I have always loved Elin Hilderbrand, but I think this is her best book ever! She is writting with a lot of suspense now. Not to spoil third fr anyone, but it is about two families that are intertwined and neither know about the other. Once I started Winter In Paradise I did not want to put it down!

This is the first book I have read by Elin Hilderbrand. I understand that she writes books in a series and this I think was the first.Irene Steele thought she had the perfect marriage but learns that it wasn't true when she is notified that her husband died in an airplane crash. The location was St. Johns in the tropics where the main story transpires.
Okay , this book bummed me out. Started out with the bitter older woman and ended abruptly. So often her normal path of warm, beachy stories. This was a bit brittle. Maybe book 2 will be better. The normal formula was missing.
Took me a month to get through so may have impacted how much I liked it. The writing style was basic and rarely differed her sentence style — but I like the plot. Characters are complex and interesting way to interweave characters. Good book.
I loved this book. This author never disappoints. This book is the first in a trilogy, I only wish the second one was ready, I’d like to continue the story.
What can I say Elin is the best! Her books make you fall in love with characters and places like no other author I’ve read. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next 2 books of this series.
I’ve been totally MIA over here but I promise I have a good reason! Reading has taken a back seat recently because I’m in full on wedding planning mode! My fiancé proposed on my birthday 4 weeks ago and although I’m biased, of all the love stories I’ve read, ours is my favorite. ❤️ I read another Elin Hilderbrand book last month and I’m happy to say that I look forward to reading the rest of her books. Hilderbrand is a talented story teller and I love reading about anything that involves a beach. If you love the Caribbean and a good suspense novel, check this beaut out. 🤗
