Someone once told me that poetry is putting a single instant in something permanent, and that only a few moments are worthy of this. I for one am glad, I guess, I have more moments to immortalize… ‘Passerby’ is a journey of comprehension, contemplation, admiration, action, passion, frustration, abomination, and—finally—realization. This journey took courage, and, like Shannon L. Alder said, “Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”
