An alpha should never need a backup plan. But Henry Amiraut was no ordinary alpha…

After years of running gangs on the streets of Portland, Henry Amiraut was finally in charge of a pack of his own. But when the secret he’d been keeping for over ten years was brought to light, his once loyal pack turned on him and cast him out. Now, hunted and alone, Henry must do whatever it takes to survive.

Louis LaFavre, is an alpha who is no stranger to accepting lone wolves into his pack. But he never expected to welcome another alpha, especially one like Henry. Not only is he the former alpha of a rival pack, but those hunting him are closing in fast and Louis will have to make a decision that could not only decide Henry’s fate, but threaten the safety of his own pack. Is love worth the risk?

Together, Louis and Henry must discover whether their love is enough to conquer their demons, and work together to outsmart, and out-wolf their enemies.
Hunted Alpha is a gay shifter romance with steamy erotic scenes, danger, and personal darkness overcome by love and acceptance. This book contains themes of male pregnancy/mpreg and transgender issues and is best enjoyed by those over the age of 18.

Although this is not my first rodeo to TransTown, I think I can honestly say that this definitely is my first trans werewolves. 😁 And wow, what a well-written, heartwarming romance it is! ❤️ I went into this audio with certain ideas and opinions and man, I was very pleasantly surprised. 😌

Henry has built his life up as a pack leader Alpha and a renowned surgeon from ground zero. But he has the biggest skeleton in the closet that his pack doesn’t know. He was born Henrietta and he is an omega. When his pack finally found out about the truth, they hunted him down and tried to kill him instead of welcoming and embracing him with understanding arms. And now, he’s on the verge of death and all hopes have lost. And then just when he thought he’s dying, he was rescued by Louis, the rival pack leader and archenemy of Henry. Now if Henry wants a chance at ultimate happiness, he has to trust himself and trust in Louis, the enemy who showed him the kindness and the understanding he’s never seen from anyone else.

If you are looking for heat, this might not be a good fit for you because this is a slow-burn romance with lots of delicious UST between two MCs. I fell in love with Henry because of his bravery and the will to never give up even in the shittiest situations. And Louis is a dream man, kind, understanding, loving and protective. 🥰 And the ending was just perfect. ❤️ When I stated reading MM romance, Noah Harris was one of my earliest discoveries and I used to binge his books. And like a child who chases after new candies, I got lost in so many new authors and I forgot how good his books are. I really have to start reading/listening more Noah Harris. Bryce Chadwell is a new-to-me narrator but he did a great job narrating this story. It was really enjoyable. A solid heartwarming romance book for anyone who’s looking for something unique and refreshing in ABO sub-genre. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

So book two was a collaboration. Wow! So where are the other books.

Started out with werewolf bite on the full moon, can only transform. To a world with wolf gangs and humans wanting the secrets to transform. Of course not for commercial purposes, just military might. A big hullabaloo. Then a court case that was brought to the attention of Wolves in the region. A topic to be discussed! Ya just going to leave all this world building behind. No wonder, there are so many fanfic writers out there.

Only drawback is fanfiction does not get count here on Goodreads

This is a bold story with a topic rarely tackled. It's new, different, fierce and exciting.
Tired, sore, injured and worn, Alpha Henry, 36, is being hunted brutally by his family and pack in Maine. Alpha Louis and his second, Daumier found Henry in the river, near death. They are shocked at his wounds and condition. Big-hearted Louis rescues him and through that find out his story.

Born Henrietta (Omega) has become a Dr., a wealthy surgeon, and has had nearly all of his reconstruction surgery for his reassignment. When he changed over he became Alpha Henry and never looked back. Now, he's brought trouble to Louis' pack doorstep. His pack has tried to kill him for his deception.
Alpha Louis is calm, steady and commanding. The entire pack will help, except one.

Wonderful characters, a new story, a certain and well written exploration of Henry's conversion. I liked this story very much and couldn't wait to see what happened on each page.

It held my complete attention. Well done, with action, comfort, surprises and an M/M love found with a twist; plus terrific descriptive sexy times.
These two authors, Troy Hunter and Noah Harris, got it right.
Marvelous. ENJOY !

Review of Audible audiobook edition. I wanted to enjoy this book; especially as it’s an interesting premise and I think having a trans lead character represented in a book is a great step forward in modern culture. However, it’s really crucial to have a good plot and to make the chemistry and interactions between characters feel authentic and real. This book just didn’t hit the mark and it felt more like the author was focused on communicating a message rather than actually making a good story. The characters don’t even know each other and all of a sudden they’re in love?! The villain was just too pantomime-like and eye roll worthy.

I’d suggest the author reads a load of books and sees what it is about them that makes them special, how they go about introducing characters, what gives depth and hooks the reader in, how you balance the plot with whatever other message you might want to communicate. Yes, love and acceptance is an important message, as is representing trans characters as a lead role. However, it would be much more powerful if the plot itself carried the story, and the character happens to be trans. That would do far more good in representing trans in an acceptant world and would open readers’ eyes and minds to a different reality.

I hate all the inflated reviews out there when readers like the fact that a minority group is represented so give a book 5 stars, as I think it’s crucial to give accurate reviews with constructive feedback. How else will readers ever find the genuinely great books if they’re all rated highly? How is that going to help support the representation of minority groups in books if any books featuring such characters are given preferential and inaccurately high ratings? Everyone should be rated in an equal way, then just happen to sing the author’s praises if they raise the profile or awareness of something close to their heart.

I’ve listened to over 1300 audiobooks from all sorts of genres (...yes I may have an unhealthily obsession with audiobooks!) Of these, I’ve enjoyed the following books which all feature m/m relationships (not an exhaustive list - just off the top of my head). None feature a trans character which is why I was hoping to find a book that did to add to the list, but perhaps the author could read/listen to them and get a bit of direction or ideas for themselves? Some of these feature werewolves, but most are just books to show how relationships can develop on page.

Painted Faces by L.H. Cosway
SPECTR series by Jordan L. Hawk
Evolved by N.R. Walker
Wolfsong by TJ Klune
Exhale by Joel Abernathy
Hidden in Darkness by Alice Winters
Caged: Love and Treachery on the High Seas, by Bey Deckard
Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat
How to Bang a Billionaire by Alexis Hall
The Necromancer’s Dance by SJ Himes
An Alluring Indulgence series by Nicole Edwards (each book features different relationships m/f, m/m, m/m/f)
Love in Laguna series by Tara Lain
Made Marian series by Lucy Lennox
Pelican Bay series by Sloane Kennedy

Some of those are truly fantastic listens, and others are softer easy listens that are just sweet and a nice way to pass an evening. My ratings for them range from 3 stars to 5 stars.

As far as a good werewolf/shifter romance books go, Suzanne Wright’s Phoenix Pack series or Dannika Dark’s Seven series are good - both of which feature m/f relationships. Useful for seeing what formula they use though.

The narrator was decent ..though it was incredibly annoying when he said “end of chapter X” at the end of each chapter. Really not necessary as it’s pretty obvious when the next thing said is “chapter X” for the start of the next one. Seems like an editor issue maybe? Not heard it on a book before.

A strong story of the twists, turns, rejection, and acceptance of transgender life. This was a great collaboration between Troy Hunter with Noah Harris. The sci-fi element of werewolf society was also interesting. Bigotry is a reality no matter what the realm. As quotation from Shakespeare states: "To be, or not to be." Henry strives to find his way and receives the greatest gift of all in his search: the acceptance, contentment and love from Louis, the alpha of the northern Maine pack and even this pack's members with the exception of Pierre. The essence of this story is intriguing with genuine references to medical terminology. For the ARC I received it is my pleasure to give this ARC my honest and voluntary review.

When I read this book I didn't really know what to expect as this was the first ever book I'd read with a transgender character as a lead role and honestly, I loved it! I loved the depth to the book and the fact that within the story plot line, the real struggles experienced by a FMT were so well presented and woven in seamlessly. The realness to the characters also captured me with their flaws and all and their fight for a romance and love that was theirs, the angst and build up to the books climax was well planned and I loved how the book doesn't focus predominantly on sex but adds it as another dimension to the books many themes. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book and was not required to leave a review.

This is an unusual yet compelling transgender wolf shifter romance to read.
It is about: a transgender alpha (Henry) who becomes a lone wolf and goes on the run to escape the deadly intent from his previous pack. He is rescued by an alpha (Louis) from another pack and attractions occur but trouble is on the way.
There is: twists & turns, intrigue, danger, enemies, secrets, cruelty, concerned interference, attractions, challenges, unexpected surprises, contentment, conflict, happiness, love and a few mild steamy scenes.
I found the story-line & plot quite unique, well-thought out and written with excellent medical details.

Hunted Alpha is a Gay Transgender Romance by Troy Hunter and Noah Harris. It is the second book in The Transgender Mates series. Both authors did great jobs at bringing these great characters to life and tell their intriguing story.

I have not seen many transgender pregnancy books, this is I believe only the second one I have personally read and I am glad I chose to. The story was a fantastic mix of drama, humor, and romance. It dealt with some discrimination and identity issues found in the transgender community but with a shifter twist to the story. Thw characters were likeable and I loved how they interacted together. I highly recommend this book.

A different type of Mpreg story. Ultimately it's a story of rejection and fighting to be accepted as oneself

A well written story, which is quite compelling. Both Henry and Louis have known hardship, are in fact enemies, but help one another to overcome a great deal of adversity and denial.

I enjoyed reading the way in which their trust grew in one another, and how acceptance eventually grew into love. It was a little wordy in parts. But overall a good if unusual read, with an edge. Recommended.

What happened

This was nothing like the first tone I t he series. I felt the writing was overlapping and off like the writers couldn't decide who should be in control of information given in a chapter or that they were trying to allued to information perviously given by the other but then misquoted it entirely. The story itself had great premise. I absolutely adored the first book and subject matter that is only reason I gave it two stars rather than the one star I thought it deserved.

I had never read a transgender book before and I wasn’t sure what I would be getting myself into. The book brought out deep emotions in the characters that I couldn’t help but feel for them. This is a story about self discovery, love and the willingness to take a chance on a stranger. Just because someone is different is no reason to shun them. Each of us has a reason to live a nurturing caring life no matter what we look like and feel inside. This story will suck you in and cheer for the underdog.

Chased from his pack, Henry is found near death by Louis the Alpha of another pack. But Henry is hiding a secret from everyone. Will Louis & his pack accept him if he tells or will he be sent out on his own to perish again? I loved the way Troy brought these 2 together and shown that no secret can be that bad. This story story sucked me in and I found myself saying "one more chapter" until I reached the end. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Louis and Henry are rival Alphas, and Henry is the last person he expects to find near death in his territory. Henry is hiding several secrets that may cost him everything. A touching story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
