Ten years ago, the Four Kings killed my friend.
I’m not going to kill them.
I’m going to make every single one of them pay.
Make them pray for death, and take everything they’ve ever loved.
This is not revenge. This is justice.
Plain and simple.

It's been ten years and the girl he once knew is back, working for the Four Kings as their PA. He'll keep an eye on Taylor, and he certainly won’t let anyone else touch her.

When Taylor had to pull her best friend’s dead body out of the lake, it changed her life forever. Discovering a diary, she uncovered a secret relationship with one of the four kings. The four most powerful families in town. No one goes up against them without losing everything they hold dear. Something happened between her friend and one of them, and she’s going to find out what. She'll bring them down and make sure they stay down.

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

This is a case of "it's me,not you Babe"...
Sam Crescent is usually a good read for me,and I really wanted to like this book, but it just did not work for me.
Also the heroine lost her v card, her ass card,&* her penis polishing card ,and I recon every other card to her paid escort yep, that's the way to do it!!!!why not just pay some escort to rid yourself of your pesky v status.
As I said,it's me......and I picked this one to start my reentry into reading again!

Safe and hero liked the heroine in high school but didn’t pursue her because of what his father would have done to her. He wasn’t celibate during the separation and neither was she BUT when they met again it had been a while since he was with anyone - same for her.

Heroine annoyed me some as she had the whole betraying body thing going on but he Hero was head over heals for her from the beginning so it kind of made up for it.

Story over all was ok and I liked the characters well enough.

Wow this book was the best by sam I was so invested in the history couldn't put it down. 😍😎

I will not say much because it is better to read without knowing too much.

safety: no cheating. no sex w/op no ow/om drama, h has had sex in the past with a friend who is escort and teaches her how to seduce for her revenge this is all off page.
there is a scene where the h and H had sex in front of the other three kings but they don't participate

Sam Crescent has been trying out longer novels, and I have to say I am so freaking glad for this. I love her books and this one, different from her norm but so good.

Taylor and Cassie were best friends, they did everything together. But Cassie has been secretive lately, but she will tell Taylor tonight, she promised. But things didn’t happen like she thought it would. Cassie was dead, killed herself, or that’s what they want people to think. But Taylor knows the truth, something happened and she knows that it has something to do with the Four Kings and not matter what happens she is going to find out what happened to her Best Friend. She is going to take down the Four Kings Empire, and nothing is going to stand in her way.

This book will have you hooked from the first page, I finished it in one night. It was filled with Angst, heartbreak, action, conspiracies, murder, sex and money. What more could you need from a good book. I definitely can’t wait for the next one in this series. Awesome Read

Different for this author.....in a really good way!

Wow! I really enjoyed this story. This is different than I’ve read from her before. This book was very engaging and thought provoking. It kept me wanting to turn the next page to see what’s next. Lots of mystery and great story telling. Axton and Taylor were hard to like a lot of the time. They were both wrong and did things that were questionable to make things right. I look forward to the next in this series.

This is the first book in the Four Kings Empire series by Sam Crescent. This book reminded me of the start of the American Gods series by R. Scarlett, both books I loved. The story starts out ten years prior in the town of King’s Ridge. The town is controlled by four rich, powerful families, and their sons are known as the Four Kings. Axton Farris, Karson Cross, Romeo Delacorte, and Easton Long make up the Four Kings and no one in town is dumb enough to mess with them. Every girl at King’s Ridge High School wants to hook up with one of the Kings except for Taylor Keane. She doesn’t understand the fascination everyone has with the four boys including her best friend, Carla. There’s a lake in town where all the teens gather to party and Taylor reluctantly goes there to meet Carla. Taylor is worried because Carla has been acting strange lately and she asked to meet her at the lake and she would explain what was going on. That night changed Taylor’s life forever when she found Carla dead, floating in the freezing lake. Carla’s death is ruled a suicide but Taylor knows her best friend would never do that. She locates Carla’s hidden diary and finds out her best friend was in love with one of the Four Kings and pregnant with his baby. Taylor spends the next ten years plotting her revenge determined to destroy the Four Kings Empire and all four of the men who control it. I was worried when I first started reading this that it was gonna be M/M/M/F but then I saw a review where someone else thought the same thing and confirmed it wasn’t. I loved Axton and I actually felt bad for the fucked up childhood he had and how all the responsibility was dumped on him. Taylor was kinda OTT with her plan for revenge and the depths she went to try and achieve it. She became so focused on vengeance that she completely shut herself off and became almost like a robot. Taylor starts working at Four Kings Empire as the Personal Assistant to all four men and she quickly realizes things aren’t always what they seem to be.

AXTON is a romantic suspense novella about a woman who trained for ten years, to bring Four Kings down to avenge the death of her best friend, and the leader of the group, who has intensely fallen in love with her. This book was so good!!! I was hooked on the plot, and Axton was such sexy alphamale, especially when it came to Taylor . I couldn't put this book down and I honestly want to read it again soon. This was a winner, and I can't wait to read the rest of this book in this series!

OMG, this book blows my mind because i did not expect to love this story so much. Along with book Betrayal this the best work from the author from the books i read. I think she should stick with longer books. Axton is 270 page so you have enough space for a story and characters development. Tylor and Axton captived me from the first page i really coudn' t stop reading i wanted to know what happens next.

In the begging of the book i was scared this will be F/MMM type of a story, i just simple don ' t read those type of books and i was scared to start reading and connect with the h and H and then get a big disappointment,so i ask the author and she said it's safe book only M/F and i was so relieved . Tylor and Axton is about people who made wrongs things in order to make everything right. This story is about revenge, about forgiveness, about changing yourself but in the middle is the epic love between Axton and Tylor. I loved Axton, he is such an alpha and possessive hero, he loved her for years, everything he did is to protect her.

I've read so many books by this author in the past and while I have enjoyed them, I was getting a little bored. Now she has started writing longer stories and they are awesome. I love that with the longer stories, we can get more details about all the characters and what has happened to them to make them the way they are! This was a great book about love, loss, hate, revenge, forgiveness and I found I couldn't put it down. I seriously hope that Sam Crescent is starting a trend of writing these longer books because they are great!!!

PHENOMENAL

She does it again, I am truly loving these longer books by Sam Crescent, Yes she is my favorite author but I also call out a bad one when I see it. This happily isn't it's a PHENOMENAL READ. Go in blind there is a few twists and turns, which all begins with the death of Carla, what takes place is a whiplash of back and forth from present to past, but usually I don't like them but this flows so effortlessly between the two and is also necessary for the book. We have The Four Kings spoiled little rich boys or so you think but delve lower and their armor and shiny castles aren't made of gold but nickel and rusty floors with walls built on lies and deceit. Taylor out for revenge her path is set on one cold and horrid night, We have Axton, Easton, Romeo and Karson, what a web of intrigue, My advice go in blind. Fabulous read MORE PLEASE Sam Crescent

Sam Crescent is an automatic buy for me. I absolutely loved this new genre of book that she wrote with Axton. It had some real meat to it. A true mystery story along with the steam we expect from Sam Crescent.
Taylor’s need to find out the truth of her friend’s death brings her into direct contact with Axton, one of the Four Kings who she suspects were involved in the death. Things get complicated when she finds herself falling for the person she thinks might have been involved in killing her best friend.
Great storyline and I liked the length of this book too, as well as the moving back and forth from present time to ten years earlier. Overall just a great read *****

Badly written. There are so many problems that make this awful to read through. The vocabulary is very poor, with incorrect words used and poor punctuation that breaks the sentences up so that they don't even make sense and honestly, even forgetting about the bad punctuation, this does not make sense. There are typos like her when it should say he and mixing up of characters names etc.

The conversations and internal monologues were long and rambling and some of them made me cringe. Like the fluffy ones between Taylor and Ax at the end. It was difficult to follow conversions at times because the author did not identify the speaker. The writing is very muddled and both the plot and characters don't have any depth. This is not a good book, not enjoyable.

This part is a bit of a spoiler don't read if you want to read the book-

I don't understand how Taylor could forgive Paul once she found out what he knew, especially after what she sacrificed for 10years, to try to find out the truth that he already knew. Or how and why he would keep it from her.

It was really Really annoying that Taylor apologised to Ax about lying to him, when he lied to her too, by covering up her friends murder and letting the guys fathers all get away with what they did, even if the sons took away their company so what!! They killed a girl and loosing the company is not enough!!! She should not be apologising for being the only one to try to bring them to justice.

Although I liked the friendship between Carla and Taylor and I liked that Taylor was a strong female, she became annoying when she finally found out the truth. Anyway, like I said it is badly written, a messy read, with no real character depth and no

OMG!!!😳 Sam Crescent!!! You did it again and this time you totally blew it outta the water Axton is by far the BEST book you have written out of all your books I've read. I was blown away by the suspense the secrets lies and deceit and let's not forget the 🔥 🔥 🔥 HOT SEX SCENES!!! 😳💯😍. Axton and Taylor were meant for each other no matter the odds stacked against them they pulled through every test and trial and came out on top. Well done Sam on this awesome book you've brought us as your readers💖😘

What's next for the Four Kings Empire?? Will they all succeed and remain on top and surpass all trials and tribulations? Let's hope so 😍

Wow, just wow. Axton is unlike any other book by Sam. It has a depth that I found so damn interesting. I was pulled in from the very beginning. It is an emotional story of heartbreak, revenge and how long can overcome all of it.

Fantastic story of revenge, Taylor is the kind of best friend we all need in our lives

Wow! This was a great book for me. Fantastic tale of revenge. Taylor had an Axton to grind on. I mean an axe to grind with Axton. Ten years ago Taylor's best friend died under mysterious circumstances, now she finally had an opportunity to get inside the four kings, um, kingdom *shrugs* Just go with it, and take em down, or out, like get revenge-.GIRL CODE! The things she did and went through did in fact blow my mind. The story was so well written i was emotionally entrenched and actually found myself crying, it was weird for me to do. But great! Honestly the characters really.are.complex and I felt both Axton and Taylor had layers. Like onions, oh onions, that's why i cried right? Anyways, it was also dead sexy,.This is not a.tear.jerker novel. It's a dark romance. And very well done. I don't think this author is known for dark romance? I've read her MC novels and this is nothing like that series. I think some people may be freaked out by some of Taylor's decisions. This is not a book where I can put myself in the characters shoes so to speak. I just sat back, read and enjoyed the wild.ride.

I found the whole thing fascinating and somewhat sad, including her hiring an escort to take her virginity.

Taylor lost her friend in high school to an apparent suicide though she never believed it. She found her dairy and knew without a doubt that her friend was murdered she just had to prove it. She Set out to find the proof bringing her to Axton's Company she had worked her adult years to get the education and the experience to get herself hired into their would. Little did she know she would fall for Axton this making even that much harder to carry her plans through but she was determined. Once the truth comes out she is shocked to her core to realize she can't go through with hurting them, they were just scared teens when all this went down. So she returns everything to Axton letting him know she couldn't go through with it and asking his forgiveness not expecting to get it. But sometimes things don't go according to plan,

Everyone thought the four kings life was perfect that they had everything but what everyone thought wasn't the truth nothing about these four friends was normal.

I really enjoyed this book it was a page-turner and super gripping. I loved the characters even the guys when they were being idiots but most of all I loved Taylor she is such a strong character and a fighter.

I loved Sam's plot. I admired the maturity of a teenager doing the right thing to protect the person(the heroine ) he admired, loved for so long. I also loved the heroine 's search for the truth. I found both characters to be very strong. This is a story of what friendship is all about. I really enjoyed the book.
