INTERNATIONAL #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR WHO SEES ANGELS PHYSICALLY
Lorna Byrne is an international number 1 bestselling author (her last two books have gone straight in at #1 on the UK Sunday Times Chart) with more than a million readers around the world. Her books, Angels in my Hair, Stairways to Heaven, A Message of Hope from the Angels and Love from Heaven have been translated into 30 languages.
Lorna has been seeing angels since she was a baby. Very unusually, she sees angels physically with as much clarity as the rest of us see people and she sees them every day. This diminutive, soft-spoken, uneducated Irish woman who did not talk about what she was seeing until seven years ago, says she has no idea why she can see angels when others can’t, adding that she is just an ordinary person.
While it is difficult to believe that someone can see angels physically the clarity and hope inherent in Lorna’s message that everyone regardless of religion has a guardian angel, has made her a world-wide phenomenon. She has been featured extensively in respected European media - including BBC TV and Radio, The Economist, The Observer, The Telegraph, The Times, The Catholic Herald. She is a blogger for the Huffington Post.
, Few who have spoken with Lorna Byrne fail to be impressed by the wisdom and humility of this Irish woman. The overwhelming response of her more than a million readers all around the world is that knowing that Lorna sees a guardian angel with everyone has given them the belief that they have a guardian angel. They say that this assurance gives them tremendous hope and comfort, particularly in these challenging times.
An important part of Lorna’s message is that she sees a guardian angel with everyone regardless of religion (or lack of religion). She talks of the guardian angel as the gatekeeper of the soul. Lorna frequently speaks to and prays with groups from different faiths and says that interfaith prayer is particularly powerful.
¡Recomendadisima!
Angels By Lorna Byrne...I won this book through Goodreads. The author can see and talk to angels. Angels give hope to make things possible for people. We all have guardian angels. They protect us and love us. Some angels look white or like a shinning crystal, others appear golden. There is always a bright light with the appearance of Angels . Prayer is a powerful tool in our lives. The author says we all have the grace of healing that is within each of us. Letting others see your joy helps them find happiness too. Acts of kindness is an example to others done with in a group. No one dies alone, your guardian angle is with you. The author was so sincere about her feelings and what Angels have done for her and what they can do for all of us. Since God created us in his image we are more than Angels ourselves.
Loved this book. Sometimes books are not just about how well the author writes, but how well they do to your soul! And there is no doubt in my mind that this book soothes the Soul and cheers the heart. A true inspiration!
I would give this a 4.5. I very much enjoyed this book. Lorna Byrne can see guardian angels. She has seem them since she was a small child. she offers hope to the world about what she has seen and heard from the guardian angels. I have heard over the years that everyone of us have a guardian angel. they love us deeply and look over us where ever we go. Lorna Byrne comfirms this. I found this book very comforting and soothing. in this sometimes very harsh and cruel world I like to know that there is an angel over me. she can actually see them and hear their messages. Each chapter has prayers for a category that people can use. Such as forgiving. and for hope, or when someone is in bad health. I am not a deeply religious person but i do pray on occasion. I found this to be of real comfort. and may actually use some of the prayers mentioned.
This is a short book. Fairly quick read. I really enjoyed the stories and the prayers. I had finished Angels in my Hair before I read this. It was odd that at the end the prayers were so perfect for situations that have materialized in my life in the past couple days. Thanks Lorna and the Angels, once again.
It gave me hope and helped me with my faith. I just don't think she's the greatest writer. But it challenged me and my skepticism. So I appreciate it for what it is. And it was a generous gift for me from someone who recognized how lost I was, and for that I am grateful.
This book totally blew my mind. I loved Angels in My Hair as well but this one was even more powerful. So thankful to her for sharing her story and giving us hope.
(I read this book in 2019. As of March 26, 2022 I have updated my review)
This review is for the three books by Lorna Byrne: Angels in My Hair, Angels at My Fingertips, and A Message of Hope From the Angels.
I have to admit that as a Catholic, I am skeptical. Ms. Byrne appears to be a very nice woman. In fact, she mentions she is shy and doesn’t have a lot of friends. She also mentions that as a child, she would often be called “retarded.” She is also dyslexic, so she has a hard time reading and writing. These things may be true, but part of me wants to be cautious because a person can claim these things because they allow others to automatically feel sorry for her, which in turn could blind them from the truth. I don’t intend to speak harshly about Ms. Byrne as a person, nor do I disrespect her at all. But there are things she has says in her books that I find questionable. For example, I am bewildered why Ms. Byrne, in the three books that I have read, never refers to the Mother of Jesus as Mary. Not once. She’s labeled as Queen of Angels, Queen of Heaven, Queen of all souls, etc., which Mary is all those things and a lot more, but I am unsure why she was never called Mary. For some reason, this really bothers me.
Another example is that Ms. Byrne speaks about her experiences sitting on God’s lap, walking and talking with Him, even playing with Jesus, as a little boy, running around the Tree of Life. As far as I know, not even the most holiest of saints did these things. But I may be wrong. She also had an encounter with Saint Francis of Assisi. She witnessed him praying over seeds and turning them into bread to feed the birds. The angels don’t explain why they show Ms. Byrne these experiences, which makes it even more difficult for the reader to comprehend or appreciate.
Catholics believe in angels and guardian angels. But we don’t believe in naming them. According to Father Chad Ripperger, we should not ask for their names, nor do we need to know them. Ms. Byrne says that we already know our guardian angel’s name. If we think of the first word that comes to our mind, then that’s its name. She also says it’s okay to name them whatever name we want. But the Vatican says that we are not allowed to do this because we have no authority over our guardian angel. Father Ripperger said that naming our guardian angel “….Is a sin of usurpation in which we assume an authority we do not have” (https://youtu.be/8WMjnJmgpn4). God has already named His angels, and we will learn their names when we go to Heaven.
I also have misgivings about Ms. Byrne’s soul being taken to the scene of the crucifixion. She describes the scourging at the pillar. Archangel Michael was there with her. She saw the angels surrounding Jesus during the flogging. Archangel Michael says to Ms. Byrne, “All of the angels here and all of the archangels are pouring love out on to Jesus to give him strength, even though he thinks God has abandoned him” (AAMF p. 335). Archangel Michael says that during the scourging, Jesus thought God abandoned Him!? I don’t believe Jesus felt that His Father abandoned Him; even in his agony during the nailing of the cross. But she continues describing her vision: “I could see the pain and hurt of not understanding what was happening – why was his father in heaven allowing this? I could see the anguish of not understanding why his father didn’t do something” (p. 342). Jesus already knew about His suffering on the cross before it happened. He even told His disciples multiple times about His suffering and His resurrection. Why depict Jesus in this manner? Why depict Him as not having faith in His own Father? Perhaps it is to lead us astray from God Himself. This is a huge red flag.
Throughout her books, Ms. Byrne says that she often asks the angels questions, but she normally does not receive answers. She simply does what they say. The angels sometimes just smile at her, without saying a word; sometimes they plainly ignore her; and sometimes the angels say a dismissive “I have to go” and they vanish. Ms. Byrne mentioned how the souls of our loved ones are in both heaven and with us at the same time. She spoke of hearing her mother’s voice at times. “She’s always just behind me. I never turn around because the angels tell me I must not, but it is lovely just to hear her voice.” Why isn’t Ms. Byrne allowed to turn around? She (or the reader) is not given an explanation. These kinds of occurrences happen a lot in her books. It’s important to remember that the Bible says there will be false prophets and teachers. “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: … and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matt. 24:3–8).
One of the themes in the books is that Ms. Bryne usually promotes the same message: that we are all God’s children and that He loves each and every one of us. While I do believe in the message, the angels don’t encourage Ms. Byrne to write about worshiping God or spreading the Good News. This passage sums up her overall message: “It is important to enjoy the gift of life, to be able to love, to have emotions, to have compassion, to allow yourself to feel peace within your heart and to recognize all the gifts that are around you. It is important to realize how much you are loved unconditionally. Mankind are all God’s children. That is why angels are here helping mankind to grow spiritually, to awaken them to feel peace and love in holy places” (AAMF p. 177). This is a great and beautiful message, but this is the only kind of message Ms. Byrne promotes. It’s a message that focuses on oneself; not Jesus. She also says, “Religious groups need to stop wanting to convert people” (AMOHFTA p. 167). In AIMH, Ms. Byrne says, “Your religion makes no difference to the angels; they have told me that all churches should be under one roof. Muslims, Jews, Protestants, Hindus, Catholics, and all the other different religions should be together under one umbrella” (p. 29). I agree that angels are with each person on this earth, regardless of religion. But according to what Ms. Byrne says, how can Hinduism, Buddhism, Scientology, and even Satanism (because it is a religion), become one? How can a religion that believes is many gods become like a Christian religion that believes in one God? If she says we need to stop converting people, how are we to come under one God? Is she saying it is okay to believe in other gods? Again, this is not very clear since she does not explicitly say to worship the one true God. Her messages are too sugar-coated, which leaves me to think that she is being tricked by something sinister.
“I have asked God and the angels why all marriages cannot be made in Heaven, but I have been given no answer” (AMOHFTA p. 125). Father Mike Schmitz and other Catholic priests have mentioned that as human beings, we get married and become one flesh (sacrament of matrimony) and for the procreation of life. During our earthly lives, spouses are help each other get to heaven through our marriage. But in heaven, no one is married because our souls become “married” to God. There is no need to produce life in heaven. At least, that is my understanding of the fathers.
A very significant example that I would like to mention is Ms. Byrne’s perspective on homosexual marriages. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “…Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law…Under no circumstances can they be approved” (CCC 2357). There are also numerous passages in The Bible that states homosexuality is a sin. For example, 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11: “…Those who…practice in homosexuality – none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.” Ms. Byrne mentions going to a gay couple’s wedding. She says, “They were surrounded by angels, about ten of them, in a half circle. When I turned and looked around the room, I saw an angel standing beside everyone holding up a red heart” (AAMF p. 288). The red heart represents a red heart the soul of one of the groom’s deceased father was holding. Ms. Byrne continues, “This wedding, this marriage, was about love. Love has no boundaries. [God] has no boundaries. God blesses all marriages of love…The angels standing beside each person at that wedding threw the hearts they were holding up into the air. They exploded, bursting into tiny little pieces.” I truly believe this was the work on the devil. I don’t believe God would allow this. Sure, there were angels at the wedding, but they were people’s guardian angels. The angels were only there since they do not leave people’s sides; not even for a second. And they were most likely somber and disappointed; not joyous and celebratory. In AMOHFTA, Ms. Byrne says, “I sometimes see angels of love with homosexual couples…the angels of love with them told me they were partners and very happy. Some people find it hard to accept that God and the angels could approve of romantic love between two men or two women. All I can say is that I see angels of love with such couples often” (p. 123). These passages in her book convinced me that I cannot fully trust Ms. Byrne and that she may be manipulated and led astray by Satan and his demons. What Ms. Byrne states in the above passages is blasphemy and does not support Catholic teaching or values. Saint Paul says, “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8). Saint Paul also mentions, “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 10:13-14). Yes, even Satan can appear as a heavenly angel to trick and deceive us.
Lastly, Ms. Byrne also does not mention anything about the Catholic Church. She mentions she is Irish Catholic, but admits she doesn’t go to Mass every Sunday. As someone who can see angels, I would expect messages about the Church: devotion, encouraging receiving the Sacraments, honoring Jesus through Mary (praying the Rosary), reparations for sins, conversions of sinners, and the list goes on. But she does not teach or promote these things. Her message is generally to be kind and love one another. I whole-heartedly agree, but I am unsure if SHE truly knows what her message is. She usually mentions that the angels never tell her anything. I think that’s another pretty big red flag. In fact, after her vision of the crucifixion, since Ms. Byrne appears to be quite distressed, Archangel Michael told Ms. Byrne, “That’s okay. Remember, God said you can write just what you want” (p. 342). Why would God give Ms. Byrne complete and total discretion to write whatever she wanted about Jesus’ Passion; the single most important event of our Catholic faith? Why show Ms. Byrne the vision of the crucifixion, only to tell her to write whatever she pleases about it?
Nevertheless, Ms. Byrne does mention things that do follow Catholic teaching. Again, I do not wish to say that everything in the book is blasphemy and anti-Catholic. She does make very good points and has beautiful stories to tell (e.g., glowing babies). If these are true, she definitely made me shed some tears reading about them. However, as I mentioned, Ms. Byrne’s approach is too sugar-coated and full of rainbows and butterflies. It is as if she wants to depict God as ONLY all-loving and merciful (which He is). But we also need to “Fear God, and keep his Commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12: 13-14).

I’m a firm believer in angels and I love to read books on the topic because I want to learn more about this amazing entities.
A Message of Hope From the Angels offers information to help readers understand the roles of angels. The books explains how angels help us in all areas of life. From our love life to our financial situations to family problems; angels are always there to lend a hand.
The author offers insights into her years of talking to the angels. Through her words, she shares stories of how the angels guided her towards helping others and how she learned more about their work on the other side. The author also gives readers special prayers to say whenever they need guidance in their lives.
This was a very informative book, some of the information I already knew, while other stuff was new to me. I liked how the author shared tidbits of her life and gave stories of where she came into contact with the angels.
Reading about these angels reaffirmed my belief in them and how they’re here to help everyone by spreading their message of hope.
I found it very hard to read, boring, repetitive, and too simple. Even just the fact she used the same simple words to describe each angel ect. I felt like I was listen to a child tell me about her imaginary friends and what they look like. So I figured a lot of the stuff in the book I did like was some things that related to me or ppl I knew so I figured if I read the chapters that suit me... So I think it's a book written for the desperate, to make them feel less alone. Which is great, but mayb she should have gotten a ghost writer to write the book for her. She should hav repeated less and probably used less disc discription. It bored it and I wasn't interest in reading more the 7 chapters spread out across the book each with the same message ask ur guardian angel to help u. And they are beautiful and love u no matter what. She said all this a hundred times or more. Not impressed, but I liked the idea.
I originally picked up this title because I kept finding angel feathers around me. I also noticed angel numbers daily, so I decided the angels were calling. I thought this book would be more academic, but it turned out more conversational, which was okay. Some of the stories were very vivid and interesting and others felt too simplified like the story about America in the appendix. Otherwise, the opening of the book is specific for parents who want to learn how to call on angels to help their children. This wasn’t relevant to me at all. I did love the chapters on grief, soulmates, and love. The prayers throughout were very helpful, and I hope to use them in my life for hope and strength. I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for inspiration to connect to a more spiritual side of life.
I do believe in angels. Sentence from book: Each person has a guardian angel, the gatekeeper of your soul. The importance of hope should never be under-estimated. With hope in our heart we can do so much. (p. 4). Your guardian angel will fill your life with the light of hope. (p. 14). It takes courage to acknowledge that God exists, that you have a soul and a guardian angel who is the gatekeeper of that soul. (p. 192)
This reco. My friend we see what's comes out. Wow, I love the part whit the parents.
I fell the same as the other reader feels by reading "peas" and "comfort in my soul" I agree that we all have a part to play in the spiritual evolution of humanity. So do I have always pray to God to thank that he give us patience for everything. Thank you for your kind blessing Lorna.
I enjoyed this third book about how this author sees and speaks with angels. She has some wonderful thoughts about life and how we can make our lives better and more spiritual. I wish she would come to the United States more often because it would be an awesome experience to pray with her and listen to her "messages of hope."
There is always hope, there is always a way to cope! A Message of Hope from the Angels is an inspirational book that gives you hope, inner peace and healing. It brings you strength as you learn that you are never alone! Thank you Lorna for sharing your wisdom and this uplifting message from the Angels!
I love this book SO much!!!! It is now one of my favorites and I wish I could carry it around in my pocket everywhere I go. This book is so deeply touching and beautiful. My heart resonated with each word and incredible story that she told. I learned so much about God and the angels, and feel that I have grown much spiritually just by reading this.
Lovely book by a woman who sees angels. It is a comforting message of hope and love and peace. However, I think you have to read her other books to figure out all these different angel categories; plus their descriptions tend to sound the same after a while.
