From the bestselling co-author of The Hard Way Out and for fans of Sons of Anarchy comes a new book that reveals the cold, dark, dirty secrets of the biker underworld
Hells Angels, Bandidos, Outlaws, Vagos. What would you do if a biker sat beside you in a bar? How about if a group of leather-and-denim–clad tough guys established a clubhouse in your neighbourhood? Television and movies glamorize bikers as freedom fighters, men who do things their own way, brothers-in-arms who party all the time and ride Harleys to escape everyday life, while news reports paint them as criminals responsible for drug trafficking, brutal assaults and murder. That paradox, each side true in its own way, is what makes outlaw motorcycle gangs so very fascinating. What really goes on behind those heavily secured steel clubhouse doors?
In The Secret Life of Bikers, bestselling true-crime author Jerry Langton tells the stories of the men who live the biker life as they have never been told before. Langton has interviewed many bikers over the past decade, and he shares their tales, often in their own words, in these pages. He has also interviewed members of law enforcement to hear the biker story from the other side of the ledger. This book offers rare insights into the everyday workings of motorcycle clubs: the hierarchies, the initiation rituals, the brawls, the bodies and the brotherhood of blood.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not even sure where to begin with this one . Canadian Author , Jerry Langton and the Secret Life of Bikers. This was the first read by this author and definitely won’t be the last . I have already ordered more because I was Inspired by this one and the talks of others in this book. I am a new rider myself but was always curious about motorcycle clubs and gangs and such so picked this one up and glad that I did . If you were ever curious too this might also be a book you might want to read . From getting to know the differences between Clubs and gangs , where they were founded and when and in which parts of the world , to what it means to be a biker , all about how their clubs work and how women fit into the motorcycle life of clubs and their members. A little bit about what happens when bikers go to war , bikers and drug trafficking , how some are just your friendly neighbourhood bikers. How the bikers deal with disrespect , how they deal with law enforcement and the overall mentality of bikers . A good section of terms and slang used by bikers , some that I have heard before and others that I had never heard . Definitely eye opening and gruesome at times but well worth the read . Very well written and definitely recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was looking for something more tell all style however this book gives tons of info to those who aren’t informed on how the biker clubs and chapters run throughout Canada and USA, I don’t know how gripping others would find the content. I found the reading somewhat slow paced. Like the real life photos in the book and the colour and design of the cover is appealing all and all I wouldn’t read again just not enough juice for me.
Very interesting topic, covered in great detail. I wish that the book had more of a narrative. I would recommend this book this book to anyone interested in learning more about biker gangs in North America, but not to those who want character development while they are at it. Bonus points for being very Canadian-centric though.
Lacked a bit of narrative and felt a bit disjointed at times. A good overview of the biker lifestyle, but there are more interesting books on the topic. Would recommend it as an overview or primer read before diving into others. Still interesting!

Was interested in reading this book after watching 'Sons of Anarchy' and noting how accurate the show was in many facets of the world of bikers. Fascinating!
Was an easy read, informative about the culture of outlaw biker MCs. It was hard keeping up with so many names. Insightful on the Canadian gangs yikes!
