Needing Reyes

Rate this book
He was my poison, my drug of choice, and like a junky, I came back for more.    Alanna  The world was a dark, and lonely place. It was even darker when the one person you needed was the last one you should ever want. Reyes was a lot of things, but most importantly he was my best friend’s brother as well as the local motorcycle club’s president. Reyes was tall, brooding, six foot four inches of tattooed perfection. Basically, he was every women's walking fantasy. Reyes was also the one person who could keep me safe and destroy me while doing it.   Then, I let Reyes take me, and he showed me all of the things woman wanted to know. Although I was left picking up the pieces when he left me in his wake. But, I found myself running to him and begging him for the safe haven I knew only he could provide.   Reyes I was the president of the Grimm Brothers MC, and I’ve wanted my sister’s best friend for years. When I finally get her under me, I let her slip through my fingers. Run little rabbit run. There is no place you can go that I won’t find you.   There was a s**t storm brewing in another club’s chapter. Things get messy, and they take Alanna as insurance. Wrong move. Now, I needed to kill a few brothers to collect my old lady and unborn child. The two biggest questions are how many do I need to kill and how slowly could I make them suffer before they die.    Can her love for Reyes keep her going during difficult times? How far will he go to get her back?

Roxanne Greening is a mother of two young children and lives in the beautiful rural area in West Virginia, USA. It was because of her love for reading romances, that Roxanne decided to write her own. However, it is the MC romances that she enjoys writing the most. "Being able to become a rebel, an outlaw (in fiction) is a powerful thing." And so Axel, the first book of the SONS OF THE APOCALYPSE, was published in August 2016.
Her comedy nonfiction, The Rantings Of A Crazy Person, was born out of demands from her family and friends to write about her own experiences. And her children's book, The chronicles of rocky and binx aka the steam punk kid and the angel of death. Titanic's Doom! Came from wanting to write a book for her son who suffers from ADHD.

Quick Read That Sucked Me In.

For a quick read this book has some interesting layers. On the surface we have the romance between Reyes and Allana, a deeper more intricate layer is the MC conspiracy, and at the same time there is the sweet decadent ganache of two other budding romances that we the reader follow. The story and plot are well laid out! Considering everything I mentioned above this book could get confusing, but it does not. The writing just flows, there are some minor typos or grammar issues that I do not feel take away from the story in any way, and it was only in the beginning of the book that I noticed them, then the story gripped me and I don’t know if there are more, there were more important things occurring within the book. My friend told me about this book, she knows I love MC romance, and books with good twists and turns.
I really liked Allana. She knew Reyes was a dog and was with many women, when she didn’t think he was being faithful she did her own thing and did not lay around like a doormat waiting for Reyes to walk all over her. I also like the friendship between Bianca and Allana. I would recommend this book to readers who like safer MC books with some angst as well as well developed plots and some snarky humor.

Amount of sex 2.5 / 5
How explicit is the sex scenes 2.5 / 5
Story 4.5 / 5
Overall: 4.5 / 5

Needing Reyes is the first book in The Grimm Brothers MC series by author Roxanne Greening. This steamy romance tells the story of Reyes, the president of the MC, and Alanna, his sister’s best friends. Both Alanna and Reyes have feelings for each other, but Reyes hasn’t made a move because of his sister. Until now, but is he too late?

The storyline is suspenseful, and I read it in one sitting. Also, it can be read as a standalone romance. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

Quick read

This book was a very quick read. I liked it. The storyline was very brief. I would read another book by this author. The only thing is I would like to see more depth to the characters and more substance. Please though this is not a critique. I can't write a coherent sentence much less a whole book! I have a hard time giving bad reviews to someone who has tried. Thank you

short and sweet

I’ve been having trouble finishing books right now because my attention span is very short, but this book was perfect because it kept my attention. If you want a book that is short and sweet it’s this one. It has some heartache, suspense, action and an HEA. It sets up the next books in the series which I’m going to read next.

Hot cover...

Though I didn't feel like the chick was a very good representation... and while I really like me a biker bad boy, I felt like these were just kids who were playing at being adults. It wasn't very believable to me.
The dialogue was immature-ish and I dunno, I just didn't buy it.

Good book

This was a very good book. Alanna and Reyes were cute together. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is be cause it needed a little proofreading. Other than that it was a great book and that will not stop me from reading more

Rushed and quick read. Many details left out. Weak characters. The story had potential but it was just very lacking. Not sure I’ll read the next one.

🎆 3.5 Stars. Not an in-depth story, however it was a quick and easy read filled with what you would typically find in a MC romance. I would recommend reading inbetween books for a fast refresher.

WTF? It ended just as it started getting good. To short no time to see any real connection between H&H. Ugh...... Only read this one since I wanted to read Gunner. Looking at the cover I would have skipped it had it not been part of the same MC now I wish I had. And the grammar issues OMG some places I couldn't even figure out what it was saying.

Needing Reyes is the first book in the Grimm brothers MC series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline entertaining. I liked Alanna. Alanna had been in love with Reyes for years. He is her best friends older brother and the president of the Grimm brothers MC. He was a total man whore. Reyes had wanted Alanna for a while but had held off. As soon as he had her, he declared she was his. The only problem was that Reyes made it known to Alanna that he wasn’t going to give up his player ways. Alanna is hurt by Reyes comments. She doesn’t want to share Reyes; she cannot stand to see him with other women. She makes it known by leaving and hiding. What Alanna doesn’t expect is to find herself carrying part of Reyes.
Reyes made a mistake when he said what he said to Alanna. He soon realised that no other woman compared to Alanna. Going crazy over her disappearance, he sets about finding her and claiming her.
The chemistry between Alanna and Reyes was clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I liked the build up to them finally getting together.
I am looking forward to more of Bianca and Ryan and Gunner and Cassie in this series.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and entertaining read. I cannot wait to read more books from this series.

This was a quick read from a new to me author. I will say that it had its moments that I wish there was more depth to the story line. It did seem rushed during parts. Still I would say that I would read the next book in the series. That is one thing that I liked was how the author gave you a third POV so that it is tying in the next book in series.
The relationship between Reyes and Alanna started after he decided that he was done staying away, and his patience finally snapped. This coming together was a hot and heavy moment that ended with Reyes claiming Alanna as his and only his. But, he was not going to only be hers. Their relationship wasn't one that he saw as a life changing one, until the changes started happening.
If someone is looking for a quick read to take their mind off things, then this could be a book for them to read.
