I moved into the bad side of town. And it seems like two bad guys live next door to me… Moving into a shady neighborhood was scary to me. I expected the problems, but I didn’t expect the two scary guys living across from me, or the animal need I quickly developed for them. With a crazy ex, a psychopath tracking my sister to kidnap her and her child, and money problems, I don’t have time to think about myself. And yet… I can’t help but become more and more attracted to them. Both of them want me, and I’m stuck in the middle. I can’t choose either of them… should I take both? This is a full-length novel with an HEA. Over 60,000 words of pleasure! 18+ Only. Enjoy!
I am at a bit of a loss over how to rate this book. It was bad-- horrendously so, but bad in such a unique way that I read until the end. Many low-price, self-published romance books on Amazon have a certain boring sameness about them: the heroines are nice with just the *right* degree of sass, the hero is proficient at any task he takes on, et cetera. This author hasn't read all those books. Maybe this author read a book about the physics of sound as applied to car stereo systems and talked to some high school students about relationships and streamed some adult entertainment and threw all that in a blender and came up with this "romance." No, really. It's as if you gave a kid one of those Lego kits for building a car and they came back and showed you their "car"-- only it looked like a cross between a hydra, a rocket ship, and a pizza.
So this author gets high points for originality, but I wouldn't choose to read her again (assuming I remember the name). There was SO MUCH EXPOSITION. The author has not taken to heart the "show don't tell" philosophy, because we are told practically everything. In big chunks of text and tedious detail. There are word use errors-- some homophone errors and some "I don't think this word means what you think it means" errors. At times, all of the principal characters behave boorishly. In short, this book will have you turning the pages only to answer the question, "What IS this thing that I'm reading?" Hey, that might make a nice change! Enjoy!
Good simple romance at first then with action at the end. The first part can seem quite long because the characters settle with all their problems and Maria, has a lot of problems. Ben and Rasmus are not necessarily better than her, but they take it more calmly, less desperately. Unlike other stories where characters quickly end up in a threesome, here nothing is so predictable and feelings and friendly relationships to trust each other, take a lot of time. But it's when this trust is present between them, that each one opens and can advance. If we add the action of the end of the story, the whole is pleasant to read with few hot scenes, a little violence related to the problems around everyone (family, blackmail, poor neighborhood, work, sexism, ex boyfriend, ex-spouse) Maria moves into a new neighborhood for a new job in order to leave her family who exploited and humiliated her when they never did anything, not to mention her sister who had to flee with her son to escape her ex-husband who is in prison, and her ex-spouse. It all starts badly: it's raining, she's alone to move in, and two people are looking at her and waiting for her to ask for help, which she refuses to do to make herself feel weak again. These are her two neighbors, and finally they help her despite her opinion. She then learns to know them with their problems just as cumbersome as hers. But Maria is a nice girl, simple and not the type to sleep with everyone who crosses her life, (moreover, they 're two men), even if she finds them attractive. Everything is complicated a little more when his past life comes to endanger their current life. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Honestly this story is all over the place, it feels like there are always twenty different things going on for the main characters. The basic plot is spot on but the author puts too much extra stuff into it. Like the crazy ex, the family that doesn't really do anything for the story line, and then the weird obsession with the speaker job which just confuses the reader from the main plot line.
The characters start out strong and REALLY developed but then half way through the book a it's like a straight down slope. The guys start off being written as sexy and rugged take charge men but by the middle of the book they're more dare I say wimpy and child like? It's like the author forgot what the characters were like half way though and went with it.
Overall: I wouldn't recommend, I liked it at first I was like oh yeah this is going to be a good book but then the good part of the book came to a screeching end that didn't pick back up.
Maria is moving to a new place away from her parents and at first she is afraid of her neighbors. Her live isn't easy at all, but living in this bad neighborhood she finds herself and the strength in herself.
She also finds friendship with the two handsome bad boy neighbors. It was so funny what she did the first time when she was drunk. What she did the second time she was drunk, could have written down in more hot details. Will Maria get out of her mess of will it catch up with her? For the answer on that you have to read the book.
Because I read another book of this writer first I was expecting more hot action with the sexy bad boy neighbors as there was in this book. That is why I gave it four stars instead of five.
The book has a lot going on. Aside from Maria’s own story, there is a story in the background about her sister, Ben & Terra’s past, Ben & Rasmus’ current situation, Rasmus’ past. All these are great because it adds depth to the characters and makes a reader curious about their motivations. The issue is the lack of dialogue and repetitive narrative which made the book hard to read. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
This was an interesting story, started with a romance between 3 people that have a lot going on in their lives and then evolved into an action packed kidnapping. There is a lot going on in this story, Maria has things going on, Ben and Rasmus have story going, then they have whatever they got together. Friendship, romance, action with some spicy scenes.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It kept building and building and I was getting more excited and hoping that it would just become a f*cking filth fest... and then.... it was over. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. PS: Please don't make all the sex scenes occur when she is drunk and can't remember so all we get is the start where she propositions them and then the end were she wakes up covered in baby batter... I need all the good stuff in the middle!!

Wow! This story definitely has its ups and downs like a roller coaster. But man on man is it worth reading. Lots of drama, action, suspense, and of course hot steamy sex. Now I've got to see what else Myra he's out there. ARC received from BookSprout for an honest voluntary review. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 18 and older!
Great storyline! Maria moves to be away from her family and have her own life. She meets her neighbors, Rasmus and Ben. Although she fears them at first, she overcomes her fears and develops a relationship with them. Most of the, story is buildup for the last few chapters. Love the ending, but wish there was an epilogue showing them committed and settled.
This might just be the worst romance novel I have ever read. Not sure it should even be labeled a romance. Not even sure why I kept reading. Seriously. It was terrible. Maria was annoying as hell. There was NO chemistry between them. One minute their just friends, and the next minute, they’re taking her at the same time (and the author skipped that scene completely). Such a waste.
WoW good short read . I was hooked on the chemistry between Maria , Ben and Rasmus . I promise you'll love this book ! Myra is great at making her characters believed . The action keeps.you involved in the storyline .
I honestly couldn't finish it. Which is really rare for me. It drew me in at first and then just dragged with no interest from chapter 3ish until I quit in the middle of the book. I put it in my "should have skipped" folder.
This story was different from the stories I have been reading. A young lady out to free herself from her overly dominating family moves into a shady part of town. Soon she meets her neighbors. Read to find out what happens. For mature readers.
The book started off on but then just dragged, she made the men and main character seem to childish and inexperienced. It just kinda struck me as immature all the way around. Just not my mind of book!
Very boring. No action, very little sex, it was like reading a bad Harlequin, but with no action. When you see this type of book you expect sex seems in it. Very disappointing.
I read through so many chapters and 0 action, I desperately trying to finish it just forget about it. Sorry waaayyyyy to much drama and not enough action..
Awesome!!! Loved this story and it had made me from beginning to end! Loved the ending! It was perfect! This story made me laugh, cry, and root for the underdogs. A must read!!!
