The seductively beautiful, street-smart, and powerful Lucky Santangelo… star of four of Jackie Collins’s previous international number-one bestsellers — Chances, Lucky, Lady Boss, and Vendetta: Lucky’s Revenge — returns in Dangerous Kiss.
In Chances, Lucky grew up in a top crime family; in Lucky, she was married three times; in Lady Boss, she took on Hollywood and bought Panther Studios; and in Vendetta, she fought off a lifelong enemy to keep the studio, and her husband.
Now, in Dangerous Kiss, when a member of her family is brutally gunned down in a random holdup, her fury knows no bounds. While she is tracking the killer, her relationship with her husband, charismatic writer and director Lennie Golden, is put to the test. Then, suddenly, into her life comes a man from her past — a man with a dangerous kiss.
Dangerous Kiss is a story of raw anger, love, lust, murder, and revenge, and at its white-hot center is Lucky Santangelo, a strong, exciting woman who dares to take chances — and always wins.
There have been many imitators, but only Jackie Collins can tell you what really goes on in the fastest lane of all. From Beverly Hills bedrooms to a raunchy prowl along the streets of Hollywood; from glittering rock parties and concerts to stretch limos and the mansions of power brokers-Jackie Collins chronicles the real truth from the inside looking out.
Jackie Collins has been called a "raunchy moralist" by the late director Louis Malle and "Hollywood's own Marcel Proust" by Vanity Fair magazine. With over 500 million copies of her books sold in more than forty countries, and with some 30 New York Times bestsellers to her credit, Jackie Collins is one of the world's top-selling novelists. She is known for giving her readers an unrivalled insider's knowledge of Hollywood and the glamorous lives and loves of the rich, famous, and infamous. "I write about real people in disguise," she says. "If anything, my characters are toned down-the truth is much more bizarre."
Now this series is starting to drag. I am seeing the discrepancies of the characters, they don't seem to age at the same rate. And it seems like everyone is getting WHINEY!!!
The carjacking sucked and poor Steven. The two teens that did the carjacking, their story could have been a bit shorter. And little Leonardo an Claudia. When Lennie was held captive they eluded but never actually said they had sex. Was it right? Who knows with the whole being held captive situation. He really should have just told Lucky. And what about Lucky? She should have told Lennie. She really believed he was dead after all.
Poor Brigette, she needs to trust her gut, when she doesn't she gets in trouble. I hate the whole situation with her and Carlo. I really think she needs to go live near Lucky and not leave.
Did Venus and Cooper end? Last I heard everyone was at their anniversary party and they were happy. There was talk of Billy on her new movie and then in the next book her and Billy have been together for a while b/c she caught Cooper with her stand in…
Maybe not as good as the other Santangelo novels that I've read, but still a fast and awesome read, full of drama and action. I had reader's block and this is the perfect book to get out of it. After all, I really enjoy this series

The infamous prose of Jackie Collins. Some may say trashy.
She has always certainly been one of my favorite guilty pleasures and in my eyes will always reign as queen of Hollywood fiction. Her books are always jam packed with drama, intrigue, romance and devastating consequences and this one is no exception.
The Lucky Santangelo series is truly Jackie's greatest masterpieces. The books follow the life of the Santangelo's, Lucky and Gino being the key characters. I truly love Lucky as a character. She is everything every female aspires to be. She's strong, confident and has balls of steel.
As with all the Lucky Santangelo novels, I loved this just the same. The only Lucky book so far I thought fell flat was Vendetta. This one was more realistic and I particularly enjoyed Bridgette's involvement in the novel. These books are easy to read and although many characters live in those pages, the story line is easy to follow. Even though this is one of many in the Lucky Santangelo dynasty, I feel like there is a family of main characters that run throughout. This is what Jackie does best, she keeps the ball rolling, each character having there own story line to intertwine at the end, in an explosive ending. I love Lucky, I think she is a brilliant character, I wish I had her attitude and fierceness. She is so well written, and so should be as she has been a part of Jackie's life as much as her own family I reckon. I don't think I personally relate to any of the characters, as you just don't know what they will do next. Sometimes the scenarios can become a little unbelievable but I think that is what makes stories so explosive.
The story is written through the eyes of a multitude of characters, each different but unique. You quickly become accustomed to their each individual life stories. Each character grows throughout the book, some grow in the wrong directions and become more evil and menacing.
You don't necessarily learn from reading Jackie Collins, other than the usual life lessons, don't do drugs or become involved in situations that you are out of your depth. It may be a bit far-fetched but that's what reading is about. To escape the every day reality in my opinion.
Overall, I absolutely love this series of book, I love Jackie Collins as an author. When you need a guilty pleasure this is one of the best series to do that. I would definitely recommend and indeed have done so. This probably isn't the best in the series, but it is still very much enjoyable.
This gets 2 stars because it's fluffy trash but on the whole I'm loving this series and plan to read the rest of it soon. Great fun with over the top plot and characters.
This book was so damn good. I wish it never ended. I don't know how Jackie thought of all this stuff but wow, what an imagination. LOVEEEE iTTTT!!! mUST READ!
Also recommended by my dad :) just as racy and fast paced as the previous Jackie Collins number, they all tend to have a rushed ending. But at over 500 pages, they are meaty. Enjoyable evening reading to take my mind off things!
Another well ride from Jackie Collins. Full of death , sex , romance and profanities. Great elements in a book to get you out of a slump
Its so much fun seeing all the old characters and crazy new characters. Brigitte got into trouble again with the disgusting Carlo , Claudia come for Lennie and Steven got married to Lina !! So much fun

This book was just "okay" for me. Probably because I'm sick of the Hollywood actors. I enjoyed "Lucky" and the books seemed to go downhill from there. It seems that Collins needs to make up some kind of excuse for Lucky and Lennie to be fighting. As I've said before, the plot with Lennie and Claudia was ridiculous. And her having his kid just added to this. I know everyone is supposed to be rooting for Lucky, but she pissed me off with the way she treated Lennie after she found out about Claudia. She came across as pretty self-righteous, like SHE didn't have an affair with Alex Woods. And I was mad as hell that Lennie never found out about it. Please do away with the Brigitte storylines, too. I usually skim through them. She's nowhere near as interesting as her mother, Olympia was. And Steven falling in love so quickly with that tramp/model Lina was too much for me, too. I skipped over her parts of the story, too. Steven deserved better.
Start to finish she was nothing but a hypocritical bitch. She gave Lennie so much shit and meanwhile her dirt wasn't spilled and she still kept Alex close! Bullshit.
Lennie and Bridgette are just cursed. Unbelievably bad luck at every turn.
Steven moved on a bit too quick for my taste and with of all people Lina who was just a bore to me, as was the Prince/Irene/Duke shit.
Poor Claudia though. She went out a hero kinda, with no Thxs by Lucky.
Btw where the fuck did Nona vanish off to? And Costa?

Jackie Collins' recent death made me realize I had not read one of her Lucky Santangelo's books in quite some time so I decided to reacquaint myself with the character and her family. After starting Dangerous Kiss, it dawned on me I skipped a book and will go back and read Vendetta:Lucky's Revenge. Anyway, I digress.
It was great to see Lucky again but the book was too drawn out. The back story on some of the characters was tedious which made the book longer than necessary. Ms Collins fluffed the book a little too much.
What a fun book! The narrative sped along at such a high velocity that I could hardly stop reading. The characters were fantastic, and the storylines were all intricate and entertaining. I really liked Lina and laughed aloud at some of her dialogue. If I have any complaints, I wish there had been more Venus—and Carlo should have died. I also didn’t like that Claudia died. I think having Lucky and Lennie navigate this new expansion of their family would have been fascinating. Oh well. At least Mila got what she deserved.

I loved this book. Several years ago I read her book LUCKY and this book is a continuation of the characters. I am not a fast reader but could not put it down and read it until I couldn't hold my eyes open. Her description of the characters and their lives made me feel as if I was there in person. Jackie Collins is an excellent author!
I would have liked to rated this higher, but Ms. Collins took on too many characters (including weak and naive) along with bad situations to do this 5th Lucky story justice. Just when the ending begins to make this story better, it fizzles instead. 4 of 10 stars
I really disliked this one. Lucky’s half-brother’s wife…so her half sister in law?…gets killed in a carjacking, but I honestly couldn’t bring myself to care. Bridgette is beyond boring; I skimmed through every part with her. Lucky and Lennie’s drama this time around is because he was with the half sister in law when she got murdered and he’s all upset about it, and then Lucky starts being a huge bitch to him for the sin of having feelings. Oh, also, in the last book, he was kidnapped and held in a cave in Italy, and while there, he had sex with the duex ex machina who came to rescue him, Claudia. So Claudia comes from Italy to see Lennie and oh wow shocking she’s had his baby. Of course Lucky is a total bitch about this, but conveniently, Claudia gets killed off at the end, as all the secondary characters always do. Also Venus and her husband Cooper like to fuck.
The characters were kind of awful in this one. Lennie was boring; Lucky was a bitch; Bridgette was dull and stupid and helpless and kept getting into ridiculous situations that Lucky had to bail her out of. I wish Jackie hadn’t killed off Olympia.

Lucky Santangelo certainly is her own woman, afraid of nothing and never boring. Dangerous Kiss, the fifth in the series, finds Lucky running Panther Studios and still married to the love of her life, Lennie Golden. This is Hollywierd shenanigans at its craziest, as only Jackie Collins can dish out. With sex-grazed supermodels, homicidal teenagers, and the rich and beautiful players of tinsel town, the action (and sex) never stops. This was an easy, fun read.
I love reading Lucky and each book is just as good as the last. I’ll be sad when I finish this series. Jackie is so good at tension building and creating intricate plot lines. She’s not afraid to kill off characters and Dangerous Kiss is Lucky at her finest. This one isn’t so much about sex as it is about deception and murder and it follows on from previous events in the earlier books.
More Lucky Santangelo and family. It seems these books have similar outlines. Life goes on, there's a bunch of different characters in crisis, then it all gets wrapped up in a pretty little bow with all the bad guys getting killed at the last second. My heart was beating fast in the last few chapters though. Maybe I'll read something a bit lighter before continuing on....
Another fast, fun romp with Lucky Santangelo is exactly what I needed. Sure, it may seem a little repetitive, but she always made it fun! Can poor little rich girl Brigitte get a break though? Good golly!
I've been re-reading my physical books so that I can unhaul them to my favorite little free library. I don't remember these characters anymore, if I've even followed the series, so I just followed the story threads with the abusive relationships, so I can learn how to spot red flags.
The book starts out slow in the first 50 pages as the reader gets all the back stories of the the characters involved. Once through that, the story takes off and it becomes quite the page turner.
