This is 70% rant and 30% review. Either way, this book is 100% crap.

What the hell? Seriously, what the hell? Earlier this year, I said that Taking Chances was the worst book i've read this year, but that was before I read this book. I just don't even know what to say about this book. Basically Mummert took the worst qualities from Christian Grey and Edward Cullen, and combined them all into one batshit character. If that wasn't enough, she took everything that was annoying about Bella Cullen and Anastasia Steele, and created Emma.

Emma Townsend is basically the most pathetic character i've ever read about. She doesn't stand up for herself, and she does not react appropriately to situations. A few girls Emma had never talked to before asked her if she'd like to smoke weed with them. Most people with any kind of common sense would say no. But Emma has no common sense, so i'm sure you can all guess what she did. Long story short, she gets caught by Mr. Honnor and he drags her off to his classroom. Would you like to know what he did next? He pushed her over his desk and started spanking her. If I were her, I would have run screaming to the deans office to report him. What did Emma do? She just stood there and took it. Later on they have oral sex and Mr. Honor tells her she should taste herself, so he forces his tongue into her mouth. At first Emma fights back and tries to push him off, but after a couple of seconds, she just kind of goes "oh well, it's happening, so why fight it." Really?

William Honor is crazy. It's not even the tortured bad boy who just needs to be loved crazy that so many new authors seem to love. He's just legitimately crazy. Want to know what his first thought was when he saw Emma? "Pure submissive perfection." Really, that's what he thought. He looked at this student that he's supposed to educate, and all he could think about was how we would like to bend her over and spank her with a ruler. Not only is he a complete creep, but he's practically a rapist too. If a girl tries to push you off of her saying she doesn't want something, you should stop. Does Mr. Honor stop? Of course not! He just assumes that she'll learn to love it. To Mr. Honor, yes means yes. Oddly enough, no also means yes. Know what else means yes? Getting out of his car, running away from him, and trying to push him off of you while trying to get him to stop forcing his tongue inside of your mouth. Isn't that just great? See, he knows what you really want, which means that he knows that when you say "No, stop you fuckwad! Get off!" what you really mean is "Oh yea baby!"

Another issue I had with this book was the insta-love. In the first book, Emma, being the idiot that she is, goes to the movie with the girls who totally screwed her over when they got caught smoking pot. While she's out going to the bathroom she sees Mr. Honor making out with someone and she talks about how betrayed she feels because of this. Really? You have known him for TWO DAYS. The creep bent you over his desk and spanked you, and you've decided that all of this means that you're in love? When he started hitting her, she was basically like "Oh he hits me because he loves me!" Emma, when a guy hits you, it obviously means that he loves you you should call the cops on his ass.

In this book, Mr. Honor talks about how he spied on Emma like a creep to find out her plans, then purposely dragged the woman he was having an affair with (Yep! He's a cheater too!) to the movies just for the purpose of making out with her in front of Emma. When he saw that she was hurt, he goes "Oh no, I've hurt her feelings! Wait.. I care about her feelings? This obviously means that i'm in love with her! Who cares if i've only known her for two days and spent a total of maybe an hour with her? We. Are. Soulmates."

I could have lived with the craptastic characters, but the writing pushed it over the edge. At some point, she wrote "I shuttered at the thought." Yes people, that's right, she said shuttered. Unfortunately for my boyfriend, I was reading this on his iPhone, and I chucked it. That's how pissed off I was by that point. I seriously just got so fed up, that I threw his phone away in an attempt to get this godforsaken book away from me. I mean this book is supposed to be in Mr. Honor's point of view, but for whatever reason, it kept switching back and forth between him and Emma. I was already getting pissed off with this, but then Mummert started using the wrong genders for the characters. I honestly don't even think she wrote this book from scratch, if you read Honor Student, and then you read this book, you'll get what I mean. But don't read them, reading this book will induce a rage so blinding, that you will feel the overwhelming urge to break everything within reach. I actually had a dream last night about sneaking up behind Mr. Honor and Emma and pushing them off a cliff. Never in my life have I ever dreamt about a character before, but this book was so bad that I couldn't even let go of the anger I felt towards it while I was asleep. This book had so many spelling mistakes, punctuation errors, and flat-out bad writing that I actually started to laugh. But it wasn't even the "ha-ha this book sucks so I won't take it seriously" kind of laugh, it was the "I'm so unbelievably infuriated that I'm starting to lose my grasp on my sanity and I'm giggling to hide my murderous rage" kind of laugh. I have no idea why this book has such a high rating, and my boyfriend is permanently banned from buying me books, because he keeps choosing wonderful gems such as:

I think he may actually be doing it on purpose. I hated this book like I have never hated a book before. I actually consider this to be the worst book I have ever read. Twilight? This book makes it look like a literary masterpiece. Fallen? The character development is perfection compared to this. Fifty Shades of Grey? The sex scenes in Honor Thy Teacher have nothing on Fifty Shades of Grey! Which reminds me..

Dear Ms Mummert,

You seem to have forgotten what the name of a certain piece of female anatomy is called, so I'll help you out and remind you. It's called a vagina. Say it with me, VA-GI-NA. It is not called my initmate place, my intimate part, down there, or any of the other asinine names you managed to use. It's a vagina.

WOW! Now I think I understand the meaning of the term "anti-hero".

William Honor is the bad boy college professor who commits the cardinal sin of hitting on one of his students. But he doesn't just flirt with Emma...he throws it into high gear from day one and "goes after" her. What I mean by that is he really wants this girl...wants to possess her, wants to dominate her, wants to fuck her six ways to Sunday. Is he losing his mind? He can't think straight anymore. She makes him crazy, she makes him horny, she makes him lose control... and William never loses control. OMG this is a wild ride from beginning to end!

I thought I should hate William but I'm drooling over the guy instead. He's the poster boy for the term "hot mess", yet something about him is so damn attractive. If you're familiar with Travis Maddox from Beautiful Disaster then you have a good idea what William is all about...but about 4 times more intense. Once he seduces Emma it's all over for any man who even looks her way. Like Travis, he is totally dysfunctional in a one-on-one relationship; however, while Travis used his fists to "communicate" his displeasure of any man that looked Abby's way, William's method of dealing with Emma's admirers is ratcheted way the hell up from simply delivering a black eye.

So why do I find this troubled man so appealing? To begin with, the story is told in first person by William. We get to find out first-hand what has happened in his troubled past to make him the man he is today. In the first book, Honor Student, we get the story from Emma's POV...and that gives us zero insight as to where this crazy guy Emma has latched onto is coming from. We only know that he is a gorgeous young teacher who is into kinky fuckery and totally messes with Emma's head. You wonder WTF is she doing with this guy? He's having an affair with a married staff member, his ex-wife is blackmailing him, he freaks out when Emma dances with another man and punishes her for it by whipping her with his belt. Jeez Emma...t-h-e-r-a-p-y...think you might need some?

But when the story flips and we are inside of William's head, we find out where he's been, who he has become, his self-deprecating thoughts; and, best of all, how much he cares for Emma and what lengths he will go to protect her. He's a user, an abuser and way too out of control. If Christian Grey is fifty shades of fucked up then William Honor is sixty. Apart from Emma, he places little value on human life - including his own. He is a train wreck coming and going...and I'm crushing on him terribly!

Honor Thy Teacher is an adrenaline rush from the first page to the last, and is erotic to the core. Kudos to Teresa Mummert for gifting us with the most dysfunctional couple in romancelandia and having the writing skills it takes to not only make Emma and William believable but have us rooting for them as well. I love the fact that their story is to be continued with Honor and Obey (Emma's POV) and Honor and Betray (William's POV), thereby insuring that William Honor will remain my Kindle fantasy boyfriend for a long time to come!

This is book two in the Honor Series by Teresa Mummert and what a great sequel it is. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Not only do you have the intense sexual attraction, and sex, between Emma and William, but there is also drama, romance, and mystery. When it comes to relationships there are two sides to every story and after reading Emma's in we now get to read Williams's....and man does he have a side (and then some) that shocked the shit out of me. While reading Honor Student, Williams's attitude and actions baffled me to the point where I wasn't sure if I believed the things he was telling Emma. But after reading his side of the story, all I can say is...HOLY FUCKIN SHIT! I soo did not see any of that coming. Now there is a downside to reading this book and it's a big one. The downside is after you read Honor Thy Teacher you're going to want to read right away to see what happens next but you can't...and here's where the downside comes in...it hasn't been published yet. :-( Hopefully it will be out soon.

If you loved Fifty Shades Of Grey then I really think you're going to like this series.

5 fuckin stars !!! You should know , this book isn't really perfect , I mean I have the same issues with it that I had with Honour teacher , but just for the fact that the entire book 1 is told from William's POV and is sooo much more twisted than Emma's POV this one's most definitely worth the read !!!

Before I get on with this review , I have some serious ranting that I need to get off my system . Here goes : William you are such a cold , distant and manipulative (sorta) bastard !!
Now I'm not telling you that he is the bad guy or that he doesn't love Emma but is just having a good time with her . But he hasn't been truthful either !! Everything Emma knows about him is the truth , but a very carefully edited truth ! Reading this book was a total shock , like being tasered over and over again . William , who kind of looked like a warrior fighting his own demons is suddenly looking like a monster himself ! I know he really loves Emma , but after reading this book I'm kinda having second thoughts on that .. not really

Another character that I forgot to mention about in my review of Honor Teacher was Emma's anut Judy , Emma's so called aunt . judy is pretty much into a world of her own and doesn't really care about Emma . But in this book we find out , what she's all about and ia also connected to William in some ways ! Oh god , can this get any more messier ??!! Maybe it can !!

Definitely waiting to read more in this series !

Umm WHOA!!! OK so for the first half of this book, it was exactly as I thought it would be. I kind of got annoyed because William didn't seem to have much depth or life outside of Emma. She consumed him. There was nothing extra except his internal thoughts to the situations already read in the first book. I was expecting a little more. Well it came. That something more came and blew me away. It was one surprise after another. William had me totally snowed in the first book! Right along with Emma. I can't believe it. My main question is, did he love her the first time he said it to her. Because I thought he said it more to pacify her and keep her from running. I think it was after she said it back later that he realized maybe he does love her. I think by the end of the book he definitely loves her, but WOW he is twisted!

I SO did not see all those lies coming. I'm just blown away. I loved it. I loved every second of it. I was eating it all up, every word that fell from his mouth after learning just who he really was took on all new meaning. It also shows just how naive Emma really is too. I can see how her brokenness and destructiveness would bring out his protective side. He always wants control and she just wants someone to care about her. His domineering and controlling ways fills that void in her. She fits his personality so perfectly, these characters were written so perfectly for each other. But I didn't understand just how perfect until this book. I also liked seeing Emma from Williams point of view. You get a feel for how sad she is in the first book, but you don't get the whole effect because you don't see her from an outside perspective. I LOVED that William could see how self destructive she was just by watching her. I loved seeing it from his POV.

In the beginning I kept wondering why he was so hard on himself, because he really did not think he was any good for Emma. I kept thinking there had to be more to the story behind his ex-wife, it just didn't seem like enough. His opinion of himself seemed too extreme for the explanation. But when it all came out, my mouth literally dropped open. BRILLIANT Teresa Mummert! I just love that I didn't see any of this coming.

I don't know whether to like William or hate him. Actually, I take that back. I started hating him part way through the book, when I realized the feelings he was showing Emma were sort of faked. He was such a jerk. But towards the end I started believing him and started worrying with him about what will happen when all his secrets come to light. He got very possessive of her. I loved it every time he thought "Mine."


Mine. I was addicted to her. To her touch, her smell.


He shot Emma a glare and her gaze dropped to her plate. I wanted to leap across the table and strangle him. Mine.



So when do the next 2 books come out? I can't freakin' wait!! Ugh, I should have waited to read these 2 books until the others were already released. I hate waiting. I just didn't know I was going to be so blown away.




OH there was one thing that the author left out of this book. And I wonder why. After the first night she stays at his house, he takes her back to her car and she is hurt and feeling rejected again he says "I'm just trying to protect you." Then she says "By hurting me?" He thinks she means physically and explains that she didn't use her safe word blah blah blah. But she says in the first book, "I'm not talking about then, I'm talking about right now." or something along those lines. But in this book she never says it. I don't know if he just supposed to be lost in his own thoughts feeling guilty about putting blame on her for the whole safe word thing or what, but I was really interested in his internal reaction to her words. Because up until this point he had not shown very much emotion and in the first book this is one of the first spots where he lets her see his emotions. I thought that was kind of a big moment, because he realizes if he has the power to hurt her than that must mean she cares. But I guess not. :(

I had the "Honor" of receiving this book from the author to give her "input and a quick proofread". Uhh!!! I thought I had William figured out in Honor Student...boy was I wrong! I learned what makes the Professor tick in this book, his secrets are definitely revealed now. We get to see what makes him crave the power he needs to exist and start a life with Emma. I will admit there were a few moments when I sat reading with my mouth gaping wide open, tsk tsk...dirty secrets Professor. This is Williams point of view and it will have you loving him one minute and hating him the next. You will want to scream at Emma to run as far away from him as she can but then at the last minute turn around and run into his arms. The secrets revealed at the end of the book are...disturbing to say the least and I cannot wait to see what Teresa has in store for Book #3 Honor & Obey. One little tip for #3 Teresa...MORE SEX dammit!! lol We all crave VERY VIVID GRAPHIC details of what exactly happens on the 3rd floor...tell us just how dirty this Dom can get. ;)~

I know this one is only a novella but if you read the first one and liked it you have to read this one, you may think it's only a story told from Williams point of view but it is much more there are alot of nasty secrets left to come out and any of them could tear this couple apart. Without giving too much away from the first book you quickly work out that Willaim is the anti hero of the story but it is much worse than you could have ever imagined, there is a murder lurking in his past, involvement in a bdsm club which by it's self is not so bad but it is another persons involvement in that club which is going to cause the most grief and then there is also the ex wife which William has convinced Emma is sorted out and they will never see her again but that is not for sure and the way in which he has handled it is bound to come back and bite him. There are so many skeletons in Williams closet that I'am sure will be revieled in the next book.

I had the luxury of reading Honor Thy Teacher as a ARC. Where to begin... In the first book Honor I feel in love with Emma and William and couldn't wait to read what comes next in their lives. Well Honor Thy Teacher made that need intensified ten fold. In this story we get to experience the story through Williams POV and boy is it one interesting POV. There is so much more to William then I ever fathomed. His secrets are reveled adding to the twist and turns of the drama that he and Emma still face ahead. Then there's the drinking and the intense love he has for Emma that he feels unworthy of. All of this made William one crazy hot ass messed up character that I fell more in love with! This is a must read. It will give a whole new meaning and depth to Honor. Absolutely perfect read and sooo cant wait till the next book in this series comes out!

Amazing....just freaking amazing....I loved this book so much from his POV....Teresa Mummert - Kudos to you for writing this book and filling in all the gaps on what was happening when William wasn't around Emma!

It was extremely eyeopening and I was shocked by a lot of his actions that I had no idea were coming. It was so great to get into his head...he is a dark, dark man and I hope in the upcoming books he will try to find his way to the light with the help of Emma.

Again....what an awesome, amazing way to read book 2....

WOW.....I loved this version just as much as Emma's POV. I liked reading what and how William was feeling and thinking. I thought it was great to find out more of his backstory. Some of the things he did shocked me. I am really excited to see what happens in Honor and Obey. It will be interesting to see if his past comes out and to see what Emma has to say about it.

OMG!! William has more secrets than I thought possible! He's dark and twisted! The one real thing is his love for Emma! I loved the first book, but William's perspective was way better! We found out more of the secrets that could tear the couple apart and just how disturbed the professor truly is!! He knows her aunt- can't wait to see how that will affect the relationship! Can their love survive and will Emma be able to accept William and all his demons??

I was lucky enough to have read Honor Thy Teacher as an ARC. It was great! Sexy, erotic, interesting, and above all a great love story. I'm a die hard 50 Shades fan and the Honor series is right there with it. You will hate and love William all in the same breath. Looking forward to the next installment.

*My Review* (I think that this is my first review of such a bad kind of book!)

What in the heck's name was this "book"?

Originally, I would give it 0.5 stars but alas, GR has only one-star ratings. Thank God I didn't get to start with the first book, because I think I would be vomiting now.

But SERIOUSLY, what was this????

William, the hero, is an obsessive stalker. He admits that he is a bad influence for Emma but yet, he doesn't even try to stay away from her. He talks and thinks about committing murder like he's deciding what tie he wants to wear. He also says he loves her, but he hurts her. I got seriously CREEPED OUT.

Somebody should warn the cops for him! I fear that if he was real, in a few years he would be the cliched example of abusive husband/father.

It was bad. Really, really bad. Don't read this. DO. NOT. READ. IT.

And let's not forget Emma. Oh my Gosh! Now I get to see what people meant when they said "doormat". IS SHE CRAZY? She probably has i-s-s-u-e-s.

Let's talk about the plot and the writing. IT WAS HORRIBLE! Lots of breaks in the plot. For someone who reads "Honor Thy Teacher" first, it's really confusing. Lots of inconsistencies. And her writing was so simplistic that in my view it should not be considered as a book, but as pages from a diary. A crappy and creepy one at that.

I think that this is the first time I write such a negative review. But it's the truth for me. Seriously, if you can, stay away from it!

This is William Honor’s POV to book one and it doesn’t disappoint!! William is not as perfect as Emma believes him to be... He will stop at nothing to hold onto her. She is his drug of choice.

“I was completely in control, yet powerless against her. She had done things to me that no other woman had. I craved her.”

The lengths William will go to keep Emma are endless. He is completely in love with her but hides his true self.

“William?” She turned to look at me. “Do you trust me?” It was a loaded question. I did. Not will all my secrets, but with my heart.”

In this book we catch a glimpse into who William Honor is flaws and all!!!

Wonderful! I looked at this series for weeks not realizing that it would be one of the most enjoyable and sexiest books/series I have ever read. Hero, William Honor (29 years/dark brown hair/blue eyes) is better than Christian Grey (!) in class with Gideon Cross, albeit darker. He will stay with you for awhile, especially book 2 written from his POV. I wish Ms. Mummert would let us know how many books total… will a Book 5/6 end series? Please read series in order. Also, I love the cover art and if I’m not mistaken it was made by the author herself – good job!

When I started reading this story I was a little reluctant because I am not one to read a story from different POV's. I consider one POV good enough. Well this story definitely set the bar on that opinion.
This man has so many dark secrets and skeletons in his closet that I have no idea how he would even begin to explain to Emma his situation. I really enjoyed his POV because its dark and raw. Her POV in "Honor Student" is full of emotion but made me wonder why he was needy and almost stalker like. Now I know why. I cannot wait for the next book to find out what is going to happen. I'm not sure I would be a big enough person to except his baggage but maybe she is.

This book is a coming together, of books that alone are brilliant but put together turns into something beyond surreal, the abilty to pull the reader in to such a high degree is a rare gift, the author manages to do just that, and leave us wanting more.

There is a lot more here than at first glance. It's one of those series I'm sure I'll have to read again once the entire story is finished. Yes it's a Dom story, but something else too. Since the story is not complete at this point in time I suppose I'll have to wait to finish that chain of thought. Lots of control here but that would go without saying....anger, love, lust it's all there. Changing the pace and how the info plays out in the story line is different...not bad just different. I would think that is a positive when trying to find your on place.

Like I said about the first book - BLOWN AWAY! I hate seeing this series get compared to 50 Shades because it is so much better. William is so twisted and the definition of a bad boy. I love that he doesn't turn into some romantic mush at the end of this book. He stays true to who he is. can't wait for the next book to find out if Emma discovers his secrets.

I loved the premise... seeing "Honor Student" from William's POV. Some parts were redundant; however, the different POV gave SO MUCH insight into William's state of mind. (Which by the way is totally screwed up!) The revelation regarding "J" totally shocked me! I can't wait to read "Honor and Obey" to learn what transpires! As a matter of fact, I've already started... gotta love ebooks. Thanks Teresa for keeping my interest peeked!

William's POV was great. I feel like I have been filled in and know whats going on. All the blanks from the first book have been filled( If possible I may have been exposed a little tmi from William which made me go wtf? several times) William is not exactly who I expected him to be but I am okay with that... I still <3 him. Excited to see what happens in the next book, but I am wishing it was from Williams pov too.

I was desperately trying to give this more stars, but I settled on three. It was much better than the first. My issue though is the rushing of both stories, the grammar, and the characterization. First off, and yes, this is a total spoiler alert...William is a very bad guy. I can let things go when it comes to being a sadist, or a supernatural being...but the simple fact is he's deliberately killed and is trying to kill. Nuh uh, big no no! You can be sexy as hell or bad ass in my book, but killing or attempting to. Hell no. Yeah, not big on finding you dead sexy there. I just can't get past that. I understand why and the fear of what happened with his friend Stephen...but damn. Then with Jeff and then what he was deliberately doing to his ex Abby. I don't know if this is a very healthy guy for this incredibly self destructive girl. Though I have a feeling that her past will be eerily similar to William's when Honor & Obey comes out. I saw a hint of it, that is so subtle you have to wonder what happened to Emma's parents. It's so vague you barely miss it in the first book. AND that book was so damn confusing at times. This one clears up quite a few confusing things from the first installment, but I still thought it could have been better. Especially the baby issue. Something tells me William's issues stem entirely from his crazy ass father. I really didn't like this guy. And I had no respect for Abby. Martha I wonder if she happens to be a slave to her husband? And Aunt Judy I have a feeling, a very horrible feeling, she is the Mistress that William has been with as a submissive.

I've still read better, and definitely better characters. I'm seriously getting tired of William's crazy ass mind. He's all over the place and he's more than a dom, not sure what to call him. But not that. He seriously has issues past issues. Again, I'm not entirely sure either is very healthy for the other...and this is so sad. Will there be any redeeming qualities in the third book? I am bracing myself, but not sure if I should expect much. Is it horribly that bad? No, but, it could have been better.

Now, in this, I saw the similarities to Fifty, but it still had something of it's own story no matter how rushed or the vagueness of characterization. Seriously was pulling my hair out for that one. I couldn't connect at all with any of the characters. I couldn't get excited, or think a scene was hot and bothersome...I was just timid, which was weird. It fell flat for me. That was it in a nutshell. I tried and hoped it would get better. It felt as if the story was telling and definitely not showing. Sure I got more details that explained things. Damn good plot, but seriously needed more depth to it. I really wished it did because it would have made me really connect to Emma and William. Maybe Honor & Obey will? I'm hoping Teresa's other stories don't fall flat as these did. I also got her Undying Love Series...wonders if I will be regretting getting them. I hope not. But for those who can look over things in this series, read it. It has something, just not everything you'd read elsewhere. I really tried giving more, but three was pushing it. But it was definitely better than the first.
