Mountain Lion shifter, Trina Chapman, is having a rough year. Trying to find her legs over the loss of her Clan, she has bought a local bar and just needs to keep her focus until it can pay the bills. That would probably be easier to do if she didn’t have a rogue werewolf sniffing around and showing up in unexpected places. She knows she’s being hunted, and her first look at Kade’s inner wolf should have her running for the hills, but for some reason, the more she learns about him, the more interesting he becomes. She’d been resigned to tackle life alone, but he’s dependable in unexpected ways. And when she starts learning how thoughtful and protective and caring the bad boy outlaw werewolf really is, she starts thinking he just might be a good match for a shifter like her. That is, until she realizes she’s not the only one being hunted.
Kade is good and done with people. Newly pledged to the Blackwood Crow Clan, he’s used to doing things on his own. Independence can get a rogue shifter into big trouble quick though, and he’s fighting fires his new Clan doesn’t know about. His life revolves around three things. Keeping his step brothers safe, Changing into a monstrous wolf for days at a time…and Trina. One look at her and he’s done for, but she deserves much better than a man who can’t even keep her safe from himself. His wolf is out of control and Kade is spiraling down a path he can’t come back from. But maybe…just maybe…the girl that he loves enough to stay away from could be the key to his redemption.

(I really recommend that you start with the first book of the series before reading this one.)
‘Redemption of a wolf’ is the fourth book of this series and unlike the previous books, the main male character is not a crow shifter. No, Kade is a wolf shifter and he’s Ethan and Rike’s stepbrother. We met Kade for the first time in the previous story and there you could read that Kade’s wolf is sadly a rogue one, he is totally out of control, a beast without emotions, who’s only instinct is to kill. That makes his wolf very dangerous, something that Kade’s very conscious off. He has accepted a long time ago that he would be alone forever but then he meets Trina, a mountain lion shifter and something in her attracts him to her, time and time again. But this could be very dangerous, because his wolf still wants to kill her, just like everyone else that he loves. Can Kade keep Trina safe from his own wolf? Or not?
Trina has known lost, losing her clan has made her very careful with connecting to other people but there is something special about Kade. Something that attracts her to him and not even his crazy, deadly wolf can keep her from getting closer to him. She only hopes that in the end, she can convince his wolf to give her a chance too.
This story was again a very pleasurable read. The main characters were strong but also vulnerable in their own way. I loved the chemistry and the banter between them. The connection between Kade and Trina was fun and emotional Again you got both POV’s in the story. It was lovely to see the characters from the previous books again and to see how there were doing.
I enjoyed the four books in the ‘Red Dead Mayhem’ series very much. It’s a great and funny paranormal series.
I'm a day behind on putting the reviews up because my impatient ass can't wait to read the next!.
Kade and Trina's story is one to remember. One of strength and courage. Neither has had it easy leaving them with a pretty jaded outlook on life. I found myself really intrigued by their complex characters.
Trina is hard faced and sick of the shit life keeps thowing her way. To make matters worse being stuck in heat with zero satisfaction and a bunch of dogs sniffing around makes for a very grumpy lady. She's strong despite the hardships she's faced. I loved getting to see that softer side to her character, I'm all for a strong feisty heroine but that softer side made her more approachable/relatable.
Kade .. crazy psycho sweet in his own special way!. He's the ghost getting shit done without being seen. His intentions were mostly in the right place however his actions are sometimes questionable but who cares cause lord that man is all kind of deliciousness. And even with all of his stalkerish murdery tendencies he had this sweet side with Trina that shocked the shit out of everyone.
As a couple I loved them. They truly brought out the best in eachother. The Chemistry, the connection everything was fitting to them and made their characters all the more lovable. It's a crazy world with a whole slew of crazy characters to boot!. It's one big dysfunctional family getting up to all kinds of crazy outrageous shenanigans. The banter, bickering, hilarious moments and even the sweet!.
T.S Joyce as always gives me life with her sassy quirk filled pn romance stories and just when I think I can't possibly love another series like the last.. I somehow manage to and in some cases love it more!. Now onto Novak Grizzly!!!!! So fucking stoked to be back in Damon's Mountains!!!.
When I realized this book was about Kane I was intrigued. He came out of no where in the last book, yet was important to the Crows. Kane was also super scary, which brought another dimension to things.
I really loved how this one opened, loved the interaction between Trina and Kane. I thought it was funny how they were interested in each other, but not once they learned certain things and told each other.
I really loved how Trina accepted Kane's brand of crazy, heck she even liked his wolf. This was important because towards the end Kane needed someone in his corner, someone who thought he was good/safe.
The ending had me laughing, loved the battle, loved how the boys got caught sneaking out and the women didn't let them and loved how Trina claimed the area for all the clans that were good.
I absolutely loved this series. I've been here sin e the beginning through each and every one of these books. I have them all on e-book and paperback. That's how good these books are y'all. This is Kade and Trina's story. Kade is a wolf shifter who is a beast. All his wolf want to do is kill. Kade can't have fragile things because of his wolf. Trina is a mountain lion shifter. She's been through the death of her clan the lose of her momma and she's still standing strong. When she meets Kade she knows he's a lose canon but with the right kinda girl he can be saved. Or so she hopes. When the local wolf clan decides to kill Kade well all heck will break lose. Can Trina save Kade and tame his monster? Will Kade's wolf prove to much and have to be put down? Will these two broken misfits be able to save each other?
This storyline had great potential, but as with all of TS's books as of late.. THERE'S NO SUBSTANCE. This author has clearly gotten greedy and has relied too heavily on the devotion of her readers. These shouldn't even be considered novellas. These stories couldn't even be a couple chapters in a book if you combined the whole series into one. No character development, no plot development, it's basically a 'wham bam, thank you for your money ma'am'. With a story this short and lacking, you'd figure the spelling and grammar would be on point. However, she couldn't even manage that. Disgusting.
Trina Chapman, a member of the New Darby Clan was a Mountain Lion shifter who hasn't been having the best year. She owned the local and all she wanted to do was run her business and pay her bills.
She was yearning for what her friends had.....a mate. She never thought it would happen so she was okay being alone, that was until she met a rogue wolf that kept coming around.
Kade , step-brother to Ethan (FOR THE PRIDE OF A CROW) and Rike (FOR THE BLOOD OF A CROW) Blackwood. A wolf shifter who had a beast living inside of him. He was close to becoming feral.
He has been looking after his step brothers for years and now he was a part of his brother Ethan's new clan, the Blackwood Crow Clan. He also turned his sister-in-law Leah after she was severely injured thanks to the former Blackwood Crow's ghost.
He never imagined nor thought about finding his mate until he laid his eyes on the beautiful bar owner, Trina Chapman. He knew she was his even though his beast had other plans. But they were being hunted by the Wulfe Clan. The latter had been making threats against Red Dead Mayhem.
He was very protective of his brothers and their mates. As Trina and Kade got to know each other better, they realized that they were noth similar. He tried to push her away to keep her safe but she wouldn't let him. She found for man, beast and what they could have.
When Kade found himself in danger, Trina let her monster out and gave the foe a lesson he would never forget. She had help from her clan, the Two Claws Clan, the Red Dead Mayhem Clan and the Blackwood Crow Clan.
I've been waiting for Trina to get her HEA ever since she helped the Two Claws Clan in the Outlaw Shifters series. She was the only one in the new blended clan without a mate and it tugged at my heartstrings. Loved how protective of Kade she was and vice versa.
The bond between Ethan, Rike and Kade put a smile on my face, liked their banter.
REDEMPTION OF A WOLF is the fourth and finale installment in T. S. Joyce's RED DEAD MAYHEM series. It was emotional, captivating, fascinating and alluring.
P. S. Looking forward to what comes next from T. S. Joyce! ;)
AHHHH!!! My heart is so happy right now!!! This was the perfect ending to such a great series!!!! My emotions were all over the place Friday night as I devoured the book in one sitting, but I could not put this book down. T. S. Joyce captivated by heart and soul.
Where to start with this book... Lord Mercy. I am still in shock at how it ended. I got to see all my favorites for like the last what 7 - 8 books in this bad boy. I was like a kid at Christmas as I read along. Seriously, I wanted to jump into the story and gab with all the characters about how their lives were going. It was perfect!
Can I just say that I squealed when I realized Kade was hitting on our girl Trina! It was like bring all the books home!
Trina Chapman the bada$$ Lion shifter and Kade the wolf shifter the annihilates everything in his path are the best pair in a long time. The hatred for the other being a shifter when these two met had me rolling. I loved the banter these two had going on. I was wiping tears left and right.
Trina needed someone strong and steady and Kade needed someone who would not back down from his beast. Watching them realized that they were meant to be a couple and could be a great couple was a beautiful thing.
The ending of this book gets 10 stars even though I can only rate it 5 stars. It was that good.
The teaser for the next series had me bouncing on the couch like a child. IS it September yet?!
Lions, wolves, crows, and bears Oh My!!! T. S. Joyce has done it again!! This is Trina and Kade's story and oh what an adventure. Kade is fighting demons within himself as well as around him and Trina just doesn't know if she will ever truly belong anywhere. She knows he's dangerous but she cannot just walk away. He knows that he is a danger to her but can he stay away? Will each of them find what they need to feel whole? Oh and then there's Darius to add to the mix. How can anything ever work out? Dive into this action , adventurous story and find the answers. This is a fantastic story that had me hooked from the first line to the end. I laughed, I cried and I got angry right along with the characters it was definitely another five star story by a phenomenal author. Way to go Alpha on yet another perfect story!!
Jesus women you sure can write a book. Now you've written great books time and time again, but sometimes you write a book so good that it stays with you as a all time favorite, first it was willa's story, then beasten, and now this gem. I laughed so freaking hard reading this book, I'm glad the old ball and chain wasn't home as I was rolling around in my bed screaming with laughter. This book was just perfect and I'm glad that you haven't stopped writing such amazing stories. I'm glad to see the magic won't be ending anytime soon, I don't think I could live without you're quirky hilariously funny and emotionally amazing shifter books.
Trina and Kade both had a hard past but they have amazing chemistry that makes hem a perfect match. With the threat of the local wolf clan trying to take over the lands, they have more then Kades wolfs issues to deal with.
I love their story. I love all of this authors stories and I can’t wait to read more from her. Trina and Kade are hot, fun, and match each other perfectly. She’s his monsters light when the dark is too strong.
Holy hell i swear this book was you as the character or a similar version... i love trina and kade . You ended this series with a bang like always !!!! Modge podge mondays were my favorite and no donuts because no pants😂!!!!
This series was so damn fantastic! I cried, then I laughed really really hard. I re-read pages cause I couldnt resist the comedic interactions regarding shifter nudity and I needed the book to last longer. Can't WAIT for the next book!!!!
T.S has done it again in this Amazing book. I hope in time we will get a look into the kids and how they all ended up. But till then I'll read anything this Amazing woman puts out to read. Because from page one I'm hooked and can't put the book down till the end.
I loved this book just as I have everything she has written! And I am SUPER excited for next month! I can’t believe we’re going back to Damon’s mountains!
"he was Kade. He was the wolf. He was the woods, the Stars, the moon, a hurricane. And there was something so addictive about holding the attention of a hurricane."
"You saw me riding it?" "Oh , yeah. I watch you all the time. I'm a stalker like that."
I am truly at a loss for words right now, except for what a stunning way to bring the Red Dead Mayhem series (and in a way the connecting series Outlaw Shifters) to a close. I mean, I’m just sitting here staring at the screen trying to figure out what I could possibly say beyond – amazing freakin’ job. I loved this wrap-up to everything we’ve encountered with these shifters of many Clans, and Redemption of a Wolf was simply the sexy, intense icing on the cake to bring everything full circle and to an ending that brought a few tears.
Stories with the intensity of plot, character development and actual emotional attachment like Redemption of a Wolf are the driving reason why I read Shifter Romance.
Kade and Trina just work together. Yes, his wolf is an out of control beast, and her cat is strong from the difficulties of life that she’s faced – together, they are a force to be reckoned with. Trina sees him, she really sees the man and the wolf – and neither is crazy and both are worth saving.
We get to see just about everyone, or a mention of or a glimpse of at least, that we’ve met in both the Outlaw Shifters and the Red Dead Mayhem series. It’s touches like that, the wrapping up of loose ends, the showing of the relationships and the communities she creates that keep me coming back for more stories from T. S. Joyce constantly.
I don’t have words to tell you what an amazing, satisfying story Redemption of a Wolf is. I’m just going to hope that if you’ve read the rest of this series that you’ll figure that out when you pick this one up. If you haven’t discovered this series yet, I would highly recommend it – you’ll be amazed and become addicted to these crazy, out of control, sexy, intense shifters.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
FYI, this series is technically a spin-off of the Outlaw Shifters series. I read this independently of the Outlaw books and did not mind being introduced to the "old" characters from this perspective. But if that is something that would bother you, I recommend starting with For the Love of an Outlaw.
These are short and fun shifter romance series. Bad guy/good girl dynamic between the hero and heroine. I found the series to be low angst and have moderate plots. The books do not have MC culture, illegal activity, or problematic content that can be seen in MC books.
For as long as he can remember, Kane barely has control of his wolf and barely is being generous. He has been a Lone Wolf for too long and the lack of community has his wolf drooling for a fight or a kill at every turn. Until he comes across Tina, a local bar owner that just had her world turned upside down. Kane is ready to run far away from this shifter to protect her, but just can't help keeping an eye on her.* Tina isn't the person to sit back until Kane is ready to open up to her, she is going to make this Lone Wolf realize the people who care about him are not going away.
*Kane does exhibit some stalker-like behavior. It comes from a place of protection and Tina is completely on board the entire time. She wants more of a relationship and views this as hope for a future where he can view himself as worthy of her. However, if you are sensitive toward stalking, you might not feel this way, so use your judgement.
This installment of the series follows kade (the step brother to rike and Ethan ) and trin a rare mountain lion shifter . Kade has been a lone wolf for too long and consequently is a little psycho . But finding his mate has the potential to fix all of that . Trin has lost too many people she cares about and doesn’t trust easily - but there’s just something about jade she can’t stay away from .
While I really enjoyed this book and this series there are a few things that were left as loose ends and that I’m not sure what to make of . In book 1 someone bugged the club house and they vowed to find who did it and make them pay for exposing the shifter communities . But it gets mentioned one other time in book 2 and the never again !?
Also the interviews happen in book two and quite a big deal is made of them BUT nothing more eventuated and at first the humans reacted but then just .. nothing . I feel like this series was meant to be more focused smaller plots within a larger plot line but that plot line just disappeared … Upon reflection I’m wondering if all of these authors books are meant to be part of that larger plot line and you need to switch series in order to understand and continue on and or get a better back story but I feel that is not well explained AT ALL. And should be !!
This was a good wrap up of this entire line of series. We a actually got some action this time. It was still rushed, but not as bad as the last couple were. I think my main issue with this one was the entire lack of Kades ability in the storyline. It was a pretty big part of the past story, but we only got him seeing an unimportant line of her thought once and that was it. It really felt like such a missed opportunity. I was just expecting so much more from Kades story. I was glad to see he got with Trina, but I could have sworn that character was a beaten down why and quiet girl early in the series. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I don't think so.
I do like that the author us returning to Damon's Mountain, which were my very favorite of her series. I was never crazy about the stories of the kids that left Damon's Mountain. That never made sense to me. Why leave a place with such deep ties and family and friends that have your back? Anyway, glad to see they all didn't leave and we will get their stories. I always loved the way they had their quirks and partied and bonded together. Just something that has been missing from further books. So yeah really looking forward to that.
T.S. Joyce is one of the author's I discovered via Kindle Unlimited. I have read all of her books. She has several series and some of them overlap characters. I love when I can delve into a book and am already familiar with the characters because I met them in a prior book. Joyce mostly writes paranormal romance with a focus on shifters but she has written a couple of books with vampires.
Redemption of a Wolf is the 4th and final book in the Red Dead Mayhem series. Trina Champman, who is a a mountain lion shifter, was a character in the series written prior to this series. Her mountain lion clan had declared war on the local grizzly bear clan and lost; Trina, her father, and one other member are the sole survivors. Trina is attempting to find her place in the community and rebuild her life when along comes Kade. Kade was a rogue wolf shifter who recently joined a clan with his half brother. Rogue shifters generally go mad when left to their own devices and Kade is not that far off. Trina is Kade's mate. Can Kade convince Trina to stay away so his messed up life doesn't pull Trina down?
Cover Design - 3.5 The cover is visually appealing.
Grammar - 4.0 There were a few grammatical issues but very well written. T.S. Joyce has a very good editing staff.
Plot - 4 I read this book in one sitting. I feel like the series was leading up to this point and the final battle scene was anticipated.
Believability - 3 I don't generally read T.S. Joyce's books for their believability factor. They are fantasy and as such I take the story lines with that mind set and read them for what they are meant to be: an escape.
Ending - 4 I feel that there was good closure to this series. Joyce also gave the reader's a clue about her next series and it looks like we are heading back to Damien's mountain.
Price Value - 4 I get T.S. Joyce's books for "free" through Kindle Unlimited and you can't beat that but the price of her books tend to be 99 cents and are well worth cost.
Overall - 4.5 I enjoyed this book and this series.
This is the forth book in this series. They are better read in order but can be read as a standalone. I was so excited to get to read Kade’s story. Kade’s wolf is a beast. He changes for days and doesn’t have control over it. Trina is mountain lion shifter trying to move on and find her place. There is just something about Kade. She knows he is sick and she should be scared but she isn’t. Kade wants to stay away from Trina. She deserves better than him and his messed-up wolf. But she is also good for him. She makes him want to be better and gives him hope that he could be better. I absolutely loved this book. Kade and Trina as awesome characters. They help heal each other. Kade hasn’t had an easy life. Trina hasn’t either no shifter really does. But Kade is different. He wants to belong and but doesn’t really know how to. I highly recommend this book and the series. Really, I love and recommend all of T.S. Joyce’s books. Congrats on another fantastic book T.S. Joyce. I can’t wait for the next book.

She was yearning for a mate. She never thought it would happen so she was okay being alone, that was until she met a rogue wolf name Kade that kept coming around.

Kade is interested in Trina but he felt like he was not tame enough to have her as a mate. Their is a lot of gang fighting. Kade becomes victim to a vicious attack where he takes a bullet. Trina sees the good within kade wolf and falls for him. She will do anything to help Kade as he does everything to protect her.
I had a hard time connecting to the Outlaw series that serves as the introduction to the Red Dead Mayhem series. It was darker and more serious than most of Ms. Joyce’s earlier series. I did, however, enjoy Red Dead Mayhem, though this and the first book are distinctly my favourite instalments. Both Fiona and Trina are fantastic characters and I found both Ramsey and Kade to have greater depth and complexity to the characters in a way that I found sympathetic.
Kade, the mmc of this book, feeling like an outsider and struggling to find his place in the world is more interesting and relatable than characters like Trigger, who have everything going for them, but just keep making poor decisions regardless. I don’t particularly enjoy stories where an adult man isn’t able to take care of himself, so a woman has to give up her entire life to coddle him like a baby. Trina likes Kade just as he is and he likes her in spite of himself and together they find a measure of happiness that they didn’t think they deserved.
I had eagerly anticipated Trina and Kade story once I met the characters. No I didn’t expect them getting together. I am happy the did so. I did enjoy their story but... Okay I did feel a little let down on some parts, one I really didn’t buy the reasons for his being a “killer and mad”. He had his Dad, his love and sacrifice of his leaving to be a better example of a father. As well as his great stepmother who loved him. It’s not like he was a teenager. Would have bought story if he was a police officer or some protective type instead. Even a hacker. Now Trina leaving her bar that was barely in black? Not bought. If she had staff I could understand but even with mate hurt she would have protected her property. Now I maybe in minority but I WANT TO KNOW what children the couples all have and what happens with the shifter coming out? How about a shifter mixer for humans that want a mate?
I haven't disliked a TS Joyce in a long ass time. There's been a few that have been misses for me and this was sadly one of them.
I knew going in I'd have a hard time with Trina as a heroine but I figured TS could make me like Ramsey after all the shit he pulled she could change my mind about Trina.
At the very end I was ok with her -kinda- I guess but not like brimming with happy tears and excitement for the HEA like I usually am.
I think had we been given some background as to why Trina was such an epic skanky bitch for like 7 books I'd have been swayed but there wasn't really anything there.
Kade was adorable though! I wished he'd have had a heroine like Leah or Karis or V you know? Sadly Trina was another Bailey. Ah well.
However: We're going back to Damon's mountains! YES!!!
Loved redemption of a wolf! TS Joyce is just an amazing author and always seems to put a fantastic story together with some of our old favourite characters but also pulls emotion from you while reading:) Kade has a broken wolf, who is all about the bloodlust. But when he meets Trina at a motorcycle shop where she is looking to purchase her first Harley they are drawn to each other, although that could be her pheromones since she’s in heat! Trina has lived with broken bonds from a Clan that made bad decisions but she can’t stop thinking about the crazy wolf, Kade!
Loved the ending and yes I know Ms Joyce is heading back to Damon mountains which I’m super excited about! But could we perhaps have a Christmas novella with this lot to find out more about Trina and Kade and their HEA please.....I’m good with begging!
