Ash, an enforcer for the Westside Skulls, returns home to New York for his father's funeral. He hadn't seen him in five years thanks to a combination of events that sent him out to California and a whole new life. Ash...or Asher Bennett IV, as he was known in New York, hailed from an uber-rich family and for a few years after graduating for college, worked on Wall Street...before ending up in California, in a leather kutte on the back of a Harley. Ash just wanted his father's funeral to be over so he could escape his gold-digging stepmother, his snobby teenaged sister and the plastic, fake people of his childhood once more.
The past hurts, and it only gets more painful at the graveside when he comes face to face with his past…Mackenzie, or Mack as he always called her.
Mack was the girl he'd loved since he was thirteen years old, and the woman who had stood him up at the altar five years ago.
Ash's father's death leaves him juggling his life as a Skull, his past with Mack, and the possibility of a future with his teenaged sister who wants nothing more than to escape...the same way he did, and a stepmother who will do anything she can to make his life hell.
Of course, when it rains, it pours and in the course of dealing with club business...tragedy strikes, and Ash has to either learn to reign in his notorious temper...or risk losing everything.
Climb on the Harley with Ash and Mack and take a wild ride that will leave you wondering what's around the next bend in the road...and gasping for breath when you get there.

Let's start off by saying I am loving this series. I loved the characters they were totally awesome.

My favorite character would be Charlie even though she was not a main character.I think what I loved most about her as she surprised us at every turn.

I loved Ash as well as he is another character that surprised you as he was such a hothead and quick trigger that you would never knew how he would react to a situation. He never acted the way me thought be would.I loved how protective he was his club family as well as Mack and Charlie.Charlie is not going to like dating with a brother like him or this MC at he back as the brothers are going to be just as protective and threating....

The story was packed with action ,drama, and all about second chances for Ash,Mack,Charlie and Sledge we loved how they were able to put the pieces back together that had broken them apart in the first place.

Sledge needs a shout-out here I loved seeing his protective side come to the forefront!

The romance was steamy and passionate and Mack and Ash were super hot together in and out of bed.

I really loved how Mack & Ash were able to make things work between them even though in the beginning it was a love/hate relationship and the bottom line is they never stopped loving one another.

The plot took on some twists and turns and through some surprises popped up it was a nice easy read that kept you glued to the pages the entire time all the way to the end.

What I loved about this series is that it has so many amazing characters for us to laugh with ,love, cry and fall in love with and this story was the perfect mix of it all!

Recommended read to all and it series!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Ash has to return to the East coast for his dad's funeral which is when we find out he is a trust fund baby which is a whole different world from the MC world. He left the family after being left at the altar and he thought he was over it until he runs into Mack at the grave-site. Things are looking they are over until some drama starts going down out home while at the same time Ash finds out his sister his missing. Can the two of them work together long enough to save themselves and her? Round about way for two people to get together but man are there lots of emotions to work through. There is just all kinds of things going on in this book which will keep you hooked until the very last page. If you in the mood for a great MC romance novel then look no further. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

This is Ash and Mackenzie (Mack) story. Ash is part of the MC and Mack is his ex fiancee. Mack stood Ash up on their wedding day five years ago and that is when he left the rich life behind in New York and ended up in California. He never cared about the money and hated high society. The only thing that made him happy was Mack and she had run off with her boss. He joined the MC and if happy doing what he does and he is too far away to run into his ex. When Ash left New York he didn't just leave Mack but his Dad and little sister. There was a step Mom but he hated her so she didn't count.
Ash's Dad passed away and Ash goes home for the funeral. All he wants is to get in, get out and maybe see his little sister Charlie who has never took his phone calls. Charlie won't talk to him but Mack shows up and he won't give her the time of day. Once he is back home with the MC Mack shows up because she is worried about Charlie. Guess they have to talk now. They both are still attracted to each other but he can never trust her.
Once Ash finds out that it wasn't her idea to miss her own wedding... it's on and he needs to learn to control his own temper if he wants to get his revenge.

A good book with a lot of club business going on... that's a good thing.

Ash is my favorite book so far in the Westside Skulls Motorcycle Club Series. This book had a little bit of everything in it that I look for in a good MC book. It had two main characters that had enough past to drive me crazy. I loved getting into their heads and trying to figure out what happened in the past that went so horribly wrong.

The story had tons of drama, it had the suspense, the twists, and the steam that kept me flipping the pages dying to figure out what would happen next. It had great humor with Asher's little sister Charlie in the picture to put big bad bro in his place or drive him mad.

Asher Bennett IV may have been the enforcer for the Westside Skulls but in his past, he lived a very different life. This book is about these two worlds colliding over and over and him coming to terms with his past and his ex-Mackenzie. Mack was and still is in many ways Ash's world he just has built a wall around his heart and refuses to give her the time of day to speak with him. That is until she shows up needing his help and he is at her mercy.

This book was a fun read that kept me entertain the entire read and even had a few twists I did not see coming. I am looking forward to more stories in this series.

We’re now at Ash and Mack’s story in this awesome MC series.
After leaving his hometown because he was tired of his Wallstreet life style and all the false people he knew, Ash returns home for his fathers funeral. There he unexpectedly bumps into an old flame Max, he’s surprised to see her as she had broke his heart years before and is unsettled with the meeting. Also to add to his discomfort is the presence of his step-mother, a difficult women who disliked Ash intensely and his younger sister who is beginning to copy all her mothers unpleasant traits. Ash is in hell.
This was an enjoyable read. It was well thought out and written. There’s action, humour and anguish as the emotions take a rollercoaster ride as Ash try’s to figure the best way to cope with the mess his father has left him. And his own relationships also have to be put in order.
An addictive read. The Westside Skulls MC series is becoming a favourite MC read for me. I highly recommend Ash, you won’t be disappointed!

This is the book four in the Westside Skulls MC Series and with each book that I read by Jessie I get more and more thrilled and excited.

The book has action, drama, loyalty, friendship and hot moments... I loved the reading, even when one thing happen and I was screaming to my Kindle that it could not be true. In other words, the story has all that I could ask in an MC book and more.

I got a impression that this is the best book in this series so far. And I know that I said the same thing about the previous one, and yes, I liked Bruf a lot, but I think I liked this one a little more. Can't wait for the next one!

Ash is an Enforcer for the Westside Skulls MC but he lead a very different life before he became associated with the club- he worked on Wall Street. Basically Ash is a trust-fund baby that bucked the privileged life, especially when Mack left at the alter. He joins the Westside Skulls days after to put him on the opposite coast of Mack. When his father dies he is forced back to his home and that’s where the story gets interesting.

Mack hasn’t gotten over Ash, but she knows how it looked when she left him at the alter. There were circumstances outside of her control at play there, but when Ash comes home for the funeral she takes it as a sign. Throw in an vile step-mother and a sister who is a “carbon copy” of her mother and you get an intriguing read. I can’t wait for Sledge’s book!!!

So this is the fourth book in the Westside Skulls series. Techincally it could be the third, because Wolf got two books. But yeah I guess this could be considered the fourth book in this series. And uhhhhhh..... yeah, I'm trying to decide how to write this review. Honestly I was so excited for Ash's book after reading Bruf's book. I really wanted to know Ash's story and what had happened.

Let me do Asher Bennet IV, aka Ash, first..... Ash is a young man who comes from a privileged background. He's a man who doesn't neccessiarly need to be in the MC life and probably wouldn't expect to find in the life. But after being left at the alter by his fiance, he was unsure what to do with his life. So he joined his best friend Sledge and joined the MC. I really liked Ash and found him to be sweet, kind, caring, and protective. But on the other side of that he was a bit of a hot head and seemed to get angry easily.

Uhhhh Mackenzie, aka Mack...... I wanted to like Mack, I really did. I even really tried to give her a chance going into this story. I tried to keep an open mind about why she left Ash at the alter. And I mean I feel for the girl and what she went through and everything, and even understood her reasoning..... BUT honestly I found her to be weak, she's probably one of the weaker heroine character's that I have read in a long long while. I mean her excuse for leaving Ash at the alter was just weak. I know that she was young and probably impressionable. But she obviously had no trust in Ash, or their relationship if she's was going to believe something she thought she saw on a video. I just never really liked Mack in this book and didn't feel like she belonged with Ash.

As I said above I had been really excited about Ash's book when I had read the excerpt in Bruf's book. But I kind of felt let down and disappointed with it. As I just mentioned I never got into Mackenzie's character. And because I just never really could get behind the Ash and Mack relationship, I found myself skimming through the smexy parts. BUT I will say other than that this was a good book and I did really enjoy Ash himself. Mrs. Cooke didn't skip out on the drama with the club either.

I'm giving this book 3.5 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for Sledge's book!!!!

***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***

Ash is the 4th book in the Westside Skulls series by Jessie Cook. This series just keeps getting better and better to me. I have read all 4 books in the series and cannot wait to continue reading this series. There is a lot of colorful language, some hot sex scenes, and some violence in each of the books but the true story in each book is love and family. Which is true to most of the bikers I know, and I know a lot of them. I like how each book is dedicated to a different member of the MC but you still get to follow the characters from previous books. You also get to know the future leading characters a little.

In this book Ash is our leading man. Although his cover picture is not my kind of sexy, the man in the book is hot. Ash has been dealing with a broken heart for over 5 years. After being left at the alter he moves to California with his best friend to join the Westside Skulls. He has built a life as an Enforcer in the MC. When his father dies his past comes crashing down on him.

Ash is Asher Bennett IV, his father owns Bennett Textiles and is a multi millionaire if not billionaire. Asher is a college graduate with a business degree and worked on Wall Street. Mackenzie better known as Mack, Ash and Steve better known as Sledge grew up together, they were best friends since middle school. Ash and Mack fell in love at 13. On their wedding day Mack is a no show. Ash pack his bags and follows Sledge (Steve) to California and doesn't look back.

Charlie or Charlotte is Ash's little sister. She was 10 when Ash leaves for California. Now almost 16 she is filled with hurt over Ash leaving her. Ash was very close to his father and sister but could not deal with his step mother Allison. Allison is a gold digger and when Ash's father passes leaving his money and business to Charlie things get really deep.

When Charlie runs away Mack travels to California to tell Ash in person that Charlie is missing the hurt and love Ash had and still carries for Mack bubbles up to the surface. The search begins for Charlie and so does the search of the heart.

Sledge is the next book in the series. I can't wait to see his story.

Ash is the fourth of the Westside Skulls series and possibly my favorite.  I've really grown to love these guys throughout the books and it's original series, the Southside Skulls.

Asher Bennett IV. Doesn't that name just ooze money, power and sex appeal? Those labels would be right, at least, they were. Knowing he didn't want to take over the family business, Ash was eager to get out on his own and build a life with his beloved fiance. Nothing could've prepared him for the reality of his wedding day though. Ash left Manhattan after being left at the altar by the only woman he's ever loved. He loved his father and little sister but the walls were closing in on him. Leaving behind the trappings of his name and family obligation, he made a place for himself as the Enforcer in the Westside Skulls. Ash isn't one to spend time dwelling on the past but the past doesn't stay buried when he has to unexpectedly bury his father, face the painful past with his ex and deal with his grieving sister.

Mack made the only decision she could when she left Asher standing at the altar by himself.  It's a secret she's harbored for five long years. She doesn't blame Ash for hating her, as she's never found a way to tell him the truth. She knows the truth might set her free but it might send Ash on a spiral that could cost him everything. Despite his open animosity, she can't help but love him still. Knowing he'll never forgive her, she retreats to lick her wounds but when his sister goes missing, she knows they have to work together to find Charlie before it's too late.

These two were ice one minute, a raging inferno the next. There's a fascinating push pull between them (and Sledge!) that was deeply compelling. There's plenty of action, drama and even violence (it's a MC book, at all) but the second chance love story is the thread I wanted to pull and unravel. Super hot and sexy times, amazing loyalty even when it was being questioned and the love of a family and friends make this book special. Can't wait for Sledge's story!!

Ash is another fabulous book from this author, I am delighted to say that this book is every bit as good as her others if not better.

Ash or Asher Bennett 1V, once an affluent Wall Street professional but now the enforcer for the Westside Skulls MC in Fresno goes back to New York to help bury his father. Seeing Mackenzie, or Mack, the love of his life from five years earlier was harder than he thought it would be. Seeing as she’d left him at the altar and run off, he still couldn’t forgive her. It’s his much younger stepsister that causes him concern.

Ash is a great character, not shallow like a lot of the spoilt rich people he left behind in his past life, he prefers honesty, integrity and loyalty in his friends. He also returns this as well as protection and caring for his MC and MMA Family. Sledge, or Steve, is another interesting character and one I can’t wait to get to read his book next! Charlotte is a pampered princess but a clever one! Underneath there is more and with a mother like hers...well let’s just say I can understand why she does what she does. Now Mack is different and hides a mystery as to what really happened five years ago..very intriguing.

The plot thickens when another facet of the story is exposed after a rival club appears to have it in for their club. This mystery takes quite a bit of unravelling and a few shocks as well. The storyline is solid and easy to read; because of its fast pace, it is a fairly quick read as well. Lots of passion with very hot scenes, action-including some violence but nothing over the top, drama and angst but also some fun banter between characters and a true sense of belonging within a ‘family’ whether it’s biological or not can all be found between the pages of this story.

Ash grew up in a well to do family but left when he got his heart broken by Mack, and ended up at the other end of the country joining the Westside Skulls MC. Now 5 years later, he's called home for he's father's funeral, and there's a lot of drama that hits him, as his younger sister has grown into a resentful teenager, his stepmother is doing everything she can to exclude him from everything, and he comes face to face with the woman that he never got over. So now, Ash has to face his past whether he wants to or not, and it leads him on an emotional journey, and it definitely doesn't help that there's more danger coming for his club on top of it all. Well the amazing Jessie Cooke has given us another fantastic story in this series, as Ash is a complicated man who has been hurt badly in his past. With his story, it really shows why he becomes who he is, and at first I was totally mad at Mack for her part in it, but as the story unfolds, I should have known it was way more complicated than just a random break up. Especially since these two still have such insane chemistry that did ignite again to light the sheets on fire! And between that past unfolding, plus the danger to the club, the twists were plentiful so my f-bomb dropping was as well. All the other brothers were present & accounted for, on top of a few new secondaries to add the extra spark to the story, and finally, quite a bit of angst went hand in hand in the telling of Ash's story so my emotions were on display while reading. Cannot wait for Sledge's story next, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Ash used to work on Wall Street before her ended up with the Westside Skulls, but returns home for his father’s funeral, which he can’t wait to leave, his stepmother was making sure that it was a whose who party about herself.
The one thing he wanted to miss at his father’s funeral was Mack, she was the last person he wanted to see after leaving him at the altar and hasn’t forgiven her. The one person he wanted to see was his sister, but she’s distant with him and resentful he hasn’t been to see her.
Glad to return home, it’s short live with some trouble with the club and even more when Mack turns up letting him know that his sister is missing. Even with the way he feels about Mack there is still the pull to her and they both decide on a night with no strings attached.
Ash realises that he needs answers from Mack, as to what happened five year ago, he can never hate her but need to know why she left him, when she tells him that she didn’t want him, he shows her how much she does want him, and lets her know never to say that she doesn’t but if she leaves this time not to come back.
With everything happening with the club, when his sister calls, wanting to know why he’s ignoring Mack, he lets her know it will never work, but wonders when she tells him she knows why Mack left and he needs to hear her out.
Mack know she has to take the chance and let Ash know why she really left and why she didn’t tell him, when Ash hears the reason why Mack left him, and the reasons why she couldn’t tell him, will Ash realise he still loves her or still not be able to forgive her.

I really believe that the way this book was written, some of it should have been labeled as suspenseful romance or.. something similar to that because through most of the book I was on the edge of my seat & holding my breath just wondering what would happen next.

As far as main characters go, I really grew to admire Mack sooo much. Not only because she went through hell at such a young age but she was strong/brave/had enough nerve to protect the man she loved and their best friend even if it meant that they would hate her. I don’t know how she found the will to do all this and still deal with a trauma such as rape and though we didn’t find this out until much later in the book, from the beginning despite the other main character’s ( and her S/O) views on her I truly believed that there had to be something more than a simply falling out of love to that story. So naturally when I did find out later in the book the reasons for her standing up Ash (her S/O) the day of their wedding, I was so happy that I stuck in her corner and believed in this character. Of course, there were multiple times where I wished she could have just told him already but, the way the author unfolded the story, gave it a sort of poetic justice. The only think I’m sad about is that I won’t get to read more about these characters! I would have soo signed up for like 15-20 more chapters on Mack and Ash.

A must read if you’re into MC Romances!

Loved this series!

The Westside Skulls are a spinoff of the Southside Skulls. Although you don’t have to read those I personally would suggest that you do. You certainly don’t want to miss out on meeting all that is Dax, plus this will give you a feel for the mentality that goes with their biker lifestyle. This story also introduces you to many of the characters in ‘The Best of The Bad Boys’ series the author also wrote. They intrigued me enough that I had to put that series on the TBR list.

Ash walked away from his life in New York five years ago. Tragedy takes him back and he is faced once again with all the reasons he left to start with. Being more mature and able to look at the situation with a bit more clarity he realizes all is not the way it appeared. Will he be able to give forgiveness? The Westside Skulls loose one of their brother’s in this story and it will rock the entire club. With heavy hearts, they ban together to find out who has committed this unforgivable act and then they will move forward as a family.

As always, this book carries on the series and offers the reader a bit of everything, mystery, suspense, intrigue, dirty talk, hot sex, love and compassion, all that plus some MMA fights. Oh, did I forget to mention revenge? Sometimes it is a long time coming but it will come.

Happy Reading!

Ash was set to marry the woman of his dreams but she ended up leaving him at the alter. Later she sends a message that she wouldn't be showing up.
Now 5 years later they meet up again at Ash's fathers funeral. She is ready to tell him what happened and he is to angry to listen.
With ever thing going on she keeps getting pulled to where his MC is. When Ash finally wants to know what happened Mack is afraid to tell him knowing he will go after the guy.
When it is finally revealed what happened, I always wonder why no one ever questions what they think they saw that they take the word of someone who is out for themselves and will lie without any remorse.
The thing that was disappointing was how quick Ash took care of him. I know he did it that way to not draw attention to what really happened, but sometimes one really should get what is really coming to them. I also wished that Mack had confronted the girl, she may have not been aware of what part she played in the scenario but it would have been nice for Mack to bitch slap her or something.
A side not, I really hate when a character you get to know throughout the series ends up being killed off. I was hoping for his book. Considering how often it was brought up how he hardly talked so that when he did he had something important to say.

The MC is the last place you'd expect a man with his background. Designer suits and Italian Shoes, maybe a corporate officer. Not Ash. He'd finally found a home--in the MC. Only his father's funeral could bring him back to that world. The world includes his teenage sister he hardly recognizes and the woman who left him at the alter years earlier.

Feelings for his sister left in the care of his unfeeling step-mother left him with guilt. Seeing the woman he loved brings different feelings. He wants to hate her. Instead, he just wants her.

While he tries to settle his loss, back home there is a series problem with his club. It isn't going away anytime soon. He returns and soon has a few surprises in store. The past refuses to stay in the past.

Will he learn that there was a reason she abandoned him? Could he forgive her--ever? His little sister gives him more headaches. Between these two females, Ash has his work cut out for him. He also has some other issues.

Will Ash get control of his temper, his attitude toward the women in his life? That is if he even has the chance to live that long.

The steam is strong, the characters are strongwilled, and the friendships and loyalty strong and growing stronger. Another winner in a winning series.

Oh dreamy Ash! He's a wonderful character from both sides of the fence with his privileged upbringing and his decision to chunk it all and live the MC life. He's caring and kind and fierce and sexy! He runs into his ex, Mack, on a trip back east and is still affected by her betrayal. Then she shows up in Cali and things heat up. Mack's reason for jilting him was not really good enough but the chemistry between the two is undeniable. This story is about family. Not only the sexy MC brothers but Ash's family too. His teen sister is missing and his evil stepmother is causing problems. That's why Mack is back in his life and in his bed. They make a sexy couple. This is a more civilized, smart MC but they're not afraid to get bloody and fight if necessary. Great writing and a thrilling storyline with a sexy couple, family drama, intrigue, betrayal, action, romance and the terrific Skulls brothers makes this an exciting read. Love the secondary characters especially the loyal Sledge. The MMA subplot is a nice touch. This fabulous author does an amazing job of making these stand-alone stories that will have you wanting to read them all. Can’t wait for the next installment. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars

Wow Ash and Mack's story was seriously one that had me sitting there eager to find out what happened with Mack to have her leave Ash. The more and more I got into the more and more I got emotionally invested in the outcome of Ash and Mack's story. Not only that but his little sister and seeing how his relationship will go with his little sister. See how she ends up and if they can repair their relationship. But Ash has a problem with his temper and that may put his relationships in jeopardy with everyone around him. Will he be able to cool it and keep his cool? Will Mack finally be able to open up to Ash? Will Ash ever get over the pain and betrayal Mack dealt?

This series has me in its clutches just like the Southside Skulls MC did. The Westside is shaping up to be just as good if not better than the Southside. This is definitely a MUST READ series!!! Jessie once again did a great job and by the time I was done reading this book I was emotionally drained.

This book, argh it had me hook, line and sinker right from the start. Talk about an emotional ride there are so many heart wrenching moments throughout this story and that’s clear from the start, but when you hit the 82% mark have the tissues at the ready, I cried like a baby.

I loved everything about this book; the author writes so amazingly that you feel the story to your core. Ash was one hell of an enforcer for the club. From the start of the Westside Skulls, Ash has been the fun loving guy, but there has always been a story that I just needed to know, and this book certainly gave me that story. I’ll be honest, from the start I didn’t think I’d ever warm up to Mack, when I read what she did - from Ash’s perspective, I couldn’t see a way around my dislike for her, but OMG by the end of the book I loved her; her strength and selflessness. Loved everything about their book and can’t wait for more from the Westside boys.

A bit twisted

Jessie Cooke writes another unique story with twists and turns that are both heartbreaking and heart mending. I was so looking forward too Smokes story but he seems to have been the tragedy much like Saint(I cried so much for his loss). The mistaken jilting of The love of her life at the alter on her wedding day that somewhat destroyed five lives and the death that also brings the rest back together is more or less this story. I am still a bit sad about The quiet Smoke... I have kinda noticed Westside doesn't visit past characters quite the way Southside does... Its not abnormal in Southside to see romantic relationships with past couples in a new couples story... Like Dax and Angel continue to have roles for many stories after their own... I was kinda thinking Wolf and his old lady might have a residual story in the Westside series... The whole skulls MC is a good story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it had everything in it your could want. Drama, action, passion, humour, sense of belonging and a solid storyline to boot.

The main characters are all really interesting and easy to relate to. Ash is an honourable guy, loyal and caring. Mack is a bit harder to read at first but you can’t help but like her, you know there is more to her story. Charlotte is at first someone I wanted to slap! 😳 Thankfully I didn’t feel like this for too long! 😂 Sledge...ah..he is very intriguing and it’s great the next book will be about him. Allison, Charlie’s Mother, now there is someone I really could have cheerfully bitchslapped!

You don’t have to read all of the prior books to enjoy this story but the characters are all interesting and worth the read if so inclined.

Ash #16 03/20/2024

Ash wasn’t alway a Westside Skull he comes from a well to do family. Now he’s stand at the graveside of his father while watching his father wife act like she’s grieving. And his half sister is acting like the typical spoiled teenager plus she mad at him because he left. Then there is Mack aka McKenzie his ex fiancé she left him standing at the altar that’s what made him leave. But soon things will become clear what happened that day. But first trouble will come when someone is trying to hurt the club and their friends plus Ash’s sister shows up to get his help and that brings Mack back into his life. So enjoy another good read!! But if the author reads these reviews I didn’t like that you killed off smoke he needed his own story. Enjoy

This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series, and is Ash and Mack’s story. When Ash returns to his hometown for his Dad’s funeral, the last person he expects to run into is Mack, the girl who broke his heart years before. Add is the extra drama of his sister and step-mother, and Ash is at his wits end. This is a wonderful story which is well written and flawless, with added emotion, action, humour and passion, which all had me hooked and intrigued throughout. I cannot wait to read more in this series, and I highly recommend this authors’ work for all MC lovers!

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty great book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of compassion, kindness, revenge, protection, and just overall a good person and being there for that person. No matter how many years went by. Ash and McKenzie they were a great couple from the beginning, but something happened and it wasn't a nice thing that happened to her. She overcame it and she got her life back on track. And her and Asher work things out. Great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Ash returns home for his fathers funeral. There he unexpectedly bumps into an old flame Mac, who broke his heart years before and his younger sister who is beginning to copy all her mothers unpleasant traits. There’s action, humour and anguish as the emotions take a rollercoaster ride as Ash try’s to figure the best way to cope with his sister, the loss of brother and the revelations Mac lays on him about why she left him. I'm just so happy wrongs were righted, justice was served and they got their happily ever after.

Ash by jessie Cooke.

This book had my emotions all over the place. I cried and laughed a lot. I never knew what to expect, and it keeps you guessing.

I love Ash, he is hard headed, sweet and loyal. He loves his club, and will do anything for them. He tries and escapes his past.

I loved Mackenzie, she is sweet, sassy and strong minded. She will do anything for someone she loves, even if it is to keep them from hurting themselves.

I can't wait for more, and I recommend this book.

I have read (almost) all of JS Cooke’s Southside/Westside Skulls MC books and with each one I can see the change in her writing, her growth as an author. Ash has been through hell, he ran to California and found a new life, a good life with a family who loves him. When his father dies he’s thrown back into the world he ran from.

This book is one of her best works, love, loss, passion, betrayal, it’s all in there. 4.5 stars!
