There have been many imitators, but only Jackie Collins can tell you what really goes on in the fastest lane of all. From Beverly Hills bedrooms to a raunchy prowl along the streets of Hollywood; from glittering rock parties and concerts to stretch limos and the mansions of power brokers-Jackie Collins chronicles the real truth from the inside looking out.

Jackie Collins has been called a "raunchy moralist" by the late director Louis Malle and "Hollywood's own Marcel Proust" by Vanity Fair magazine. With over 500 million copies of her books sold in more than forty countries, and with some 30 New York Times bestsellers to her credit, Jackie Collins is one of the world's top-selling novelists. She is known for giving her readers an unrivalled insider's knowledge of Hollywood and the glamorous lives and loves of the rich, famous, and infamous. "I write about real people in disguise," she says. "If anything, my characters are toned down-the truth is much more bizarre."

Jackie Collins died of breast cancer Saturday, September 19, 2015. Jackie Collins, who had kept her illness secret, said recently that she believed in an afterlife, that she had no regrets and that she had emulated Frank Sinatra in that “I did it my way.”

The story unfolds, this book, from the beginning to end was a total page turner, could not put it down.

Kristen kept me interested, hoping she was not the next victim .
But with guts and bravery, she was strong 💪🏾 enough to get rid of Mr X ( l was surprised 😱 when he revealed ).
Kristen was a true fighter. The way she was portrayed in the book, made her seem real.
There was no way that you could 👩‍⚖️ judge her for her career, a girl has to do, what a girl has to do.
She didn’t let it get personal, and what a great ending for Kristen, 😃 happy for her.

And and we find out WHO MURDERED SALLI !
What a surprise!

This book 📖 series was very well written, you will definitely will not be disappointed, this is classic Jackie Collins.
Sleaze Bags, playboys, glamorous woman 👩🏼, jealous wives, murder and scandal, what else do you need a book.

Love 💓 You Jackie Collins !

Well... That's over.... I was kind of hoping for some sort of magical plot twist or something. I was happy to discover that for once I was completely wrong about who the killer was, so yay for that. Either I'm losing my touch or some actual intrigue was employed. Honestly I haven't read about such two dimensional and not-really-believable characters since Fifty Shades of Grey. Although that said, the whole Fifty Shades phenomenon makes more sense to me now than it did before. I guess this is jut the kind of writing that a lot of folks prefer. I just didn't feel like there was any depth to it at all. I get to read my new Lev Grossman novel now though. I'm actually salivating at the thought.

Last part lagged the fast pace story which earlier three had. This talked more about borinh bullshit out of nowhere about officer tucci and his fuckin wife Faye. Bo decan dropped out of the blue with his ass of a wife and some cooked up story on how they were responsible for Salli's murder.

I mean fuck this shit, Collins was rolling in the mini series for the first three parts but literally shit her bed in climax. This could have been much better.

Anyway, being a good reader i know when to pay respect and when to skim chapters. Adios

Book 1 was confusing...too many characters introduced in such a short book with small story line for each. Book 2 was more interesting but still a bit dull for this author. Book 3 and 4 were good, more of the stories and characters made sense. Overall, this series was not as great as some of the authors other titles.

3.5 stars. I'm not sure why I ended up rating this lower than the other three books in the series. Part of it may be that I did not feel satisfied by how everything wrapped up. The identities of Mr X and of the murderer was logical, but I thought the manner of the reveals was anticlimactic. Still, in all, the series was good escapist fiction.

A gripping climax and finale of the L.A. Connections serial. I really enjoyed this and everything tired together nicely. It was action-packed, lusty and filled with a lot more murder than Jackie usually puts in her books.

The ending was just horrible. The plot twists made zero sense and everyone’s ending was super rushed. So many people died for no reason and “fell in lust.” Overall this series was… a time. I had a time with it. Wouldn’t recommend but also I mean I read it and I read it quickly so.

Captivating and mysterious enough but i believe it would be better if I'd read the earlier parts, as it is the last part of the quad Power, Obsession, murder and Revenge.

Really enjoyed this series of short books a good escape from reality diving into the glitz and glamor of Hollywood. I didn’t guess who the killer was either which is always better.

Kristin has been kidnapped - but Mr X has picked the wrong blonde to mess with this time.

The truth behind Salli's death finally comes out, and I certainly hadn't figured out the culprit - there were so many possibilities!

Car crashes, bike crashes, and falls off cliffs brings the body toll for this series up to seven. Eight if you count Kristin's poor sister.

And they (mostly) lived happily ever after - and not with the people I was expecting. I liked the ending, actually. The main characters - at least the sympathetic ones - don't get rescued by love, instead they get their shit together on their own. Cool.

I read these four in one night, because while they were undeniably trashy and kind of awful, they were also quite enthralling. I can understand why I accumulated so many Jackie Collins books - they're perfect sunbathing reads. (I can't quite understand why I held into them for so long, since this lot will certainly be out of my mind by tomorrow - but hey ho.)

I was surprised by such a short book.

I completed this book within a day and it was good for a short read, the characters where quite interesting, the story was fairly good and I liked the way that the different characters stories all intermingled with each other.

Overall this wasn't the best book, but if you just want a quick and easy read then this may be a good option. A lot of characters are introduced all at once but it is fairly easy to keep up with.

The less said the better about the book. If you have time on your hands, go for it. The author seems to have written it in a hurry. With 133 pages, it is the shortest of her books. The plus point is there are no sex sequences !
