“How perverted is Si Ye Han's taste? He still wants me like this?” Waking up, she looked at her reflection in the mirror: explosive wig, tattoos, and demon-like makeup. Any normal person’s eyes would burn if they looked at her for more than a second. Before her rebirth, she was in love with a different guy, so all she wanted to do was escape from Si Ye Han and hated him to his core after being locked up by him. After her rebirth, she looked differently at him, thinking that maybe he changed for the better? In the past, her mind was muddled. She let go of a stunning husband, was hurt by a scumbag and backstabber and most of all, was brainwashed by her most trusted friend. In the end, she was utterly alone. In her current lifetime, there are evil people scheming and eagerly waiting for her downfall. Sorry, but this girl won’t fall for the same tricks twice!
This book freaking killed me. 10/10 would read again after I get amnesia and forget everything that happened in this book. Despite having the elements of a typical cliche chinese novel, it was strangely unique. The comedy in this novel is no joke, like the characters are either very stupid or very shameless or very unfortunate(stuffed with dog food day in, day out). The one downside are the plotholes. Admittedly, this book is very complicated and long so I understand how the author neglected some details... But yeah I still enjoyed it anyway due to the memorable characters and author's amazing ability to create a new storyline every time. Like seriously, I don't think she planned any of this at all but at the same time it's possible she could've planned it too. This book could probably be split into two books: one book focused on cliche reincarnated mc exacting revenge on everyone who wronged her in the past and the other book basically a martial arts adventure face-slapping grandson always solves conflicts type of shit. Like seriously, it's like the author forgot the mc was revived from the dead. It's pretty weird still having a storyline after she exacted her revenge. But then again that gave us a new set of likeable comedic characters plus Emperor Ji who is very tragic in his pursuit of romance. Overall, I did like this novel.
3.5 stars? Started out pretty fun but all the drama towards the end was kind of crazy. Didn't know whether I should laugh or cry. Unlike Hidden Marriage by the same author, this novel doesn't have the same reread value.
this is definitely a chinese novel I won't ever forget reading. Having over 2000+ chapters, i was really locked in!🤣 i'm quite impressed with myself with how long I stuck with this novel tbh. this just shows that the author, as well as the translators, did a good job despite all the crazy towards the end!🤯 overall, to me, this novel started out strong then as the chapters went on and on and on it fell off, but it was still pretty entertaining.
Took me quite a few days to get through this [2490 Chapters!!!]
First of all, I loved this book and would've definitely given it 5 stars but after "Independent State" plot began, it became way too dramatic.
I really loved the concept of FL being able to dodge all the incidents that ruined her life before, after her rebirth.
The story was picking up on my excitement gradually from her Senior year to her pretending to be Ye Bai, a guy, to work at Dazzling Media(?)
By then, ML also began to seem very understanding and supportive of FL's success.
The way FL managed to navigate through all the hurdles that the competing firms threw her way was bloody amazing! I was pretty impressed lol. ^^
Plus, all those little incidents between Ye Bai and his co-workers made me laugh and chuckle in the middle of the night like a little fool.
It all went great until after Tang Tang was introduced. After that, well, it all went downhill for me.
I didn't enjoy the "Independent State" part of the story and found my self skipping a few chapters, sometimes 10 in a row [all chapters are small] !
Even after that segment of the story ended, I felt like the main characters evolved a lot since the beginning of the story. Especially the FL, and I didn't like that.
She was clever, funny and sarcastic, both as Ye Wanwan and Ye Bai. But I felt that that got lost somewhere in between..
The story could've been ended earlier, but I get that the author extended it to explain ML's story and FL's unknown past.
Ohemgeeeeeeee one of the best books that I've ever read!!!!!!!! LOVE THE AUTHOR!!!!!!!!!! Si Ye Han is like a love child between Lu Ting Xiao and Yu Shen (Cabbage Lu and Carrot Yu{from Full marks hidden marriage: pick up a son get a free husband})
This is almost like a quick transmigration novel in that there are a couple of almost distinct arcs in the story. The full novel is lightly wrapped around slowly unraveling her multiple identies and relationships with people.
The first arc is "escape the domineering husband's house" - she needs to pacify her husband and show she's changed.
The second is "school slice of life" where she deals with bullies and scheming classmates and studying.
The third arc is "conquer the entertainment industry", where she needs to help stars get fame and money while overcoming overbearing competitors. This entertainment arc is my favorite; the characters and face slapping in this arc was wonderfully satisfying.
Then there is a slight shift and the book becomes less of a modern story, and more of a fantasy. This later half of the novel is also more fueled by magical secret histories rather than anything that the female lead actually does in the novel. She relies mostly on what she's done in the past to get by, rather than her ability to manipulate the situation.
The fourth arc is "take over martial arts alliance" set in a different continent. The arc also mingles into the "impress at martial arts academy" arc, which is mostly there to reveal some of female leads history and background.
Then we have "conquer the entertainment world party 2", which is honestly really brief and almost unsatisfying in how it's concluded. Like most of the arcs later in the story, this arc is quickly resolved with her background, not really through her ingenuity.
The next arc is a bit of a mess, if I were to call it anything, I guess it would be "prevent collapse of existing martial world"? Or maybe, "acting shameless in the martial world"? The martial world segments are definitely more goofy than the first half of the novel set in the real world.
The final arc, if I were to give it a title, is "mother and son conquer maternal grandmother's community". Basically, the female lead relies on her background to make a splash in the male lead's original community. Then her son conquers the grandmother with cuteness.
And then finally, the male and female marry, there's a confusing wedding fight (which I thought would be explained more in a mini arc, but that absolutely didn't happen), and some side stories that delve into the background of 2 of the male side characters.
I really like the first side story, it made me cry a little - the relationship between the Ji emperor and the female lead was so sweet. I guess it also helps make the point that a person can truly love multiple people in their lives, though I think the Ji emporer was a bit too self sacrificing. Be a little more selfish dammit!
The second side story I thought was fun, but just sort of solidified the brother's image as a ridiculous scoundrel. I know the author tried to make this brother seem silly but impressive, but the silly overpowered the impressive bits for me. I ended up seeing him as a bit of a joke.
The familial bias is another thing that really struck me about this book. Family members were usually more reliable than close outsiders, since the betrayals usually happened from outsiders masquerading as family. That said, this book does try to unravel some fairly complicated family relationships and estrangements. I loved how rich and strong family ties were in this novel.
I also love how strong the female lead is. She has a domineering male partner, but she's still the one resolving all her own problems, and even coming to the rescue on some of his issues. She doesn't need her man to do anything for her other than be there for companionship. He does provide some help towards the end, mostly through his status, but in the beginning of the novel, he's almost more if an obstacle than a boon.
Overall, I think the first half of this novel was a 5 star book, but as the novel became more focused on fighting and the martial world, it focused less on indicate schemes and more on surprise reveals/comedy gags. That shift brings this novel down to a 4 for me.

I finished this one a week ago, i didn't know i could read in one week tho. At first I'm quite dislike Si Yehan but since i trust this author i keep read, afterall the heroin changed better. I like strong heroin. The entertainment chapters... Quite interesting, then after starting part @ Independent State... At first I feel a bit bored since the hero and heroin temporary by own. But the best things no need to face entertainment part much anymore, it seem this novel 'badass/bad/martial arts/thriller-kill@fight' unlike first novel...but afterwards i fall in love! Excellent story idk how to said it anymore. I just really want to know how strong Worrilies Nie in present time, did she more strong than Lord Asura? Hehehe their kid is so awesome, brother, etc so funny!
I finally got through a light novel! I mean, this one only had about 2,500+ chapters, and 2 side-stories, but it was all translated and I got to finish it!!
It was a very good book, fun idea. It seemed as if there were 2 books in 1. Like if you didn't read the 1st part you would still be ok for when she goes to find Si Ye Han.
The ending seemed rushed (which after 2,500+ chapters it seems like it should have been perfect). I forgot who the bad guy was at the end too, although that could be my migraine fogged brain.
So... overall great story. Completely ready to be read online now. Just search for 'Light novel perfect secret love online.' Lots of sites have it.
3.5 stars rounded down. Actually, this is waaay too long, but worth it in a way. So many adventures and characters, you're gonna love most of them. It's a little outrageous at times, considering how impossible the situations were. But overall, it was enjoyable and fun. The female lead is really very strong, making you jealous. LOL!
Read this for the nth time and still loving it. Such badass FL who doesn’t rely much on the ML. I love Si Yehan and Ye Wanwan! The plot is so interesting i binge read this. 😅 the only downside is the ending. I think it’s forced and it shouldn’t have ended with that. But over all, one of my faves😍
This is actually the first Chinese novel I’ve read all the way through and it’s over 2000 chapters… and honestly I would sell my soul just to experience it for the first time again. It hooked me so bad I couldn’t stop reading. It’s messy, dramatic, funny, and addictive in the best way. Definitely one of those stories that stays with you because of how much time you spend living in it.
Lovely novel I want to read it complete but only 1953 chapters updated on novelsfull. Com kindly update more chapters I can't hold it any more please tell me where to read the full novel loved it soooooooo much lovely novel
I read the manhwa version and i read enough to know what will happen till the end. The story was alright and as usual drag way to much and so many unnecessary scenes but its alright...i guess
Too long, too many twists and turns, too illogical (even for a webnovel) and the characters separate too many times. Skip and go read something better. There are so much out there.
