Hunter

Not every stag is bold enough to break up a wolf fight, but when I saw who was being attacked, I had to step in. I've had a thing for the sweet young wolf for months, and if that wasn't temptation enough, he's right on the edge of his heat. I told myself years ago that I'd never take another Omega to my bed, but Soren has me breaking all my rules. One night won't hurt, right?

Soren

Of course, the Alpha that saves me from my deranged uncle has to be the yummy older guy I've been crushing on for months. And apparently, the feeling's mutual. But the best night of my life turns into a nightmare when I realize I'm pregnant. Hunter made it clear that he doesn't want a child--or a mate for that matter--but he's the only Alpha I've ever trusted...

Loving Soren is a 40,000 word shifter Mpreg with no cliffhangers or cheating. Every book in the Shifters of Greymercy series stands alone and comes with a guaranteed HEA.

This book definitely put me through the emotional ringer, but I enjoyed every damn second of it! And there were tears... lots of tears, especially the last section... all happy mind you, but tears nevertheless! Just love the way Ms. Gray writes straight from her heart with characters that force you kicking and screaming to fall in love with them! Now on to the next book of the series!!!

I read the first and second book in this series back to back, and I enjoyed both of them. I can't really say which I liked better, because they both had some little things that bugged me in each story, but I might lean towards the first story still being my favorite.

In this one, I felt like Hunter went from not wanting kids and a relationship to loving Soren too quickly, but at the same time he still didn't officially mate with him at any point in this story. Also, I don't feel like enough time was really spent on going into Hunter's backstory and why he didn't want a mate or kids again to really have me empathize with him. Things just seemed quick for Hunter's personality.

I loved Soren so much, but I wish he had gotten a bit of a better romance and maybe a better epilogue, too. Will keep my eyes out for the next book in this series, as I would definitely keep reading.

2.5 Stars. This is a pretty ordinary shifter mpreg read. Soren is a sweetie and it is fun to have buck shifter bad ass hero paired with an omega wolf.

There are tone of triggers in this book with two attempted rapes and the lost of a spouse and child discussed However, those events weren't skillfully handled and thus there is a lack depth here in character and plot development that would make this a more memorable read

Schade, dass es schon vorbei ist. Ein Hirsch - Alpha und ein Wolf-Omega. Natürlich wieder mit Drama und Action und Sex. Auch hier ein Wohlfühlbuch, das ich geradezu inhaliert habe.

3 stars. Nowhere near as good as the first book but there's just something about this series that I really love. The characters are great and well developed for the books to be short and the writing is great.

I've been waiting on this book since I read the first one a few months ago and while I can't say I was disappointed, I was still expecting more. This one doesn't hold the same emotional punch as the first one and the relationship between our two main characters left quite a lot to be desired.

Soren is such a sweet character. Almost too a fault. He started off great but by the end I definitely felt like he settled with Hunter. He was being dragged along like a love sick puppy (heh. no pun intended) and it got on my nerves because I feel like he should've been more firm and put his foot down more. His ending, while happy, doesn't feel all that sure because it feels like Hunter could still flake out and leave at any moment. None of the romantic elements felt concrete.

I didn't dislike Hunter but I definitely feel as if he could've been developed better. He went from wanting nothing to do with Soren because he doesn't want to take a mate again to all of a sudden loving him. The span of how all this happens felt rushed and I never got genuine love from Hunter towards Soren. His backstory is definitely tragic but felt kind of tacked on so that Hunter had an excuse to push Soren away/drag him along.

Overall, I was just expecting more and I wanted the romance to be just as wonderful as the one in the first book but it just didn't deliver for me. I do hope that there's more books to come in this series though because I do really enjoy them.

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

When your past catches you, will an Alpha step up to protect you?

This is a great addition to the Shifters of Greymercy. My old friends welcomed me back into their lives. Everything fell into place. Yes, there are nightmares and fears. An old enemy shows up. A hero arises. Souls are bared, and new life begins. This book will enchant you.
Soren has had a rough life. Saved from his uncle by his brother, Soren doesn't trust alphas. Until he meets the older man at the garden store. Hunter lost his mate & daughter years ago. He has vowed never to let another omega in his bed or heart. But his stag wants the little wolf. When Soren is attacked by his uncle, Hunter rescues him, and takes him home. But Soren is in heat and in need of an alpha, one he trusts... and he trusts Hunter.
A one night stand turns into something more. The ice around Hunter's heart thaws. Secrets are revealed. A danger is solved. And twins make their appearance. You will love this book! I can't wait for the next in the series.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

Meh!

Sadly, this book is not as good as book 1. It starts OK but as soon as Soren gets pregnant it switches to FM romance themes with Soren becoming the woman in his actions and temperament. At this point the angst shoots off the scale as both Soren and Hunter vie to see who can be the most pathetic.
It pushed me out of the story and I no longer cared to finish.

Good

I like Soren and Hunter as a couple but I think the story of of the mate and child's death wasn't given nearly enough thought especially given Hunter reluctance to fully mate Soren. The abrupt end to the story was kinda a key down really wanted a more secure happy ending.

Lovable story

Loving Soren is filled with two 'broken' shifters who fight against themselves and an unexpected situation that they have been thrust into. Their story shows that love can be something worth fighting for.
