Born 1986 in the prefecture Aichi, Horikoshi first attracted attention in the second half of 2006 when he entered Shueisha's 72th Tezuka Award for Newcomers with his one shot "Nukegara" and made it to the final six, where he gained himself an "Honorable Mention".
Various short stories in Shueisha's Akamaru JUMP followed over the years until he published his one shot "Oumagadoki Doubutsuen" in issue #2/2010 of Weekly Shounen JUMP.

Kouhei Horikoshi is a graduate of Nagoya University of Arts. He was previously an assistant to TANAKA Yasuki.

5 estrellas absolutas porque amo a Kirishima, es todo lo que está bien. Es pura luz.

Tamaki tienen un quirk súper interesante y Fat Gum me encanta.

La pequeña Eri, pobre. Y el terrible Overhaul, probablemente mi villano favorito de todo este manga.

Dramaaaaaaa. I need to hurry up and get my hands on volume 16 now!! Kinda bummed Todoroki was only in this twice and Tokoyami wasn't in it at all, but I'm glad we're getting to know Kirishima a bit more.

Internships are shaping up nicely, but it’s really the villain’s developments that have got the chapter pumping this time. We’ve got a girl in distress and her powers are being milked like a drug in the super hero world. Kinda rather horrible, all told. So a ton are going out in force to save her. The younglings are going to get their chance to shine. :)

What's what in the story: The heroes and the students are trying to stop the Yakuza from developing their quirk-destroying weapon and save the little girl who is at the center of the Yakuza's scheme, what will happen next?

My thoughts:

Okay, so here we go again, the whole 'guys want to become stronger' trapping---to be fair, girls want to become stronger as well but in this volume the story isn't focused on the girls...so....I'll cross my fingers to see how things will turn out.

But I'm glad to see more of Red Riot's development.

PS: I admit I read the super cute boy's love fanfics basing on this series first before I got to the canon. XD

I feel like I say this with most every volume, but I truly feel this mission is more intense then anything else so far. Not sure if it’s just because it’s centered around saving a little girl being abused, which is a subject close to my heart, or what, but the way Deku wants and attempts to protect her and how she remembers his kind touch is so POWERFUL and really touched me in a way I can’t even explain.

I love how Eraser Head is sticking by Deku in this and supporting him—he really does care about his students even if he doesn’t show it a lot, haha. I don’t like Nighteye any better after all this went down; the guy just REALLY rubes me the wrong way and I don’t know why. But I love Fat Gum, he’s cool!

And we got a big spotlight on Kirishima! I’ve always liked him and seeing hints of his backstory and his power up was awesome! I love how the longer format of manga allows for growth and expansion of characters outside of the MC and both Kirishima and pieces of All Might’s story are no exception and really deepen these characters and their motivations. And then Ida and Todoroki trying to cheer Deku up—they’re all just so precious and I love their friendship!

Very much still enjoying this series and eager as always to continue!

There's so much to love with this volume. This is the beginning of the next big mission that will likely put Midoriya and his new mentor in the spotlight as they try to redeem themselves as heroes. I love the strong emotions here and how passionate our heroes are in their new big shoes. I can't wait to see how they'll each learn new skills and use them in their upcoming battles.

I am, however, a bit sad that some heroes are put aside for the time being. I do hope they'll get some kind of epic entrance back into the gave as their banter with other characters was just too much fun.

Different issue. Lot of new characters and what I would call a more «tactical» story/plot. Something big is coming and the cover of #16 look way darker so I think this is going to be great too.

There is a great deal of character growth and plot development in this Volume. Old quirks get stronger. New quirks are introduced.
Eri's quirk, Rewind, seemed the coolest to me in this one. Imagine having the power to rewind or revert someone's physical state, all the way back to when they didn't even exist? God! What would that kind of death even feel like? It's scary-crazy!

So it looks like we've gone properly into our next arc, with a Quirk-powered Yakuza gang distributing rather... destructive... drugs (of a sort) as a weapon against those heroes with Quirks. And a poor innocent child stuck in the middle of everything as a potential asset (to BOTH sides).

Now, it's up to this mismatched collection of heroes (+ heroes in training) to save the poor girl, defeat the Yakuza, and take one [potentially] deadly drug off the streets!

So, their partnership dissolved because of All Might’s injuries, and a difference in opinion to how All Might should conduct himself in the wake of it, huh? Makes sense really. Logical (Nighteye) vs. Emotional (All Might).

Welp. Deku now knows for certain that All Might made hi inherit as pretty much a whim. Shit.

Solita premessa: non hai i fumetti come fumetti e conosco già la trama dell'opera avendo già visto l'anima che ne era stato tratto.

Ciò nonostante devo dire che questo è uno dei volumi, se non quello in assoluto, che mi è piaciuto maggiormente, cosa che a questo punto devo dire mi ha sorpresa, considerando gli ultimi volumi da me letti.

Credo che però questo mio maggior apprezzamento sia dovuto al contenuto di questo volume, che coincide con un arco narrativo che avevo già molto gradito nell'anime e al fatto che le vignette usate per illustrare gli avvenimenti fossero esattamente quelle necessarie per raccontare i fatti.

this volume is actually perfection: good plot, good new characters, good suspense, and good fights.
Eri is finally here, and her story is heartbreaking as I remembered: luckily I know her story has a happy ending.
Nighteye was a good addiction to the adult- heroes cast.
kirishima, when he finds himself in a bad position while fighting, thinks about a previous talk that he had with Bakugo, and my Bakushima heart is screaming!
Watching Deku learning that All Might will die was painful but, considering the next arcs, necessary.

Lo que me gusta de este tomo es que hay un montón de personajes nuevos y vemos cómo es el mundo de los profesionales en cuanto a cómo se organizan y demás. Vemos la planeación, no solo la pelea en sí como en veces anteriores. Yyy también vemos qué es lo que se trae entre manos Overhaul. Amazing as usual. This book definitely has much more character development and plot. At this point, I don't think I can ever rate this manga series anything less than 5 stars.

The author/artist gets better at executing everything. Almost everything they do is magic. The author has done everything so well and the art & plot was on spot. I want more from this series and although I'm not even halfway through, I'm already soo in love!!!

Très contente d'avoir un arc spécialement sur le big 3 ainsi qu'avec des personnages comme tsuyu et eijiro qui mérite d'être sous le feu des projecteurs. Ce tome-ci met surtout en avant Eikiro qui je trouve à beaucoup évolué depuis le début du manga. Tamaki me fait énormément rire et son caractère est l'un de mes préférés.
J'ai hâte de savoir comment ils vont réussir à secourir la petite Eri, le prochaintome s'anonce riche en action.

و اینم از جلد پانزدهم مانگا my hero academia...
این جلد شروع ارک گروه هشت گناه بود و بیشتر روی مقدمه چینی هایی برای عملیات نجات اری متمرکز بود و در اخر جلد عملیات شروع شد بخوام بهتر بگم این جلد توضیحاتی در مورد گروه هشت حکم میداد که در حال چه کاری هستن و همینطور بعضی از کرکتر ها هم فایت هایی باهاشون داشتن اما نبرد اصلی اخر جلد اغاز شد...
آرت بسیار خوب و جذابی داشت و مثل همیشه عالی بود و ارت استایل شخصیت ها ی جدید رو دوست داشتم مخصوصا کیساکی رهبر گروه هشت حکم که خیلی ارت استایل خفنی داشت...
و امیدوارم که این ارک هم ارک خفنی در بیاد و توی جلد های بعدی شاهد پیشرفت داستان و همچنین فایت ها باشیم...
این مانگا رو از دست ندید....

This was an interesting volume. I enjoyed following a few different students out on their work study internships, especially when it became clear that they were all working on smaller parts of a larger job that brought all of them together into a big collaboration of various hero agencies. I'm curious to see what will happen with this as the story progresses.

¡ME ENCANTÓ!
Después del encuentro con Eri y Overhaul, Deku y Lemillion se quedan con un amargo sabor de boca (que después -espero- logren compensar).
Ahora, dos momentos en el manga que me fascinaron al por mayor:
* La plática de Deku con All Might acerca del futuro ... quiero decir ¿en verdad era necesario esta clase de dolor, Horikoshi? sé que sí; es más, sé qué pasará con AM, (incluso con el Quirk de Mirio) pero es muy duro hacerse la idea de ya no verlo, y que él tampoco logrará ver a Deku convertirse en el mejor héroe. Sólo sé esos datos, no sé cuándo ni donde, pero el hecho que Nighteye ya lo haya previsto hace que la situación se sienta más pesada ... incluso pude sentir la presión que experimentaba Deku.
*El otro momento es la batalla de Red Riot, de mis personajes más consentidos, amados y anhelados (Kirishima es el besto boy, u can't fight me on this one) ¡Su mega endurecimiento es impactante! ¡además la forma en la que peleó con el de las navajas! ¡su determinación! en verdad me encanta ese personaje y me gusta que ya esté teniendo más protagonismo que sólo ser "el único al que Bakugou ha aceptado".
Ahora los héroes se preparan para el rescate de Eri, pero no cuentan con que Overhaul ya los está esperando... o eso parece.

Ok, I need the next volume now. Fucking NOW. NOT DECEMBER, BUT NOW. I have to admit, I feel like the stakes are getting higher and higher in such a good way. I heard so many people complain about the pacing and all that (and I believed them at one point as I never read it so assumed), but I don’t see any issues with it. Honestly, this series is just so good.
