Five men. Brothers in arms. Their fight to free the shifters of Kentucky could destroy them all.
For two generations, the wolf shifters of Mammoth Forest have lived under the brutal, ruthless control of the Kentucky Chief Pack Alpha. They have been denied their freedom, their rightful packs, and fated mates for far too long. Now, five brave men have forged a secret alliance hell-bent on resistance. Follow along as the shifters of Mammoth Forest fight to reclaim the women they love and the packs they were born to lead.

Payne
Payne has kept a dark secret from the other rebel Alphas of Mammoth Forest that may just be their downfall.
Before he joined the resistance, Payne served as one of the ruthless Chief Alpha’s most lethal enforcers. Lately, the pull of the Pack has grown irresistible. When asked to go on a mission over the border, Payne jumps at the chance to get clear of the Chief Alpha’s reach. Except, there’s a catch.

He’s got to take Lena, the beautiful sister of one his best friends with him. She too has suffered under Pack control and now Payne is honor bound to protect her with his life. The minute he gets close to Lena, he knows she’s his fated mate. With the Pack’s pull growing, Payne may have to protect Lena from himself.

Lena
The last thing Lena Morris wants is another wolf in her life. She’s still trying to pick up the pieces after spending years as the Chief Alpha’s captive. Although it will break her heart to leave her brother behind, maybe a fresh start far away from Kentucky is just what she needs.

To get there, she’ll have put all her trust in Payne. She senses immediately that he’s got secrets of his own. And yet, she feels drawn to him in ways she never expected. His touch awakens a dark passion and she can’t get him out of her head. As the heat rises between them, Payne and Lena will have to rely on each other if they hope to make it across the border alive.

With the Chief Alpha hot on their heels, Payne’s strength and honor will be tested like never before if he wants to protect his mate.

The Mammoth Forest Wolves books contain smoldering love scenes between fated mates, danger, dark passion and intrigue. If you're into that, saddle up and strap in!

Each book is interconnected and should be read in the following order: Liam, Mac, Gunnar, Payne and finally, Jagger.

As a civil lawyer, I spent many, many years writing complex legal briefs for unappreciative bosses. To keep from stabbing myself (or them) in the eye with a fork during all of that, I also started writing down the stories in my head. All on my own time, of course ;) Turns out, I'm a sucker for hot, alpha male shifters and kickass heroines.

Now, I've thrown away my shingle (er - more like burned it in a fire pit) so I can devote my time to bringing you sizzling, erotic, paranormal romance stories. If you like hunky, bad boy shifters, women who know what they want in and out of the bedroom, panty-melting sex scenes, and edge of your seat suspense, I've got you covered! We'll put the rahr in erotic romance (okay, okay, that sounded better in my head).

Title: ➳ ❤Payne
Series ➳ Mammoth Forest Wolves 4#
Author: ➳ Kimber White

ღ . Payne, his name should tell you everything. He was Able Valent’s executioner at one time.

►Now his job was to cross the Ohio border & head to Michigan to try & find Medical help for Mac’s pregnant mate & Wolfkiller bullets

💞. Payne was no diplomat, if they are lucky enough to make all the way to Michigan & not get killed or captive. Payne still had to convince Wild Lake shifters to help them

♥●• Lena is Mac younger sister, & had suffer years of pain & torture as a captive of the “Pack”, as result she had not felt safe so close to Able Valent & “Pack”. So Mac decided that it was best if Payne try to see if the Wild Lake Packs would give Lena sanctuary

►She’d been asked to leave everything &everyone she knew & trusted behind & follow the enemy into no man’s land

►Lena soon finds out, No matter what happened next, there’d be no going back. Or can she?
.
►It was nice seeing some of our old friends from the Wild Lake Packs –& also being back on the Bonner farm with Pat &Harold Bonner

💞 The big question will be, can Lena Morris & Payne Fallon survive each other? Let alone there journey

💞. Will the Wild Lake Packs give the Mammoth Forest Wolf fighting chance?

💞 Will Payne be able to overcome the pull the from his old Pack, let alone the pull that Able Valent has over him
All these questions & many will be answer in this book.. This is a standalone book

Just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, Kimber fooled me again! I loved the dynamic between Payne and Lena. I can't express enough how refreshing it is to have both leading characters need each other to make it through their endeavor.

Payne. Former top brass for the Chief Pack, he has lived life on a tethered rope. Even though that rope has been broken for some time, his mind is still not free. His self worth is nonexistent and he views himself a monster with no chance of resurrection, but that may be what they need to finally be free. In Mac's book, I became hopeful that these two would end up a pair, and I am grateful they did. It is fitting that it would take the strongest woman of the group to put the monster in check.

Lena! I love this woman! Mac had once said that she was stronger than most, and I'm not sure we have still seen her true potential (I am secretly waiting for her to be the one that ends the Chief Packs life). She is ruthless, cunning, and hell bent on getting revenge on those who tried to control and break her. It was good to see inside her head finally and I cried when I knew how bittersweet the moment was she had to make a choice: leave or stay in the place she viewed as an underground prison. When you have closed off your mind and created your own form of reality to survive, it is amazing how just a little bit of light can change your perception of reality.

I can't wait to read Jagger! I have grand theories on how this story line ends (including Jagger getting another mate), and I hope I guessed right. The pace of the book is great including a couple of nail biting scenes. Review based on ARC provided by the author.

Payne Fallon always considered himself a monster that Able Valent made him. He knows that his fellow rebels believe The Alpha is far away but that's not the truth~he's getting closer every day. Meanwhile, Lena Morris is slowly dying in Mammoth Caves which doesn't help her brother Mac. Lena wishes she could change how she feels and thinks but she'd rather hide out than face the truth. Mac wants Payne to take his sister to Wild Lake and call in a favor too. Payne soon realizes that Lena is stronger than she appears to be. Can they get to Wild Lake? How important is Wild Lake to Mammoth Forest Wolves? Your answers await you in Payne.

I love this series! The characters and story are rich, bold, complex, complicated, raw, real, honest, mysterious, and hopeful. I'm excited to see where the last book takes me.

Eh, this was okay. I mean I enjoyed the story of course, but I didn't enjoy Lena's character.

Here's the thing, Payne used to be under Able Valent's command, was his top executioner, the most feared, but he broke away from that, with help from the others, and settled into a life on the run while simultaneously helping other shifters and humans get into safe parts of the country. He was a bad ass alpha who was 100% and then some loyal to the cause and his brothers, he fought Able's calling super hard, always coming out on top.

Lena, while a loner, by choice, knew what he was a part of. While he didn't tell her who he was to Able initially, he did end up being honest and telling her who and what he did. She even went as far as convincing him it wasn't his fault, she knew it was Able...I thought while despite her forced mating to Shelby, she really understood Payne, yeah...I was wrong! She was really quick to turn her back on him when Jonah came out and very angrily told the entire Wild Lakes pack who Payne used to be, something she already knew. I know hearing it from his mouth and seeing it through his memories is completely different but she knew that was a life forced on him, it wasn't his choice. That was the moment she lost a huge chunk of points in my book because unlike Molly, Eve, Jett and even Keara..Lena didn't show any loyalty towards Payne..she walked away, after that she did redeem herself but it was already to late....I just didn't like her anymore, I didn't hate her but she just seemed weak, not like the others.

Yes, I understand she was forced to mate with Shelby...but that was it. Her weakness came during her captivity after Shelby was killed. I can't explain in further detail so as to not ruin the story for future readers, just know there was nothing sexual during her entire time in captivity, that right there made a huge difference.

So, overall, while the story of survival is still strong in this book, Lena's character took a lot of the joy out of reading it for me. I just didn't like her...

Payne was afraid. Afraid he couldn't be trusted with his mission. Lena, Mac's sister was losing it. She'd been abused under the hand of the all-powerful Alpha, the one we all ran from. Hid from. He wanted her taken to safety and had charged me with doing it. Oh, she didn't know that was the reason. He'd given her another. She believed him. But the alpha's pull, he'd owned me, unlike the others. They didn't understand.
The journey to allies, they hope, is hard and dangerous. Along the way, they realize the pull between them. They are fated, but he can never mark her. She'd been forced before and he'd never put her through anything like it again.
When they arrive, if they arrive, will they find help? What will happen to them? Their feelings? Will Payne do as her brother wants and leave her in safety?
This is a fabulous series. It is touching, exciting with actions and steam. The loyalty this group has under such stressful situations and so much danger is amazing. Payne has a history that haunts him. Although it is coming to an end it will be a series to read and reread. I love that it was tied in with the earlier series and we got to visit those characters again. I encourage ever shifter lover to read this for a look into the strength and emotions of these.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

What can I say besides AWESOME? This book is a fantastic addition to this wonderful series. I just love all of the characters. Each book focuses on a different shifter and his fated mate. As well as the underlying story of the Chief Pack leader Able Valent and his determination destroy the alphas of Mammoth Falls. Each story will draw you into their world. They feel like friends that you never what to say good-bye too. I had loved all of the different alpha shifters!!! But I have been looking forward to the next one since the beginning.

One thing DO NOT start this late in the evening!!! You will be enchanted with the magic of the Mammoth Falls shifters!!! I highly recommend this series. I will definitely be re-reading these books again especially when Jagger’s story is released.

Payne, book 4 of Kimber White's fabulous Mammoth Forrest Wolves series is absolutely amazing. Kimber has done an unbelievable job capturing Payne's struggle and heartache. From the beginning it was obvious that Payne had endured something more than the other Mammoth Forrest alphas. To be able to not only live through what Able Vallenti inflicted on him but to be able to come out the other side on his own and whole is paramount to a miracle. It's going to take one hellava woman to become his mate. Fate has just the one in mind for him. The trick is going to be getting her to see herself as strong enough. Lena Morris is human but has the heart of a Wolf. Payne and Lena's story touched my heart. Thank you Kimber White for having the heart to write their story. I received an ARC from the author. This is my voluntary honest review.

Overcoming adversity at any cost!

Loved this story of Payne and his mate Lena:) Lena, is Mac’s sister that they rescued from Birch Haven after she was taken and given to another wolf as a gift. Payne has been with the Mammoth Forest Wolves for the last five years trying to atone for his actions while he was the executioner for Able, the Pack Alpha. They are two broken pieces, that they realise fit together perfectly but will Lena ever allow him to mate with her after everything she’s been through? There are more mysteries unraveled as to how they can take the Alpha down and it appears Lena might hold the key!

Great read, loved the events and how they unfold and even catching up with some old favourites like Pat Bonner and the wolves from on the other side of Kentucky! I received an advance copy for my honest review which I willingly give:)

Wow, wow, and wow. This book was so great. I read it cover-to-cover and couldn't put it down. I love these Alpha wolves. I love reading their stories, their challenges, and their journey to find their mates. Payne and Lena have become one of my favorite stories. They each have known the terror and evil of Valent. Both of them have struggled to overcome all that that entails and are now victorious together. I loved that we were able to get a glimpse of the Wild Lake wolves in this book as well. The story is coming full circle. I cannot wait for the next book. I would recommend any and all of Kimber Whites novels to anyone. They can be read as standalone or in the series. You will not be disappointed. Five plus stars!

Payne, book four in the Mammoth Forest Wolves series, follows the story of Payne Fallon and Lena Morris. Payne was once an enforcer for the pack Alpha Able Valent, though now that he’s joined the resistance, he’s given a job to bring Lena, and one of his friends, over the border to Wild Lake so that Lena can stay with the other wolves in safety. The only problem is that Payne instantly begins to feel the mate connection as soon as they are close to each other. As the feelings between the pair intensify, and with a crazy Alpha hot on their trail, can Payne and Lena make it across the border in time? And what will happen between the pair when, or if, they make it?

Next story in this series.
This time about two people with a dark past, trying to fight against it, but not totally coming out from it.
They are on a mission together. On this mission Payne and Lena find out they are fated mates. Not the plan they need.
She isn't in for another alpha controlling her and he isn't claiming her, because of it.

They run into wild lakes, good to see some familiar faces there. Good old Pat.
Lena and Payne find out their love for each other doesn't make them weaker, but together they are stronger. They can even stand up against the evil chief.

Lena shows she is strong woman, stronger as she thought herself she would be.

Payne is a wolf shifter and an alpha. He is part of the mammoth forest wolves. When he is asked to go on a dangerous mission and take the sister of one of the other men in his group with him to safety. He does it.

Lena was saved from birch haven and has so many scares both mentally and physically. Her brother wants her safe so talks her into going but so much has changed on the trip.
Fate has stepped in again. Love the story, full of action, danger and spice. The characters are wonderful. I couldn't put it down and can't wait for the next book. It was as an emotion roll a coaster ride. Don't miss it shifter fans.
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

Goodness Payne has been hiding such a big secret from the other alpha's and now five years down the tract he is having so much trouble fighting his pull back to the Able Valent the Alpha of The Chief Pack they all escaped from. He was their head enforcer and he never wants to go back. Mac wants Payne to take his sister Lena out of the state to Michigan to the Wild Lake wovles so she can be protected. Their journey will be packed with danger and now Payne has the added worry as he has sensed something about Lena she is his mate. How far will he go to protect what is his and can he fight his pull to the Chief Pack. A big thank you to Kimber White for the enthralling review copy.

PAYNE

OMW I absolutely loved this book. Payne and Lena’s story is of two damaged souls coming together and giving each other hope and acceptance. It was an emotional read at times, but also intriguing and captivating, with a side of action and romance. The storyline was gripping, it drew me in from the very first page and held my attention completely until the very last word. This was definitely a favourite of the series for me. Overall a very exciting, entertaining and emotional read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

So much romance and the thrill of the chase in one book that is also filled with danger. These Kentucky shifters are fighting for their lives yet find time to find their mates. Sexy alpha men that need their mate to be strong and mighty. Payne and Lena are just that, a power duo but it’s going to take a miracle for them to let down their walls to let each other in. Great job yet again.

I received this book in advance for my honest review.

Another great book in this series. I love it when two broken people come together and make each other whole and as one. Lots of action here and Payne and Lena are put in impossible conditions and you think "how will they ever get out of this?" Great imagination this author has. On to the last in this series, can't wait!

Payne is a truly tortured wolf. I don’t know if I like this book best out of the other three due to where he comes from and the issues he has. The author did a pretty good job of writing his story and giving you a look at his past .

Looking forward to the next story in this saga.

Since the beginning of the series, I’ve been waiting for Payne’s book. Kimber White does a great job of building the suspense for each character! She also doesn’t disappoint when that character is revealed.

Both Payne and Lena are damaged by past experiences. Neither of them trust easily and prefer solitude. When they come together, they’re an explosive force that can weather any storm; including Able Valent.

Another aspect the author has been building, is the meeting of the Kentucky Rebels and the Wild Lake Pack Wolves. Absolutely amazing writing, I could feel the tension as jumped from the pages. I also enjoyed the insights into some of my favorite past characters. It’s always fun reading when updates are given.

Next in the series is Jagger; and I have a feeling that his story is going to blow our minds. I can’t wait!

Lena had been a captive of the Chief Pack for so long she was having a hard time adjusting to life in the caves of the Mammoth Forest pack. Payne was once a part of the Chief Pack until he left to form a pack with the other alpha shifters of Mammoth Forest. Payne has a mission, get Lena over the border to sanctuary with the Wild Lake wolf pack, and ask them for the weapons that will defeat the alpha of the Chief Pack. Lena and Payne both bear scars from their time with the Chief Pack, but they discover they are stronger together. Wow, fantastic and exciting plot with sexy, strong, and unique characters. I absolutely loved this book!

As you know Mac rescued her taking her underground to the cavern, she was not happy she just hated everything yet she tried to make her brother happy and smile but she wasn't in he knew it so he asked Payne to take her across the river to the Wild Lake Pack to her freedom. Lena survived Birch Haven! But would she survive Mammoth Forest Caverns?
