Be More Witch: How to Find Your Inner Magic

Rate this book
Witches have enchanted us throughout the centuries with their darkness, mysticism and individuality. Once persecuted, they have now been adopted by millennials as a symbol of feminine strength. Their belief in magic is increasingly causing people to question the arranged order, break out of pre-defined social norms and look for answers elsewhere in this demanding technological age. Where there's a witch, there's a way! Be More Witch offers a dose of magical escapism that will help you to channel determination and manifest positive change. Soar through the sky with (or without!) a trusty broomstick and let your creative spirit fly! Look to nature, learn from your surroundings, and get in tune with the elements, plants, herbs, flowers and of course, your spirit animals.
With tips, tricks and spells this book will guide you on magical journey to discover the power that's waiting to burst from within. So are you ready to dip your toes into the cauldron? Your fate is at your fingertips...

Definitely a cutesy witchcraft book. Assumes all witches are female - not true of course. Was fun to read but doesn’t tap into traditional witchcraft very much.

A fun little witchy read! My only issue with the book is the lack of intersectionality and the very binary stance it takes on who is a witch. One sentence, “Not every woman is a witch, but ever witch is a woman” especially stood out to me. I actually re-read it a few times to make sure I wasn’t misreading. Not every woman is a witch, and not every witch is a woman!

Really well made
Great for beginners with easy to do spells and simple explanations. Love that every chapter has background and history at the start and their own “be more witch” advise and witchy mantras.
Simple and interesting read.
Definitely something I’ll revisit constantly!

Middle-of-the-road - cute with some good basic ideas...
Assumes all witches are women, and goes on about girl power and feminine power throughout... If you can ignore that there are some cute basic spells to try, ideas for you to build on and concepts to move into your own practice.

lots of cute tips but unnecessarily gendered, excludes non-women witches despite none of the tips being specific to the lives of women.

it as overall good, but some parts I don't quite agree with. Like for example, "not every woman is a witch, but every witch is a woman", which is simply not true, anyone can be a witch.

Cute book with great artwork and quotes. Assumes all witches are women - they are not - but a fun book nonetheless. It’s published in the UK and I always enjoy reading books with British English.

I was gifted this book. Quick read. Some good tips & spells but the language is definitely not intersectional or traditional, so just meh.

A cute little read with some smaller info, it makes it a lot easier to understand Wiccan and spiritual things for someone who doesn’t know

cutesy witch tips & magical self care. this was VERY much "only women are witches" which i hated a lot. there were a few little tidbits that were actually lovely - rituals for dealing with anxiety etc -but the bulk of the book felt pretty fluffy & shallow. 2/5.
