Lexi is late for her cosmetology class. She races another car for the only parking space close to her building — and wins. She ignores the other driver’s string of not-terribly-creative cursing and threats, and scurries to class. However, when she comes out hours later, she freezes when she sees members of the local gang sitting on the hood of her car, waiting.

Terrified, Lexi rushes back inside to call her sister, who works for the local MC. Ten long minutes later, her sister tells her to go to the athletic center and wait for some guys on bikes, who’ll take her to her car and keep her safe.

Bubbles can’t believe how tiny the girl with the pastel blue, pink, and purple hair is, and wants to lash out at anyone who scared her. He and Slick get her into her car and away from school, and Bubbles follows her home to be sure she’s safe. When he realizes she lives in the heart of the gang’s territory, his protective instincts kick in and he takes her home with him.

Lexi’s nineteen and has been with two men her entire life. Bubbles is in his thirties and has had every sexual experience known to man. He’s a felon who’s spent serious time in prison and is still on parole. He’s the last kind of complication she needs in her life, but for such a gruff, giant of a man, he’s gentle with her. He makes her feel safe.

Little did Lexi know how drastically her life would change because she hit the snooze button one more time.

Bubbles is a supernovel at 125,000 words. His story can be read as a standalone if you haven’t read the other books in the series or universe.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.

Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.

Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.

Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

I can always count on Candace Blevins to keep me amused with her RTMC stories. Yes, there was a lot of drama and serious business to attend to but, at the heart of it all, Bubbles and Lexi seriously amused me.

Lexi was feisty and interesting, determined to make her own way in the world and has one hell of a mouth on her. She soon finds out that her habits and her mouth could get her in a wee bit of trouble. But, luckily, she has a sister that really cares about her and, eventually, a man that will do just about anything to keep her safe and happy.

Bubbles. Well, with a name like that you can't help but smile. You know there has to be a story behind it and it's so cute that you couldn't help but love it … and him. He is protective and does what needs to be done. He is sure that there isn't anyone out there that would want his sorry ass and is sure that Lexi will run when he finds out his past.

It's not his past that has Lexi questioning him but the present. The secrets he kept from her, the secrets he admitted to … her punishment for hitting the snooze button in the morning. She understands that they are mates … she loves that she's been accepted into the inner sanctum … she truly loves Bubbles and everything about him … now she has to accept everything that he is.

The RTMC series has kept me thoroughly entertained. There is just enough everything in every book. We can always count on some humor, some drama, a little bit of angst, a whole lot of unrestrained sex and even more kink. When Candace puts a story together, you are assured of an enjoyable and fascinating story.

A dominant werewolf catching the scent of a spunky little human equates to fun times. This book caught me off guard as I wasn't expecting a story featuring Bubbles. Who is Bubbles? Do I even care about Bubbles?

Since it is a Candace Blevins book, I looked forward to her driving. I hop on eagerly for the ride. I admit; I went into this story almost completely cold. I avoided all blurbs posted. I shied away from as much discussion ahead of time about this story. As it turns out, I don't care about Bubbles. He does nothing for me. I am surprised because usually, I feel intensely about her characters. I may loath them or I absolutely love them. This apathy is new to me. It isn't that Bubbles is bad. Or that Bubbles was created poorly. He is a well designed character who has an alpha male persona and he's not apologetic about it. I get it. His chemistry with Lexi is a bit off for me. Off in that, I didn't get into it. He's like window dressing that I could do without. Lexi on the other hand, I loved.

For those who have read Careful What You Ask For in Ms. Blevins' Chattanooga Supernaturals will most likely enjoy this book too. There are several similarities between Briana and Lexi. I absolutely adore Briana from the aforementioned book. I love everything about her and my heart bleeds for her past hurts and slights. Lexi conjures similar feelings. Lexi is a young adult 19 years of age with a good head on her shoulders. She grows up fast in the drug/gang world and she seeks a different life. Her brief couple of years enjoying foster life with law abiding white folks makes a huge impact on what she wants. It is admirable. Yet there is no way for her to fully escape because once involved in the thug life, it seems to cling on forever.

This is where the conflict arises and it's a tough one. Lexi straddles two worlds already as a bi-racial child whose been force to feel bad about one or the other identity. She teeters between the world of law abiding citizens and those who believe laws were made for other people or suckers. Now she enters the world of Motorcycle men who are in direct conflict with her past life with drug running gangs. It is a very delicate dance for Lexi to be neutral. Because even Switzerland is a country where their wealth is built off of other people's blood money and possessions. I digress.

Lexi enters a new world where the rules are familiar yet different. Navigating these shark infested waters is difficult because not only does she not know about the hidden world, her old world refuses to let her go. This novel is a character driven and it shows as Lexi takes us with her on this journey of self discovery. She learns to pull all the different pieces of herself and merge it into her own identity. Watching her sister and Bubbles support her in this journey is beautiful. I like the growth in Lexi. She may seem as if she has it all together, but there are some bratty still juvenile behaviours that requires time an experience to polish off. This leads me into my not so enamoured relationship with Bubbles.

The relationship dynamic between Bubbles and Lexi is kinky. I understand some consider this light and others consider it heavy because of the spanking and specifically the punishment belting. Some even consider a scene where a thug was brutally punished as heavy BDSM. Note to readers... that was not a BDSM scene. It was a straight out consequences like cutting off the hand of a thief. Nothing kinky about it. I digress again. The fact that Lexi takes advice from her sister to create a contract of negotiated punishments that are acceptable brings this to power exchange relationship. For me, power exchange is never to be taken lightly. (Yes, pun intended.) The problem I had with this is that the power exchange also came across a little like Daddy kink but Lexi isn't into Daddy kink and Bubbles didn't really want to be a Daddy. So is this more domestic discipline? Maybe. But perhaps the age difference and the bratty behaviour from Lexi unconsciously made this more Daddy kink without saying it is Daddy kink. And since Lexi didn't want or need a Daddy, sometimes, Bubbles just rubbed me the wrong way. His my way or the highway attitude many a times pissed me off. I get that this was designed as a conflict for Lexi and him to work out - which they did. I guess I could have done without the lecturing. It made sexy time... less sexy. And I started to resent Bubble's high handed manner even if theoretically he is not wrong. He's not perfect and this flaw does make him more realistic and adds character.

Speaking of sexy time... hello anal buster! I keep imaging Lexi with a "bubble" butt that Bubbles wants to bust. The anal training in this story is erotic and not for vanillas. For those who shiver in delight when anal training shows up in a story, this book is for you. The constant teasing and sexual tension is nicely done. Lexi's blushes and demure manner makes her that much more adorable. She is just so darn cute. There is a little something mentioned about Lexi that isn't revealed by the end of the story. I am hoping it shows up in one of the other books in this series in the Chattanooga series.

This erotic romance is recommended for kinky readers who love their motorcycle clubs and the ole ladies that tame them.

Can I give this book more than five stars???? Amazing! Totally lost myself into this book and hated having to put it down the few times I did.

It's been a long time since a book has grab such a hold of me and didn't let go, seriously this was a MEGA book and it just flew by. I'm talking over 500 pages and boom I'm done and still wanting more. If I could rate this more than five stars I would! Candace Blevins has created a wonderful paranormal universe for us to loose ourselves in with so many great characters that I honestly have a hard time picking a favorite at this point. If you are new to The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club Series no worries this book can be read on its own but I have to warn you once you read it an meet all the members of the RTMC you'll want to know how each of them got their HEAs and will windup going back to book one where it all started.

In Bubbles, we meet Lexi who is Betty Boop's sister. Betty works for the club so when her little sister finds herself in a bit of hot water she asks Slick and Bubbles for a favor. I am one hundred percent sure that Betty had no idea that Bubbles would be so taken with her younger sister or she may not have asked for his help. There is not only a significant age difference but also a size difference between the two, Lexi is 19 and not even five feet tall where as Bubbles is 36 and well over six feet....This makes for many interesting scenarios. :)

I will not go into to much detail because that will just spoil things but know that there are elements of BDSM and Domestic Discipline, if this offends you please pass over the book because I would hate to see anyone give this book a bad review because it contains this subject matter and you don't like it or agree with it or whatever reason you will come up with for trashing it. This book is well written and NEVER steps anywhere near domestic abuse.

I have recommended many books over the years but I can promise you if you enjoy Paranormal Romances with the Ultimate Alpha Male(s) and the kick ass women who love them you will not go wrong with this series. Each book has elements of BDSM and are extremely steamy but in addition to the hot sexy times you get a great story that has you looking for the next book like a crack whore looking for her next fix. Happy Reading my friends Happy Reading!!!

The name of the hero was the reason why I had to try this one out! Bubbles was his name but don't let the name fool ya'. He was all alpha male and a great protector for the feisty pixie heroine, Lexi. Did I tell you it was paranormal too. Loved this suspenseful romance and glad the the other books in the series can be read as standalones!

**Spoilers** First I want to point out that I did not know this book came with spanking as a punishment. Had I known, I wouldn't have read it as it really took me out of the story. This is the first book in the series I have read. So if you don't like that kind of thing, I don't recommend reading this.
That being said, I am writing this review based on writing and story line, not on my personal opinion of actions in the book.
What I liked:
I liked that Lexi is spunkey. She really understands street life and how to keep her mouth shut when needed and how to push the limits. She reminds me of a lot of 19 year olds I've known. She's got a good head on her shoulders.
Bubbles is an interesting character. He's cool and mostly emotionless unless around Lexi.
I liked the introduction of characters, and most character development. I understood what was going on, and I feel that I didn't really need to read the other books to understand plot lines. I'm sure it would have helped, but the author did a good job of bringing the reader up to speed.
Lexi and Etta are such wonderful sisters! How the ol'ladies really started to understand and accept Etta and some of the other "working girls" was really sweet and helped me connect to some of the characters.

What I didn't like:
Besides the spanking for punishment, which really took me out of the story, I didn't like the relationship between Bubbles and Lexi. I feel he mostly treated her like a daughter, or younger sister than a lover. While the sex scenes were steamy, it felt more like a incest relationship than anything. I feel like Bubbles didn't treat her like an adult, and the spanking for punishment really drove that home for me.
The relationship moved way too fast. While I understand love at first sight and all, I feel like they met and suddenly the were in bed, then he was basically obsessed with her. I also feel she pretty much developed a Stockholm syndrome kind of love for him. He kept her at his place for "protection" then would "punish" her for silly things, then would coddle her.
There was not enough action, and everything kind of just worked itself out. I'm going to elaborate more on this. Lexi got a gang idiot pissed at her. He tried to get back at her. At one point, they tried to kidnap her. That was the only action you got to have. I was so disappointed. The author really ramped up the idea that something would happen to Lexi. She would get abducted, maybe beat up, have to get in a fight, something... but other than the one case, nothing happened. I was really looking for that moment that Bubbles would have to rescue her for real, but it never happened. The one time where you thought something may have happened, and you finally got to kind of see where Bubbles really cares for her, nothing happened. I was so disappointed in that. Also, ramping up for this oncoming war... you didn't get any of the fun action of the guys going to blow up stuff. You instead got to listen to Lexi whine that she was worried, and then "hear" a new broadcasting that stuff blew up. It was a huge let down. I would have much rather had the action of the guys sneaking in or whatever they ended up doing. Some action would have been nice. Instead, the only action you get besides the one kidnapping is the spankings...
The author repeated information to an excess. In just one area the author repeated what had happened to Lexi in the parking log at school a minimum of 3 times. The fact that Lexi is part white and part black was probably repeated 5 times minimum. What happened with Bubbles in prison was repeated so much I lost count. There were other things that were repeated in excess as well, and it got annoying. To the point that if I had to read it again, I would probably have not finished the book. I understand that in real life, when someone new enters the conversation, you fill them in. In a novel... I don't need to read it over and over every time a new person walks in. It's frustrating and really takes me out of the story.
The story line skipped or moved too fast and it took me out of the story. Just when I would start to feel that connection between the 2 MCs that I was hoping for, something in the story would skip or fast forward, and I would lose all those feels. While I understand the story line needed to move along, if felt rushed most of the time.

I was really looking forward to this book as I thought it sounded so interesting and action packed! I was saddened that it lacked a lot of action. The romance could have been good, but a lot of it just felt forced. The relationship between Lexi and Etta was fantastic! I could really feel the sisterly bond! I even could feel the emotions of having a mother that is racist and addicted to drugs, but you still want to love her. Again though, I felt like that relationship just kind of fixed itself. While I'm glad the mother/daughter kind of worked things out, I feel like in real life, it wouldn't have been so easy. It was cute though and I enjoyed it.

All in all I'm giving it 2 stars because while I liked the underlying story line, I didn't like the relationship between the 2 MCs, and I didn't like how the story line skipped all over the place. I had a difficult time finishing this book as I had to keep putting it down out of frustration. The writing wasn't horrible, but there were a lot of plots and subplots and different story lines all competing to be the main objective in this book, and I feel like it was just too much. I didn't believe the relationship between the 2 MCs, and I really wanted to. I would have liked a little more development with them as a couple instead of separately. I would have liked a little more action with Lexi, even if Bubbles didn't save her. She could have even saved her self for all I cared. I just wanted more action!

Bubbles is a big, bad, biker, ex-con and werewolf. Lexi is multi-racial and has been through more in her 19 years than most folks will in a lifetime. She is street smart but still manages to retain an air of innocence that captivates Bubbles. The age differences between the two doesn’t really seem to make a difference except when Bubbles has to remember that part of growing up is learning from mistakes and he needs to allow Lexi to make those mistakes even if it puts him in the position of having to punish her for them. The dynamic between the two is sweet. This story takes us deeper into the MC and readies us for the coming war. This is a surprisingly sweet and sexy story. I expected the sexy but the sweet was an unexpected delight.

I have read this entire series and after each book I wonder how the author will be able to make the current book better than the last but she does it every time. I love something about each couple in this series and Bubbles and Lexi are no exception. This series is a must read.

This was book 12 in the "Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club" series. Lexi is running late for her class at the local college when she gets into it with one of the guys from the local gang when they are waiting for her when she gets out she calls her sister Etta who is a working girl for the club. Bubbles is a big hot and sexy biker who is a wolf shifter who recently moved to the new chapter from Atlanta after he got out of prison. This was a really good book Lexi who is 19 years old has a mother who is not only a drug addict but she also works cooking and mixing drugs for the cartel I did not like her mother who is black and Lexi who is a trick baby and looks white she treated her kids bad. I loved how Bubbles became very protective of the innocent Lexi. I loved what Bubbles did to the guy that wanted kill her. Lexi's nineteen and has been with two men her entire life. Bubbles is in his thirties and has had every sexual experience known to man including how he got by in prison. Lexi had a lot of growing up to do she was always running late and Bubbles had to teach her it is important to be on time. I also liked that she wasn't a push over and when Gen got in her face because her sister is a working girl I never understood that about Gen she is married to the head of a motorcycle club and she is still a prude. I love the way Candace writes this book had some really hot sexy sex scenes Bubbles has a really big penis and Lexi is small she is 4"10 and he has to work her up to being able to take all of him Lexi is also frustrated because her sister Etta had sex with Bubbles and she can take him in all ways and she was feeling less than because she couldn't. I loved this book and this series although this book felt like their maybe a part two to it. This book was well written like the rest of the books in this series. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I really liked Lexi and Bubbles, liked how they maneuvered through the complications of their relationship, but at times it felt like the author was beating a dead horse with the repetitive events (being late) and all the training of handling rough sex. I did really like that Lexi was able to stand up for herself at times, to Gen when she was being a bitch, to the cops when they were out fishing, to her mother when enough was finally enough. I really liked how Lexi truly saw how the MC was a family, through good and bad they were there for each other and those that they considered theirs.

With the events at the end it will be interesting to see what happens next, will a war break out or did will it end before it can be started due to actions taken.

I loved this couple, completely and utterly loved them <3 I also loved their story, this world, and all the characters contained therein

When you don't give trust easily, when everyone you should have been able to rely on in life let you down, but you still go forward and don't let that hold you back, that is Lexi in the simplest of terms. When you should have been suspicious of everything in your life, but you know to trust your brothers, and you know your place with them, that is Bubbles

These two shouldn't work, but they do. Lexi has a lot of baggage, but it doesn't weigh her down. She is tough, and vulnerable; brave, and scared; wanting to run, but realizing, slowly, this is where she wants to be. Bubbles takes such amazing care for her, he rearranges everything so she is happy, healthy, safe, secure, and gets what she wants. Her needs seem so simple to him, he wants to give her everything. He feels bad when he messes up, and only wants to get thing right. He isn't a pushover, he is a dominant, but he wants his woman to be happy

They have some tribulations and troubles, but at the end of it all, they only want each other, and their love story is all the sweeter because they made it through all those things. They are also crazy sexy together, so that helps too!

I love that while in this series Ms. Blevins writes her males large and in charge Dominant Alphas, she also writes strong mates for them and this book is no exception.
Lexi is a 4'10" nineteen year old college student determined to overcome a more than difficult childhood. It has made her mature for her age in some ways and yet still retaining a sweet nature with an ability to live life joyfully.
Then there's Bubbles, a 6'7" werewolf who is a felon, still on parole and in a motorcycle club that has him skirting the edge of being law-abiding. Oh yes and he's 36 years of age making him a lot older.
At first it seems like a romance of opposites attract and then we are shown how they have similar backgrounds. Bubbles has been around a lot and he's had time to deal with his history while Lexi's almost an innocent and still has a lot of unsettled background.
This is an endearing romance which showcases these characters beautifully and makes you want to share their love story. I'm glad to have had the chance and hope you also take advantage of the opportunity to share it with them. You will find it's worth it.

Lexie and Bubbles.
How unlikely a pairing can you get?
She, tiny, tough, still in her teens, with an air of innocence in spite of the blows life has already dealt her.
Him, a mountain of a man, ex-convict with supernatural strength, in his thirties, with a protective and dominant streak a mile wide.
Regardless of all their differences, they are made for each other.
They have some obstacles to overcome, but the way they master them is a true delight to read.
The difference in size and the solution of the problem is one of the most "interesting" to follow.
This is another addition to the RTMC's couples, and meeting all of them again as they welcome those two into their ranks, is like a family reunion.

A sweet romance between a big werewolf biker and a little half pint biracial girl from the "hood". Lexi meets Bubbles when her perpetual lateness gets her in trouble when she beats a gang member to the last parking space. As their romance blossoms, heh, we get to have more of the MC regulars interact with this storyline. As the crossover series Only Human ties in with this one, we see the upcoming war escalate. Very nice worldbuilding with multiple characters. Lexi has a moving backstory with her mother and sister, and we get to hear how Bubbles got his nickname. Mild BDSM. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I liked bubbles & Lexi as individuals. I wasn’t a fan of them as a couple mostly bc it felt like parenting & the sex just wasn’t compatible imo. Bubbles was rocky road & Lexi was french vanilla. She was familiar with kink, did not judge & respected that some people liked sex but talking or trying kinky new things wasn’t something in her. In short I felt Bubbles dragged whinny Lexi into kink till she accepted it & learned to like the very basics. That said i enjoyed the forward momentum on the overall arc. It’s great to see how the war is leaking into other supernaturals daily lives & business. Candace has woven a tight overall arc throughout this & her only human series. 3.5 stars

I was a little bit concerned going into this book about Lexi only being 19. I had visions of her being a “typical teenager”. She was anything but. I loved the way Candace Blevins approached her character. Not your typical teen, but one who is mature for her age yet still has things to learn. I ended up really enjoying her. And Bubbles? Well, he is just awesome. They worked so well together and I could easily identify with some of their struggles. They definitely added a realistic edge to the story. Once again, another great story in the RTMC series. I loved it.

Gah!. I keep getting sucked into this universe. This is a long book but it didn't feel long at all. This book takes us further into the coming good vs evil war and introduces us to new factions.

Bubbles is an interesting character. I liked him and I liked Lexi but i didn't like when it was described that he was carrying her on his hip. I get that she is tiny and he is huge but that just put me off. The domestic discipline came on pretty quick but it seemed to work for them.

I was a little annoyed that they introduced Davy and then just forgot he was even part of the book.

Looking forward to the next book.

This was not my favorite book by this author. I struggled with the lack of deeper cultural elements that would have made this book in my opinion ( with the author putting a spot light on race) < I don’t know how to word that better. But it comes up quite a bit.
As someone who has not read the Only Human series The ending felt abrupt and Unsatisfying. I love this series but I don’t want to feel like I have to read a whole different series to get the complete story. I loved bubbles and Lexi was interesting. All together I can say this book was 3.5 stars for me.

Release Day! Bubbles (Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club #12 / Kirsten O'Shea Universe) Candace Blevins!

NOTE: Bubbles is a supernovel at 545 pages. This story can be read as a standalone if you haven't read the other books in the series or universe.
------------------------------------------

Lexi is late for her cosmetology class. She races another car for the only parking space close to her building -- and wins. She ignores the other driver's string of not-terribly-creative cursing and threats, and scurries to class. However, when she comes out hours later, she freezes when she sees members of the local gang sitting on the hood of her car, waiting.

Terrified, Lexi rushes back inside to call her sister, who works for the local MC. Ten long minutes later, her sister tells her to go to the athletic center and wait for some guys on bikes, who'll take her to her car and keep her safe.

Bubbles can't believe how tiny the girl with the pastel blue, pink, and purple hair is, and wants to lash out at anyone who scared her. He and Slick get her into her car and away from school, and Bubbles follows her home to be sure she's safe. When he realizes she lives in the heart of the gang's territory, his protective instincts kick in and he takes her home with him.

Lexi's nineteen and has been with two men her entire life. Bubbles is in his thirties and has had every sexual experience known to man. He's a felon who's spent serious time in prison and is still on parole. He's the last kind of complication she needs in her life, but for such a gruff, giant of a man, he's gentle with her. He makes her feel safe.

Little did Lexi know how drastically her life would change because she hit the snooze button one more time.

SUPER! That word applies to every part of this novel, it is long, thrilling and blazing hot…

Lexi and Bubbles singe readers and burn up the pages from the very first meeting with their sizzling chemistry and since these two strong, fascinating characters easily draw readers along with them as their relationship progresses, readers should prepare to feel the burn. The romance is daring and full of flames as the passion explodes from the pages although Bubbles and Lexi does have a few ups and downs throughout the relationship and the characters are easily understood and are easy to connect with making it easy for readers to really become caught up in the story.

The story is long but it flows smoothly with a fast paced that holds reader’s in its grip from start to finish and there is never a dull moment to be found. This is because of the all the passion and romance but also because of the dangerous and intense situation regarding the gang that has targeted Lexi, some intense emotional social interactions between new friends and some between family and of course the police who seem intent on locking the club and anyone that has anything to do with them up .

The thrills and excitement also comes from having the Rolling Thunder MC around because they are one hot and daring group of shifters but this stimulating story also portrays drastic life style changes as well as world altering modifications as it has some passionate encounters that stretches Lexi’s emotional world and how she embraces her life.

Readers won’t be able to get enough of Bubbles and Lexi as their story is a super enthralling and explosive one that keeps readers hanging on to the edge of their seat from the very beginning.

Candace Blevins has published more than forty books. She lives with her husband of 20 years and their two daughters. When not working or driving young teens all over the place, she can be found reading, writing, meditating, or swimming. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhound is usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company.

Candace writes Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Contemporary BDSM Romance, and a kick-ass Motorcycle Club series.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, and three different species of vampires exist, as well as a variety of other mythological beings.

Candace’s two paranormal romance series, The Chattanooga Supernaturals and The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club, are both sister series to the Only Human books, and gives some secondary characters their happily ever after. Her three paranormal series are written so you can read one series, or all three, should you prefer only a particular genre.

Her Safeword Series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each book in the Safeword series highlights a couple with a different take on the lifestyle.

Candace Blevins knocks another one out of the park! Short review - Read this book because it is a fun, entertaining, exciting romantic read!

This novel has so many aspects to it (love, discovery, race issues, paranormal issues, budding relationship, learning to adult, spanking, parent issues, over-arching plot points from the series) that make me love it!

The title character, Bubbles, is in my top 5 of the guys from RTMC. Bubbles is a large 36y felon on parole at the time we meet him. He has to be on the straight and narrow with his actions, so we don't see much of the side businesses of the RTMC this time. He meets Lexi (the sister of one of the side characters we've seen in prior books). She's a petite 19 yo student at a local trade college who gets on the wrong side of the local gang. On paper, they are a huge misfit couple - age, looks, race, were/human, size. Those differences are full of potential, both good and bad.

I was fascinated by the almost unwilling attraction they had for each other at the beginning of the book. Seeing them come to terms with wanting the other, in all of the differences as well as the similarities, was both heart-warming and HOT! Bubbles is dominant, as are all the shifters we've met that are in RTMC. Lexi is inexperienced in relationships and is drawn to that dominance in him.

Bubbles and Lexi both have to make adjustments in order to have a good relationship. The fact that it is both of them and not just Lexi made me very happy. The relationship conflicts were real and handled very well, with just a few hiccups. I liked both characters so much for all they did to change themselves for the better for each other.

While this book could be read as a stand-alone, I think you would miss out on so much if you did. It does further the over-arching plot of this series, the Chattanooga Supernaturals series and the Kirsten O'Shea series.

I have seen this series before and cringed at the cost. (for an unread author and series)..this one was up for .99 so thought I would try it and maybe go read the others. The story line was good, I have a big problem in books that point out the BLACK and WHITE race of the story characters - it isn't necessary and we are all people... now with that said.. There are ways to write the information without a big pointing out the black and white issue - I can see where it came to play in this story and characters so I let it go and continued reading....the other issue I didn't care for is the "spanking" it borderlines on abuse. Its often more than a spanking and for the Size of Bubbles and Lexi there is no way she could take what he dished out and not get seriously hurt... a part was left hanging 1) the majority of the story is her issue with the Playas/Marlin then it just stops - yes some of the Playas turn up stupid but the issue was never handled and ended and they move on to the "big" issue of the drug cartel which carries over into the next book.. that I can see and understand BUT what happened to Marlin and the issue with Lexi?? 2) For a shifter series, the ONLY time there was anything was when Lexi was being shown and only then 1 shifter turned. How can you label it a shifter book without shifting? Yes the sight and smells but still a shifter book should have shifting into the animal as part of the story..... I don't know if I will pay the high costs of the other books, this one I will give a 2 star too but not sure I will read the entire series...

Candace Blevins does it again with her next book in the Rolling Thunder MC series with Bubbles. This book is more than a wild ride it is a journey for both Bubbles and Lexi as the story unfolds. Bubbles is a 6’7’, 36-year-old man that is a werewolf enforcer in the MC and was just released from prison. Lexi is a 4’10, 19-year-old who knows everything like most 19-year-old. She is streetwise and intelligent beyond her years but still has much to learn. Lexi has had two upbringings that have made her who she is. Candace created another heroine who is not only strong but has a steel spine. Just another reason that I love all her books.

Bubbles comes to her rescue after a parking incident and takes her in to protect and soon is unable to resist her. But as he tries to help his half-pint Lexi grow he rides a fine line of lover and parent at times. Lexi is a headstrong woman determined to make a life for herself. She has all the answers but bad habits that grate on Bubbles nerves. On paper, you wouldn’t think this relationship would work especially with the age difference. Yet they seem to be what each other needs. Lexi gives Bubbles life and fun. And Bubbles gives her expectations and the family she needs.

This book ties in with the Only Human series but you can read this a standalone. I highly suggest you read the entire Rolling Thunder MC series for a full grasp of all the characters and to fall more deeply in love with these two. Candace may provide a happily ever after in her books, but they are still filled with conflict, strife, paranormal and real-life issues. Nothing is easy in life and nothing comes easy for any of the characters Candace brings to life. The women she brings to life are not the frail women who need a man to rescue her but women who have a backbone and can stand up for themselves and for their families. Not only are the men a force to be a reckon with but so are the women. Candace creates characters you can identify with and love and become part of their world. That is exactly what happened with Bubbles, I became part of their world and unable to put Bubbles down once I picked it up.

Bubbles' story is what I'd call "RTMC-Plus". Its a classic RTMC character story, but it also has an edgier feel with respect to the MC and its inner workings. I like that a lot. And I loved the glimpses into what might be the RTMC role in the coming conflict in the supernatural world. With the participation of the characters of the Only Human cross-over series it certainly feels exponentially closer, and I am definitely an "Only Human" series fan as well. And that was definitely not a digression, but back to the characters at hand...

Lexi was an interesting character to read, because despite the age difference with her and Bubbles, and the fact that she was extremely young chronologically, she was old in the ways of the street and a life hard-lived. She was also very goal-oriented and not about to compromise those goals for anyone. This is a Blevins hallmark, these strong women, and I do love the individual journeys they take to find, accept and be the person they are at their core. Their choice, their way.

Initially I found Bubbles to be a bit detached and hard to embrace as a character, never mind as the book hero. But as his story revealed itself, combined with how he took his own journey alongside Lexi, he actually became one of the more embraceable heroes of the series. These two characters would not seem to fit on paper, but through trial and error and honesty, they developed a loving relationship of deep substance.

Apart from each story within the RTMC series being a great, free-standing relationship story, I really feel that when you read all of the books and put the stories together for the greater-community picture, the weave of deep character with some compelling paranormal goings-on is bang-on in a way few authors can touch.

I can't recommend this book, this series, and the companion series ('Only Human' and 'Chattanooga Supernaturals') highly enough. Its a great place to get lost for a while...

Until halfway through this book, I thought Candace really managed a lite story.
But when Lexie gets introduced to the MC and gets closer, not quite in, things change. It was already great but it gets even better!

There are lots of people in this story, most of whom I’ve learned about in the other books, and because of that it really feels like one big family.
There are quite a few sadists, but the participants go in choosing to do so. But if they’re out, they are not going back in. The cruel things make me appreciate my world so much more!

Bubbles seemed like a softie at first, but now I know that’s not true.
Sure he has his soft spots, who doesn’t?

Would I recommend reading this?
Of course! Another five star book!

NL:

After reading this book, I have an difficult task of leaving a review cause I keep turning around and expecting Bubbles to come at me for a spanking :)
this is sooooo hot, I have a hard time concentrating. this book, the characters and the story is funny, romantic, more vanilla (compared to other books in Candace library) with butt tingling spanking :) and the backdrop of the big fight and tension in the area make it even more a #MUSTread.
Bubbles and Lexi (Blossom) - its a opposite-attract couple goal, she's small and he is more in the giant category, she is always late and he is a drill Sargent, she is laid back and he is ... well a werewolf- always in predator mode :)
It was interesting and really fun to read how they progressed.
Since I started reading all the Candace Blevins books, the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club and Only human series have a brewing #BIGbattle "good vs. evil" in the background and this book only light the already burning fire for it!! if you read the other books in the order you still feel the tension in the relations from Razor's book, and I'm tied in knots for things to back to normal (with Candace and her muse - you never know) so this book was ever more nerve racking but I love to see all the characters that I love back in action and being themselves again.

now, if you will excuse me, I need to badger and plead and threaten a certain author for more info about the #BIGbattle

Candace Blevins always on point with her stories and the characters she creates. RTMC series is a favorite of mine her latest in the series BUBBLES never falters from her continued talent.

Well after reading I can say I was like a see-saw with my feelings, I was annoyed then was like oh aw, then annoyed. Bubbles and Lexi are wonderful characters but yeah I found myself wanting to strangle both of them at various times. *laughs*

I had to keep telling myself Lexi was young, very street smart but still young and her actions are just belying that. For Bubbles I was like dude you need to let that @#$%* go move on already. Then my brain had to round out and remember both of their reasons for doing believing and acting like they did. Oh and before I forget Gen is still a rude heifer and her reasonings just excuses, who gave her leave to be all judgy. Totally loved Matty.

The road to learning to be a "responsible" adult had a few bumps in the road, but you got to give it to her she has a lot of heart. Oh and gotta love the brothers right? just shows you don't have to be blood to be family.

Candace was primed with detail from the what color am I? to what, no they don't exist! the LEO descriptions, the punishments as well as the passion and love. The story was long but flowed well and easy to get back into when you had to put it down. Bubbles is an awesome addition to the series. enjoy

This was another five star story in the RTMC club series. This one features Lexie a 19 year old student and Bubbles a 36 year old ex con readjusting to life outside of prison. I loved the complexity of Lexie's character. Life with a mom in the drug scene wasn't easy, and she obviously had to grow up fast, yet other times she seems to possess the innocence of a typical 19 year old college student. I also thought the author did a really good job detailing her struggle as a biracial woman.

Just like all the RCMC guys, Bubbles possesses his own moral code. It doesn't always line up with society's but it works for him. He seems to be a wee bit gruffer than some of the other leads, but it seemed to work for the story.

I love that the author keeps getting kinkier with the series...kinda like she was determined to keep it vanilla, but just couldn't help throwing in a little kink. This one almost reached a point of feeling like a blend between RTMC and a muted version of The Safeword series.

I was a little disappointed that this one ended where it did. I was really hoping to get a little further in to the battle that continues to brew, but alas it gives me something to look forward to in the next book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The best of the later RTMC series. Bubbles and Lexi are engaging characters and I liked that supernatural politics were brought down to a personal level in this installment. Lexi comes to the relationship with a ton of family baggage (particularly given how young she is) and it was wonderful to see Bubbles support her as she works it out. Unlike some other "young" characters in the series (particularly Briana), Lexi does act her age and matures through the book, coming to understand why her lateness is a form of disrespect to her teachers.
Bubbles gets pretty sadistic at some points, and some of his punishments were hard to read, but I always felt he loved Lexi, which I wasn't always sure of in Bash, Gonzo and Ghost. Those heroes say "I love you" quite a bit, but I didn't really feel it the way I did in Bubbles, Brain and Razor, which are the high points of the series for me.
The overlap between this series and the "Only Human" series with the war between the supernaturals comes front and center in the last third of this novel and it may be a little confusing for readers unfamiliar with the "Only Human" series, but this book kept it very focused on Lexi and her family in a way that I really liked.
Looking forward to the next book in the series!
