Student Affairs: by Julia Sutton
This is the third book in a series of four following the lives of five students as they complete their second year of an English degree at Chattlesbury University.
Just like the first two books in the series, the characters are extremely well portrayed and as their stories unfold, they endear themselves to your heart. I’m not ashamed to admit that I actually cried at one point!
I read the unravelling storyline with anticipation and hope. Would Sophie have the strength to go it alone, or would she return to her cheating husband? Would Juliette make amends with the dashing Uni lecturer, Ben Rivers or were they doomed to wander around the university like lost souls? How about Ann and her husband? Would they find a foster child to love or was Ann’s husband pushing her too fast too soon?
Will and Hema are now the proud parents of a baby girl, but they also have troubles brewing. Not everything will be plane sailing for the young parents. And what about the eldest member of the group, Evelyn? In the second book she lost her mother, would she find something or someone to fill the void in her empty heart and home?
It is a story filled with love in all its forms, their hopes and dreams for the future amidst the University campus and the dreaded end of year exams. Will they all have a happy ending? I’m not telling! Read the book and see for yourselves. A lovely read which I highly recommend.
