Good set of 3 books that seems to start on a romance with domination but is actually a deeper thriller and societal story.
I liked that the characters were more complex than they could appear at the beginning of the story.
A part of the story is quite hot, some parts are a little violent, but the story also brings elements of reflection on the place of women in the different societies around the world, their sexuality, their liberties with regard to men and cultures.
Claire (18 years old) after having teasing men on the internet and having them blocked when she was bored or they became too enterprising, is certain, from her dreams, that what she is looking for a relationship in which she would be dominated, surprised in the street and abused. She plunges into the dark web to find happiness and she finds "Buriedtreasure" but he quickly knows a lot about her and she understands that she has a stalker who follows her. Suddenly the fantasy dream seems to turn into a nightmare, but in fact, the fantasy of the two characters intensifies in the right direction for them until the events of his past in the army, put them both in danger.

A little dark romance, a little thriller, a little erotica…A LOT HOT!
This is the complete story told in three books in Claire’s POV. When the book opens, she is an 18yo high school student looking for some excitement in her life. It’s only she and her mom b/c her father died in a plane crash, which appears to still trouble her. She refers to this several times throughout the books. Claire discovers and explores the dark web and finds a site where you can leave your most erotic desires, which for her are being stalked, kidnapped and ravaged. Claire finds a willing partner in “BuriedTreasure” aka Sirius, former soldier with a very dark side. Why is he so haunted? What happens next is surprising and kept the story from just being a dark romance/erotica. Although I didn’t like the book getting political in the end, I thought how Sirius explained himself and his war experience poignant. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.

The trilogy reads like three segments of the same book, as it flows so smoothly from one to another.
Author Myra Brightholme weaves an 18 year old girl's erotic fantasies into a contrast with her everyday coming of age events. At school, she's something of a geek and her friends try unsuccessfully to set her up with the school hunk. At home she lives alone with her widowed mother and surfs the internet looking at adult dating sites, (where she teases other members in a saucy vlog) and a dark web fetish site, that encourages her to act on her fantasies of domination and bondage.
When a young ex-soldier suffering from PTSD after tours of duty in Afghanistan and guilt about what he and his mates took part in with local women, comes upon the site and sees fantasies similar to his own sexual needs, it seems a match made in heaven, but real life is never like that.
I would recommend this trilogy to fans of fantasy erotic romances with a dark side and no guarantee of an HEA. Get your copy today and take a walk on the wild side!

This set of 3 books was an interesting read.at first I found it hard to get in to but I persevered and really enjoyed it. Claire a high school girl has fantasies of being chased and taken by an army man so when do ends up in contact via the dark web her fantasies become real. Along the way reality takes a turn for the worse and she ends up in a trafficking situation. Not sure to trust the man in her life. Finally when all settles down and she's at collage she finally realises Sirius is all the man she needs but convincing her family meet be another story. Extreme passions and danger are the design for these books but fun to read.

Taken by the Rock. This was not your typical hard sexy book. This book surprised me because I was able to connect with the characters. Sirius has a fantasy. Claire has a fantasy. They connect through the Internet and began to play out their fantasies with each other. Things begin great but take a turn when someone from Sirius' past shows up. It also gets ugly when Claire's mom finds out she is dating some. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

Excellent and Tasteful...
Very well written. Loved the style you used to describe the details of sex etc...
All 3 books were very interesting.
First book gives you the introduction to Claire and her thoughts.
Book 2 introduces more people to the plot. Much more fast pace and tense. Loved how you described words using more powerful words to imprint the image.
Book 3- A tone down to the second book but still good.
Enjoyed all 3 books.
Will definitely follow author to read more of her great writing skills.

This is a box set of 3 books.
This is a steamy dark read, a book of an 18yo coming of age and a soldier suffering with PTSD. It contains fantasy, twists and turns and should come with a warning.
I enjoyed the book but was left a bit disappointed as l feel the author could of extended on the ending and made this a five star book.

Dark web
I'm happy this was the complete series, although each book is its own standalone story it just builds from the previous story. Lots of drama, action as well suspense and of course it's hot and steamy! Myra makes you want to turn the page to see what happens next. Each story that she writes is something new :). I look forward to reading more.

This is my first book by Myra Brightholme and I got greatly impressed by this series. Taken by the rock is a dark romance with a essence of BDSM and being a erotic romance, this book really marked its path in my favorites. Not only BDSM but this book has every other things....love and emotion flow is really great. The series was handled well and I just loved it

This box set is where Claire is a eighteen year old that wants some excitement in her life. Then Claire discovers the dark web where you can post your most erotic desires / fantasies. Was this written by a pre-teen?
The writing was repetitive, irritating, and had childish sexual innuendo. The story was slow moving and bored me to tears. I rarely write had reviews, but I have not read anything that was as painful to read as this was. Pass and do yourself a favor!

A COVER DOES NOT A BOOK MAKE – THE INSIDE MAY BE BETTER THAN THE OUTSIDE
An ex-military trilogy with a twist into the dark games. It was amazing to see how two characters going through the same war turned out differently and their views on women.

Claire and Sirius are hot and sexy! I love this collection! Even though Claire is just a 18 yr old high school senior she's had dark fantasies about being forcibly taken. Sirius sees her postings and decides to make her fantasy a reality.
