The actual words of God. The true meaning of life. This book is the foundation and hope of everything that I am.
Just finished reading it chronologically, which was really cool. It allows you to follow more clearly the story of the world and reality.
Gonna go ahead and read it again. I'll keep reading it until the day I breathe my last in this short life and am resurrected into eternity with my King and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Obviously, I had to give this book five stars. To be honest, though, reading it all in a year, it wasn’t always a five-star day. Days I wasn’t interested, days I was just going through the motions, days I zoned out. But overall, any time in God’s word is positive and I did read the whole thing this year. Also daily listened to the accompanying Bible Recap podcasts. Those were often helped up to unpack and get take-aways. This is not the correct version of study Bible I read, but close enough.

Very good with honest verbatim NKJV style approach to the text and the teachings. Contributing lesson writers have varying opinions and provide various interpretations to certain passages - thus educating the reader to what more than one viewpoint have felt about any given proverb or prophesy. If in the market for a NKJV Verbatim version companion study Bible to go along with The Holy Bible - Then this is the one for you... as the verbatim NKJV is built into the text! Thus one can match their favorite translation to the "verbatim in English as best scholars can (NKJV)" version - as well as the lessons and maps and images discussing The Holy Scriptures.

This Bible has everything I love in a Bible. First of all, the cover is exquisite and feels so good in my hands. The beautiful embossing on the top is just striking and the burgandy/maroon color is amazing. The gold edged papers and gold lettering on the spine, make this one of the prettiest Bible's I've ever seen.
It's what's inside, though, that really makes me love this Bible. I love the Comfort Print text because it makes it so much easier for me to read. As I get older, having this type of print makes the text almost pop off the page for me. It creates less eye strain and I find I can read it for a longer period of time, which I love.
The colored boxes that contain "Bible Times & Culture Notes" are a wonderful addition packed full of information that helps us to understand the culture that we are reading about. These boxes have all types of information and color pictures. I love the visual aides as it's so wonderful to actually see what they are talking about.
At the beginning of each book, there is an explanation page about the book we are about to dig into as well as a colored picture.. I love the information here as it helped me to have a clearer idea of what I am about to read.
Of course, my favorite part are the study notes. They are extensive and very easy to understand. There were several Scriptures I was reading and I wasn't quite sure what they were talking about so I looked at the study notes which explained them beautifully!
I am now using this Bible during my quiet/study time and it has enhanced my understanding of what I'm reading so much! I also love the NKJV so that has been so nice for me as I'm reading. I think everyone has their favorite translation and this is mine. I just love everything about this Bible!
If you're looking for a Bible that will help you in your studies or your reading, this is a wonderful Bible! I absolutely love it and give it 5 stars.

Each year I go through the Bible and I normally use a Bible plan plus devotion from YouVersion. YouVersion has some amazing Bible reading plans and devotions that have been extremely helpful and encouraging.
This week as I was finishing the Bible in a year the Lord reminded me of an experience we had.
When we first moved down to Honduras, 10 years ago, we were walking through the TSA security line with our four daughters, our puppy and a lot of carry on bags. As we walked through the scanners we noticed a group of TSA agents huddled around the viewing screen as they looked at my bag. They opened my bag and got my Bible out and started looking into the Bible case and the actual Bible. We asked them what the problem was and they showed us the screen and inside the spine of the Bible was a sword! We could all see it plain ad day on the screen, but obviously it was not actually there. When they were positive it was not there they let us go. When they handed it back to me Wendy told them that it was the Sword of the Spirit!
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
We hold the Sword of the Spirit that gives us knowledge and power to fight the attacks and schemes of satan. We have the actual and true words of peace, love, encouragement, and correction from a Father that absolutely loves us with a perfect love. His Word “is alive and active” and the Lord will speak directly and intimately to your heart if you allow Him to.

This is one of the best study Bibles I have ever had. I received a copy from Blog About Blogger to share my honest opinion. The photos are clear, crisp, and beautiful. The notes give new light on the scriptures. The font is big enough to read. I am an avid Bible Journaler and have Journaling Bibles for that. This Bible is my go-to Bible when I need to look up a reference or just to highlight and study.
I cannot say enough great things about this Bible!

Best Study Bible Ever
I have many Bible but I turn to this NKJV most of the time. It is full of information, such as a complete synopsis of the book your about to read. Who wrote it, the time it was written, where, etc. It's very informative. I also love how easy it is to read without changing the beautiful message of God's inspired word and the crucifiction of Christ. It's easy to navigate and as you read it provides additional information that you can read to even better understand. There is nothing that I don't like about this Study Bible. It's one of the better Study Bibles I have owned. It also includes several maps, such as the route of the Apostles, the route of Jesus, the different regions that were controlled by who, such as King David, as an example. It basically provides everything that you can imagine. I highly recommend this Study Bible. I promise you won't be dissapointed. It even provides pictures before each chapter of the areas where each book took place. Again, you won't be dissapointed and you will not need a Study Bible again after you receive this particular one.

One of the BEST Study Bibles I have ever used or bought!
This Bible has more notes on more verses than the vast majority of Study Bibles.
It is done in a verse-by-verse (as opposed to paragraph or section by paragraph or section) format in it's notes.
There are many, many cross references to other Bible verses in the notes, so you can see for yourself where the notes may or may not agree with the whole of the scripture.
Well worth getting in the premium, as I hope it to outlast me!

Great bible!
This is the best bible app that I've seen! It has great introductions on every book of the bible, great maps and charts to allow the reader to really delve into the Word of God! I read the reviews about downloading issues causing crashes but I've had no problems! God Bless!

Due to issues I was having with the corresponding app and Kindle, I decided to finish a couple days early to gear up for 2025. Thank God for fresh insight in His Word. I read 2 versions this year. It was daunting and I don't think I'll do it again but the insight was rich!

Love this translation of the Bible and the study portions were fantastic along with the maps. I read a different translation every year but I know this one will be a repeat

Its weird to say "I;m finished" cecause I'm reading the bible daily, all year long. But I did finish for about the 11th time or so. A book nobody should ignore!

Although I've since converted from Evangelicalism to Catholicism, this study Bible served its purpose well at the time I read it.

I've been reading through the Bible from start to finish every year for going on 40 years, and usually I don't review that like other books, but this one was special. Excellent study Bible. I learned a few things I never knew before. I remember how as a new believer there were many things I didn't understand... wishing I had had a Bible like this back then. Highly recommended.

Very entertaining. Best to start with book one. Books 1-4 have a common theme that concludes with book 4. 5 & 6 are stand alone mysteries but you'll enjoy them more if you read them in order. No sex, foul language or gory violence. The plots are tightly woven and intelligent. If you like period mysteries you will thoroughly enjoy these mysteries.

It's the Holy Bible. Of course, I gave it five stars! This version is an epic study Bible with robust notes for a full study experience.
