RIPS thru naked flesh with jagged rotting teeth

This series Emergence ranks up there with other great ones by such heavy hitters as Nicholas Sandsbury Smith (Extinction Cycle), Sam Sisivath (Road to Babylon), and Dirk Patton (V Plague). Compulsively page turning, this is the sort of book you just cannot put down. You can really get into the story, and it drags you along like a monstrous creature dragging you out of your boarded-up house after a failed last stand. The gruesome and horrific experiments are a nice touch, the wriggling parasitic worms reminding me of Star Trek Wrath of Kahn. That scene where a wormy slimy thing crawls into someone's ear stuck with me for years. JT Sawyer has struck back into the mess of crappy post-apoc novels on Kindle Unlimited, with an intelligent and gripping work. The characters are authentic, and the dialogue is seemless and rings true without any false notes. The military tactics and survival doctrine are completely realistic, no doubt due to his being a survival instructor.
Check out this series, start in the beginning and devour it like a tasty meal. Which is what us humans are to the drones ;)

Fast-paced gem

I was looking to read something different from the other zompoc books. Got tired of the same story of zombies from a different perspective. I found this series and eagerly await more. This series has a good plot and different outlook on zompoc life after the apocalypse. It's very fast paced and quite a good read. The characters are believable and show an intelligence others lack. Ok it is a new kind of zompoc that takes many twists and turns that makes the reader think it's going to end up one way when twists occur that are unexpected bringing this book to life. I tried to slow down my pace of reading but found myself intrigued until the wee hours of the night/morning. Every book in the series is a novel of importance on its own. Start from book 1 and continue thru to this book and leave yourself extra days to read cause I dare you to find a place in the story where you can rest. It won't happen. Looking forward to the next book.

A workout for your heart!

Absolutely engrossing!! I’m bummed I’m reading at a time when Volume 6 is not yet out. Unfortunately I’ll have to wait a whole week & a half to continue! Lol
Speaking of worse. This Volume! It’s definitely “the worst” of them all! If I went into why it would be only lead to one spoiler warning after another.
If I had control of the author’s keyboard, instead of the heart pounding, action-packed, yanking you one way then the other roller coaster, and emotion bomb found here, it would be more hand holding and rainbows on the horizon for everyone. Well, obviously that’s why you’re currently reading Sawyer’s story and not my fantasy authored one - but still, my heart raced, stopped, broke, raged, and ached all the way through this book. Painfully awesome.

Impossible to Put Down.

Reisner and team continue to hunt Roland, discovering exactly what they are facing. Roland is desperate to make another just like him. The story, battles, plot, and excitement never stopped! Saddened to lose one of my favorites in the team, but this will make Reisner only more determined to end the super alphas. Can hardly wait for the next volume! One of my favorite series!

Even with the paras or alpha, I am really enjoying the book. Hate it when one of the good guys die, but it is so action packed but you do get to learn about, but there are still too much to find and figure out. Hope Ivins finds his family. On to book 6.
