In the magnificent interstellar era, mankind has finally developed teleport technology, but when trying to teleport, they are not sent to the future, the past, or any land known to men...
This mysterious space is called God’s Sanctuary, where lived numerous unknown creatures. Here, humans will make the greatest leap in their evolution to create the most glorious epoch in history.
"Sacred-blood creature black beetle killed. Beast soul of sacred-blood black beetle gained. Eat the meat of sacred-blood black beetle to gain 0 to 10 geno points randomly."
A Chinese web novel having Xuanhuan elements, which means Epic Worldbuilding and plot, plenty of action and leveling up, and a crazy length along with an unsatisfying finish.
The review is for all the 3472 chapters.
I quite liked the start, the way they mixed modern Sci-fi with fantasy, space exploration, gene up-gradation, and a sanctuary for the humans made for grand worldbuilding. The plotting felt fresh, not your typical Xuanhuan. Give it 5/5
By the time we get to the middle of the book, a lot of the writing feels repetitive but not dull. With a good load of adventure, action, mystery, and comedy, it was still a fun read. Give it 3/5
The last 1/3rd of the novel was a total drag for me, I ended up dropping the book only to come back months later to finish it. It kind of spoiled all the good stuff. The plot was all over, the story didn't seem to end and when it finally did, it was a rushed botched work. Give it 1/5
It's just great. Solid translation work! The Sanctuaries are a really interesting world, and over a thousand+ chapters there was never an arc that bored me. Never been a fan of historical fiction, so was very happy when Sci Fi + Martial Arts = Win in this case.
I really enjoyed this one for the worldbuilding and some of the unique characters especially at the beginning when the mc is still in the sanctuary, but the mc is very Gary Stueish for the later half of the story but again it can be digested for the power system, world building and character interactions. It's a solid story, very enjoyable, would recommend for anyone who likes sci-fi and fantasy.
On chapter 709, author develops a lot from the beginning of the book, honestly can't put the book down since I started it trying to catch up to how fast it releases. Plot is great and writing style is pretty good, although some things get lost in translation.
Edit: 3462 chapters later and it's over, that took forever to read waiting for it to be released and having caught up but it was good and worth it
This novel was the first I read, and I'll tell you what, it got me hooked on reading. It took me months to finish reading this book for most of the day. When finished with the book I was hoping for more chapters but sadly it ended on a high note and ended the story on a good note.
Major Spoilers you have been warned
Summary: In the beginning the mc Han Sen is at the first god’s sanctuary and is ridiculed by many due to previous actions. But as he is on a hunting spree, he stumbles apon a black crystal which gives him the ability to evolve other creatures to then consume those creatures to get stronger. As he goes through the sanctuaries, he gets stronger and stronger, with that more knowledge about the world around him. The MC eventually learns that the 5th sanctuary is where the humans reside and has to ascend. Once he ascends, he starts to gain geno armaments never seen before and a constitution like no other. When reaching the deified step, he learns that humans were experiments from the main antagonist himself Qin Xiu who gave certain humans blue blood even if they still spill blood their blood will always stay blue. Qin Xiu wanted to become the strongest to cure his sister. By doing that he needs to have the power to restart the Genovese through the geno hall. Near the end of the book the black crystal was then taken by Qin Xiu himself saying that the black crystal was the gene prototype or the origin of genes which was made by him. Using the gene prototype one can have the power of the entire Genovese. So, in order to stop what Qin Xiu was about to do the MC needed to reach universe class, and when he finally did reach universe class, he was immune to pretty much all damage and could then fight anything.
I recommend this to anyone who likes action packed stories with sci-fi elements. Try to read the first 50 chapters and see if you like it or not. This book does compare to Wuxia novels but compared to other novels of that category this one is a breath of fresh air.

The first thing I enjoyed this novel and the reasons are as follows: - the MC s poised, he keeps his calm even when he is insulted, as he needs to protect his family, so far he's the only that's really done that in what I've read, at the same time he doesn't let weaker people step on him when it shouldn't happen - the MC is not a complete cheat like existence like it often happens, there is a system but everyone has access to it. so far there's only one time during which it can be said there's plot armor (the stone)
- In the "cultivation world" there cannot be the intervention of someone overwhelmingly stronger as they go to other areas after becoming strong enough and they can't come back, I think it is great for the stability of the novel, and it ensures there won't be a ridiculous jump in strength coming from nowhere for the MC
- the world building has started in the 70ish chapters, so don't worry about it, in any case the novel has more than 3000 chapters. the last point leads to me criticizing the haters: how THE HELL can you criticize a novel on its world building when you've only read as few as 10-20-30 chapters ???!? are you for real ?! I mean, seriously all the novels I've read on webnovel so far are bound to have hundreds if not more than a thousand chapters, just give the novels a chance to grow and set a foundation for the characters before the world, you are just being ridiculous otherwise, it's like relying on first impression to categorize people, it's nonsensical
An interesting SF/F epic that hits many LitRPG tropes (weak-to-strong; leveling and stats, gene modification and super powers, mecha, xuanhuan and cultivation, 1:1 battles, pets). I liked the action, although at nearly 3500 chapters this is like a multi-book series rather than a stand-alone novel. I liked the protagonist's values, and he's got a lot of gumption even if he's Marty Stu-ish.
Author summary: The future unfolded on a magnificent scale into the Interstellar Age. Humanity finally solved the space warp technology, but when humanity transported themselves into the other end, they discovered that place neither had a past nor future, nor was there any land under the starry skies……
The mysterious sanctuary was actually a world filled with countless tyrannical unusual organisms. Humanity faced their great leap in evolution, starting the most glorious and resplendent new era under the starry skies.
“Slaughtered the God Blood organism ‘Black Beetle’. Received the God Blood Black Beetle’s Beast Soul. Used the God Blood Black Beetle’s flesh. Randomly obtaining 0 to 10 points of God Gene(s).”
I cannot recommend this book to anyone. It doesn't matter how interesting a concept it is either.
This book has many problems but only one really matters and that is awful planning. There are constant plot holes. I mean almost every other chapter introduces a new plot hole.
Character is introduced and given plot relevance but MC isn't strong enough to uncover the secrets so he retreats and vows to come back later. Never does come back. Places are introduced and given plot relevance but the MC either never goes there or goes once and never again even though there is supposed to be plot points there. Entire species are introduced that are given plot relevance but never explained.
So many things are written as important to the plot or holds some secret but the author forgets 2 chapters later.
There is a write up by someone else on reddit that details a great many of the plot holes so I'm not going to do that here. Just know that there is literally only a 1/20 chance that any given plot thread is actually carried to the end. By the end of the book you're left unsatisfied and completely flabbergasted at some of the plotholes.
This was my second start at reading it after putting it on hold while it was still updating. I made it to the end after skipping about 500 chapters. I skipped some of the monotony without loosing key content. Early chapters are better, as usual, in this genre. The ending tried to be exciting. It got confusing. Maybe it’s just me.
The main character, his attitude and personality was the highlight for me. Obviously, he’s over powered and has thousands of chapters to display his might.
It is a slightly different twist on the typical Asian cultivation novels. The novel expands off worlds into higher realms and different universes keeping it unpredictable in scope. The fight for cultivation materials and to show strength are the same.
The downside is the length of over 3400 chapters. It’s recommended to read if you like old school cultivation novels with a sci-fi flavor. 4/5 stars
The novel isn't perfect but when a character can become legendary despite being openly known as "Ass Freak" is a honorable feat. Novel does lose a lot of steam and momentum around the 3rd God's Sanctuary. I feel the evolution and the doors to become stronger in the 4th God's Sanctuary was a great idea and one that was very much needed but. The author I felt paid more attention to other matters like Dolla and HAREM,
I Absolutely love this book, from him gaining jadeskin in the first sanctuary to forming the coin ability from that toad in the third sanctuary. Any random encounter might be turned fruitful by this mc. I love that Han Sen doesn't like it when people are too nice to him, simply because he knows how to repay evil with evil, but not how to repay kindness. Of course the best character in this book is domineering Dollar and his super spank ability. Five starts all the way.

A wuxia novel based on science fiction. A long journey with 3462 chapters on completion, it took me years to read this novel and now its finally completed.
A journey to perfect his constitution before transcend to the new world. A journey full of hardship and through many plots. A journey through multiple transcend to Become a god.
Ridiculous amount of dues ex machina is thrown into this book to make the plot work. However, the main character is very likeable and there's a good bit of humor. The world building is interesting, with a lot of unique elements. It is translated (I believe), so sometimes the translation is not great. Definitely a good starter light novel.
Pretty good world building. Not a chore to start and keep reading. A few dues ex machinas but not too excessive. I feel like the ending and late scaling is a little too fast. Definitely falls into the classical chinese web novel power scaling loop where shit just gets overpowered and the plot loses its focus way too fast.
I admit to not expecting much when I first found this, but have been hooked to it ever since. The world building is very solid and the MC doesn't get OP in one go as he is constantly forced to face situations beyond his weight class.
Even though it was something I read on web novel, than on other sites as I did;t have the money to pay to keep using web novel for that story, I was able to finish it so far and it was a dam good read.
It was a pretty entertaining read, the whole concept of genes was done nicely. It stretched more than it should have. The ending was also quite underwhelming, plus the second half was unnecessary in my opinion. Consider this is a popcorn novel.
