a feminist collection of all female poetry, including themes of objectification, abortion, early motherhood, first kiss, body image, depression, and more
I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
This is a book of poetry for females jam packed with very deep and some a little disturbing, poems. Some poems I liked and some were just far too heavy for me to get my attention. Don't let this put you off though as that is just my opinion and preference. The poems cover many topics related to women and some may relate well to you as an individual.

A powerful and sincere anthology of pieces from many incredible female poets. The poems here cover a range of important themes and strike for the heart on every page.
Poetry collections that have different authors can be hit or miss for me. Just like anthologies of short stories, poetry can be the same, but I find that I don't tend to love poetry collections. I'm going to have to make a mental note of this and stop purchasing poetry collections from more than one author. I no longer have any motivation to read this collection and I picked it up to read a few more of the poems and I didn't feel any inclination to keep going.
this is gonna be short as fuck bc it's new year's eve and i just wanna get this over before 2023 and i have to restart my book tally for a new year lmao
this was a lovely way to end my reading year! i've been wanting to read more poetry collections lately, and i really liked the huge variety of writers and poetic styles in this collection. knocked off a couple stars bc some of the poems really just did not resonate with me, but a lot of them were delightful and i will be bookmarking them for future reference.
glad i could end the year on a good note! here's to lots more good books in 2023 :)
I found this book on my own in a small bookstore. I wasn’t expecting godly-writing when I picked it up, but boy was I given it anyway. There are definitely writers within this book that are better than others. My opinion of who’s the “better writer” may be different than yours, and that’s also why I love this book. Everyone enjoys different styles of poetry and this book explores them. Any feminist can pick it up and relate to at least part of it. It’s relatable. It’s genuine. It’s modern. And, god, is it powerful.
