THEIR LOVE IS UNDENIABLE… Happily married for four and a half years, Beau and Ethan Walker are ready for the next phase in their lives. They want what so many people dream of: A baby.
THEIR COMMITMENT IS UNWAVERING… Expanding their family with a tiny bundle of joy isn’t as easy for them as it is for the rest of the Walker clan. However, they have options and they’re willing to do what it takes because they’ve learned that the things worth fighting for aren’t always easy, but they are definitely worth it.
THEIR STRENGTH WILL BE TESTED… Despite their deep desire and their endless efforts to start a family, there are outside forces working against them. Some they can see, others they can’t. Every step forward seems to take them two steps back.
Only during their darkest moments do Beau and Ethan realize their true strength comes from the most important things they have: love, family, and each other.
BEAU is the sequel to ETHAN (Alluring Indulgence, 5). While it can be read as a standalone since it occurs nearly five years after Beau and Ethan are married, it is recommended that you read ETHAN to understand the true strength of these two men and the infallible bond of the Walker family.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nicole Edwards spends her days stringing words together to make complete sentences. Sometimes not. Her best friend is coffee, and she has a love/hate relationship with sarcasm. She’s been accused of having a filthy imagination, which she admits is true.
Nicole lives in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. She proudly claims one husband, three grown children, and two bosses (better known as the dogs). When she isn’t writing, watching football or hockey, or keeping her bosses happy, you can probably find her with a book in hand.
For all the fans of Nicole Edwards series, and even more, for all the fans of Ethan.
Not a standalone : Beau is a follow-up of Ethan. A book I loved to no end : Ethan and Beau will always have a special place in my reading world.
Beau and Ethan have now been happily married for 4 years and their need for each other is even more intense. Not that all is sunshine and rainbows : they so much want to build a family but the road for that is going to be full of bumps and roadblocks, fuelling some unwanted insecurities and rekindling issues from the past.
What I loved : no disappointment when it came to Beau and Ethan and how Nicole Edwards delivered on their relationship. They are so damned hot (should come with a warning, LOL).
But here come my personal tastes. It felt a bit too crowded for me with all the Walkers showing (it reminded me of a book I read lately : Made Mine: A Protectors / Made Marian Crossover. This time, I didn’t count the number of characters appearing with all the kids, but it would make for an interesting contest. Even though I enjoyed experiencing again the tightness of the Walkers family, more is less). And from personal experience, the struggle of having children and heavy details of pregnancy are topics that bring me into a frame of mind I don’t relish. But that point is only on me.
Nonetheless, I was glad getting good news from Beau and Ethan, and I’m sure that all their fans will be satisfied.
This sequel to Ethan (GR is acting up and won't let me insert the link) is basically the most heartmelting extended HEA for Ethan and Beau.
Here, we pick up five years later with Ethan and Beau wanting to start a family. There's ups and downs, outside forces trying to tear them down...but through it all, these two fight for what they want.
Seeing Ethan and Beau again was fantastic, and moreso with the fact that they're stronger and more in love than ever! Never for one second is there any relationship drama or any doubt about how strong and inpenetrable their bond is.
Also, seeing the Walker family dynamic (with Curtis and Lorrie at it's head) gave me all the heart happy smiles. Their quirky traditions, unconditional love, never-ending humor, and unyielding support of one another was one of my favorite things about this book. This family is seriously amazing.
This would have easily been a 5 star read for me, if it wasn't for two things:
(1) I feel like Ethan's depression and anxiety was carelessly portrayed. There was no talk about therapy, counseling or possibly need for medication. You can't just have a bad few days or weeks with love curing all. It doesn't work that way. In my opinion, Nicole Edwards is being quite irresponsible in how she depicted Ethan and Beau's treatment of Ethan's issues.
(2) Holy hell is there a lot of sex in this book. Don't get me wrong, I like a good romp as much as the next person...but it was way too much here. It added nothing to the story. It was pure porn thrown in. There's almost a sex scene in EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER.
For anyone that's read Ethan, this is a MUST READ. Trust me, you won't want to put the book down!
3.5 stars ... This is one of my favorite series and Ethan was one of my best. I was so excited about Beau’s book - he’s deep, strong and of course perfect for Ethan. I wondered where this might head and what the Walkers would be up to. I mean seriously.. The Walkers ❤️❤️❤️ however while I enjoyed this, I didn’t love it. I get the surrogate issue, the homophobia/ hatred and the constant sex but it felt like these key elements were slapped together and turned into a book. I didn’t feel real invested in this one - so no doubt I’m in the minority. I know that Ethan & Beau love and adore each other and I know the Walkers are tight ! I guess this one just missed the mark for me.
This book has a spoiler in it so read at your own risk. This book is one of the reasons that Nicole Edwards is one of my favorite author and go to a one click must buy for me this book had me only getting 4 hours sleep. This was book 5 in the "Walkers of Coyote Ridge" series and the follow up book to "Ethan book 5 in the Alluring Indulgence series". Ethan and Beau Walker have been married for five years now and they have had their ups and downs and through it all they have had each other and the love and support of the Walkers. They are looking to start a family of their own after watching all the Walker brothers settle down and start having babies and boy do they Lorrie and Curtis Walker have a house full of grandkids and Beau is the kids favorite uncle Ethan knows that he will be a great father. When Beau's father has a stroke they find out why they haven't found a surrogate turns out Beau parents who disowned him when he came out is interfering with his life and the Walker's aren't going to sit back and let that happen. This book was filled with all the things that I love this author for I laughed and I cried in this one right along with some down and dirty hot and sexy sex scenes Ethan and Beau can't get enough of each other. When they get an offer to carry their kid they know they can't refuse and I was surprised at who it came from I was thinking someone else. While having an ultrasound they get a surprise and it was funny because Ethan had to be caught he almost passed out. Beau's mother was a horrible person and I wanted to slap her for the way she treated her son but when her husband died I was glad that she decided to make up with her only child and the bomb that she dropped was a big surprise. This was a really good read and so worth the wait. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I love reading Ms. Edwards books and I am hoping that she writes about Keegan and his twin next.
**** Cowboys, guts, deep love ! A terrific continuation of Ethan and Beau's life. Getting a baby is tougher than they figured, but then they find out why. A despicable interference. Reeling from the setback, a new hope stepped right in to help them.
Marvelous characters we met in "Ethan" and the rest of the series. The fantastic Walker family's love and devotion is there as the brothers are all popping out babies. Soon, our couple will have their turn. All isn't smooth, but the strength shines through. Curtis, Ethan's Dad, is amazing. Beau and Ethan take on every task, stay on track, and their sexy times are hotter than ever. Tender, rough, sweet, tough, and deeply passion filled.
This magnificent story will answer questions and show us how strong a family's love can be. Loved it ! Highly recommended. ENJOY !
I was so excited to catch up with Beau and Ethan again. Their book in the Alluring Indulgence series was one of my favourites. This story picks up about 4 1/2 yrs into their married life and it revolves around one major event, them wanting to start a family. We get to ride along with them every step of the way, all the upsets, all the hurdles and challenges they face to become a gay married couple with children. I absolutely loved the story and every other Walker family member was right there! Curtis and Lorrie have so many grand babies, I was gooing and gahing right along with them LOL.
For anyone that enjoyed reading "Ethan", it's a must to read this continuation of their relationship, very satisfying.
The fifth book in the crossover series, The Walkers of Coyote Bridge, Beau picks up on the wonderful love story that started in Ethan (Alluring Indulgence book 5)
It was great to catch up with this hot sexy couple but now married a few years they move forward to the next step of their lives together. However whereas in the past they have both been able to make things happen this one thing has them struggling and testing their relationship. It doesn’t help with the interference from Beau’s hateful family.
Ethan has always been my favourite book of Nicole Edwards and I was eager to see how he and Beau had evolved in their marriage. It was an emotive read with plenty of sexy time and still held a bit of comedic value even though it touches on an emotional issue.
I would definitely recommend reading Ethan from the Alluring Indulgence series before reading this book. Four stars.
*ARC kindly provided by the author to Foxylutely Books.
I am so sad that I couldn't finish this book, because I adored Ethan. I think the biggest problem is how big this family is and the mention throughout of ALL the brothers, their spouses AND their children. It got to be overwhelming, and frankly, kind of annoying\frustrating.
Such a beautiful continuation of Beau & Ethan's story. It was heartbreaking, heartwarming, sweet & sexy all at the same time!
Beau & Ethan are one of my favorite Walker couples. The passion they share is still as strong as it was on day one & it only grows stronger with each passing day. *le sigh*
What Zoey did for the two of them was AMAZING. I was secretly hoping that that was the way things would go down & I was right! Woot-woot!! Very ecstatic with the results!
Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the entire Walker family but first... I gotta go back & read the rest of the Coyote Ridge books!
I was obessed with Ethan's book in the Alluring Indulgence series and it's still an all time fave of mine... So I was very excited but also very nervous for this book to come out...and now that I've read it , I have to say I'm sad it's over. I absolutely love this couple and am sooo NOT ready to say goodbye to them! I'm already re-reading and I think I'll leave a more detailed review when I've finished again....but wow what a perfect ending for these two! The love, chemsitry and hotness between Ethan and Beau is stronger then ever! Romance , Super Steamy and a Great Story...for all E&B fans Beau's book did not disappoint!
Ethan and Beau are easily my favorite couple of the Walkers and I so enjoyed reading how their HEA was going four years later! The struggles for their dreams of parenthood was a big focus and I was delighted to see how everything came together. While it was also neat to catch up on the entire Walker clan-along with lots of babies!-sometimes they crowded the storyline, but it was a minor nuisance considering the end result.
As is the case with most fans of Nicole Edwards and her Alluring Indulgence series, I’ve been waiting a really long time for this story. Beau and Ethan are easily one of my top couples in this author’s library…and she has a lot of amazing couples and trios!
The trajectory of this story is so perfect. Most parents go through ups and downs during their quest for a child. There are often hopes dashed and major insecurities. Of course, that would be even more of an issue for a gay couple. Or any other so-called non-conventional couple for the matter. Ms. Edwards really takes the reader through these ups and downs in such a loving and respectful way. Especially the way she deals with Ethan’s history of depression. Only someone who truly knows those feelings could have done such an amazing job with those emotions.
Getting a peek into the lives of the rest of the Walker siblings is an added bonus to this story after not seeing them a lot lately. What a great bunch they all are; spouses, relatives, and children included. Also, seeing Beau interact with all those kids is the sweetest thing, it’s no wonder Ethan wanted to make his husband’s dreams come true.
I’m going to stress that you really should read Ethan before reading this story. I think you would still enjoy Beau, but there are so many deeper emotions you may miss by skipping Ethan. You’ll also miss out on the trajectory of Beau’s relationship with his parents and the acceptance Beau gets from Ethan’s family.
This glorious story is all I was hoping for and more.
5 Star review of Beau (The Walkers of Coyote Ridge #5) by Nicole Edwards This story picks up around 4 and a half years after Ethan ended . Beau and Ethan's love is still as strong as ever and now they are ready to take their relationship to the next level and add a child to their family. They want want Ethan's brothers have, the joy and happiness that a child will bring into their loves. Beau and Ethan know that it will not be simple or easy to add to their family but their commitment and determination is firm. Sadly not everyone wants to see these two men who are connected deeply and so in love get the family that they long for. The love and support that The Walker family and their friends show Beau and Ethan as they struggle to achieve their dreams is truly heart warming. This a story of love conquering, what at times appears to be insurmountable obstacles. Reading a book about any of the family is like coming home. I loved the journey that Beau, Ethan and the Walkers embarked on in this story. Beau is a story of love, not just the love between Beau and Ethan but the overwhelming love that they have for family and friends. Will Beau and Ethan get the family they crave? One click and find out.
More Beau and Ethan, YES PLEASE and man does Nicole Edwards deliver one hell of a story for these two. If you haven’t read Ethan, I would highly recommend it, aside from being a great book on it’s own you really get to know Ethan and Beau and their love. This book picks up five years later as Beau and Ethan are trying to start a family and the struggles they face.
I absolutely adore these two and the relationship they have! There is so much passion and love between these two and they are always there to support each other. There is so much that happens in this book and I don’t want to spoil anything at all, but the thing I loved the most was as these two faced struggles and painful times, they remain committed to each other and do what they have to make sure they each know it. I also loved getting to see the Walker family again, they are just so freaking amazing! They are what unconditional love and support really looks like and it’s beautiful.
As Beau and Ethan go through this journey it’s definitely not easy, but this is a story of hope and faith and true love. We see these guys go through the highs and lows and they do it together, this is most certainly a must read book. It will make your heart so happy and full!
This series and especially the Walker brothers have such a special place in my heart and it's definitely one of my favorite series. Nicole Edwards is one of my favorite authors and never seems to disappoint me. I definitely think that, even though you could read this as a standalone, it's best to read Ethan first so you can understand the depth of the relationships more. We pick up 4 years later after "Ethan" has ended as Beau and Ethan have been happily married. These two just have wurmed their way into my heart and I was so happy to read more of them and to see where their story would even lead up to...
Ethan and Beau have been married very happily and are trying to extend their family but it doesn't go as easily as they thought it would be and when they find out the real reason behind it, it'll shatter their whole world. But someone lends a hand and tries to make their dream come true although the past seems to be still standing in their way. When finally everything seems to be falling into place, there's still something holding Ethan back but with the love and support of Beau there's nothing that can hold them back. Will Beau and Ethan finally have the family they so desperately want and deserve?...
This living family started with the book Kaleb and I was hooked from the start. You will fall head over heels for this family and the other characters. Ethan and Beau are one of my favorite same sex couples. Ethan has had to overcome alot with his past and depression. Beau had a crazy family life and when he came out things got worse. You learn about their past in Ethan's book and Beau is a update on their lives and hopes for a family. Grab this story and enjoy.
I have enjoyed and read every book in this series and I was so glad when Nicole Edwards announced that she wrote Beau's story. I recommend reading Ethan's book, to understand their story. It begins 4-4 1/2 years after Ethan and Beau's marriage/ book. It's a book of just under 400 pgs. and well packed with so many emotions and how a loving extended family can help heal when your future is crushed by someone filled with hatred. It's a love story of two men, who began a relationship together, married and now wanting to create a family.
Wow. Beau and Ethan are most likely my favorite couple in this series. The ups and downs were crazy. Heart wrenching and joyous times to be had by all. Nicole Edwards, Thanks so much for continuing their story. 💜💜💜
Ethan and Beau are my favorite Walker couple and I’m so happy they got a sequel! Loved this story filled with Walker updates, especially Ethan and Beau’s getting what they’ve always wanted!
WOW!!!! So many feels.....I laughed and cried and LOVED!!! A must read a great follow up to Ethan. Loves these boys and all the Walkers!! Nicole truly outdid herself!! AMAZING!!!!
4.5 stars...I have been anxiously awaiting the sequel to Ethan and Beau did not disappoint!! I love the Walker family and I love Beau and Ethan's unwavering support and love for one another regardless of whatever life throws their way. My only niggle, and this is just me, is there was a lot of internal musings where I prefer more dialogue..But, be that as it may, I was left with the warm and fuzzies and there were happy tears!! I love these boys and this family hard!! I'm so thankful the author decided to continue their story!!
I had no idea all of the emotions that would be running through me while reading Ethan and Beau’s story. Honestly all of the issues that these two faced made me so upset but what did make my heart sing was most of the time these two were such a united force. The love they had for each other just pulsed right off the page. That more than anything else touched me so deeply. I have to admit I did shed a few tears during some of the struggles. Not only sad tears but happy tears as well. The closeness of the Walker family gets me in the feels every single time. I never knew how much I needed this story until I read it. Such a great addition to the series.
wow...it took me a year to get through this book. And honestly it's probably because enough time has passed that I forgot how annoyed I was at being so excited for it since I liked Ethan so much and how big of a disappointment it turned out to be.
This book is unnecessarily long, mainly because it is FILLED with exactly 4 things, over. And over. And over again: 1) someone in the Walker family (let's be honest, at this point they can fill a small country) is giving birth, and it's apparently mandatory that they all be there - for those who've read all the books, how in God's name do you keep up with all these people??? 2) some variation of drama with Arlene. I get that this is an arc that was set up in Ethan and that it's Beau's story, but, like the other 3 things, we're beaten over the head with it 3) POV shifts to Curtis or one of the Walker brothers, which is always them feeling sorry for one or both MCs and vowing hell's fury to anyone who messes with his family. Also, the way Curtis addresses all of them as 'boy' irritates me for some reason. I thought parents used that when their kid was in trouble or something? It makes me feel like he's always mad at them 4) literally the same sex scene, preluded by (to me) awkward "dirty" talk. Hey, whatever floats your boat (I guess)
Generally there was over-involvement of the other family members and I just didn't care to read about them (y'all are close, we get it). This book was a bit laborious to get through, which is unfortunate considering its predecessor
