Teachers with classroom libraries in need of nonfiction should consider adding a copy of this gem. Not only does it support the study of the human body with its focus on bones, but it shares interesting facts about many lesser-known animals.

This book about Humans, Animal Bones of All Different Types. And some Ancient reptiles. It is a bit busy with facts, and may be perfect for 4th through 6th graders. Junior high or middle school readers can find an animal they are studying or doing a report on, and get info on that particular animal. Otherwise, the information may be too numerous and overwhelming for some. And for older children it would be repetitive and boring.

Amazing pictures, lots of great facts. As a biology teacher, I loved it. I’m definitely considering adding it to my classroom. My daughter (7) absolutely loved it too.

This book lists many types of animals: from horses, to elephants, to squirrels, and their bone structures. It shows the animal's skeletal system and then labels bones, their uses, and how their different from other animals. My favorite section was the Human section, it showed me what a large role our skeletons play in our everyday lives. I think that people who enjoy animals and biology would obviously enjoy this book.

My son was so excited when I came home with this book. He wanted to read it right away. Once we started I think my son got thrown off. He seems a little bit scared at the pictures. He liked some of them but most he said NO and would turn the page very fast. Still I found this book to be very informative.
