It’s safer that way. My last girl up and left because things got too dangerous. Not that I blame her. It’d be better if I could stay away from love for good, but the pretty single mom who dances at my club has my attention, then my body, and now my heart. The world is crumbling around me, with villains gunning for my MC left and right, and the only thing that saves me is her. Scarily enough, she’s trying to save herself. An abusive relationship and a little one to deal with have her struggling to keep her head above water. Time to step in and save her. I have to. No matter what. Why? She’s the one that pulls my black soul up from the darkness and forces me to breathe again with her warmth. I just can’t help but wonder how she’ll feel when she realizes that I’m no different from the evil that’s after us. I’m more of what she doesn’t need. I wish I was a good guy and could walk away, but I’m in too deep. I’ve gone too far. No matter what or who comes our way, I’ll be ready to protect what is mine.
Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary and new adult romance writer with more than a hundred and twenty books behind her. She loves coffee, watching a great movie, and hanging out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. The man is hot. Hello. She’s a creative at heart and loves coming up with more ideas than any one person should be allowed to access. She lives in Tennessee with her hubs, teenage son, two grown daughters, and two love-of-her-life grandbabies! Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
I am enjoying this series with the sexy hot men along with strong women. All the MC men are a family that stick together to protect each other. I like how all the characters reappear in each book also.
Caleb is the youngest of the MC and womanless. His last girl just broke up with him while The Hand business going down.
Lauryn is a dancer at the club Caleb works at. She has a mean boyfriend Cliff who is a jerk and also her drug supplier. Jayden is seven and her son. She leaves him with Cliff while she works.
After Cliff hits her and leaves a mark Caleb, takes her with him back to her house and he tells Cliff to leave. Hoping that is the end of it. As their relationship grows the Hand is back.
We find out Cliff is Issac’s brother and now the fun starts.
The story is good and the series is great. Again the only thing that bugs me is the proofing and editing. At one part of the book ( chapter 9 ) we have Caleb on his motorcycle and next paragraph he is pulling up to his apartment in his car. What did the motorcycle morph into a car all the sudden?
Again great read but time lines are off, things wrong etc.
An abundance of endless intrigue that will have you frantically turning the pages! An exciting storyline that makes you feel as if you are there watching the story as it unfolds! Fun, enjoyable, intense and emotionally moving! Amazing hot chemistry you just want to sink your teeth into! One heck of an amazing must read!
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
Caleb is the sixth book in The Lost Breed Series and is a part of The Lost Breed MC Box Set (Books #1 - 10). I binged this series back-to-back and found a dark MC romance series with all the ingredients needed to make for engrossing reading. Everything from action, violence, revenge, intrigue, drama, danger, tension, bad boys, high stakes, emotion, chemistry, steam, suspense, challenges, angst, family dynamic/drama, sweet and tender scenes, vulnerability, passion, band of brothers, sinister foes, agendas, secrets, and more. And with all the tropes that we know and love like opposites attract, second chances, protective Alpha-type males, damsels in distress, chosen family, ride-or-die, finding love unexpectedly, single parent, risking it all for love, redemption, eye for an eye, romantic suspense, and good girl/bad boy ---- just to name a few. This was such a great introduction to the author’s work, and even though this is my first time between her covers, it certainly won’t be the last. If you love MC romance and all the sexy, intriguing, suspenseful details that come with a band of bad boy finding their ‘one’- then this is definitely the books/series for you. Happy Reading…
The dancer Lauren had to know what she did to Caleb right?
Caleb - youngest and last single MC member. Still mourning the death of Ryder’s nephew, Jason and MC member Hyde at the hands of Issac. Issac slipped past them again. The Lost Breeds MC we’re tired of Issac walking around the city and doing what he wanted. All the members of the Lost Breed were on high alert. Their heads literally having to be on swivels 24/7. Caleb’s lead security position at Kadia a happening nightclub seemed to be the highlight of his week. There he would get to watch Lauryn dance. He’s been fascinated with her for years.
Lauryn - single mom to Jayden. Nightclub dancer, girlfriend to Cliff. Cliff was abusive and mooching off Lauryn. When he was evicted he made himself at home with Lauryn. Lauryn had invited him but didn’t know what she was getting into. Until one night, Cliff had gone too far and Caleb saved the day.
Caleb and Lauryn were coworkers, friends. Nothing more could form after Caleb kicked Cliff to the curb right?
Caleb may be a bada*s MC guy but he's not so rough around the edges. The MC has lost two of their own in a short time...a killer/monster has done a number on the MC and they are all feeling it. Caleb feels lost, the others all have a partner and he doesn't...but he's felt something for one of the dancers at the club he works at as security, of which he's the"boss". Lauryn is a dancer and raising her son by herself...she's liked Caleb for awhile and now that her jerk boyfriend is out of the picture he makes a move...Sexy, handsome, smart Caleb makes his move and WOW! But nothing ever stays just good when there's that monster and his brother out there. Can Caleb keep Lauryn safe? Great storyline with awesome characters!! Definitely recommend this to anyone that loves tough MC, sexy bikers
This book didn't click with me. I don't like MC series books where there is no mention of previous female characters. The only female character that is mentioned in every book is of Dani. No one knows what is happening with other ladies. How many kids they have or how old they are. Lauryn is a junkie from the start who can't stop taking Zandra and is severely codependent. She hooks up immediately with Caleb after breaking with Cliff who she is dating just so that she is not alone even though she has a son. I am all for MC ladies to be innocent and naive but a codependent woman is just not what a feminist would accept. She just came across as whiny and needy, she either needed a man or drugs to feel good about herself.
I chose this rating because I really enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed most of the characters to except for about two. This was a book of compassion, protection, loving yourself, and you know it was about revenge as well. I was glad Lauren got out of that abusive relationship she was in. The guy that Lauren was with before Caleb ended up being Isaacs brother the one that the Lost Breed MC was hunting for. I was happy that Lauren and Caleb got together. I believe they each needed someone in their lives that was going to be their for them. Great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Caleb is the youngest member of the Lost Breed MC. He seems to be the only one without a significant other after he breaks up with his girlfriend. He doesn’t miss her but he misses the companionship. He is in charge of security at the hottest club in town. The lead dancer, Lauryn, has been catching his attention for a while now. Events unfold which might bring them together. Can the MC bring down their arch nemesis? Will Lauryn and Caleb get their HEA?
Lauryn, a cage dancer at Kadia, is desperate for a change and in comes Caleb, a member of the Lost Breed MC and head of security at Kadia. As their story progresses both Lauryn and Caleb find themselves overcome with loneliness, fighting to have a life worth living and dealing with enemies in both their lives. There are plenty of twist that will leave the reader amazed at the turns the book takes. I truly love this series and I would like to see the series continue with Rhys, Aiden, Owen, and Liam. That is if they let Ali & Weston Parker tell their story.
Caleb was the last of the old MC club to find his soul mate. He and Lauryn had worked together for several years and they both were dating other people. Caleb had always fantasized about her and when her boyfriend became abusive, Caleb stepped in to help. The conflict with MC club was reaching critical levels and Caleb was reluctant to put Lauryn and her son at risk. I won’t spoil anything but this story is action packed, tense and hot as heck! Whew! Loved this series!
What a great series! I frequently do not like MC books, but I have really enjoyed meeting the men that make up the Lost Breed MC club. This book is about Caleb, the youngest member. He also has a job as the head of security at Kadia, a nightclub, where Lauryn dances. The chemistry between them has been sizzling, until it just explodes. HOT, HOT! Also, there is lots of suspense, as a killer has been after the Lost Breeds. This book is so good, that I did not want to put it down, so I highly recommend it.
Lauding has had a hard life being a single parent and having an abusive partner but her love for her son Jayden helps her through the days. Caleb runs a nightclub and hasn't had a good life either and so far they met each other and being the youngest of the MC brothers he gets a lot of teasing from the other's 😀💛 Jamie she sounds amazing so good with the kids I would love a friend like her. Loving these MC romances can't wait for more thanks for writing these amazing stories Ali 💛xxx
I loved Caleb and Lauryn's story!! They made such a great couple!! He helped her and her son get out of a bad relationship! He had likes her from the first moment he saw her. When her was down she protected him and not let the bad men hurt him anymore!! So glad they got there happy ending!! They both deserved it!! I love the whole The Lost Breed MC Series!! I would recommend this book and the whole series to everyone!
I am enjoying the heck out of this series. I was worried about Caleb after Hyde’s murder as he became even more somber. Whew finally approached Lauryn, I knew he was on the way toward recovery. Tat all depended, of course, on taking care of Isaac. The author has such a way with the storyline and the characters that each book is a surprise every time. I highly recommend this book.
Caleb is another great addition to the Lost Breed MC series. I’m going to be honest when saying that for a short moment while reading this book, I was a little conflicted by Lauryn’s choices, and I couldn’t relate to her. Caleb brings out something in her that enables her to make better decisions. Their connection was amazing. And the same could be said about Caleb, him being with Lauryn opened him up to brighter things in life. Their journey together was exciting, and enjoyable to read.
A Great Story to End the Series.....hopefully for the time being
This story is heartfelt with grit. I loved Caleb. Caleb and Lauryn are perfect couple. Their love story is heartwarming. This is the last of the series but the authors have left an opening to continue the saga of the The Lost Breed MC without jeopardizing this series. 📖💖
This series gets better with each book..plenty of good old fashioned fights and rumbles and hard bodied men..covered with tattoos and built for fighting..and for loving…each character brings something different to the table…and it’s hot and heavy reading…loved it…ready for more
I absolutely love this series! This story picks up where the last one ends. The MC is still searching for the killer. Caleb is lonely and wants his own girl. Seeing his friends pairing up makes him want that happiness for himself.
Enjoyed reading about Caleb and his life and how "The Hand" was finally taken down. I was surprised to learn that Cliff was "The Hands Brother", definitely made the story come together. Hot romance and rough times.
So glad to see Caleb get his true happily ever after! I love how this story unfolded and tied together all the rest of the series. Which leads me to ask if Rhys will get his own book after the skeletons mentioned. Inquiring minds want to know!
I have read all 6 of the Lost Breed MC books. I love every one of them. I am really hoping that you write more books in this series. I love you books the way you write them is amazing.
I thought that this book was really fast pace wise. I liked the ending with Cliff and Isaac. I wouldn't mind seeing Jamie more in the books. In this one she just showed up to watch Jayden; I know she was paired with Hyde but I wouldn't mind seeing her with one of the new boys that show up.
The Hand drama continues as he goes after the Caleb. When it involves Lauryn Caleb goes into overdrive! Lauryn also had her own drama that needed taken care of all whiles supporting herself and young son. This is MC at its best. The story is action packed and never a dull moment!
Once again Ms. Parker has wild and thrilled me I love her MC romance stories the Lost Breed in particular, as long as she keeps writing them I'll keep reading them.
This is the sixth book in The Lost Breed MC Series by Ali Parker and Weston Parker. I have read and enjoyed each and every one of these stories and look forward to as many of them as they compose for us. One of the things that I especially love about this series is the way characters that that I've met and loved in the various books keep 'popping up' in subsequent stories and it is so nice to 'see' how they are carrying on in their HEAs. In this book about Caleb, we learn so much about him - who he really is and not just the outward appearance but what makes him who he is. He has a heart of gold and does all he can to help those he cares about. One in particular being a single mum, Lauryn, who dances at the club where he provides security. But with trouble from rival MC gangs and an abusive ex for Lauryn, Caleb is the man who is there for her and always will be if she will trust him. I must confess that it took time for me to warm to Lauryn as her past decisions were very troubling to me but it certainly took Caleb to help her clear her vision of her past and future for herself and her son. I loved the interactions between the two of them, the chemistry between them that practically sizzles off the pages whenever they are together. Hoping that this isn't the last in the series and that Ali and Western will continue this series for us loyal fans, I will finish by saying that I am looking forward to reading book 7, hopefully, in the series. It was well worth the purchase price and I really enjoyed this latest episode in the Series.
