The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring. . . .

I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me.

The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f*** flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way, my teammates think it’s hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

ERIK is the second installment in Sawyer Bennett’s newest series revolving around the NHL’s Arizona Vengeance. These hockey players are seriously sexy and just a bit dirtier than the men of the Cold Fury.

This is a second chance romance, although unfortunately, Erik doesn’t remember his first encounter with Blue, which is why she holds so much animosity towards him. Their story is downright steamy with a heavy dose of heart to go along with it. Fans of Sawyer Bennett are sure to fall in love with Erik, one of Arizona Vengeance’s top defenders.

Here are my overall ratings:

Heroine: 4
Plot: 4
Angst: 4
Steam: 5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 4.5

After finishing Bishop I couldn't wait to get my hands on Erik's story and see him have to work to get Blue's attention. I knew then it was going to be highly entertaining, and I was not wrong. I loved that Blue didn't make it easy for him and didn't let him just give her a smile before her heart would go all pitter-patter. It made for some great sexual tension and a great story to read.

Blue didn't have an easy go at life but she wasn't letting it beat her down, which I loved. She fought for those she cared about and I really admired that about her. Then when Erik came around he didn't make it easy on her to fight him, which she did, but when it came to getting help from him she relented and took the help he offered. And it had me admiring her even more that she would put her pride to the side when necessary. It also had me swooning over Erik that he so easily jumped in her life and took everything she had to offer, the good and the bad.

Overall, it was a great book to read and one I would recommend adding to your Kindle. It's part of the Arizona Vengeance series but I would say it could be read as a standalone if you aren't someone that is going to get too curious about the previous book when those characters are mentioned.

This book was dumb AF. I would love to read a guys opinion on this hero's POV. It seemed to be what women assume men to think like and it was not believable at all.

The hero was a self proclaimed ladies man and his dad is one to(who has specific tastes- young hot woman). Reading about this completely put me off. On top of that I hated that the hero checked out other women and said that he would hit that if he wasn't with the heroine. I didn't feel the connection between them at all.

There was nothing really happening in the story, maybe 2 pages of angst and that's it. There was no character development or real time between the h and H. The saving grace was the brother of the heroine who was honestly the best and I feel like he deserves the HEA. The relationship between the hero and the heroines brother was again pretty awesome but the way he talked about it made it seem so dumb.

The heroine is "gorgeous" and loves her brother, that's literally all I know about her. I hated that she felt bad for being a party girl and having one or two hookups, while the hero literally slept with someone yesterday and couldn't care less.

Anyways the book to me had no substance, the two points are for the heroines brother!!!

Erik Dalhbeck is a professional hockey player for the Arizona Vengeance, the new expansion team in Phoenix. Since he was traded, he’s quickly made a name for himself on and off the ice. He’s one of their top players, but he’s also known as a notorious ladies man. He’s never had trouble getting women, until he meets the sexy flight attendant Blue that works on their team plane. He wants her bad, and she won’t give him the time of day. It was clear she didn’t like him, and had no plans of giving into his advances, but he’d always loved a challenge. He’s completely intrigued by her, and wants to get to know her better.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

-The fact she won't give me the time of day makes her infinitely hotter to me for some reason.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Blue Gardner has a lot on her plate and plenty of responsibilities for a 26 yr. old. The last thing she needs is some playboy hockey star flirting with her. She’s not into casual hookups, and doesn’t have time for Erik Dalhbeck, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to get under her skin. He’s hot as hell and flusters her with just one look, but she’s too busy judging his moral character to react any other way than nasty.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

With their jobs, Erik & Blue are around one another quite a bit. As they learn more about each other Erik see’s there are many layers to Blue than just what’s on the surface, and Blue realizes she may have misjudged Erik. As Erik is quickly falling for Blue will she trust him with her heart?

This was book two in the Arizona Vengeance series. If you love Sawyer Bennett’s other hockey novels, you will love this series as well. The men of the Arizona Vengeance are just as delicious and alpha. I adored Erik, and can’t wait for Legend’s book next!

Well... I still got the copy of Miss Bennett hockey series on my back shelf. I jist picked it up for the sake of get rid of it from my shelf.

Disappointed. There is no real connection between Erik and Blue, except sexual attraction. The sexual attraction is also ridiculous.

Just.... meh....

Erik.

He's a ladies man - always has been. He doesn't have time for anything serious.

But this one girl is different. Blue. She's the flight attendant on the team's plane. And she kinda hates him. He tries flirting and talking and being nice. Not working.

Blue doesn't have time for a player in her life. Even if he's as hot as Erik.

Also, she kind of met him five years ago - and he doesn't even remember!!!!!

Poor Erik will have to fight real hard to get his happily ever after with Blue!

Let the fun times begin ....

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO BLUE & ERIK????
WiLL THERE BE A HAPPiLY EVER AFTER?
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! ☺☺☺

Book 2! Yay!

We already met Erik in the first book and we already saw how not excited Blue was to have him flirt with her.

It's really adorable to see the poor guy not getting what he wants for a change.

But it's not taking him all that long to convince her that he's changed.

But getting Blue is not the only thing poor Erik has to fight through to get to his happy end!

I really enjoyed this book.
It was erotic and fun and sweet and I adored how Erik was with Blue's brother Billy! Really cute.

Even though there wasn't much happening in the story. They get together pretty early and by the 50% mark the book could've ended, but it didn't ... it was a bit too long. The best things about those too long parts were the moments about the next books. Legend and his new neighbor and Tacker with his sad past.

There's a lot of book material still left for us in Phoenix! ☺

Can't wait to see what Legend will be up to next! And Tacker!!! When will we get his book?!

ERIK was a fun, moving & sexy new romance in this new hockey series! Great cast!

Sawyer Bennett continues her Arizona Vengeance hockey series with Erik, a hot, sweet and earnest goal.

Erik Dahlbeck, ladies’ man, NHL enforcer, en is enjoying his life with his new teammates on the Arizona Vengeance expansion team. He’s used to puck bunnies throwing themselves at him. What he’s not used to, is being vaguely acknowledged by the hottest one of all. Blue Gardner, the gorgeous flight attendant on the team plane who barely tolerates him.

His attraction to Blue only elevates when he witnesses her caring for her handicapped brother, which is problematic not just because these feelings of protection and caring are completely new to Erik, but because the stubborn woman won’t give him the light of day. Can Erik figure out what he get her coldshoulder in order to melt her heart?

With Erik and Blue, Bennett provides two clever and alluring characters. Erik is a delicious hero with a face and body worthy of worship, but it was his caring nature that made him so attractive. He was resolute in conquering the ice in and especially out of the arena, which he was able to do with his considerate and kind side. It was easy for Blue to see beyond the star athlete. She’s strong and equally kind hearted. These two are perfect for one another.

The book starts with a serious animosity between Erik and Blue, but the story has unexpected twists and turns that add lovely swoon and fan-yourself worthy layers to Blue and Erik’s romance with a good dollop of hockey excitement intermixed.

Erik is about looking beyond the surface and interesting second chances that took me on an entertaining, sexy and pull at your heartstrings journey in which I not only fell for the playboy enforcer, I got to hang out with previous characters and know more of those who I’m sure will also fall for in future installments.

Erik is book #2 of the Arizona Vengeance series by Sawyer Bennett. It is told from both points of view with a happy ending.

I had a great time with this book! This is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance series but it could easily be read as a stand-alone. Anyone that has had the chance to read the first book in the series, Bishop, will recognize quite a few of the characters but there should be no issue if a reader decided to jump in here. This book really grabbed me right from the start and I ended up reading the whole thing in a single sitting. It really was a joy to watch Blue and Erik figure things out.

Blue and Erik were both great characters. Blue works as a flight attendant on the hockey teams plane and she is anything by impressed by Erik. When she isn't working, she spends her time trying to be there for her disabled brother since she is all he has left after the death of their parents. Erik can't figure out why he keeps striking out with Blue. When he sees her out with her brother, he starts to think that there is a lot more to Blue than he originally thought.

Erik and Blue both show a lot of growth over the course of this book. Blue has had to deal with a lot of things during recent years and she has a lot of guilt from some of her past actions. The fact that she was able to give Erik a chance and forgive him was a big step and I liked the fact she wasn't afraid to apologize. Erik didn't grow up with the best role model when it came to dealing with women. He has changed from his younger days and is willing to go the extra mile when needed to win over Blue. I loved seeing how he was with Blue's brother.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I had a great time watching Blue and Erik fall in love. This short book was able to blend some swoon-worthy moments, a touch of humor, steamy scenes, and more serious moments with ease. I can't wait to read more of this wonderful series from Sawyer Bennett!

I received a digital review copy of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

Initial Thoughts
I had a great time with this book! Blue and Erik were such a wonderful couple with loads of chemistry. I thought that Blue's brother Billy added a lot to the story. Some parts of the book were a bit predictable but there were some really touching scenes as well. Some of Erik's teammates played an important role in this book and I can't wait to read their stories.

3 CROWNS

This one was just okay for me. There wasn’t anything “wrong” with it. The characters are enjoyable. The bedroom scenes are steamy. The pacing is good.

I just didn’t connect with it. I wasn’t enthralled. I wasn’t driven to turn the pages. It was just okay, and I can’t really pinpoint why. It just was a miss for me.

Sawyer Bennett is usually a favorite. I’ll continue to read her books, and if you love hockey romances this could be for.

ridiculous #feels
Could possibly be one of my top three Sawyer Bennett books!
(I’ll have to give that further thought)
What I don’t have to give further thought to is the incredible heart this story has. Well done!

After further thought ....... If you read the first in this series, Bishop, then you already have a little taste of both Blue and Erik and just from that little taste, you should be running to #one-click immediately! I could not wait! I knew their story was going to be tension high and sexually charged but I didn’t expect the #feels OMG, the #feels!

I loved that story put Blue and Erik in each other’s paths whether they wanted it or not. It made the chase that much more fun! Erik is, of course, a player .. on and off the rink LOL Blue doesn’t have time for those kinds of shenanigans. She has her reasons and they aren’t all about him. Her back-story will touch your heart and make this journey that much sweeter. It grabbed a hold of my heart and just wouldn’t let go. These two will forever hold a place in my heart!

So that’s my further thought LOL and absofuckinglutly, this book is one of my top reads by Sawyer Bennett to date!

Erik was the second book in Sawyer Bennett’s newest series, Arizona Vengeance.

Erik Dahlbeck was a defenseman and enforcer on the Arizona Vengeance NHL team. He was a total player, never committing or even wanting to commit, to just one woman until he met Blue. He knew she was worth more but proving it to her was a challenge she wasn’t willing to give him.

Blue Gardner was a flight attendant on the Vengeance team plane. We met her previously and she wouldn’t give Erik the time of day, knowing he was a total flirt and playboy. However, as the story progressed, we learned there was more to the story, much more, and she had a very good reason to despise him.

Once the stage was set, Bennett took us through the obstacles for getting the first date. She then took us through the “getting to know each other stage” while detailing their daily lives. I enjoyed the depth Bennett included through Blue’s family dynamics and both of their jobs. It added dimension to the storyline without unnecessary drama.

Additionally, I liked both characters, but I loved everything about Erik. His interactions and dedication to Blue were heartfelt and perfect. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. Bennett paved the way for several future stories within the Vengeance with Legend up next. The teasers were intriguing with a promise for an explosive and entertaining story.

For Erik Dahlbeck life is pretty sweet playing for the Vengence hockey team, plenty of parties, booze and puck bunnies. But the woman I want Blue Gardner, the hot flight attendant on our team plane does not want to give me the time of day and I intend to find out why. Great characters, steamy hot sex and an interesting story line that shows Blue has a lot more going on in her life than flirting with Erik. This was a really enjoyable read.

**sigh** I have such mixed feelings for Sawyer Bennett lately. Her heroes are such unevolved frat boys. For example: "She's in my sights and I'm not about to give up just because she dislikes me" Seriously?? And do not get me started on Erik's disgusting father. That being said, Eric was not as gross as some of the previous heroes. He ended up pretty genuine with Blue and I really liked his relationship with her brother.

As per usual Sawyer Bennett is always CONSISTENT! Every book is a hit with me. Erik and Blue were so fun to read about!

Blue is a flight attendant on the team private plane and she has been on Erik’s mind ever since he’s laid eyes on her. Unfortunately for him Blue isn’t interested at all! But that sexual tension will get ya and Blue succumbs to Erik’s advances eventually... who wouldn’t? Not this girl anyone! I they had amazing chemistry and their relationship was so organic. There was a lot of humor which Sawyer always has in her books. Just like always the romance is steamy like super SEXY! Basically the perfect contemporary romance.

Review by Trinette Dungee

Erik Dahlbeck can have any women he wants except the one he really wants. Flight attendant, Blue, wouldn’t toss a glass of water on him if he were on fire, she’d probably throw a little gasoline, and everyone knows that but no one knows the reason. Erik’s obsession with learning why Blue hates him so much actually works in his favor; as he learns more and more about her he realizes that she really could be “the one”.

Blue Gardner has a lot on her plate; she’s the sole provider for her younger disabled brother and she’s got bills to pay. The last think she needs is a playboy like Erik Dahlbeck in her life. His reputation proceeds him and the fact that he doesn’t remember that they actually met before is not helping his case.

This is book number two in the Arizona Vengeance Series and so far Mrs. Bennett is two for two with this new series. We first met Erik and Blue in book one, in Bishop’s and Brook’s story and I remember thinking then that I really wanted the story of these two because they intrigued the hell out of me. I loved both characters. I like Blue because she seemed so real, like someone you could actually get to know. At one point she decided to forgive Erik for his past transgressions and be friends. While she’s trying to work the friendship angle, Erik is trying to move to the relationship angle.

There were times when Blue would bring up the past and I kind of felt like she was taking stabs and being passive-aggressive. I mean, you said you forgave the guy so move on already. Of course, it becomes clear that Blue’s afraid of having her heart broken; more importantly, she’s afraid a relationship with Erik will take her back to being the person she didn’t really like being.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at Erik, he shed the playboy image in record speed and became a one-woman-man for Blue. He’s a sensitive soul and when discovers everything Blue has on her plate, he truly wants to help her and make her life easier.

While there wasn’t a lot of witty banter in this book, it was full of passion and I don’t mean the sexual kind (although that was present too); it was the kind of passion that meant they should be together; they just had to both get on the same page.

This was a quick read, it probably could be finished in one day, but it was really well written. As usual, there are supporting characters that grab your attention; there’s Tacker who I can’t wait to read about and Dax, but I have a suspicion that the next book will be about Legend and Pepper. (Pepper sounds like a firecracker).

What a sweet, sweet, emotional love story. I’m a huge fan of Sawyer’s Cold Fury series, and, two books in, and the Arizona Vengeance have well and truly stolen my heart. Erik Dahlbeck may have been a player both on and off the ice, but he’s willing to put all that behind him for a chance to date one of the team’s flight attendants, Blue Gardner. Blue has a lot more to worry about than looking after The Arizona Vengeance when they play away games, she has responsibilities that really do take precedence over dating playboys and going out and having fun. When Erik finally breaks through her tough exterior, they both learn that life can be better together. Of course nothing is ever straight forward, and they have a few hurdles to jump along the way. A wonderful story, beautifully written, full of love, life and possibilities. I loved the characters (of course), the writing and the story also were perfect. No complaints from me, I was hooked from the get-go. Roll on Legend. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Disclaimer: I did not read Bishop. I couldn't get into the story. This one, however, was a horse of a different color. Enjoyed it from the get go!

Reading the blurb of this book I knew I was going to enjoy it much more than Bishop. As stated above, I couldn't really get into that book. The blurb on Bishop didn't really interest me but I gave it a shot because I like Sawyer's hockey books. It just fell flat for me and I didn't care to continue. Reading the blurb of this one, however I knew it would interest me. I'm a sucker for the heroine who is taking care of family member/kids/nieces/nephews story, especially one struggling financially. I think it's because I love the hero in the protector role. Erik definitely fell into that category.

Blue takes care of her brother who has a form of cerebral palsy. She's trying to make up for what she feels was abandoning him and running off to LA, where she became as self-named "party girl." I warn you, that is exactly what she was. She would do hookups, etc., trying to find something. That is where she first met Erik, and one of the reasons she doesn't like him.

Right up front I will say, I'm not a big fan of heroine's who are promiscuous or party girls but with Blue, I loved her. She was up front about what she did and why. Plus, Sawyer doesn't drag on about it, only in how it fits in with the rest of the story, so it didn't really bother me. Plus, the story is so engaging I just wanted to keep reading.

Blue and Erik hash out what happened between them five years ago, fairly early into the story so the rest of the story is just building on their relationship. This is what I loved. Erik was so protective of Blue, one of my fave tropes.

This is a very entertaining story and very sweet. In the end it is Blue who has to do the groveling and it is quite a romantic scene.

Very enjoyable book and definitely shouldn't be missed.

Heat and low drama make for a great read…

This author blends hockey and romance so well. Cold Fury whetted my appetite and Arizona Vengeance, a spinoff series, is feeding my continued thirst for more! Each story is one couple’s journey through love and life and all the joys and sorrows that come along with it. If you read Bishop so the sparks between Erik and Blue are not a surprise. What is a surprise is the reason why…

Blue is having none of Erik’s flirty ways and she shuts him down repeatedly. Embarrassing? Absolutely. His team brothers give him the gears but he refuses to quit. He can get through to her, he just has to find a weakness… When the truth emerges and the past becomes the past, they are able to move on and, funnily enough, they both want to do that, together.

Blue and Erik are so good together – even when they are fighting! Erik is generous and thoughtful, showing he has matured a lot over the years. Blue is hesitant but pleasantly surprised at every turn as Erik puts himself out there for her and her family. I love how they talk things through and, even at the height of their new conflict, they can’t leave things unresolved.

A one sitting read that I have happily added to my re-read shelf! ~Diane, 4.5 stars

After I finished Bishop I grabbed Erik right away because I wanted more of this Hockey world. Erik and Blue and there back and forth it is what I love about romance.

The banter, and then we find out why and it’s sweet and sad all at the same time. No, I won’t be giving you the spoilers just know that these two have a lot to work through and come out the other side better for it.

I love love that Erik got how important Blue’s brother was to her. It wasn’t a ploy or anything it was just who Erik is. I love that so much.
In this book, we learn more about the other players and I am so so looking forward to more books, there is one I can’t freaking wait for.

The narration was fabulous, then again I am a Jason Clarke fan. Hello, Ava Erickson kills it as well, she is again one of my favorites so it’s a no-brainer to snag this audio.

4 Erik and Blue Stars

The Arizona Vengeance Team is hotting up! This is the second book in the spin off from the Carolina Cold Fury and Ms Bennett has crafted a hockey world that is just as good as its predecessor.

Easily read as a standalone, this is about Erik who falls hard for Blue Gardner, the gorgeous flight attendant who works for the Team.

Erik and Blue are both very likeable. Their chemistry is hot and the angst is fairly low. Erik surprised me because he was much sweeter than I thought he would be.

I thought this book laid a lot more groundwork for the future novels than the first one , Bishop. I can’t wait for Legend’s book but the one I really want is Tacker. I don’t even know if he will get a story but I really hope so.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

Hot damn this series is very quickly becoming one of my faves. Of course, we had a brief glimpse of Erik and Blue in the first book, Bishop, so like me, most of you were probably already intrigued about how things between them would play out, and what the story was with Blue's attitude towards Erik.

And boy oh boy, did things play out. I LOVE these two. Blue has her reasons for why she acts the way she does with Erik, and I wasn't really expecting them to be what they were. Other might pick up on it, but I didn't. She also has one very important person in her life - her brother Billy.

Erik is determined to find out why he's getting the cold should from Blue, and when they finally talk about it, and start getting to know each other - cue the swoon! Dead set, Erik is amazing. The way he treats Blue, the maturity he shows, and most importantly, the way he is with Billy. Good lord almighty, that man!

I truly truly loved following these two and their relationship, and whilst Sawyer writes in the inevitable issue towards the 80% mark that we all know to expect within a romance novel, there is no prolonged or unneeded angst here, and as a whole, this book is a very easy and fun read.

Our fave secondary characters are back, and let me tell you, I sure as shit am intrigued and cannot wait for Legends book. And I would really really love for Tacker to get a book. We see a bit more of his personality in this book (which says a lot for Tacker, for those who remember him from Bishop), and I really want to delve into his character more, and would love to see him get his happily ever after. Pretty please Sawyer?

I'd also like to see Dax get a book, because as with the other main guys like Bishop, Erik and Legend, he seems like a good guy and lots of fun, so I'd really like to see this series continue in such a way.

I think I enjoyed Erik and Blue as much, or maybe a little more than Brooke and Bishop, and I definitely cannot wait for the next book in this series. Love, love, loving these!

ERIK was deeper read then I was expecting, I know that Sawyer Bennett dives into subjects that touch our hearts but this one was pulling at everyone of my heartstrings and had me balling like a baby. Erik comes off as a fun loving playboy but believe me when I tell you this man has a heart of gold, especially when it comes to Blue.

Blue was everything I expected from what I had seen from her in BISHOP. She is strong willed and doesn't take shit from anyone least of all Erik and we find out exactly why that is...and I must admit I didn't see that one coming. I loved her softer side as well and the way she was with her brother, Billy, was just beautiful.

ERIK is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance Series and can easily be read as a standalone but I can just about guarantee once you meet one of the team players you'll want to read about each of them. Up next is LEGEND but I am still patiently waiting for Tacker's story, we find out more about him in this book and I know without a shadow of a doubt I will be going through a box of tissues when I get my hands on his book. This book is easy to recommend to just about everyone, if you enjoy contemporary romance or if you enjoy sports romance this book is for you and if you enjoy the second-chance trope I would recommend this book to you as well. Happy Reading!!!

3 decent stars - I enjoyed Blue and Erik's story quite a bit and one thing I definitely loved is how "All in" Erik was pretty much from the start. Seriously, if I have one weakness (okay, I totally have more but bear with me xD), it's the guy becoming totally besotted right from the start, like sucker-punched into love.

There's just something...I can't quite put my finger on that puts me off this author's writing so far. It's just this subtle (or maybe not so subtle) way Erik is presented as lord&saviour to Blue, THE ABSOLUTE BEST thing to ever happen to her.

And another thing...Blue and Erik get off to a quite antagonistic start - and for a very good reason. It turns out they slept together 5 years earlier, Erik asked her out to a party, at said party Blue sees him hooking up with two women and after she confronts him about it, he giddily proposes a foursome. Fast-forward 5 years, Erik meets her on team's plane (she's a flight attendant), doesn't remember her AT ALL, calls her a party girl and assumes she'll be down for some "fun" just because he fluttered his eyelashes at her.

So I'd call Blue's anger quite justified, because even if they were just a one-night stand back then, Erik acted like a jerk. Which he totally owns up to and apologizes sincerely for and I love that. Blue forgives him and I like that too - that she sees that he's changed and doesn't hold his old mistakes against him. What I absolutely DO NOT like is that after this, Blue does a total 180 and claims she is also to blame for what happened back then. Because - listen to his - she used to be a party girl back then and "searched for all the wrong things in the all the wrong places" and so it's as if...she was pretty much...asking to be treated this way.

*rubs temples in annoyance*

Like I said, despite liking the romance and dynamics in this series quite a bit so far, there are things like above written into the story that ruin the experience for me.

Erik is the second book in the new hockey series by the author Sawyer bennet "Arizona Vengeance and comes this time to tell Erik's story. And overall I liked this book, it's sexy, warm, fun, cute and a quick read. But for me was missing something that made me fall in love with this story.

The story of Blue and Erik is somewhat predictable, but it does not cease to be good l I liked the way they both developed a relationship and did not have much drama, it was only two people after trimming the edges of the past trying to make a relationship.

For those who like sports books, with sexy hockey players a cute and sexy book at the same time this new series is a good option.

I Received an unreleased copy of this book

I really enjoyed Erik by Sawyer Bennett.

The storyline grabbed my attention from the first page and held my interest until the end.
I loved Erik and Blue, they made me laugh, they made me swoon and they touched my heart with their tenderness and heartfelt moments.
Their story brought out all the feels, I was happy they were able to find a balance between them with honest communication and to respect/trust one another.
Erik loved Blue and Billy unconditionally and I loved his big heart.

I knew we were going to have problems when Erik went behind Blue's back and told their mutual boss that he needed to give Blue a raise, and that was treated as a good thing. What?! There is a lot of that sort of thing in this book. Erik is sweet and all, but he tries to take control of everything in Blue's life and no one, Blue included, seems to think that is a huge problem. Also, Blue has some serious self-esteem issues. She beats herself up for ever putting her needs, her enjoyment ahead of others, and that is treated as being perfectly fine. Erik urges her to forgive herself, but there is never a "what you did was right, you cannot live entirely in service to others, you matter too." Also, Erik's father was beyond gross. Also problematic, there are no women in positions of power or accomplishment. There was a ridiculous mean girls high school reunion scene where all the woman judged one another solely on the income of their husbands/boyfriends. The ethos and writing quality here both needed work. A lot of work.
