How to Think Like Obama

Rate this book
Barack Obama's path towards greatness and the choices he made along the way can be understood by an attitude that saw him take on any challenge—indeed, "Yes We Can" became the all-inclusive slogan for his presidential candidacy. Obama aimed to define his presidency as one that would provide opportunities for the many, not the few. With the price of change being gritty negotiation and compromise, he evolved the skills of a 21st century president which belied his relative inexperience to achieve the America that, as a young man, he had dreamed of. This book   reveals the motivations, inspirations, and philosophies behind a man who broke the mold to challenge the status quo. With his thoughts on leadership, innovation, overcoming obstacles, and fighting inequality, and with quotes by and about him, this book can teach you to think like Barack Obama.

HOW TO THINK LIKE OBAMA by Daniel Smith
No of pages:- 224
The book is really interesting as it tells us various facts about Mr. Obama. The writter has written every fact by giving examples of Mr. Obama's life and also shares roles of different people in their life. The book tells us about various obstacles that came into Mr. Obama's life during presidency and even before it. It shows how strong are opinions of Me. Obama and how optimistic, active and well managed person he is.
Some of the points discussed in the book are related to-
Everything starts with family,
Be master of your own identity, Your heritage is your identity, Dare to Dream, Be the change you seek, Pressure Shared are Pressures Halved, Parenthood is the top job, Expect the Unexpected, Don't be afraid to compromise, etc. It is a bit motivational but not written in motivational context. It teaches you the things that Obama has always tried to share with people through his life incidents in his speeches.

Very well written, the author has much information about the life of Obama. He best described both positive and not-perfect sides of his presidency and philosophy of life.
