The book Understanding contains hundreds of quotations that stand alone as some of the most fundamental truths of this universe. L. Ron Hubbard’s strikingly beautiful, often poetic use of the language conveys the essence of Scientology and provides data you can apply immediately in life. The quotations cover such subjects as Happiness, Art, Society, Truth, Knowledge, Communication and many more.
L. Ron Hubbard is universally acclaimed as the single most influential author and humanitarian of this modern age. His definitive works on the mind and spirit—comprising over 350 million copies in circulation and more than 40 international bestsellers—have resulted in a legacy benefiting millions and a movement spanning all cultures.
Although the author is apparently a talented writer and an intelligent man, the way he writes this particular book was not at all able to hold my interest or make me understand a lot of the things he was trying to explain. He says the best way to understand “everything” is to read and if you don’t know what a word means look it up in the dictionary and that is one of his best pieces of advice in understanding how the world works. Maybe I misinterpreted something, but I believe that is quite vague. I could read the entire dictionary and it wouldn’t make me understand everything in this world we live in.
