Love and Care #2

After the Weekend

Rate this book
What Graham and Avery thought would be a single night of pleasure turned into so much more. Their needs and desires lined up perfectly, and by the time they parted after three glorious days, they both knew there was far more than lust between them.

Living in different towns makes continuing their relationship challenging, but Graham visits Avery most weekends, and their bond deepens. Avery thinks Graham is the best Daddy ever and Graham loves nothing more than taking care of Avery and challenging his need to surrender. But both men are unsure exactly how far they want this relationship dynamic to go. There are so many hard questions to answer when both men would prefer to live in a fantasy world during their limited time together.

But reality is calling. Graham and Avery both have friends who need their help with major life decisions, inquisitive family members, and a growing desire to spend more time together. In order to continue their relationship, they must figure out where their boundaries lie and what they want from each other outside the bedroom.

After the Weekend continues Graham and Avery's story from Father of the Groom (Love and Care Book 1).

I’m going to be super blunt. I do not understand the purpose of this book at all. 😳 I really really loved the first book “Father of the Groom” and I had such high expectations for this one but alas, it fell short. 😭 There literally is no plot point in this book people. You can go straight from book 1 to book 3. Seriously, I mean it! 🙃 Despite Avery being super whiny, needy, insecure and doesn’t know himself of what he wants, (which get pretty tiring very soon 🙄) they agreed to work their relationship for a better and more permanent thing. And that is basically “the same” as the first book’s ending. 😒 The only saving grace in this book is the incredibly erotic and sexy smut by Silvia true to her writing. 😌 I really wanted more but it was just lacking. I’m now very interested in the story of Graham’s youngest though. And it’d also be nice to see Leo get his HEA. I really wish Silvia just cooperated the contents of this book to either first or third book of this series. Now I’m bummed! 😭

2.75 even THE incredibly erotic and kinky smut couldn’t save this book stars

This is a direct sequel to Father of the Groom, so definitely read that one first - and prepare to fall in love with Graham and Avery!

This picks up after their hot weekend together, and it truly is about what comes next after that first, explosive weekend that Avery and Graham share. How do they make a relationship work? How much kink and role play is too much, when do you stop, and how does Avery deal with the fact that Graham is much more financially secure and wants to help him in any way possible?

I loved these two together, lots of emotion, plenty of heat, and determination to make things work.

4.5 stars. Best daddy kink book I’ve read in ages. Maybe ever. The D/s relationship really worked for me. I hope book 3 isn’t a let down after this high.

* I loved the first book, "Father of the Groom" where Graham and Avery met and began their relationship. It is very sexy and exciting.*
We continue here with and * femme Avery, a hair stylist and make-up artist...

* Graham the silver fox businessman...

* They are repeatedly searching their sexy play, more and more, with lots of Daddy/boy, D/s and BDSM, and a fisting.
Both are incredibly pleased, but both are afraid the say, I love you. In order for their lives and loving to continue after months of Graham commuting, decisions need to be made. In addition, Graham wants to invest in Avery's make-up line.

* I love these men, their open honesty, fierce passion and sex play. Several other things come up with Leo and Wren, and Wren is helped from a bad situation.
We get a fabulous peek at their future.

(I can see why Silvia expanded their feelings and decisions that are cemented here, and I am happy to get to see more from these two.)
I'm ready for the next book about Navy SEAL, Blake and sassy Sean.

This book is extremely exciting, full of raw, fulfiling sexiness and play, plus we see deep storytelling.
ENJOY !

Wellllll, I'm having a hard time with this review. I liked a lot of the aspects of the book but how can I say this. Avery's being so sure one minute then OVERLY doubtful the next was making my head spin. Overall Graham and Avery's story was good looking forward to Sean, Leo and Wren.

A Joyfully Jay review.

After the Weekend is the follow up to Silvia Violet’s Father of the Groom, and probably best read after that story that introduces the men. Violet has done something really well here that not every book can do, and that is make a really engaging follow up story for characters who are introduced in a short book that is mostly focused on them meeting and hooking up. After the Weekend builds nicely on what the men have started together and we see them both continuing their hot and kinky sexual relationship, but also getting to know one another. In a book like this that is so sex focused, sometimes we lose the guys getting to know one another. But here we see them spending time together outside the bedroom and working through those challenges that they encounter. I could believe in the relationship they were building and see how what started out as just a hot weekend was really turning into something more. This is important as I felt like things moved a little too fast emotionally in the first story, so here I appreciated that I could really see the connecting building between them. There is a nice balance of the steamy and kinky side of things with the more serious relationship side as the men work through things and figure out how they fit in each other’s lives.

This book carries on from Father of the Groom. After their 3 days together in the first book, Avery and Graham are keeping contact long distance. The feelings between the men are strong and neither is ready to let the other go just yet.. Avery worries that his relationship with Graham will affect his friendship with Felicity - Graham's new daughter in law.
Graham travels out to see Avery and their time together is explosive!!
"Graham insisted, using that authorative tone that was so fucking hot I had to quickly think of horrible things liked poorly dyed hair and clumpy mascara to keep my cock from getting excited."

Both Avery and Graham are concerned about the strong feelings they have developed for each other over such a short time. They burn up the sheets together. The relationship between them works perfectly for both of them when they are together.
Will they survive the distance between them? Will one of them move??
I loved being a part of their journey. It was a fun, sexy, touching story.
I hope Leo finds his perfect match... with Sean maybe? Or Wren?? I look forward to reading more of this series!!!

I absolutely loved Father Of The Groom and this is the follow up...Seeing Graham and Avery getting to know each other better.....Graham still looks after Avery, they are still Daddy and Boy...The way they both cared for each other was amazing....It was good to get to meet Leo and Sean and i'm looking forward to Sean's book and hopefully Leo's book later too......This really is going to be a great series...Perfect x

An easy read that continues on from Graham and Avery’s weekend. Their Daddy / boy relationship deepens and reality kicks in as they work through their long distance issues. I know there was some BDSM kink in this which I usually like, but it just didn’t quite hit the mark with these two. Maybe it just felt a bit rushed.

4 stars. This easily could’ve been included with the first book as one story. There wasn’t much going on plot wise but the smut is fire. Silvia Violet does smut like nobodies business. Seriously, the scenes and kink in this book had my face feeling hot it was dirty and filthy and I loved every single scene.

The fact that I do really enjoy these books and Avery and Graham as characters is why I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 3. Avery and Graham have such a sexy and intense and also cute relationship and I’m more than happy with the ending they got. They actually talked through their problems and feelings instead of going through unnecessary drama. I also liked the side characters and I can totally see some of them getting their own spin off books.

Overall, great series if you want something quick and dirty.

"Some enchanted evening,
You may see a stranger,
You may see a stranger,
Across a crowded room,
And somehow you know..."

From their first meeting somehow Graham and Avery knew they were made just for one another. But how long can intense passion and an inkling, a yearning for more last before it fades? Neither of these men want to let go of one another and there's no one in their life that wishes them apart either. Fears and self-doubt, however, might sabotage their chances at a happily-ever-after. They'll each need to decide what they're willing to give, and let go of, to truly start their own forever, together.

The passion and sensuality are palpable and incendiary right from the start. There's no denying that they're stellar for one another in the bedroom. I really, really enjoyed watching them figure out how to navigate their comfort level with boundaries. Every aspect of it was honest and their communication was perfection. While there were moments when one of them, or both, would hold back their reservations, there was an innate understanding from the other party and they'd address the difficulty. With everything out in the open I could absolutely believe in their rightness as a couple, one that would last far longer than their initial weekend connection.

Graham was sweet, patient, understanding, caring, and all that a good Daddy should be. He seemed too good to be true but simultaneously genuine. I didn't doubt that he really was all those things. The way he felt for Avery was beautiful. His willingness to give all and be all Avery needed was so far from the smothering I was kind of expecting. Instead, there was freedom and openness in addition to the dominance Avery craved and received.

Avery had a good head on his shoulders. He did have a tendency to over-complicate things which led to the relationship's conflict, but I absolutely respected his reasoning. I wasn't a fan of everyone calling him an idiot for not wanting to jump into what Graham was offering. It annoyed me even though I agreed a little...BUT, I only agreed because he was allowing fear trump his heart and objectivity. For him to not want to take advantage of Graham was admirable. The decision Avery made in the end was perfect and well-thought out so I felt that it justified the distance even though it seemed the focus was on his emotional upset rather than finding the best solution.

Together Avery and Graham just fit. In every way they were perfect for one another. I fell in love with them even more. And the side characters were just the right amount of supportive so that they didn't overshadow Avery and Graham's evolution but were compelling enough that I MUST read their stories. Awesome story, incredible chemistry, good flow, absolutely satisfying.

¸.•*´¨)
(¸.•´ ★¸.•*´¨)
(¸.•´ ★They needed a sign...

I took a chance on the daddy/boy book Father of the Groom and stated that this kink just wasn't for me. I am anal in my reading and due to the fact that the book was a HFN, I needed to see a happy ending for Avery and Graham. Hence, taking on this book to see a HEA happen.

After the wedding and the lustful weekend, both Avery and Graham are now faced with a new realities. Life after perfection. Living in different cities, the May/December relationship was turning out to be harder than they could predict. With the quickness of their attachment to each other, both men had to make compromises in order to continue what they had started.

This was almost a miss for me, even though I liked book one. Due to my cringing anytime Avery said "Daddy", I was distracted. And oh, boy, such distraction! I will never say I won't suffer for my art, but certain kinks I just have to say no to. I will continue to support the author in her endeavors.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author through LesCourt.

I have really developed a love of May/Dec and Daddy/Boy stories lately. The Love and Care series is firmly in my list of favourites. The first book Father of the Groom was such a great and After the Weekend is a fantastic edition. In this book Avery and his Daddy Graham are moving from a weekend hook-up into a proper relationship. Theirs' is definitely a case of instalove. they meet and start a relationship within 48 hours. To be honest that's not normally my favourite but with Avery and Graham it really works. It works because of the characters. Avery is adorable. I love that he is who is his and not afraid of that. But he is vulnerable. He fell too hard and too fast for his Daddy and he doesn't know what to do with that. Graham meanwhile is the perfect Daddy. He wants to look after his boy in the bedroom and out of it. And I loved that. It gives you the aww feels. He knows just what his boy needs and what he wants. Avery may not admit but he needs the love of a good man, a good Daddy and his Daddy loved him good. And boy oh boy are these two hot together. So damn hot. You might wanna make sure no one is reading this one over your shoulder.
I'm really excited to read more of this series. Loved that we've been introduced to side characters who are just begging for their own HEA and I can't wait for those.

OMG Silvia Violet I loved book 1 but I flove this one!
Graham & Avery are seriously hot in this book falling with ease into the role of Daddy/Boy with sexy as hell scenes but with not much communication outside the roles can their relationship last?
The meal at Felicity mum's house is hilarious and I got to say I love GRANNY 😍

4,5 stelline

ATTENZIONE!

PLEASE READ FIRST MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit.):

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth Kann ing,
'Save that he kids' series from EM Leya or
'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like
an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times (most romances where you can enjoy
for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, but
not really an often reread book

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok) It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

I liked it but I think it would have worked better as a unique book instead of 2. I don’t like stories spread on two books like that. It feels greedy IMO.

I read the first part last year because i got a copy for free and only read the rest now because I’m back on KU and it was available. I almost skipped book 2 in favour of book 3 but I realised you had to read this one before. Again, not a fan of series with books that are not standalone. I love having familiar characters but I hate feeling like I have to read the past books to read one particular story.

The sexy scenes were the most interesting part in my opinion.

The rest is a lot of “should I let this rich guy pay for me to make my dream come true and move in my city” and “what’s our dynamic Daddy/boy outside the bedroom?” (I mean if this is your first Daddy kink book it could be interesting to read their discussion but I’ve read too many in the last year to like this part of this book)

I’m looking forward to the other books though!

3.5 stars, but I just can't quite round it up. Yes, I like the way this relationship is developing, but...I can't disagree with those who say that certain things have just gone really quickly here. I'm sure I'll be reading the other two, since I really want to see how their relationships work out, but I don't know if this series will make it into my top 5 kink favorites. Still, it's pretty fun, so don't let me dissuade anyone from getting their kinky book on!

This is the continuation of Graham and Avery's romance, which began in Father of the Groom. Their Daddy/boy vibe is perfect, but they occasionally falter when reality intrudes. They have to figure out how to make sure their relationship can withstand them living in separate cities and only seeing each other on weekends, as well as getting to know more about each other outside the bedroom.
I love these men, and all I want is for them to find a way to stay together. Graham is wonderful about knowing what Avery needs to let go sexually, and he only wants to make his lover as happy and fulfilled as Avery makes him. He not only accepts all the facets of Avery's personality, he also embraces them. Avery feels the same about Graham, but he has a hard time shaking his doubts. He doesn't really believe he's worthy of all that Graham offers him.
The other players in this book are wonderful. Friends and family are sometimes nosy, sometimes helpful, and always supportive of Graham and Avery. I am already looking forward to the next book in this series, which I highly recommend to all kinky romance loving readers!
