I recently read this book to a group of children at the primary school i was working in last year. All the children in the group thought it was fantastic and once i had finished reading it asked me to read it again. The illustrations in the book enhanced the story. The range of vocabulary and the sentence lengths in the book were easy for the children to follow througout the story, with the childrens attention constantly on the book and what was going to happen next. The boys especially enjoyed listening to this story and asked me if there were any other books in this series that they could read for themselves. There are a range of books in this series which would definately appeal to all children in key stage 2, especially the boys, giving them fun and disgusting things to read about. Many boys in the group did not enjoy reading but after i read this book to them have purchased other books in this series to read for themselves. I would definately recommend this book to any children who do not like reading as the disgustingly, hillarious story lines and funny adventures would make them want to read more.

Book split into two stories. No chapters with the book roughy 100 pages long. Story one about bogeys, story two about smelly socks. Enough to keep the kids entertained with silly and disgusting antics. However not my favourite and once you’ve started your committed to the whole story.. 3/5 stars for me… my son said 5!

No storyline. Completely gross and weird. The only thing that got this 2 stars is the illustrations. Not recommended unless you just want to be the weirdest kid at school.

I thought this would be perfect for my boys, but their reaction couldn't have been more lacklustre. They didn't find it funny. Just disgusting. It was good enough for us to finish. But not wow enough for us to want to read any more in the series.
