Lily, stuck wondering if her lover, Ryan, has left abandoned her the very night she had told him she was pregnant, finds herself under increasing pressure to maintain her hold on the people of the island she has just seized control of. With threats both internal and external, she may well find her rule to be short and ending in violence.
Ryan, meanwhile, is taken across the highlands of Scotland by his captors to a place where he will face an uncertain future of his own, but may well find some answers to questions he has long held, as well as some unpleasant revelations.
Book 14 of the Killing the Dead series is here, with action, violence and our favourite serial killer doing what he loves as he survives the zombie apocalypse.
The series that keeps on giving: no spoilers. This is one of the best books I’ve read in this series. It has everything. Richard’s free flowing, simple, descriptive writing style is a pleasure to read. The characters are always true to their creation making them believable and easy to empathise with. By book 14 you’d think the story would start to become stale and overly predictable, but this instalment has opened up extra life (or death - whichever way you want to think of it) and potential storylines to reenergise the narrative for a long while yet. Can’t wait for book 15.
Ryan gets kidnapped, everybody thinks he left them but Ryan knows now that he does have friends and twins on the way. It will be interesting to see him mellow out or take off
Never get tired of Ryan's Antics !! Lily was never my favorite character until this episode Actually, I am loving the new Lily! Keep them coming to Richard Murray!!
