Gather an escort. Acquire a dragon hoard. Build an empire …
Steven Drokharis knew that embracing his destiny as one of the most powerful Dragonsouls to ever live would be difficult, but he had no idea that he’d be pushed to his very limits.
Ten days after rescuing Aria and ending the life of an insane Dragonskin, Steven and his escort find themselves going toe-to-toe with Rhaegen Mulk—the deadly Dragonsoul responsible for the death of Steven’s parents. And Rhaegen Mulk doesn’t fight fair. He will pull out all the stops to end Steven before he can grow his escort and establish a primacy of his own. If Steven is going to win, he’ll need to level up his skills as a Dragonsoul, discover the next volume of forbidden Drokharis magic, and make friends with an ancient, half-mad Dragonsoul, who may be even more dangerous than Mulk.
Now it’s time to hit back. Hard. Mulk and his lackeys are about to learn an important lesson: Steven doesn’t fight fair either …
Disclaimer: Cheyenne Magic (American Dragons Book 2) is a plup, shoot-em-up, action adventure, urban fantasy novel which is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This novel contains swearing, violence, and a harem of beautiful shapeshifting women that the hero regularly sleeps with—and he does so gladly.
Didn't like this one as much. Steven and his women keep getting attacked over and over again. They are completely outclassed and outnumbered and yet they keep surviving? Steven was told it usually takes decades for a dragonsoul to come into his power and lean how to control his magic and yet Steven has been at it for less than a month and he thinks he can win? I don't like it when the bad guys get beaten over and over again and right before they are killed, they escape to fight again. The magic system is pretty rudimentary and Steven's plans are kind of simple. In the end the final battle was 50 enemies against Steven, his 3 women and 1 friend and they ended up winning without losing anyone? Not going to continue with the rest of this series.
A very high octane adventure. Book is very fast paced and fun to read. The MC does a good job of taking charge and pushing to take care of those he is responsible for.
I really like these characters. This is such a fascinating story. I read each one in one sitting and really hate having to wait for the next one. Keeps me looking!
Started this series after reading Barbarian Outcasts by Aaron Crash as well and I'm a bit disappointed. On the up side I think over writing this series his writing got a lot better and he had a better layout for barbarian outcast. But for this series the main characters power level just shifts to whatever challenge he faces for no real reason, and side characters are inconsistent. Dropping this series, but wish him luck.
i was told this book was different from the first.... NOPE! another fan fic wrote by a teen but this time with Deus ex machina magic! yea so im supposed to believe him and the girls are all super magic masters in 2 weeks when they have jack shit of a idea what there doing? especially compared to others who are way older and have the same stuff as them. and don't go saying "o but they don't dive as majorly deep as they do" the poison breath one basically showed they did have to progress a long ways as color doesn't seem to realy match what they can breath and speaking of skills by the way the "skill" tree is set up they have to.. or as far as i could tell as its basically chucked out from the first one with it as i mean the first i could have some idea that each branch was lvl 1 and could unlock in that and wait on others *book two* "ehh lets just scrap that and make it more a line so we can jump these and kick them out the way. o but to make more drama we need to make it so cant go back if you do!"
then the bad guys... wow talk about incompetent im surprised they haven't been killed long before. the big 3 guys are said to be the major threats for them to worry on minus the big bad... a healer, a changer and i forget as there not to realy yea.. i listened to like 80% of the book today and still don't recall them that well other then 1 guy realy liked killing.. totally great idea having him on your team. diffidently wont be stabbed in the back by him. hell im surprised he wasn't already and a guy who is a boar who likes putting poison on tusks yet didn't have any on in the first time they ran into the hero's on a planed attack.
hell im surprised the dad was taken down so easy. 3 big super powerful books full of who knows what, able to talk with his son after death, knows and basically brothers with a super all powerful dragon that all fear.. that somehow got locked up.... and a super pin allowing ya to do magic without realy training long and hard? dose this sound like something that should be killable??
basicly just to me.. the book could be summed up as sex, sex, fight, flee, sex, sex, sex, fight, flee, sex, alie, sex, meet something that says something important but doubt well be, sex (insert broply 4 more sex's and a final fight as havn't the last 2 hours of audio book yet) and there you go.
Well, book two out of the way and i have to say that was a long ride. It was interesting though. There’s still a lot of holes in the story but it’s slowly filling up. I think Steven could be doing a lot more to practice and get powerful. Why is it that tessa is using the grimoire more than Steven? You’d think he would be pouring his life and soul into the book more than her but hes not. Also, i know hes mastering skills at an insane speed more so than other dragon souls so it would appear but i still think hes not doing enough. Also, what happened to the rest of mulks escort and vassals? Why haven’t they came looking for Steven yet? Why was the terror trio so insanely strong? It seemed that they were near immortal lol and tougher than dragons compared to Steven and the rest. I dunno, it seems that Steven shouldn’t be winning any fights the way things are stacked against him, and believe me the deck is stacked high and heavy and not in his favour but he keeps pulling out the win. I guess im just wondering now who will be next in his escort? Since he needs six to truly have real escort or will he somehow defy the odds and keep it at 3? I dunno man. Guess we’ll have to see. Onward lads!
It was a great second book in the series, the action was intense eapecially the ending of the book, the women as always amazing, and the added characters i loved as well. The only reason it is a 4 star and not a 5 star is because there were some minor things that just picked at me. The first being how difficult it was for our makn character to use his exhalant through almost the entire book and than at the ending of it he seems to be able to do it with the same advice he had towards the latter part of the book. The other part that seemed to stick me was the sex scenes, now in the first book i liked them and how they added and made sense to the story, however now they felt like filler personally, i understand you can’t dedicate a ton of time to making it out visually what is happening but still it felt like more filler than anytjong else. Again those were personal gripes and overall again an amazing book, i love dragons to much and it is hard to find good books that do dragons justice so deffinetly worth the read.
Steven had found his father's aeries and part of his grimoire and knew that with the women of his escort by his side all he now had to do was to build his hoard, and his own aeries however, before he could reach his full potential his road to becoming was paved with danger. Rhaegen Mulk, the dragonsoul who had killed Steven's parents knew that he had the potential to become the most powerful dragonsoul to ever live so he vowed to kill him before Steven even started. Rhaegen Mulk was the prime and had many vassals, a very strong escort and he was loaded with money so he took Steven for granted, and this was his first mistake. The last Drokharis scion might not seem like much but the biggest mistake anyone could do was turn their back on him, as Steven was intelligent and very resourceful, and out to prove he was the son of the great Stefan Drokharis and ready to build the Drokharis primacy once again and no one would stand in his way! Another jam packed with action, and adventure story in this thrilling dragonsoul series!
The story rushed head long into a fight decades in the making and was a thoroughly enjoyable. A male fantasy of lovely ladies falling for the Main Character who has enough love (and the physical capacity) to make all of them happy. The action is fast paced and a mix of dragon, sword, gun and magic fights. I am looking forward to reading the next book, which was recently released. Using fights and sex to ‘level up’ or power up abilities has now become fairly standard in the more erotic of the LitRPG stories and this book doesn’t do a bad job of justifying how that power works.
The first book was fast and furious - a tad too fast, but book one’s usually have little time for foreplay. Em.. so to speak. Book two is even more fast and furious, but the pacing is very good, and we get a chance to see experience more. Great characters, with marked personalities and quirks. The world and plot expand, yet we get some really nice closure on a few things. All in all a fun read, and a satisfying end. Recommended, especially after book one.
“Cheyenne Magic” picks up where “Denver Fury” left off, bringing you right back into Steven’s tale and keeping you immersed until the end. Like its predecessor, book 2 in the American Dragons series is a well-blended mix of urban fantasy, adventure, gamelit and harem, with enough sizzle of varying kinds to keep readers engrossed.
Steven knows his birthright and he knows who will pay first, a great follow up book and although a little more detail for the skill tree abilities would be welcome the character development and story progression work very well for a 2nd book. Looking forward to book 3
Steven Drokharis with his escort of three beautiful, powerful women set out to seek his destiny and revenge. But first they must gain knowledge and power. I like the action, humor, and romance. I like his concern for his loved ones. The characters are strong, compelling, and well defined. Their chemistry is great. I look forward to the next book.
Everyone knows being a dragon is the best thing ever, except when you're being hunted by your families enemies and have to fight for every moment to stay alive. Follow the continued adventures of Steven Whipp as he learns more about his family's history and how to be a dragon
A female char was fridged in the first few chapters
I liked the series so far, but fridging a female char is pretty much it for me. Didn't read past that point to know if she comes back later, don't care. Fridging is a crappy plot device and an offensive one. Nuff said.
Well when you think thing's couldn't get better surprise they just did.. Stephens life takes a few turns that had been thought out well before. As with any good saga you will be waiting for the next book.
A fun, action packed, raunchy continuation to the story of a boy turned Dragon conqueror. While there could have been a bit more mystery and intrigue I thoroughly enjoy it.
I honestly enjoyed this book a lot more than the first one, maybe because Steven wasn’t so much of a victim, or maybe because the story was just better. But I am looking forward to the next one.
Steven and his Escort were out matched but determined to stay safe and kill Mulk. All the battling helped them. They have several battles with Mulk's people until Mulk came at the with an army but they had a dangerous plan.
This is my second time reading this series there are some things I don't like that much about the story I prefer the mc to be op not a slow grind to get strong and not dependent like he is but that aside I enjoy this series
