I don't know about you, but I'm always looking for a fun and exciting adventure to go on. Opening the pages of The Tomb by David Wood and Rick Chesler I found just that. I also love treasure hunts. Dane Maddock and Uriah "Bones" Bonebrake set out to discover the tomb of Alaric 1 and his treasure. As you would expect on any good treasure hunt, there has to be an evil adversary and his henchmen to contend with. Wood and Chesler has written an exciting adventure woven with humor and twists and turns that will keep you turning pages. For adventure lovers like myself, I recommend picking up a copy and go on a treasure hunt with Maddock and Bones. A great beach read. Five adventuresome stars.
Dane, Bones and their crew... all of which are ex-seals... are diving for treasure off the coast of Italy. They bring up a golden scarab. Taking it into town, they end up at a museum run by Lina. There is a legend of the Tomb of Aslaric I, leader of the Visigoths, being in the region. They are warned by the local police to stop looking. Lina and the crew continue in secret.
Things get very complicated when an old enemy, they thought they had eliminated turned up. Why can't those who are suppose to be dead just remain dead.
This is a Novella in the Kindle Worlds library. I really enjoy the Maddock & Bones stories and this one is exception based in Italy our two treasure hunters end up searching for the lost tomb of Alaric ruler of the Goths. This leads them in to conflict with the local police and being betrayed by someone in the midst and finally coming face to face with their nemesis. A good fast paced read looking forward to more and only wish that the Kindle Worlds was available in the UK and not just in America.
I did read the paperback issue but Goodreads has no photo of it so I used the kindle version. Another very satisfying read! This was more a novella with less than 200 pages but the fast paced adventures continue! This time looking for the tomb of Alaric I and his treasure. And meeting old foes. Some proofreading errors but I just love Maddock and Bones too much to care! Onwards to the next adventure.
A Maddock and Bones adventure. Searching for buried treasure in Italy. Entertaining but not unforgettable. Longer than a short story but definitely shorter than most books. I would have liked it to be longer. I read the ebook. Copyright 2018.
Maddock and Bones are on the hunt for the resting place of Alaric and his treasure. Obstructed by local authorities and the Dominion, they must act fast to get the prize. Good story, but rather an abrupt rushed ending.
Another light adventure in the Dane and Bones world. These novellas in Dane's universe are fun, quirky and less serious than the full length adventures but still enjoyable to read.
This Dane Maddock novella is part of Kindle World, and it is a great addition. Dane and Bones find treasure while diving off the coast of Italy. This discovery puts them in conflict with the local police and leads them to an old nemesis. The collaboration with Rick Chesler makes for a great read, offering the combination of non-stop action and the always fun duo of Dane and Bones. I greatly enjoyed this tale!
This is the first book in the Dane Maddock kindle word books. The collaboration between David and Rick is seamless. The plot was fast paced with plenty of action and good old Dane and Bones humor. It all starts with a shipwreck off the coast of Italy and a mystery that could lead to the deaths of millions. Dane, Bones and the gang of usual suspects race to find a long lost present while faceing an enemy they thought they were done with.
5.0 out of 5 starsGreat adventure By Miss Lyn on February 8, 2017 Format: Kindle Edition Thriller author Rick Chesler joins the team to bring us a great new Dane and Bones adventure full of a mysterious tomb, treasure, and non-stop action. I really enjoyed this book. I .received this book for an honest review.
In this book we join Maddock and his team whilemthey search for the tomb of Alaric I. It is a little bit weird that I like these books as much as I do, but I think they are a kind of guilty pleasure. Also, they are potato chips books, as in you always want one more. The characters of Maddock and Bones are very, very stereotypical ex navy seals, and somewhat one dimensional. Each book is based on a historical myth, and they are sometimes a little bit repetitive. But the action and adventure is great and very fast paced, and the books are enjoyable.
