Did you ever wonder how the characters feel about all these variations we keep writing? No? Never? Well if you wonder now, take a quick read through this one-shot that takes you behind the metadata wall. __________________________________
“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts…” –William Shakespeare, As You Like It
This clean, one-shot chapter was a delight. It was quick, made me smile, and was so creative. We have the POV of Austen's characters as they waited… in what I would call the Green Room or in the wings… before going on stage. They wonder what they will do, what scene they will be put in, and what characterization they will assume. This was so cute and creative… a must-read for a quick pick-me-up or a good start to the day. Can be read in just a few minutes. What fun.
'live people ignore the strange and unusual". I myself am strange and unusual. Lydia Deetz Beetlejuice
I have a total weakness for little P&P stories that have the characters being aware of what the FF writers do to them. This is simply hilarious. The author has the characters relating how they dislike being portrayed and oddly I was seeing many of my criticisms - Bingley being spineless and waffling, Darcy being at total douche, and Wickham being a super villain.
This is a short super quick read that is just wonderful
This short Jane Austen inspired scene reads as the players in her novels are waiting to live out the plots that fan fiction writers make up for them. It is a sort of behind the scene of the characters themselves and is quite fun!
