Danielle Bourdon - Latvala Royals Series: Sacrifices – Book 10

The tenth (10) book in the series we find out that the King and Queen’s children have grown up with the strength, determination and stubbornness, which is the common family trait. The story begins with Sander and Chey’s (the King and Queen) first born and heir to the throne, Elias, has been in a frightful accident that has left him hanging onto life. When Elias wakes up, he has no memory and doesn’t recognize his family or any of his surroundings. The Doctors cannot guarantee that Elias will ever regain his memories.

With Elias’s disorientation and feeling of being sucked in by a gray darkness, the Kings enemies plans on taking advantage of this situation. When they demand that Sander and Elias both are turned over to them, it becomes obvious that it is an inside job and they do not know who they can trust. Besides his own family, Sander turns to the two people that he has always trusted with his life, Mathis, his brother, and Leander his life long friend and confidant. Find out if Elias regains his memories and if Sander is found alive after he is kidnapped.

I was happy to catch up on Mathis and Leander’s life at least a little. I would have liked to have caught up with the others of the Royal Elite, Ashan and Chayton too but not in this installment.

SPOILER:
It is a love story of family and friends, but, if you are looking for hot passion, you won’t find it here. I am not sure if this should be considered a Mystery because it doesn’t feel like a Romance story. My other question is when we find out that the Nurse at the hospital who was assisting with Elias’s recovery, went against the Kings order to keep Elia’s amnesia under wraps. The Nurse was married to a Royal Guard that was in on the plot to rid themselves of the entire Royal Family. I have to believe that in the real life, background checks may have found out her connections and the nefarious plot may have been avoided.

Man I have missed this series!!! It never fails that once I pick one of these books up it's darn near impossible for me to put it down. There are so many twists and turns that keep me in suspense. Just when I think I've figured it all out I'm proved wrong and thrown back into speculation mode. I LOVE IT!!

There is no shortage of excitement when Chey's & Sander's oldest son has an accident and his future is in jeopardy. This incident throws the family into turmoil and heartache. This particular book doesn't have a lot of romance. What it lacks in romance it definitely makes up for in drama and excitement.

There's just something about Bourdon's writing style that I can't get enough of. I think it's the shock and awe feelings I get throughout her books. It's a feeling that will keep me coming back for more and more of her books. I'm very firmly in the mindset of if she writes it, I need to read it!

At first I was a little sad that the book wasn't as long as I would've liked but let me tell you I was hooked from the beginning like all the rest! I don't want to give an spoilers but I can give a brief outline of the story. Elias ends up in an accident and loses his memories. His family does all they can to help jog back them so he remembers who he was. This book was very suspenseful and left you guessing who is attacking the family again. Definitely a must read book and can't wait for more books of this series!

One of the best series out there!

I love reading series books, I always want to know what happens next! I am a hardcore reader, and I have read seriesis of books that are many books longer than this one. However, the Latvala series continues to be one of my favorites and with every new book in this series, I find myself rereading the entire series over again! It's just that good! Why is it good? It's captivating and exciting, on top of that, the events that happen are all believable which makes the read that much better!

One of the best !

This was one of best in this great series. The story is very suspenseful right to the end. Leaving you to guess who launched the attack on the family.
It is always wonderful to read a story that encompasses all the members of this family and a few old enemies. Loved this series from the very first and am hoping there will be more to come.

Loved this one so much. Such an easy read but with great emotion and thrills along the way. I’ve come to love these characters so much and feel very invested in their well-being, so a couple of moments really got to me. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Latvala Royals Strike Back

The 10th book in the Latvala series was worth waiting for. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I almost finished it in one sitting. This series could be a TV series. I am a fan! Kudos Danielle!

Thrilling

Just as all the other novels, you cannot wait to turn the page and find out what happens to Sander and his familly. These caracters are just so well developped over the previous stories that they almost feel real. What a grest series.
