Traversing into another world, Zhang Xuan finds himself becoming an honorable teacher.
Along with his transcension, a mysterious library appears in his mind.
As long as it is something he has seen, regardless of whether it is a human or an object, a book on its weaknesses will be automatically compiled in the library.
Thus, he becomes formidable.

"Emperor Zhuoyang, why do you detest wearing your underwear so much? As an emperor, can't you pay a little more attention to your image?"
"Fairy Linglong, you can always look for me if you find yourself unable to sleep at night. I am skilled in lullabies!"
"And you, Demon Lord Qiankun! Can you cut down on the garlic? Are you trying to kill me with that stench?"

This is an incredible story about teachers and students, grooming and guiding the greatest experts in the world!

This started off really well , with a fun unpredictable plot and unconventional characters . For me it was intresting until I got to about chapter 1200 where it got weird . I know a lot of authors of this genre that can't pull off a romance , and i honestly can't understand why they would want to practically ruin what i thought to be an amazing series just to set up a - very weird / illogocal /unlikely / rushed - romance . I dnf ed it at 1600 but overall , what i read was worh the time , fun , and entertaining . So i would recommend reading it ( even with the shady romance lol )
Also , kudos to the translating and editing team for their time and effort in producing a mostly gramatically accurate book

Most xianxia novels are really bad, not least because they are Mary Sues. A few of them are so bad that they become good, and this was one of them at the start. Then, as it gradually turned on the humour, it started to look actually kinda legitimately good. After all, as the Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchetts have demonstrated, nonsense in the name of humour can be amusing. But alas, as the dial kept being turned higher and higher, the characters became caricatures and the nonsense humour became just nonsense nonsense. By 65% of the way in, with just about every character going "Why can't I hold all these idiot balls?", my suspension of disbelief was finally shattered, and I decided to call it quits while ahead.

I started reading this book because I liked the concept of teachers being powerful in this world, as opposed to the usual fare. And the strength in this book (which can also be a flaw if you're not into detailed descriptions of the "leveling up" process, which I admit I skim a lot) is how detailed and expansive its world-building is. Not only is there the usual martial arts cultivation, but it also covers a whole host of supporting professions, like musicians and dancers who can beguile people, painters whose paintings can come alive, etc. Another thing I like about it is the humor. There are a lot of funny running jokes, like the protagonist's complete lack of EQ and tact, and him inadvertently destroying everything he runs across.

Other than that though, this book falls prey to most of the worst characteristics of the cultivation/xianxia genre. Way way too much detail on numbers and leveling and stats that I don't really care about unless I'm playing a video game. Too much repetition - the same things keep happening, except the people are stronger now. The thing that almost got me to quit the book though, was the main romance and the several hundred chapters long misunderstanding, which is so long that it must surely qualify the author for some circle of the writers' hell.

Read this if you're into xianxia world-building and humor, but you won't be missing much if you drop the book once you get bored.

Since I've read this novel in the webnovel app, I said to myself 'you've done a good job downloading the app...no it's more than a good job, definitely one of the best decision I've ever made' it's a page turner and unbelievably mind blowing. Zhang Xuan, that name never leave my mind- both conscious and unconscious. It's crazy, right? Because it is indeed! This novel made me even cried. There were times when I was so very frustrated I badly wanted to read more but I can't unlock other chapters. I was upset the whole day, swearing and praising how great Zhang Xuan is and ten fold two the author. I am proud I've read this novel, this is highly highly recommended. I have a deep respect to the author. This novel changed my ideal type of guy into two words...Zhang Xuan! and I assure you it's worth of your time. Lessons, fun, knowledge, sense, incredible imagination, culture and many more. As a person who love books and had read a lot my judgement can be trusted. Read it!

I was introduced to this story from listening to it on Pocket FM (all character names are in English). On Pocket FM Zhang Xuan is called Xavier Matthew.

This story started slow and gradually picked up. Not your typical cultivation novel, the humor and character development kept one engaged and wanting to continue reading. I wish more cultivation novels were as funny as this book.

Watching his students grow into powerhouses of thier own as the story progresses was a beautiful experience.

The Professor Xavier Matthew (aka Zhang Xuan)'s love life in this story had some areas of heartbreak 💔 😢, but the ending resolved everything when he finally ends up with his true love.

Recommend listening to this on Pocket FM, I think it was overall easier for me to follow as the names were in English.

This novel gives so much emphasis to teacher role, the way this book combines Confucianism value are splendid while still have good humor, I never know about Confucianism before, but form this book I appreciate the value so high. Yes, the teacher is the main character here, very unique for a xianxia novel. For me this is the best xianxia novel, and must-read in a lifetime

imma be REALLY honest (tho it might be biased a lil bit). This novel is such a masterpiece. Like, words couldn't even describe how magnificent the story is, or how awesome the journey that Zheng Yang (the mc) had to go through in all 1500+ chapters. Seriously, just go ahead and try it for yourself.

My no.1, The Greatest Chinese Novel EVER.

I have to assume there are multiple versions of this. I bought the book on Amazon (not Kindle Unlimited), and it seems to be a poor machine translation. It is incomprehensible.

At least, it was humourous till the end, unlike other serious novels, where there will be a phase , which will make you slow your reading.
Good one for me.
