I wanted to write Kickstart for two reasons. Firstly, I enjoyed creating and launching my books so much that I wanted to share that experience. Secondly, writing a book is only half the battle. Creating a #1 Bestseller is even harder. This book breaks the book launch process down into smaller, more manageable chunks. If I can inspire just one person to take a leap of faith and successfully launch their book to #1 Bestseller status, then I have succeeded and the world will be one book richer. This book is ultimately an answer to the “How can I guarantee my book launch will be a success?” KICKSTART will show - The 20 secrets to a successful book launch - Planning your book launch with a detailed timeline from two months before your launch date - What tools to use in order to build a successful book launch in a more automated fashion - Other ways to market and publicise your book by leveraging other people’s networks and not exhausting your own

My Background
From 18-22 I worked as a systems analyst for a medical devices company, helping them to grow from £1m to £1.5m turnover. During that time 5 people were made redundant due to the systems I introduced making the company more profitable.
From 2004 to 2014 I ran a successful design and advertising agency serving over 250 clients. I delivered workshops and masterclasses to over 1,000 business owners on subjects including marketing, product architecture, pricing, websites and digital advertising.
A good high level overview to give you ideas for launching a book. Some ideas I will defo implement and it was good to get advice on the author website side of things.
At this point I am not a fan of this selling your book for 99p and putting it in obscure sections just to get to no1 so that side I may not pursue. (Let’s see if I change my mind on that one).
There were a lot of spelling/grammar error and kindle formatting issues in this book which could put people off reading his others. It feels quite rushed as a result.
It is the first of his I have read but I do also own another and will still read it as I have heard him speak and know Robin has great ideas. Worth a read if you are going to launch a business book.
