds of a serial killer and feel their desires and thoughts. I've been reading some light books lately and having fun with them. I had an opportunity to read this book and d*mn am I glad I went back to dark and dangerous!!
Torture, Kill, Terrify. What a perfect line in this book. And, lady button! I don't think I've heard our precious place called that before!
Roman, Jynn, and Devon. Oh, My! I can't believe I care about such murderous, twisted monsters. I fell in love with the men and wanted the very best for my friend Jynn. There are so many things that happened I want to tell you about but there is no way I'm going to ruin this bloody adventure for anyone. The end is shocking and I went straight to book 2 because I had to know what happens to my new besties!!
I've used so many explanation marks in this review and I actually removed some of them. That's just how excited Ms. Rabbiosi's series has me. By the way, when an author tells you there are things that might be triggers and warns you of what some readers could be turned off about, please don't buy the book and then get all upset. I have great respect for authors that are honestly upfront about their content. If you love hard, gritty, and perverted, you have to immerse yourself in this Serial Killer's life!
Oh, I almost forgot! This author goes beyond just writing a terrific tale. She provides a playlist of songs perfectly in tune with this story. I'm just blown away she took the time to bring us in even deeper.
Run, NOW, and commit yourself to this world of degradation and desperation. Love and lust. Murder and mayhem. It's perfectly perverted!!

So this is an introduction for me with this author. I love reading dark, depraved and twisted stories. This first story in the Heart of Darkness trilogy gives us soo much while at the same time so little. There are loads of really dark and depraved acts, but as far as actual story, I can't even describe it for you for fear of spoiling anything. Girl meets guy at an art show, she is on a date with someone else, guy makes arrogant remarks and gets girl's attention. They somehow end up leaving together and thus starts the madness that is this story. Both are... I wouldn't say broken but damaged and twisted in their own way. Who is the more twisted? Who is the most dangerous? Maybe this changes and it ends up being the one who we thought was the villain but he is actually the victim? I am a bit shocked that there are two more stories, who knows maybe we get more story. I give this 4 stars.

They somehow end up leaving together and thus starts the madness that is this story. Both are... I wouldn't say broken but damaged and twisted in their own way. Who is the more twisted? Who is the most dangerous? Maybe this changes and it ends up being the one who we thought was the villain but he is actually the victim? I am a bit shocked that there are two more stories, who knows maybe we get more story. I give this 4 stars.

It really takes a lot to shock my dark & twisty self in books, but I will say C.F. Rabbiosi excelled in shocking me with A Serial Killer's Desire because HOLY DARK HELL! I'm not going into detail because I'm not sure I could describe it even if I wanted to which I don't. I will say this, pay attention to the warning because this has been one of the darkest, mind screw books I've ever read. A serial killer who has some dark tastes, and a captor who may or may not be as crazy as he is to get the heart racing while on the edge of my seat with goosebumps. The twists are coming in hot from every direction which had me starting out dropping f-bombs but those tapered off when I was shocked into complete silence. So yeah, this was a crazy story that had me shocked at it's depravity which again, is very rare so BRAVO C.F. Rabbiosi! Anyway, I'll end this review with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL WHO ARE BRAVE ENOUGH!

This is a very dark story of madness among monsters. I had an admittedly hard time reading it, as the darkness sometimes overwhelmed me. But that was the point of the story, I believe. Getting to understand two like minded individuals that happen to also be sociopathic. It's almost beautiful how these two get together.
There are lots of twists and depraved turns, and you really have no idea what's going to happen. Jynn is a unique femme fatale here...turning the tables on Antone. There was always this ominous feel as I turned the pages, making it unputdownable even as my fragile mind struggled with the graphic scenes.
I do wish the time jumps were delineated better, but I caught on. I'm not sure if I'm truly looking forward to book 2, but I know I'm absolutely compelled to read it!

This is a dark and twisted tale that takes even darker turns in places. It is not any type of sanitised erotica but it does get twisted and steamy in places.
The storyline is interesting and unusual. There are some unexpected twists and turns in the storyline, which completely took me by surprise. There was something about the book that made it really compelling reading.
The characters are also compelling even when their actions and thoughts might not be likeable.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it is definitely dark. If you’re a reader who likes sweet and romantic then this is probably not what you want to read, but if you’re looking for dark and twisted it’s well worth a read.

Thanks to the publisher for an eARC to read and give my opinion.
Sincerely this book need a few more rewrites..... Not only did I have a hard time following the storyline but the characters have zero chemistry. Even compiling the strange couplings between the two, the storyline just appalled me. Give me some erotica....some character appeal...attraction between the characters...something. This story has some strong themes but there's hardly any description, its mostly conversation after all is said and done because he chokes her until she goes into a dream like state. I gave it a two star like since it didn't really entertain me at all.

I REALLY wanted to love this book but I have to be honest, it was a struggle for me to even finish! The description of this book is what had me excited to read it because its so different from your usual romance novels. This book, for me, was hard to get into; I was confused on some of the scenes because of the time jumps. It was all over the place, one minute she's in a cab, the next she's in the drivers seat....I was so lost. I almost did gave up on this book mid-way through but I guess I had to find out how it ended.

I read a lot of dark erotic books, so it takes a lot to really shock me, but Antone and Jynn definitely raised my eyebrows to a new level! It's an intricate, sexually charged read, and we also Devon, who kind of balances out things a little. I don't know if "loved" is really the word to use here, but this is a must-read for anyone who wants to dance with the devil and then some! I thoroughly enjoyed it, cringes and all!
