What he doesn't want is anything more complicated than that, and he knows Grace is a woman who deserves better. Grace, however, knows exactly what she wants - the kind of ecstasy only Noah can give her. Brazenly, she accepts, and Noah promises to make all her secret fantasies come true...

This was a book my sister shoved at me and told me to read. Boy am I glad she did. This was a really awesome book. Grace is not just a little plump. She's a big girl, and once Noah actually starts looking at her, he likes everything he sees. The love scenes were very hot, the hottest I think I had read at that time. I don't tend to find too many of the very erotic type romances as romantic, but this one was. More on the modern romance side, where it's not so much "We're married" at the end of the book, but "I think I want to marry you. Here's a ring." Although there is a good epilogue that put me at ease.

Noah was quite the forceful, demanding-type lover, but Grace seemed to enjoy that aspect of him. She was a virgin, but was definitely going to educate her in the joys of making love. It was funny that he really let himself go after he had gotten betrayed and closed the door of his life on his ex-fiance. At first I was worried that he was just using Grace as a solace from his heart, but it was very clear how fast he came to fall in love with her. Grace had loved him so long, that she really had no resistance to him. It was fortunate that at heart, Noah was a good guy and wouldn't take her heart and step on it.

This book is a good reminder to the larger women out there that there is a man for you, who will find you as irresistible as an hot fudge sundae. Just don't give up on him.

Some good ol’ cheese does the soul wonders.

—————————-

So my friend who used to read (I know you’re probably shaking your head, giving me dirties and wondering why I’m still friends with someone who used to be an ex-reader. She’s not all that bad, I promise!) recommended this book to me. It’s the book she remembered the most from her reading days and it was the first book that introduced her to reading in general.
So I said I would give it a go.

Every once in a while you come across a little gem that just puts a smile on your face, and has you engaged from page one.
That is exactly what this book did for me!

This was a short, sweet read and I absolutely loved every minute of it!

I LOVED the characters! Noah and Grace were amazing together, and boy did I ever wish I could be in Gracie's place (especially in the bedroom)!

The evolution of Grace and Noah's relationship was wonderful to read!

I really enjoyed the writing in this book particularly the humor and bantering between Ben and Aggie, and Ben & Noah's relationship.

Throughout the story I was kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop on Grace because it seemed that Noah was too good to be true, but he was the amazing man that Grace believed him to be and didn't hesitate to claim and stand up for Grace when she needed him the most.

I CANNOT WAIT to read Ben's story because I think when he meets his match he won't know what hit him :)

- “Grace, I’m not a refined man.”
Her lips curled, her eyes got heavy. “You are the best of men.”
“No, damn it!” Her faith humbled him, but he had to make her understand. “I was raised more on the streets than not. I’m hard, inside and out.”

- His hands curled into fists; the little witch was seducing him and he had to make her understand. “I like to work hard, play hard, and I like to fuck hard.”

- “I want sex. Hot, wet, grinding sex. I want a woman who’s willing to give me her body in any way I want it. But until I get everything else squared away, that’s all I want. No commitments. And God only knows how long that’ll take.”

- Noah gently shook her. “I told you I don’t play nice with sex, Grace!”
Her breath came in small pants as she purred, “We can play however you want.”

- “Grace, I’ll want to hear you yell and moan and see you squirm and feel you with my hands and my mouth and my tongue, all of you, inside and out. And then I want you to beg for more, until we’re both too damned tired to move or even breathe. I want—”
She launched herself against him and kissed his chin, his neck, his chest. “Noah!”

Sweet, charming, steamy, quick read. Noah is your typical alpha male, 6’4” of yummy deliciousness. Grace is delightful, funny, driven and unfortunately has some image issues. She sees herself as plump and undesirable. Noah sees nothing but a warm, curvaceous, real woman that is his every fantasy come true. He wants her, she’s willing and they can’t get enough of each other. *Stamps foot* I want Noah for myself!! He never wavers from his want or need for her, tells her as much as he shows her, and I just loved that. The reader can feel the love and lust that they have for each other, because it pops right off the pages.
I wish that the author had given us more background on Noah’s past. It was touched on briefly throughout the book, but never fully explained. I waited for it to come and it never did. It would have added such depth to the book, and for that I was disappointed. Not only were Noah and Grace strong characters, but so was Ben, Noah’s half brother. Yet, Agatha, the grandmother and family matriarch, was so manipulating, disgustingly bossy, and they allowed her to push them around. They did stand up to her and did distance themselves from her for a while, and then let her have the last word…again. I wouldn’t have even given here the time of day; I don’t care who she was related too or how much money she had.
Still a fun and enjoyable read. A Lori Foster book is always a good time.

5 Fun and Sensual Stars!!!

This is a Lori Foster favorite and when I seen it was finally released in audio I had to have it!!!

24 year old Gracie is a refreshing, sweet, honest, good hearted, loyal, and loving character and she made me love this book even more than I think I may have. Grace is a personal secretary/PA to Agatha Harper who is Noah’s Grandmother and she has always been in love with Noah.

32 yr old Noah Harper is all alpha, and does what he can to keep his Grandmother happy, including his plans on marring Kara who is like a granddaughter to Agatha. When Noah catches Kira in the act with another man he calls off the engagement and wedding leaving up to Kara to make the announcement to her parents and his grandmother. Noah does not want to make Kara look bad by revealing her affair so he takes the blunt of everyone's anger and accusations much to Gracie’s dismay, she has always been Noah’s champion, to her Noah can do no wrong.

 photo PicsArt_1457852937616_zpshgjgywda.jpg

Noah is very set in his ways, and when Gracie put’s herself in his path, it knocked him through a loop. Gracie has body issues, she’s is a bit overweight and insecure, she doesn't realize her appeal, or even that she has any. When he offers a no strings attached sexual relationship, she jumps at the chance to have any part of him…she even agrees to his rules!

“I want sex. Hot, wet, grinding sex. I want a woman who’s willing to give me her body, in any way I want it. But until I get everything else squared away, that’s all I want. No commitments. And God only knows how long that’ll take”.

I loved their relationship and their sexual chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS!! Agatha irritated me, but as the story progresses you see a different, more vulnerable woman. I also loved Ben, Noah’s half-brother (Never Too Much). I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I loved everything about it!

* Narrated by the very talented Jim Frangione.

I really thought I was going to thoroughly enjoy Too Much Temptation, but in the end it just didn't grab my attention and engage my emotions the way I had hoped. In my opinion, the story was pretty light on the plot and the characters were underdeveloped and inconsistent. All of the characters seemed to have thoughts, feelings and actions that were as changeable as the weather, making it very difficult for me to fully grasp anyone's motives. There were quite a few scenes that were written from the point-of-view of secondary characters which I could have done without, in favor of better development of the hero and heroine. This was a pretty light story that I think was supposed to be humorous at times, but even though I consider myself to have a good sense of humor, I rarely found anything to be truly funny. I also thought that some of the author's word choices could have been better, as I was often jolted out of the story by words and phrases that just didn't seem to fit. This is really more of a personal thing, but overall I simply didn't feel that the narrative had the polished flow of many others I have read.

Grace and Noah were nice people, and although I didn't have any real problems with them, I couldn't honestly say that they stood out to me either. I do commend the author for writing a heroine who is fuller-figured and a hero who loves her unconditionally. I also thought that Grace's loyalty and protectiveness of Noah was very sweet and charming. I liked that Noah had an angst-ridden background, but it just never seemed to go anywhere and didn't have nearly the emotional bite as many other stories with the same theme. I really felt like the author was just rattling off a list of facts about his past, but gave me few clues about his feelings. Most of the time I found Noah's grandmother to be thoroughly manipulative and his ex-fiancee to be weak and whiny, and both of them seemed fairly shallow. I don't think I was supposed to dislike them all the time, but I couldn't seem to muster much liking for them even when they were being a little more decent. The only supporting player I really liked was Noah's brother, Ben. He was a nice, down-to-earth guy, who made me feel like cheering when he put his grandmother in her place. I'm happy to say that he gets to be the hero of the next book in the series.

Overall, Too Much Temptation didn't completely wow me, but one thing I can say is that the love scenes were fairly frequent, hot and creative, pushing the envelope a bit without crossing into the erotic. For readers who enjoy lots of steam, but don't mind a story that is a little light on plot, this would definitely be a worthwhile read. This was my first book by Lori Foster, and even though I thought it could have been better, I will likely read the rest of the series at some point and keep an open mind about reading her other works in the future.

Too Much Temptation
4 Stars

After discovering his fiancée in flagrante delicto, Noah Harper calls off the wedding much to his powerful grandmother's chagrin. In contrast, Grace Jenkins, his grandmother's shy and sweet personal assistant, is much more understanding and offers Noah her unconditional support. Noah, however, has other plans for Grace - ones that involve keeping her busy in his bed for as long as possible.

A surprisingly charming and enjoyable read.

Grace is a very sweet and innocent heroine, but still manages to stand her ground in the face of Noah's "alpha maleness" . While she does exhibit a certain preoccupation with her full figure and weight, this never becomes the focus of the conflict, and one of Noah's most endearing qualities is his love of her curves.

Noah is seriously sexy, but it is his tenderness and protectiveness toward Grace that makes him an especially appealing hero.

The story is the weakest element as there is no actual plot to speak of other than Noah and Grace's admittedly excellent sex scenes. Noah's fractious relationship with his crotchety grandmother is resolved far too easily, and the hints at an underlying animosity with his former fiancée's lover remains underdeveloped. Moreover, said fiancée is let off the hook far too easily for her deceitfulness.

In sum, this is a wonderfully sweet and low angst romance perfect for a lazy afternoon read.

I can understand why some people love this book - it was probably one of the first romances with a plus size heroine - but the romance didn't do it for me. I thought it was too rushed on his part. The author didn't establish that he had been attracted to Grace before, so when he comes on to her while drunk, I got the feeling he just needed a warm body in bed instead of really liking her.

A lot of his background didn't make much sense: why did he let his grandma pick his bride, one he wasn't even particularly attracted to? He didn't seem the sort of man to settle for that.

Even Grace's character didn't match with how she was described. She was supposedly shy but then she goes to work in a bar and becomes the life of the party. Yes, she was very self conscious about her weight -like REALLY self conscious - and Noah's attentions really helped with her confidence but people don't go from shy to outgoing no matter how confident they are with their looks.

That said, I liked that there were no weight loss or makeovers. Grace's size wasn't even mentioned so you have no clue if she's size 16 or 26. But then I realized it didn't matter because women can feel fat no matter their size.

Jim Frangione wasn't terrible as the narrator but I don't know that I liked his male voices that much to look out for him in other audios.

He wanted everything that concerned Grace to be his business. He wanted to know that she was safe and happy and that she was…his.

This was such a cute story. Take one very sexy Alpha hero and add a very cute, lovable, and kind heroine and you got a one very enjoyable story. Before you ask, or assume, yes, this is very predictable, but who cares, right? Sometimes you just want to read something for the fun and enjoyment of it without having to worry about what’s about to happen. This is definitely one of those books. No angst. No love triangle. No cheating. This was just a simply delightful read. Plus it didn’t hurt that the steam factor was off the hook either ;)

Noah raised his head and gave her a tender look. She was flushed, damp with perspiration, open and yielding and hot. Sweet, amazing Grace.

Grace is just lovable. She’s no skinny-minnie, nor is she drop dead gorgeous, but she’s no ugly duckling either; she would be classified as cute. However, Grace is kind, sweet, and adorable. Her biggest attribute, at least to me, is that she’s downright loyal. When things start to head south for Noah, her long time crush and her employer’s grandson, she’s immediately at his side, defending him.

Noah must be a cheater. That’s the only reason why he would break off his engagement, right? Hell no. It was his fiancé’s that was caught cheating. However, he offered to keep her indiscretion a secret to maintain her pristine reputation. But keeping this reason a secret has negative backlash. Aside from his brother, Ben, no one believes he’s innocent, that is until Grace shows up at his door.

“I want sex. Hot, wet, grinding sex. I want a woman who’s willing to give me her body, in any way I want it. But until I get everything else squared away, that’s all I want. No commitments. And God only knows how long that’ll take.” ~ Noah Harper

So Noah makes Grace a deal, but the more time they spend together, the closer they become. The lines are getting blurry and both Noah and Grace are trying to keep their feelings in check, but to no avail. Of course the ending was inevitable, but it was just fine with me. Noah and Grace made such an adorable couple. Noah’s protectiveness and possessiveness over Grace was sweet and incredibly hot at the same time. I really enjoyed this story and looking forward to Ben’s story in the near future.

"Three men came in. They wore ragged jeans, tight T-shirts, and work boots. And they sat at one of Grace's tables.

Noah was up and off his bar stool in a heartbeat. Ben silently wondered if he should be paying Noah a bouncer's salary, considering how much time he spent making certain Grace's work environment stayed pleasant. Noah didn't say anything to the men, but he did stop Grace, tip up her chin, and give her a lingering kiss right in the middle of the floor. Grace got so flustered, she nearly dropped her tray.

Noah released her, gave the men a long look, and positioned himself at an empty table—facing them.

Ben had to turn away so no one would see him laughing. If he ever got that smitten with a woman, he hoped someone would shoot him to put him out of his misery."

4 star contemporary romance

I read this book a long time back and whilst browsing through a discussion forum on Amazon, I once again came across this title and had the itch to read it all over again. Lori Foster is an author who writes great stories with lots of humor injected into the romance which makes reading the book a more memorable one. And yes, the sensuality level of her novels are off the charts as well!

Noah is one of the bastard grand sons of Agatha, a woman who is as rich as she is aristocratic. Whilst Noah's father had made no claims on any of his sons, Agatha searches Noah out when her son dies leaving her bereft and without a family to leave everything she has. Although Agatha puts her pride before everything else, she teaches Noah everything about doing business she knows. Noah has his life all mapped out and goes along with his grandmother’s plans of marrying Kara, his fiance of more than a year, whom he finds in bed with another man going at each other like crazy. Noah calls off the wedding but in consideration to Kara’s feelings and fears that her parents wouldn’t accept the person with whom she has fallen in love with, Noah takes the brunt of all accusations and criticism on putting a stop to a wedding that would have rocked the city.

Grace Jenkins, secretary of Noah’s grandmother for the past three years, who has loved Noah ever since she set her eyes on him, is outraged when she hears that all the blame has been placed at Noah’s feet. Knowing Noah, Grace knows that he wouldn’t have called off the wedding unless he had a very compelling reason to do so. Such trust and faith from someone whom Noah never even expected, Noah finds himself lured towards the gentle and loving nature behind the no nonsense facade Grace puts up. Its inevitable that Noah and Grace end up in bed with one another when Grace has been yearning for Noah ever since she met him.

With Agatha meddling all the way to get Noah and Kara back together, thinking she knows whats in the best interest of her grandson, and Grace fighting for Noah’s honor every step of the way, this story makes a highly entertaining read, one thats quite easy to read in one sitting. Recommended for those who love a feisty heroine who is not of the perfect dolled out variety usually found in romance novels, and a scorching hot hero who is guaranteed to make your toes curl.

5 AMAZING STARS

For the past few days I read few books but closed them becouse my mood wasnt into it... (you know that mood when every book you read missing something but you dont know what?) SO I read the synopsis and thaought this is abit like Perfection by R. L. Mathewson (which is my FAVORITE Contemporary Romance book)

I started reading this book with no hope of like in it... but boy wasnt I wrong. I couldnt put it down, didnt even sleep till i finished it. The book was a bit like Perfection but not 100% it had only the plus size girl which is strong, loyal, witty girl with big heart but less self esteem and I loved Grace she's officially one of my favorite heroine of all time.

Noah... Noah was a bit different from the typical hero's for me, I didnt read a character like him.. yet and I enjoyed his thoughts and personality, I loved him. He and Grace were perfect for each other, with great chemistry.

The book writing is amazing and captive and just what I needed. The stroy was amazing with humor and wit and HOT love scenes. SO do I think you should try and read this book? Hell yeah. This is one of this book you reread over and over again and still enjoy every sec of it.

This was a nice story. It had interesting characters even though the plot was not overly complex. Indeed, it was very basic.

I enjoyed the dynamic between Noah and Grace. He was attracted to her regardless of what she felt about her physical appearance.

Secondary characters:
Kara - an unnecessarily dramatic emotional wreck
Agatha - takes no prisoners battle ax and shrewd negotiator
Ben - devil may care attitude but always concerned about his brother

Foster did a nice job with this book and it was interesting enough that I want to read the second book in the series to see what happens with Ben.

3.5 stars.

The premise of this book excited me at first with the beginning and most of the middle proving to be kind of fab. But in the end I felt a little bit let down.

Being voluptuous myself, I found myself cheering for the curvy heroine but even I got sick and tired of the author bringing her body shape up in almost every paragraph. It did my head in.

I was set to give this a 4 star rating but the flat delivery along with the cliched ending and constant projections of body issue hang-ups made me reconsider. Fine for a lighter read, though.

Good book, with some great humor, emotion tugging, and a good bit of heat. Noah is the grandson of Agatha Harper, a local society dame, restaurant owner, and bit of a snob. Noah was a street rat before she found him at the age of sixteen, the illegitimate son of her son. While she has accepted him, she doesn't seem to have that high of an opinion of him. He feels like he owes her, and has been engaged to the daughter of her good friends for the past two years. That all changes when he finds her in bed with someone else. Naturally, he breaks off the engagement, but being a good guy at heart, he doesn't tell anyone why. Agatha is furious, disowns him, and tries to figure out how to fix the problem. Noah isn't about to change his mind and stands up to Agatha, only confessing the truth to his half brother Ben during an evening of drinking.

Grace is Agatha's personal secretary, who has kept Agatha's life on track for the last three years. She's pretty enough, very curvy (she calls it fat), sweet, innocent, and has had a crush on Noah since the beginning. When she finds out what has happened, she is worried about Noah and goes to see him. Caught in a rainstorm, she arrives soaking wet, but determined to make sure he's okay.

I loved her arrival and her combination of worry and amusement. Noah is surprised by her immediate declaration of support, since everyone has made it plain it must be his fault. Suddenly he's looking at her with different eyes and seeing a woman who looks like a "goddess". He's somewhat the worse for drink, which lowers his self control, and he gives in to the urge to kiss her. His desire shoots up, but he knows he's in no shape to do anything about it, but convinces her to stay with him anyway. A slightly awkward next morning gets worse when she arrives late to work and gets fired by Agatha for being with Noah. It's a scene that is both funny and emotional, as Grace tries to protect Noah from his grandmother's anger.

Because Grace has had the hots for Noah for years, when he makes it plain he wants her, she's all for it. She doesn't have any experience, but she's happy to learn whatever he wants to share. Noah feels a bit guilty because he has no intention of any more relationships for a while, and he sees Grace as the settling down type. But she insists she fine with it, and off they go.

I absolutely loved the protectiveness they had for each other. Grace was quite familiar with Noah's reputation and had no illusions about him. But she also saw beneath the "street rat" persona he wore for public consumption. She thought that he was a lot more sensitive than anyone, including himself, gave him credit for. I loved the looks she got when she would put herself between him and whoever was mad at him. Though Noah started out looking at Grace as just a bed partner, he quickly became very protective of her. I loved the way that he worked so hard to show her what a sexy woman she really was. It was also really funny to see him watching over her when she went to work at Ben's bar.

The development of their relationship was pretty sweet. Besides their compatibility in the bedroom, they actually had a lot more in common which helped draw them closer. As the days went on and they were together so much, Noah began to realize that he wanted more than just the fling he had first insisted on. This freaked him out a little bit because it was so unexpected. Grace, while she dreamed of him falling in love with her, believed that she wasn't anything like the kind of woman he would really want. There were no big misunderstandings to drive them apart, but it took a crisis with Agatha to bring them fully together in a really fun hospital bedside scene.

The supporting characters were really wonderful too. The ex-fiancee, Kara, really wasn't the bad guy that she could have been. She was a bit spoiled and selfish, and could be really silly, but at heart she was a good person. I enjoyed seeing the progress of her relationship with the "other man". Noah's brother Ben was terrific. Though they are half brothers and hadn't known each other until they were teens, they are always there to support each other. The scenes that they had together were always fun, but I especially liked the morning after scene at the beginning of the book. Ben also has a much more contentious relationship with Agatha, whose attitude toward him gives him ample reason for his behavior. I really enjoyed seeing how he stood up to her at the end of the book, and how their relationship changes. Agatha was a real piece of work. She snobby, snotty attitude toward Noah's breaking of the engagement made me really mad, and I loved seeing him stand up to her. Her fixation on how she thought he "needed" Kara to make him acceptable was horrible, and I loved seeing him thwart her. Seeing the changes in her at the end was terrific, and I can't wait to see more of her in Ben's book.

I can't decide if I really liked this or if I really really liked it!

Noah is a dominating alpha male but has seemingly been keeping this well hidden. Since he has split from his uptight fiance, he has decided that he has had enough of behaving as other people think he should. He was all set to marry someone he didn't even love because of it and is glad to have had his eyes opened before it was too late.

Grace is a good girl and always has been. She is incredibly caring and hard working, and is completely unafraid to speak her mind when necessary. She fell in love with Noah from the very moment she met him. When Noah comes under attack from friends of the family and relatives after his relationship split, Grace will not put up with people bad mouthing him because she knows that Noah would have a good reason for such a split.

Noah has always liked Grace because she warm, gentle and genuine, but now that he's single he's starting to wonder why he hadn't really noticed her before in that way. He's determined to have Grace HIS way and there will be nothing polite about it! And Grace is more than willing to give him whatever he wants, however he want's it. Poor foolish Noah, he thinks he can have Grace and get her out of his system then just move on...but quite simply, the more he gets - the more he wants.

I loved these two together. Grace is absolutely fearless and I loved that about her. She stands up for herself and other people, and she certainly gives as good as she gets in the bedroom despite her lack of experience. Noah is a little less straight forward for me because I can't possibly imagine how he got together with Kara in the first place. But I loved how hot he got for Grace - he just could not keep his paws off her!

The love scenes are reasonably hot. Not enough to set my hair on fire but still steamy enough to be pleasing.

Noah's brother Ben is a great Character and he had great chemistry with both Grace and his brother - I'm looking forward to reading his story next.

I actually read the second book of this series first about the half brother and came back to this. The hero had a tough childhood growing up in foster homes and on the streets however his grandmother found him when he was 17. He has spent his years pleasing her and even getting engaged to a woman of her choosing. However, when he finds his fiancee in bed with someone he doesn't really care, because though he liked her, he never loved her and he calls it off. He is nice enough to not tell people why but the fiancee's parents and even his grandmother treat him badly for it. After that he has had enough! Grace, the heroine is his grandmother's assistant and comes bedraggled by rain and furious to his doorstep, but to his surprise she is defending him and promising to set his prideful society-minded grandmother right.

You see inexperienced Grace has loved the hero for the past three years and sees the best in him. We are told Grace is over-weight and years of taunts from her own parents and even his grandmother hasn't left her with the best body-image. She doesn't see herself like a goddess as the hero does, and when he is drunk he makes his attraction known (nothing happens though don't worry). However, the next morning Grace is more than happy to be just sex-friends with the hero.

I will admit I really disliked the grandmother here, she just had no boundaries and filter and was so manipulative. I did like the story even if the sex was way too much. For a supposed sex-only relationship it was so obvious Noah was feeling more based on his behaviour towards her. The poor guy feels so insecure when she rejects his proposal. I liked it.

I'm not sure why this book has so many positive reviews. On the plus side there were some funny moments mostly with Ben, the main character's brother, but that's about it.

Noah was ok, but Grace was annoying. The main focus of the book seemed to be her weight. It was mentioned over and over and over. She's heavy, I get it, you don't need to beat me over the head with it. It was hard to find her appealing since all you really hear about her is that she is heavy, and she's usually not described in a complimentary way even when Noah describes her. For example, in one scene he thinks of her as a "chunky necklace hanging around his neck." I'm not saying her weight is a problem for me in fact I like it when characters are more realistic, it's just that the author feels the need to mention it at least once every page.

Did I mention she's overweight?

I didn't like how they continued to stay so focused on Grace's weight. If he was so ok with it, the wording chosen seemed less than positive at times. Fleshy, plump, etc got a little redundant and distracting. I enjoyed the fact he fell for a 'real' woman but it didn't have to be so focused on it, if it wasn't a deal for him. I can see Grace focusing on it, but for him to see it and acknowledge it over and over again seemed to take away from the romance of it. I liked Ben's character a lot and will read his story eventually. I love most of Lori Foster's books, and hold her up to a high standard and this wasn't my favorite.

Cute. Grace and Noah are a great pair, but Ben really steals the show. I loved him the best. Yes, the content was steamy, but it was not overdone so that Grace and Noah did not have enough time to build a relationship. Grace started off pretty nice, but she did not make a lasting impression on me. Noah was the perfect man and was the right bit the jealous lover. Kara was kinda dumb and consistently pissed me off, despite the fact that she was a "good person".

Worth a read, though not memorable (except for Ben who was plain wonderful)

In a semi-successful attempt to push me into contemprary romance, my sister sent me this book. Her last choice had been an absolute disaster, but this one was better. Only a smidge, but better still.

3/5 stars I suppose for this book. Simple because I only rolled my eyes only a few times. I think I've come to realize that so many of the tropes in modern romance just seem so weird and out of place, whereas the same in HR are totally believable. Perhaps we're still holding onto a lost concept of a couple - the female with self doubts and insecurities, and the tall, impossibly handsome man who is very much out of her league but completely falls flat on his face in love with her. It's a romantic notion for sure, part of the reason I read these books - but it just doesn't seem believable in modern romances.

Like for example, our heroine grace is 25 years old, and has never not even once had anything resembling a sexual experience. Not even a kiss. But then again, I don't know perhaps that is plausible. What I don't get is how she has 0 knowledge about anything involving intercourse. I mean it's the 21st century. Heard of google?

Overall, it wasn't a bad read. Just perhaps not for me - but I did enjoy certain parts of it. My biggest complaint is the fact that everything is too easy . Everything is too cheezy too, while we're at it. But I'll ignore it. Grace and what's his face encounter a sum total of 0 problems in the start of their unexpected relationship - not even problems created by their own base characters. That strikes me as too good to be true.

Maybe I'm insane sigh.

PROS

Glorious Lovemaking!
The sex scenes were perf! nuff said.

Gripping Writing Style listen, the plot line was definitely of the light sort but the story flowed. It was gripping. It was effortless and it was anything but boring!

Noah
Noah was strong, determined, mature, protective, handsome, loving and definitely a sex god who worshipped Gracie's body effectively making her open her eyes to her own beauty. I want me a Noah. *sigh*

Ben and Agatha Beautiful, heart-warming, Grandmother-and-grandson relationship that just puts a smile on your face.

CONS

Grace I did not like Grace one bit. She was somehow passive in spite of the constant assurances of the author that she's strong and independent. Her reactions were not understandable. She'd still all of a sudden, wince, squirm, jerk... I did not understand her. The author did not show much from her point of view, in fact Grace was reduced to an object. You just watch as stuff happen to her and she stares, holds her breath, sighs,..etc.

Abuse of The Word Hell
Hell, he didn't even think that was possible because hell, he'd only wanted her body back then. But, hell, he'll be damned if he doesn't love her now. Hell, He needs her in his life. Hell, she'd die before she asked for his help.... Something along those lines. You get the gist.

Unrealistic Dialogue When it comes to the dialogue game, not many authors, especially not chick-lit ones, nail the job. The dialogue sounded sappy at times. You would not say these things in real life. And maybe even the character's thoughts were too chick-lit, too!

I loved this book! Gracie was such a refreshing unique character to me and she made the whole story come alive. Noah was so set in his ways, and so sure of the road ahead of him that when Gracie finally stepped up and put herself in his path, it knocked him through a loop. Gracie was an overweight and insecure woman and doesn't realize her appeal, or even that she has any. She has this amazing personality and to watch her come alive through the eyes of the characters was a beautiful thing to watch. I loved their relationship and I felt like I was a part of it and their sexual chemistry jumped off the page. I love how Lori Foster incorporates several smoking hot bedroom scenes into her stories, each unique and amazing. Great story, Agatha was at first irritated me, but as the story progressed I saw behind her walls and was somewhat touched. Ben was a great character, I read his book first which is the second book in the series. I know, I always get thrown off with series and start with the last. It's a bad habbit :) Ben's story, who is Noah's half brother, in Never too much, which is the next book, is just as entrancing and watching him settle down and fall in love was riveting. In this book he is all to happy playing the field. Overall, the characters were well written and I thourougly enjoyed this book
