Hazel and her husband stopped being separate people years ago. They live their happy life in the always crowded, mostly sunny, and sometimes sweltering city of LA. Though they haven’t managed it yet, plans are afoot to add a kitty to the household, thereby giving the allergist fits.

Hazel has been writing full-time for several years, with some traditionally published work in other genres. But it’s her indie-published romance that fuels the creative fire. It turns out writing isn’t a job, it’s an obsession.

When you can pry Hazel’s fingers from the laptop, you’ll find her: on the elliptical watching a documentary, indulging her audiobook habit, or spending quality time with Candy Crush. Although she’s vegan, she’s a disaster in the kitchen. Luckily, potato chips and pinot noir come ready-made.

(Immortal Highlander, Clan Skarven Book 4): A Scottish Time Travel Romance

Kanyth Skaraven is weapons master to clan Skaraven and he has never had a hard time with the ladies until he meets Perrin Thomas. The fairy like ballerina druid descendant may be fated for him, but he finds himself torn in two directions. He has a unique power with the forge that must be kept under tight control and that control seems to slip whenever he's near Perrin.

Modern day ballerina Perrin Thomas can't figure out what her purpose is in medieval Scotland. While all of her fellow women who came from the future work to aid the Highlanders, Perrin's visions have vanished making her feel utterly useless. Without her gift she struggles to help and is at a complete loss when it comes to the gorgeous Weapons Master. He makes it rather obvious that he can't stand to be near her even though she has an unexplainable longing for him.

But as the deadly attacks of the mad druids and their giants escalate to a fever pitch, Perrin and Kanyth must band together and not only conquer the danger, but their deepest desires as well.

Hazel Hunter did a fantastic job with this book. Once again I have been transported back to medieval Scotland and shared in the characters fears and happiness. This ties in perfectly with the rest of the Clan Skraven books.

Ms. Hunter has once again had me clutching my Kindle in a death grip from start to finish.
This book like every book I've read written by Ms. Hunter has what us avid readers crave. Adventure, Romance Intrigue and heart stopping moments of panic that is swept away with Happy Ever After...I can't wait for the next one.

All of the author's immortal highlander series, including Clan Skaraven, are thrilling, suspenseful, steeped in mysticism and druid spells and such goings on. Women from the 21st century are transported to medieval times in the highland region of what is now Scotland. Meanwhile, the Clan Skaraven, who were killed defending Druids in the 1st century are brought back as immortals to again protect the villagers and nearby clans. The romance that develops between the fated mates is very satisfying. It's hilarious when the clan does not understand modern speech, etc. I am so glad I found this series. The first 5 books are in the series entitled, "The Immortal Highlander: A Scottish Time Travel Romance." The Clan Skaraven series is not a continuation of the above-referenced series title and have an entirely different set of facts governing it, although there are some recurring characters. Both of these series are really worth reading.

I do not know why but I was not trilled by this one!
So why was I not sucked in this story?
There are still hot immortal highlanders with a painful past, kidnapped women from the future with strange gifts, bad bad guys if not crazy.
Was it because I was eager to read to finish it to go back to the series I was reading?

I do liked Kanyth, like all the Skaraven, his skill is unique but costs him greatly, bringing lot of pains even if as an immortal now he heals quickly.
Perrin is not my favorite of the 21st century’s girls but despite her being very private and shy, I did not disliked her. Just people who run away with no real reason are far from what I’m looking for in leading characters.
Okay, when she changes, there is an explanation but the contrast between before and after is too wide.

There is a change of scene, with more of the human allies and less of the immortal warriors. I loved the McAra people and their intriguing little Laird.
One last book to conclude this series, with hope it will really end the insane druids march.

It never ceases to amaze me how Hazel Hunter can create with words on paper a story that comes alive as I read it. She continues to educate me on the ways and words used by these ancient peoples: Pritani, druids, Vikings, and mortals. This is yet another story well worth 5 stars. It has mystery, treachery, evil, love, passion, creativity and more.

We learned in the past 3 books that 5 modern-day women of druid heritage were captured and taken back to the 14th century Scotland.
Three have found their mates and are also immortal like their mates. Each has a unique power or talent. Unfortunately Perrin, a waif-like young girl of exceptional beauty, used to have the talent of being able to see the future at times. She has lost that ability and now feels totally useless. Sure, she could sweep, help with the laundry, help in the kitchens, and do like things, but her real talent of being able to warn of impending disasters is gone. In the 21st century she was a Prima-ballerina and starred in productions all over the world. Now, she does not even have toe shoes. Poor Perrin. While they were in captivity, two evil druids cast a spell on her to make her lose her appetite, and already thin, she was in danger of dying until the Skaraven rescued her and her fellow prisoners. Now as she sits quietly in the great hall of Dun Mor, her eyes cannot help but track Kanyth, the Weapons Master. He is perfect and beautiful, while being strong and masculine. She worships him, but he seems to really dislike her.
She eventually seeks him out in his forge workshop. His forge spirit places its mark upon her, marking her as Kanyth's mate. Neither is happy about this.

Kanyth is able to eventually help her get her powers back. Just in time, too. The evil duo of Hendry and Murdina have now been joined by Oriana. Kanyth and Perrin will need to join forces to defeat these foes. Come join the fun adventure as the many traps are set.

I received this book as an ARC. The choice to read/review was left to me. I was delighted to read and give you my opinion. 5 wonderful stars from me!

Best yet!

I have become a devoted reader of Hazel Hunter's Immortal Highlander, Clan Skaraven series. Each one has been exciting, intense, riveting, and super sexy. This one, book 4, is about the 14th-century blacksmith, weapons master, Kanyth and the 21st-century ballet diva Perrin. She is one of the 5 contemporary women who has been stolen by wooden giants and their evil druid and druidess masters, and has been brought back to the 14th century. The villains plan to use the women in a plot of revenge and world domination against all other druids, humans, and particularly against one druid and the clansmen he turned immortal, the Skaraven. I encourage everyone who loves time travel fantasies full of incredibly hunky Scotsmen to start with the first dedicated to Brennus, the clan chief. Read all others in order because each story builds on the previous novels.
Kanyth is Brennus' brother, who is the most handsome of the clan and invaluable due to his magical prowess in creating weapons for the clan. He also proves to be extraordinarily canny in mounting a defense without much to work with against the nearly indestructible enemy giants. His love affair with the ethereally beautiful dancer starts out rocky, but when they get together fireworks, literally and figuratively, are set off. I found the ending to be one of the most satisfying that I've ever read. There is never a dull moment throughout the novel as the various characters are caught in the intrigue, violence, tenderness, and emotions of this satisfying read.

Perrin had always depended on her younger sister to help her through life but things changed when she fell through time ... two-thousand years! Torture, starvation and the shift left her void. The spell she was under did not help either.

Little did she know, but she had a champion who was looking after her. A tall, blonde, gorgeous hunk of man by the name of Kanyth Skaraven, weapons master of the Skaraven Clan. He was a man with secrets and scary superpower.

Circumstances ramp up, everyone is in danger and the enemy is near. Will they be able to withstand the forces that are working to take the clan down? Let's hope so because you will love characters and be in the grip of the unknown right up to the end.

One thing you can be assured of it a bewitching story, wonderfully told by the master of Immortal Highlanders. This fast-paced story filled with mystery, madness and the possibility of something greater than you might imagine.

I received a reader copy in exchange for an unbiased review. A couple of things I am certain of, Hazel Hunter never disappoints...and this one is no exception! It's a real 5 star read that held be captive, cover-to-cover, and I loved every minute.

Seeing the future helps save many lives

This book has plenty of exciting things happening. I am in love with these tough Highlander men and their tough but tender hearts. I know we only have one more druid woman from the future to go but I wish that there were many more because I don't want it to end!
Perrin feels useless at Dun Mor, so she travels with Emmaline to check on the McAra clan and the lairds pregnant wife.
Kanyth feels something for Perrin but doesn't think he can ever have a mate due to his"forge power". The power makes him burn hot enough to melt steal so he is afraid to touch anybody. But he goes after Perrin in order to protect her and bring her back to Dun Mor. While they are together at the McAra keep Kanyth's warrior spirit goes into Perrin choosing her as his mate. But of course, they both fight it.
Oriana/Barra the bone conjurer/Ana meanwhile plots the demise of people in the keep, Master Flenn and the Skaraven. Henry, Murdina and the farheim are also working on plans to trap and kill the Skaraven. Perrin's gift of foresight has also retuned tohelp then in the perilous situations.

Perrin Thomas along with a few other women were take from the future and dragged back to the 14th century by two crazy druids, Hendry, Murdina and their Famhairean. She and the other women was saved and now live at Dun Mor with the Skaraven clan. They were brought back to life and made immortal to fight the Famhairean and the crazy druids by a good druid named Bhahair Flen.

Kanyth Skaraven is 1/2 brother to the chieftain of the Skaraven clan . Kanyth or Ka is the weapons master and known as the forge. He wants Perrin but knows he can't have a women with his power he would hurt her.
Then there is the evil oriana still plotting against them all of them yep they have some 3 evil crazy Druids and a bunch of wooden Giants planning their death! What acting ! Drama, magic, Mayhem, awesome characters, and so much more. I loved this story and can't wait for more to come! God yes I have become completely addicted. Lol its fantastic
Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it and want more!

Kanyth (Immortal Highlander, Clan Skaraven Book 4): A Scottish Time Travel Romance by Hazel Hunter is an Ancient World, Time Travel, Historical Romance. Perrin Thomas, a Prima-ballerina in the 21st century was kidnapped and transported to the 1200s by an insane Druid couple along with other women. She can’t find her purpose since she lost that ability to see the future and now feels totally useless. Weapons Master Kanyth Skaraven is one of the most fierce of the Skaraven. The chemistry between them is great and his battle spirit wants to claim her but He has his reasons to keep away. But when things start getting dangerous he has no option but to work together with her. Action, adventure, love, and passion. I love Hazel Hunter!'s style of writing and amazing wolds and characters in her stories and this is another great read by her. A must read! I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest opinion.

Perrin has traveled back in time to the fourteenth century. Kidnapped, starved and that's just the start of the problems. But in the end, she finds her true love.
Kanyth is immortal. He is the Weapons Master, and that's not a tile that he takes lightly. When he sees Perrin for the first time he forgets himself and loses his ability to even hold his sword.
This book is a continuation from the previous books all that changes is the main couple. The story is getting better as it goes. I have fallen in love with these characters and look forward to reading the next page, next chapter. But now that it's over I wish I would have slowed down and savored it more

Intriguing Story! Kanyth’s forge spirit can make fire and tame metal, so much so that he is certain he will never have a mate because it would be too dangerous to touch her. Perrin has temporarily lost her Druid skill of foresight, she is extremely attracted to Kanyth but finds it difficult to talk to him because of her shyness. When she confronts him in his forge, everything changes. I loved the interaction between these two and was glad when Perrin got her visions back. This book kept me on the end of my seat during the McAra clan’s troubles. I can’t wait for the last book to find out what happens to everyone.

I have been a fan of Hazel Hunter ever since I picked up one of the books in her Silver Wood Coven series more than three years ago. She writes such wonderful characters, and Perrin and Kanyth do not disappoint. They are each flawed and struggling in their own way, but they must work together to succeed. I loved this book. It is full of emotion, danger, action, and romance. Ms. Hunter is a fantastic writer, and her time travel romances set the bar high for other authors in this genre.

I received an ARC without obligation. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Book 4 in the series is about the clan Weaponsmaster, or blacksmith, he'd have been called if the time was a couple of hundred instead of a thousand years ago.

The author must have taken to this story especially, because the situation has been written with more nuance than the earlier stories, and the romance is more complicated. Evidently, his love has been under enchantment all this time. When the spell is broken, we see a complete change in her personality.

All in all, it's a good read--plenty of excitement, with lots of foretelling and fighting and f***ing.

HOOKED!

Hazel Hunter has kept me reading day and night, with only snatched of sleep, while reading The Immortal Highlander, Clan Skyraven series.. This is book #4, and I am reviewing the 3 previous books here as well. Each book could be a standalone, but each is a continuing storyline containing riveting male and female characters. I would advise starting with Brennus, Book #1 first. Hazel Hunter is one of my new best friends! Due to some explicit sexual content, appropriate for adults only.

This series just keeps getting better. A shy dancer from the future has an unwanted protector from the past. The weapon master is determined to keep her safe, from all threats even herself. Her visions show the future and they work together is stop it. The characters are well written and complement this fast paced plot. There is action, adventure and suspense, you'll keep turning pages until the end. I'm looking forward book 5.

I enjoyed the story and the characters have a chemistry that works. He fights the bond but it is not easy for him. I thought they made for an interesting couple and enjoyed watching them build a relationship.

It is a well written story that will appeal to fans of historical romances and time travel romances. You really get immersed in another time and place.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

What a fun romp to the past!

At first, Perrin 's personality is shy and timid. As the story unfolds, she becomes feisty and more assertive in her dealings with peop!e and her mate, Kanyth. How the story develops, the mishaps and problems both characters face, is full of adventure, suspense, and romantic yumminess! I loved the glossary and pronunciation guide Hazel Hunter provided, thank you! This series is so much fun to read. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book.

Kanyth (Immortals Highlander, Clan Skaraven Book 4)

The love story of Kanyth and Perrin. Kanyth is the weapon master and half brother of chieftain of the Clan Skaraven. Perrin is a ballerina and one of the five women kidnap from the 21th century. Perrin lost her ability to see the future and she does not know why. When she meet Kanyth, sparks flew. One kiss and her ability to see the future returns. Can a man who want nothing find he want everything? Great story.

Perrin and Kanyth

Hazel Hunter has conjured up an incredible world build. Are Perrin and Kanyth going to be able to get past the myriad of difficulties that keep them from each other? And the evils of the mad Druids are certainly going to be a problem, or ten. I like this series, and I recommend that you read all the books in order.

So one of my least favorite characters turned out to be one of my most liked after this book. I'm not sure why the feelings I had for the sister's switched.... Maybe their personalities got changed due to some magic that was alluded to?
Either way I liked this book.
Want that evil trator girl-druid to get her's already.... I feel sorry for the mad druids, but she is extra special bad.

Love and War

When I started book 1 of the series I wasn't sure it was my type of story but it hooked me in. Now huge fan and couldn't wait for this book to be released. The story is intense. It's a delicate balance between romance and impending doom caused by forces with unusual talents and skill. The plot is clever and keeps you wondering who and what will be left in the end.

My favorite book yet!

I loved Perrin & Kanyth's story. This tiny little thing of a Woman has more backbone then all the Skaraven combined!LOL but I guess she needed for "The Forge!" I have always loved Kanyth he was one of my favorite since the beginning! Wow now I can't wait to read Taran!

Great

These stories just get better as you go along. This was about Kanyth and Perrin who was a dancer in the future but her druid gift is foresight. She saves the castle but not herself. This is the first time that the battle spirit worked to immortalise one of the women from the future, not the druids.

I LOVED this book! It was probably my favourite so far! Not exactly because of Ka and Perrin (though they were pretty awesome), but because of the plot and intrigue and everything that happens. We’re finally coming to the last trench of the journey and I “cannae” wait! PLUS, Taran and Rown in Book 5 have me SO ON BOARD. Ta!
