America has fallen. Amidst the chaos of a nation that is tearing itself apart only one hope remains. A convoy of weapons must make its way north into Canada and Shepherd, a man on the edge already, seems like the last person to volunteer. Except he doesn't and unless he survives to deliver his rig to the right people, his girlfriend Nat will suffer. Across nuclear wastelands and past marauding outlaws Shepherd must drive but will he make it in time to both save his country and the woman he loves?
This short story, set after the events of 'Project 16', tells the tale of another pair of lives across the pond who desperately hope that there might be a life for them beyond the end of the world.
Amazon bestselling author of over 15 titles including the post-apocalyptic ‘Tales from the Brink’ series, the Miller & Riley books and the sci-fi military series TRIDENT.
I love many of this author's works. His writing is always interesting. I liked this book, a lot. Mr. Pass lives in the UK. This book is about the USA. Mr. Pass uses cultural references common in the UK but, not as common to Americans. This does not bother me. Just be aware when reading. It's short, easy to read and different but in a good way. Not his best work but, I recommend it.
