I always wondered how Marge, Gertie,and, Ida Belle,Grew up, and how the whole
gang was started. This is the beginning of the trios life story. They were as much
as kicks as they were as adults. Loved adventure and sticking it to their cousins
Cilia as they do as adults. A interesting from their child hood through adults. Making
the sheriff Carters life miserable. A funny and interesting story full of high jinks.

Undercover practice to become undercover for real
Gertie, Ida Belle and Marge -the original Swamp Team 3 . This give the background of these 3 from being childhood friends up to when they join the Army. A great story to fill in on many Sinful residents before they became adults and before Fortune comes to Sinful. And the antic started even when they were adults.

Great!
I loved the story. Reading about the start of Swamp Team 3 as they start their military career was a brilliant idea. I love their personalities and thoughts as 20 yr olds. I really enjoyed reading about their parents and Aunt Lou. Hurry with the one!

Ida Belle and Gertie, the Early Years
I enjoyed reading this account of Ida Belle, Gertie, and Marge. I’ll think of these explanations as I read further into Jana DeLeon’s Fortune series.

Loved it
I had read a few of Shari Hearn Miss Fortune World books before and a few from others as well. Shari's is by far the best of them. This one was probably my favorite. Can't wait to read more.

A catch
Overall, very enjoyable. One glitch was on one page it was written that Marge's mother was working in the photo shop while they were waiting for the bus to go to the Army. The next page had her at the bus stop crying over the girls departing.

Cute and nice easy read.
This is the type of book you can read in a few days. However you are given a great sense of the actors of the story and how they got placed into future stories.

Sheri Hearn faithfully executes the Miss Fortune history. She handles the characters behavior so that logically leads into their natures in Jeana's writings.

I love all the Miss Fortune books. Never tire of them. Fast paced but not so riveting that you can't put them down.

Mixed feelings about this story
Undercover is the story I’ve always been curious about. Just how did Ida Belle, Gertie and Marge end up in the military, and in their undercover roles? (Plus it also answered the question “was Celia always this horrible?”)
But, this was not written by Jana DeLeon. It didn’t come from the creator of these characters, which is where my conflicted emotions come into play. Don’t misunderstand. I did enjoy it. And yes, Celia was always a vindictive so and so. Luckily, Shari Hearn has managed a similar style to DeLeon that made it so easy to fall into the story, but, it just isn’t the same as getting the backstory of Swamp Team Three from the horses mouth. This is first foray into their history is something I think that should have come from DeLeon, and then other authors could have run with it.
But that’s just my opinion.

Great story of how Swamp Team 3 came to be
Think this one of my all time favorite . How the oriental swamp team 3 Marg IdaBell Gertie start as young girls to just before they joined the army. We get but if history on several other key characters ,Maria Sherrod Lee and Cecli
