Down For Mine: An Urban Love Story
It’s not easy being in a large family, but when you have sisters that are down for each other, it makes it all worthwhile. The Jackson sisters—Shirley, Thelma, Candy, and Amber—are a tight-knit group, but their different personalities tend to clash like most siblings. They are in varying situations in their lives, but all seem to be in the same boat when it comes to reaching their full potential, professionally and in love.
Shirley and Thelma are both married, but their marriages are far from perfect. Shirley has a loving husband and four beautiful kids, but she’s starting to have reason to believe that her husband is having an affair. Where her sister Thelma was actually having an affair and got caught by her husband. Now she’s dealing with the fall in a messy divorce, and there’s no way Thelma’s letting her rich husband off easy.
Candy and Amber are the youngest of the crew, and neither of them are where they should be in life. Candy is being faithful to her no-good boyfriend that’s incarcerated, while her little sister Amber keeps allowing her baby daddy to have a revolving door in her life. Will any of them be able to find true happiness in their lives, or will the arguing and bickering amongst them drive a huge wedge between them that will tear their family apart?

I really liked this storyline.... I enjoyed reading about the lives of each sister... I loved the fact that I was given all the information needed to really get a good understanding of each character and what they are about...
Now this Thelma is a whole hot mess.. This girl right here is just to much... I cant believe the way that she carries herself and how she just flaunts it all in her husbands face... Then she gonna have the nerve to get in her feelings when he gave her a little taste of her own medicine... Then for her to give him false hope... In reality all she needed to do was let him know what she wants and how she wants it and I am sure he would do all that and more to make her happy... That is all he ever really wanted... Even after all that she has done... He still loves her and wants to be with her and make her happy...
Now see Amber needs to know her worth... She is just accepting any and everything from her baby daddy... And he only come around when he knows it will benefit him... He is barely helping out financially as it is so why does she even need him... She needs to just move on... And not to Jimi... Leave him for Candy...
Now Candy also needs to realize what she is worth and move on... Tommy is in jail and still blatantly cheating on Candy... But he is still running the show and calling all the shots in her house... Well it is his house that she is living in but while he is locked down she is paying all the bills... Now I think she needs to give Jimi a chance... I think they would be great together... She just needs to really open up her eyes and see this for herself...
I feel sorry for Shirley... She is dealing with the possibility of her husband cheating... Let's just say that all the dots are definitely connecting... With this information that she has... Will this prove her right or wrong...
Now there is so much going on in here at one time... I could not put this book down... I hate to see what is happening with these sisters... They all have so much on their plate that they ate taking it out on eachother... When this is the time that they really need to be there for eachother... They are better than this....
Now I have to wait for part 2 to see what happens next...

All four sisters experienced one situation after the next with the men they were involved with. Thelma was just too loose and didn't realize the mistakes she made until it was too late. There were different options she could've chosen when it came to her husband's issue instead of going too far. I applauded Rufus for still loving his wife but he took to much of her bs when he should've put her in her place a long time ago. Shirley went digging and there's no telling what information she'll find out about Larry. Things weren't adding up in their situation but I believe her actions played a role in what's happening in the marriage as well. Amber and Candy's fight was immature and they both needed to realize how wrong they were. Candy should've voiced her feelings beforehand and Amber shouldn't have been so thirsty. Hopefully Jesse is ready to be the man Amber needs and she'll finally put her foot down and make it known what she'll no longer accept. She also needs to focus on taking her own advice sometimes. Candy was being dumb for a dude that constantly proved he would never change. Tommy didn't deserve her and I hope she begins to focus on her happiness and the well-being of Brooklyn. Jimi seeks like a good dude and I'm hoping he gets the opportunity to really express to Candy how he truly feels.

Sisterly Love/Hate
As with all siblings, these sisters have a love/hate relationship. They all have their own lives and problems. Each one thinks that she is always right and everyone else is wrong. They all are a hot mess in my opinion. I can't decide on which one i love/hate the most. I love how the author gave insight into each one of their lives so that I could form my own opinion. I can't wait to see how things turn out. #SBP

Great Read
Enjoyed it from beginning to end. The sister's love-hate relationship something else. They don't like to hear the truth, but as long as it not them it's okay. Loved the storyline and plot and detailed. It's realistic and believable and I enjoyed every page. Can't wait for PT2. Job well done Vivian Blue.

Sisters who stick together!!
I enjoyed the storyline about all four sisters. Each sister experience different dramas, wether with each other or with another woman or their man. Each sister has a love/hate for each other lol...has most sisters do!! Vivian always does her thing when writing and she never disappoints!!

wow
these sisters relationship is more like a homegirl. they don't have no loyalty towards one anothet. Amber was like the shadiest one, she'll push all her sisters under the bus if you ask me. Thelma child you so lost and you do have a problem. it's like they all was raised wrong and ok dealing with BS. SBP

Wow. The sisters love and hate each other. It reminded me of my family, 4 girls and 4 boys. They dont like to hear the truth and everyone is wrong but them. It a lot of cleaning up the sister got to do in there relationships. Waiting on Part2. Good Read.

GREAR BOOK!!!
Vivian you have done it again. I always get what I expect from you...greatness. I absolutely loved this book it was so good. It’s definitely a must read. I like 3 out of the 4 sisters. I so love the girls parents..they are hilarious. I can’t wait to read part 2...

The love the chemisty the Jackson sister’s have. They have their problem but they stay united. Thelma is crazy for give up Rufus. Shirley is going to find what she is looking for. Am er needs to let go and Candy needs Jimi in her life. Can not wait for boom 2
