The investigation takes an uncanny turn once magic users are targeted. Discovering Gabriel is supernatural should make working the case easier. Instead, it’s ripping apart his friendship with Ian, causing karma to tighten its noose tighter around Mira.
Gabriel is ticked off. He’s compelled to track down Mira when she’s in trouble and each time is a nagging reminder that he’s an angel. Telling Ian is out of the question, at least until he comes to terms with his winged half. But to track the missing witches, coming clean may be the only way forward.
Even with a guardian angel, keeping Mira alive long enough to help the case is harder than they imagined.
Another great read but it just leaves more questions. What supernatural is Emmett? Isn't it about time we were told? More disappearances, her store gone and her two detectives trying to get past the feeling of being left on the outside. Why does their seer keep insisting that John is still around? They killed him didn't they? What does she really feel for Emmett and Gabriel - which one will win her heart? Now the seer too has disappeared and the other dimension is trying to get too them. Will reading his blog give her a clue that might lead her to him? Going off on her own probably wasn't a great idea but finding at least one of the missing is. However going up against the enemy leaves her trapped in her own body. Can she get out? How will she find her old friend Tyler or will Emmett just let her be taken to him? Will she survive? Will she manage to save anyone? What will the reaction of the supernatural world be towards her?
Whenever Mira is in trouble, poor Gabriel finds himself compelled to rescue her. That is the last thing that the detective and recently discovered angel wants to do. Then there is his partner Ian bound by a witch’s spell who can’t share any of his knowledge. These three find themselves trying to track down missing witches, avoiding the Ether, and keeping themselves alive.
This book is a fast-paced, heart-stopping, and suspenseful action adventure with a wonderful storyline and multidimensional main characters. While it leaves you with a cliffhanger, this reader definitely cannot wait for the third book in this thrilling series.

I love the characters and storyline. One moment I am holding my breath, reading as fast as possible to find out what happens. The next moment, I am slowly taking in every syllable hoping the book doesn't end. I love the mix of magic and myth as well as the action and suspense. I can't wait for book 3!
Being a witch is hard enough but now it is even harder. He has not told them the truth about who he is. When she was is in trouble he needs to save her. How will it all go? Will the truth come out finally? See if it will

Grim Magic by Amanda Booloodian is a wonderful story to read. I loved reading cause it has a wonderful mix of magic and myth threw the story. I agree with a lot of others I hope they continue this wonderful series. I highly recommend this story for everyone.

This series is fast moving. Lot's going on. I hate cliff hangers but every book is out for this 3 book series so I don't have to wait. I love the evolution of Mira. All the character are interesting and I love learning about them. The author has done a great job of making both worlds seem real and frightening at the same time.
I was hesitant the to read this book after being disappointed in the first book. And the disappointment continued because I felt like I was reading the same book. What new things happened in book two, not much.
This series is insanely good. The mystery is always something you want to find out. I personally could get lost in this world. Can't wait to read on farther and see how the journey unfolds!
This one was better than the first. Poor Gabriel trying to deal with the promises he made to Mira. The moments with them together always make me laugh. Emmit of course is still a mystery. This has definitely been a good series to read.
Wow, very exciting, but what a cliffhanger! Mira and Gabriel are pulled into the Ether again for more terrifying adventures. I've already purchased the next in the series and can't wait to get to it. Highly recommend.
Well, the first and second book in the series end in cliffhangers. I hate cliffhangers! I don’t even think I want to read the third book unless it’s the last book in the series cause I’m sick of these damn cliffhangers.
What in the Bluebell hell just happened 😮 I think Emmett has ALOT of explaining to do he seems shady as all hell . Gabriel dude wtf is your issue. I can’t believe this ending.
This book yet again made almost no progress plot-wise whatsoever. I am not willing to spend any more money on empty promises of an interesting resolution.
Book 2 starts with Gabriel begrudgingly rescuing Mira from a flat tire and the adventures never stop. Mira, Gabriel, Ian, Emmit, and the rest of her characters are a lot of fun. Gabriel, and even Mira, coming to terms with his angelic side has it's humorous moments. Her take on the Ether is creative, albeit sort of similar to the upside-down. Grim Magic had me laughing, still questioning the motives of one specific character, and pushing Gabriel and Mira on. I just couldn't put it down. It's another great read!
